I am a law enforcement officer in Illinois. Blockshopper claims they will allow LE to opt out of their listing, which puts my and my wife's name on my home under their listing. However i have reached out several times to the email they specified and not gotten a response. All I want is the names associated with my home removed from their site. They do not serve any purpose as the site claims other than to provide an easy way from criminals to harass my family.

I have no prior business with this company. They leech information from government resources and then cry public information when you submit a request under CCPA. This particular request was in regards to a safety concern as I am a teacher and recently was a victim of an attack to my personal property. Via cameras I have seen unknown individuals outside my home at all hours of the night.

The first incident was swept under the rug to protect the involved parties. So no police report sadly. The following as they have not ended with damage yet have not yet reached a level I can't file a police report.

This company wants you to have already been attacked rather than prevent an attack.

They hide all their information via private registries because they clearly know how dangerous information like that could be. They profit off information from the government. They know no one is using their site for anything other than stalking.

All other "realtor" websites give only information about the houses and properties, but not who owns them and other private information.

We have contacted Blockshopper on multiple occasions to remove our identifying information from their listing of our house. California law requires that our information be removed, and we have sent them all of the relevant documentation to substantiate this, but they are ignoring our request and messages.

Many years ago we did reach out to them, regarding this same info and the same law, and they honored our opt out request, changing the name on the listing to a pseudonym. But more recently it has reverted back to our real names, and ever since they have been non-responsive.

California law stipulates that their non-compliance allows us to take them to court and seek damages, which we will pursue if this is not addressed.

I sent him an email and they ignored it, so I sent them another one requesting to remove my home and name from an internet search of me. They told me as well to contact the assessors office that it's public information. I threatened legal action, and they still didn't budge. This poses a danger, especially in this hateful world we live in.

How is this not illegal?!

I have filed two complaints this year. Neither have been resolved, nor have I heard from the board. I am looking at the number of complaints filed and the number resolved is low. I am wondering if the the board will actually reach out to me to insure that someone is taking a look aty complaint.

This site is dangerous and trying to post information about people who aren't even selling their homes and in this day, putting people safety in danger.

I have somebody who has stalked me and vandalized my home and I can't prove who it is. I wanted my name removed from my street address. it's one thing to have your property online but it's another to have your name. I've requested that my name be removed and they refuse I just cannot have my name out there on the internet and they told me that unless I have a restraining order that they're not going to help me. I don't even know who this person is in order to get a restraining order so the fact that they refuse to take my name off their website has put me in great danger by somebody who has been vandalizing my home.

All of my information on my home is available on the website I have tried now contacting them three times by email and twice by phone. One of the numbers available is disconnected. Scarlett Simpson who is the point of contact is useless, I’m guessing it’s a bot email because there is no person that I have been able to come in contact with to help me get this resolved. I want my information taken Down.

I reached out to [protected]@blockshopper.com 7/18/22 at 11:15AM and asked kindly for her to take my name, address and how much I paid for my home of their website and she will not.

I stated I am a public figure and any other site I have run into in the past happily removed my information.

Do I need to get a lawyer?

This is the only site online that has this information.

I have emailed Blockshopper multiple times requesting they remove our personal information, with our names and home address, and they have never complied. This is dangerous for our information to be displayed on the internet, and an invasion of our privacy. Please remove our names, Trina and Albert Gooden, from website.

Blockshopper.com refuses to remove my personal information after numerous requests. This creates a safety concern for myself and my family. Blockshopper is marketing my private information for profit while ignoring my wishes and creating a potentially dangerous situation.

Completely absurd. I never had such an issue trying to remove my house address from the internet. I politely explained I am a healthcare worker who deals with a variety of different kind of people and it’s a safety concern to have my address out on the internet. They refused to take it down without a police report. I hope they get taken down.

We have had a security issue and have asked blockshopper over months to remove our information. To be clear, we have been threatened by an extended family member and we need this removed for our safety as this comes up in Google search. Like many others no response to numerous emails to blockshopper with this request despite our safety concerns. We are very frustrated with the sites lack of concern for our society and safety issues for their own greed (advertising revenue). It's really sad that their founder and CEO Tim Landon doesnt take this issue more seriously.

I followed the google recommendation on how to remove it by sending them an email requesting the information be removed, but they refused saying they will only do it if I am a police officer and similar profession because according to them they got the information on the county site. But the county information does not show up on google search for a reason,

I've already requested that my information be removed from block shopper and Scarlett Simpson emailed me to let me know they have no opt out policy. In many municipalities the names of homeowners will not populate an address out of concern for the safety of the property. I have been inundated with calls about purchasing my house to the point where I get several daily from random numbers even though I've blocked them. At this point they are facilitating harassment by paying Google to come up at the top of a search. If they get paid off my data whether or public or private I should as well.

They have my personal information online, making it accessible to anyone - my name, last name, address, home information. Just google my name and you will see my name, home address, how much I paid for my house, the date when I bought it, etc. I know it is public information, but I didn't authorize them to make it accessible online. I want them to remove all my information from their website.

I emailed a request to blockshopper.com to remove my personal, private information from their website, and I got a generic response back that they would not honor my opt-out request. It is the ONLY company that has refused my opt-out request. They should not be in business with such lack of ethics.

I have tried on several occasions to request the company form listing my home on this home shopping site. My house is not for sale and they should not list it as a agent would. I do not wish my name or property to be listed as if it were an active for sale listing. I believe that California has a law that protects my privacy rights.
All other websites have removed my information upon my request except this company. They ignored my first few emails and finally received a reply indicating that basically they do not have to remove my information. My home is NOT for sale and should NOT be listed on a website for home buyers.
I don't think it's right that they can list my property as I have not retained them as an agent to post my property,

This company will sporadically respond from "Scarlett" with a copy/pasted verbiage. Why is this company allowed to post inaccurate data?

I've never heard of this website. All someone has to do is search my name on the internet and my full address comes up at their fingertips. What I paid for my house, taxes, date I moved there etc. What right do they have to post this personal information that at anytime can jeopardize myself or my family's safety. They refuse to remove or consider removing any information without a police report or other personal information. What right do they have to request that. I see complaints going back to 2010 on this website. Why can't they be shut down. They are jeopardizing our safety.
