Biggest Loser Time To Change Format!

Stop changing the show format. Every year it gets worst! The orignal Biggest Loser format was the most successful and the most appreciated. The first and second seasons were the best!

The idiot psycho babble, the whine fests and the humiliation factor are all major turn offs. The premiere episode 2010 was almost intolerable. Thank goodness for TIVO!

NBC seems to forget that they are alienating their audience in a big way. This season every contestant has an issue! Puh-leeze!

Overweight people are your biggest audience!

Shape Up NBC!

I absolutely hate the new premise... if there was 1 more commercial about bob and his heart attack, I would have had 1. so much ridiculous over patting on the back of the contestants... wake up people.. they are fat because of being cuddled and given rewards for bad behavior - either by themselves or their partners - or they are just lazy.

I know... I am 5.6 and 257 pounds so not some skinny minny complaining...

The show has no spunk. nothing to get you motivated. it is so dull and boring I ended up fast forwarding or not watching.

The male trainer is so busy showing off his body and looking at himself and flexing he has no clue who he is really working with.

While I totally appreciate that the female trainer was fat and got healthy.. if she cried one more time I was going to throw up.

There is no back bone anymore. the finale was the biggest dud of finales I can image. no more weighing all the contestants... why? you could tell some did nothing after they went home, so now we no longer make them accountable, no, we coddle them.

No make over show. that was a good part.

It was a waste of time. nothing to motivate you into watching. biggest snooze fest.

The girl that ended up looking anorexic... that was on her, not the show. so instead of making a few adjustments, nope as usual... bend over backwards and make it into a love fest... duhhhhhhhhhh I highly doubt in a year any of them will have maintained the weight loss, why should they, they were never really held accountable. instead all the excuses were just put out there.

And since when is bob a licensed therapist? doling out platitudes.

You ruined a good show... a show we all gathered to watch and learn... snooze fest

This season Biggest Loser (in 2020) has been the worst. There are so many things that are changed, and not for the best. It is no longer on NBC. It is now on USA. The number of people working at Biggest Loser has changed. They no longer have the doctor who spoke to the contestants. Also, they did not have a make over day for the women. One thing that really bothers me is that the young man, Mika, is with some older people. Naturally he is going to win almost all the challenges. He won all the challenges except one. He is young compared to the rest of them and in pretty good shape. He was not a good fit for this group of people. I really could not warm up to the contestants this year. Another thing, the relatives did not come out to visit the contestants.

Biggest Loser I find this show so offensive on so many levels

I'm a female that weights 120 pounds and I'm 5'7" so no I am not fat. I find this show so offensive on so many levels. The only positive thing is it may motivate some obese viewers to go to the gym and watch their diet. However, it's unrealistic to force Marine Corps STYLE workouts on people who have had minimal movement for years. Also, I witnessed one woman fall and break her nose. The show got upset with her son for paying attention to her (HIS OWN MOTHER). Instead they advised him to ignore his bleeding mother while she's rushed to the emergency room and instead TO just work out. How many of us can ignore a loved family member bleed profusely from their face after having fallen on their face?!? It was so upsetting to watch. In addition, fitness Pros have complained about the program!

I love the Biggest Loser show and do not miss one week. To my dismay, yesterday's challenge which aired on April 26, 2011, had the contestants pulling a car, a replay of the episode which Tara won. I have nothing against Tara and commend her on starting a foundation to help others. I do not agree that it was appropriate to bring in a former contestant, mind you, to compete in a challenge with current contestants, and the noncontestant was Tara. The former Olympic champion Ruehn (spelling?) was one of the contestants on the show. It really meant a lot for him to win that competition and get a chance at having his likeness on the Wheaties' Box, an opportunity that he did not have when he was in the Olympics. He should have been able to compete against the other current contestants, fair and square, let the chips fall as they may, without any of this nonsense bringing Tara in to compete equally for the prizes. Tara should have been excluded from the competition. She knew the ins and outs of that challenge and she was not a competitor. It was called a photofinish and the tape was reviewed. Tara was declared the winner and Ruehn came in 1st from the contestant competitors yet won nothing. Tara was an outsider and she was still allowed to collect the $5, 000 pot for her charity and also get her picture on the box of Wheaties. Ruehn also was the first contestant to ever walk off the Biggest Loser Show, and he did so last night after this challenge, described above, was aired. He said it was for personal reasons and was within 15 pounds of his goal weight, a real success story. I do not blame him for leaving, even if he does not divulge that the truth might have something to do with the unfairness of this challenge. He is too much of a gentleman to even mention it and did not want to seem like a sore loser. As an observer and lover of the Biggest Loser, I was very dissapointed in the way this was handled and feel that Ruehn was treated unfairly. Since when are outsiders brought in to compete against current competitors, equally for the winning prize(s, and the true winner from the group of current contestants is snubbed? I know how shabby I would have felt in his position. At least you could have had 2 prizes for the Wheaties picture or something else appropriate to acknowledge the contestants who participated in this most-difficult challenge and their true winner. This was not about Tara! Her time in the spotlight was on her show. Shame on you Biggest Loser. More power to you Ruehn and I wish you success in all of your lifetime.

I think that Doctor went over the line giving the date of when that contestant would die.

What bothers me about the show is many will apply hoping to get help and only a few are picked. Why or Why don't those that need to lose weight look elsewhere... If you need to lose weight the time is NOW not hope that you get picked for a show...

I went on the internet and found a free program that I have been on for several years..
sparkpeople.com. I'm disabled and confined to a wheelchair... so it's taking me longer to lose.
So far I've lost 134 lbs. and have about 80 more to go.

You can't sit in a chair watching the Biggest Loser with a large bag of chip and a huge soda and wish you would be picked for the show.

Biggest Loser Scam

The show is great! Beware of the club! I tried the 10 day free trial. I could see right away that it wouldn't really help me, so I called within hours and cancelled. They gave me a confirmation number. At day 10 they charged my card. I called in again, they could see that I cancelled, so they put in for a refund. That'll take 7 to 10 days. The 3 books are on the way. I'm suppose to pay shipping to send them back in new condition. This seems like a scam to me.

Why don't they make a show with on the other extreme side? People who have to stay skinny. People who won't eat. Why can't they break people like they do on biggest loser on the other side of the scale. Their issues are just as bad but no sees them like the people on biggest loser. You have one extreme to the other, why not make a show about it. Both obese and extremely skinny at an unhealthy range, both need help, both need to be health the right way. Skinny doesn't mean healthy, let the world know the truth of it.

I understand your point. But the point of this show is to get out of the morbidly obese range, which I'm thinking is more dangerous than being on the other end of the scale (no pun intended). I can almost guarantee you that more Americans are obese than underweight.

Biggest Loser Money scam

I joined the Biggest loser club a month ago, and, without even sending me the biggest loser books I ordered, my account was terminated without warning or explanation. I wrote a complaint email asking why my account was terminated (I didn't cancel it, and it was paid up in full) but four days later still haven't heard back. I was really enjoying the meal plans, as I have never planned a meal in my life, outside of "where do you want to go to eat today?". I really want my BLC account back, how can I reach them if they don't answer their emails?

I just watched the biggest loser and was disgusted to find they haven't even got their facts right, they stated that champagne has less calories than dry white wine and red wine. WRONG here are just a couple of websites that prove them wrong.

I am a big fan of the show, or I should say that I was. I loved the heart in the show, honest people working their hearts out to change their lives. What happened to that? What's with keeping people on the show who don't want to be there and aren't showing they want to be there. What's with letting the strong manipulate and use the weak to their advantage, Everyone is missing out, You are cheating people out of a chance to change their lives, What happened to your motto about changing lives, this isn't supposed to be a reality, drama session, we'd watch a rigged episode of the Bachelorette if we wanted that. I expected more out of Biggest Looser.

I had the same thing happen to me, except luckily the charges on my credit card were reversed. I didn't notice until I tried to log on to BLC and was notified at that time that my account had been terminated. I wrote to the BLC asking why the termination and did receive an email back within 72 hours (as promised) saying there had been problems with my credit card, which is ridiculous. I had seen they had charged it right away. My husband thinks they realized that they would have to ship to Canada and this would cost them more money, and therefore, they manufactured the problem with the credit card. I don't have problems with my credit card at all. But I am just as happy, though, as I am not too pleased with their customer service. I do enjoy the books I bought at a book store in the US on my last trip. I use some of the recipes and all of the exercise program. It's just very odd behaviour on their part.
