In January I was seeking medical insurance since the plans under the Affordable Care Act are too expensive.
After receiving numerous calls from all over the country soliciting their plans, I decided to take a call from Richard at Atlas. He sold me on their services and plan of $69.99 per month with a 30-day money back guarantee.
I did not receive information about providers, in a timely manner, so I wasn't able to use the services to see if this was a plan for me. However, I did received a Mediguard prescription card.
An electronic deduction of $69.99 was taken from my account for the month of February. Two payments in the same amount have now been taken out for the month of March (2017).
I have been trying to reach their office via phone and email. After repeated attempts to reach them and leave a voicemail -- my calls were disconnected, even after being instructed to hold.
I finally received emails and a phone call from Jennifer N. She informed me she would and had canceled my membership. When I asked if they would be refunding both premium charges ($69.99), she became rude, defensive, and impatient when I asked to speak with a supervisor -- she hung up on me.
According to my bank, I may need to cancel my credit card to avoid any further charges and difficulty in getting immediately assistance, reversal of excessive charges, and cancellation of my medical plan.
I would not recommend this company based on my short experience but also the difficulty in reaching customer service.
