This complaint is from a model's perspective. I've been working on the site as a webcam model and have had a number of problems. The site allows members to scam models relatively easily, when you turn to Adultwork for help they offer none. This week I lost a large amount of money when Adultwork took some from my account without contacting me at all. When I enquired why they said a member had used a stolen credit card to spend credits with me, he had chargebacked and they had taken the money from me straight out of my account without speaking to me. I think this is disgusting. If a member is able to use a stolen credit card it is because their fraud system isn't good enough, in NO WAY is the model responsible. More importantly Adultwork makes millions in profit, the models don't, it is disgusting that they make models cover lost money from THEIR substandard fraud system because of their own greed. They are faceless and offer no support, their customer service for models is pretty much nill, they exploit models and their attitude is 'if you don't like it leave'. If you are a model thinking of working for this site - DON'T.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
1) A review of likely involvement of the cam girl is conducted. If the site believe that she was complicit in the fraud, i.e. knew the guy was going to chargeback and was using the Site to actually launder money, then yes this can happen.
2) AdultWork.com has an extensive help section and upon closure of any article a form appears allowing you to make contact.
3) All camsites operate this way and it is unreasonable to expect Adultwork.com to absorb a) the loss amount charged back, and b) the fees they are charged by their bank (which in some cases exceeds the actual amount charged-back). As it turns out and as a result of these fees AdultWork.com lose more than the cam girl in such situations.
4) AdultWork.com is one of the highest payout cam sites, if they were to absorb all fishy chargeback cases (as some they do absorb), then they would need to bring their fees more inline with the big players out there, i.e. only payout 30%.
