1st for Women Insurance First for women insurance company (m1998004804) buying leads?

Received a personal phone call from an agent for and on behalf FIRST FOR WOMEN INSURANCE COMPANY (M1998004804), and she immediately went to first name basis! I am sorry, you buy my information, you disregard the POPIA act and then you go on a first name basis?

Basic common telephone etiquette: When you make a personal call, you are on a first name basis with the person you are calling and when you make a business call i.e. selling any product etc. you address the person on their surname and you introduce yourself, ask if it is a convenient time (seeing that it after 5pm) and then state the purpose of your call.

When you are asked multiple times where the caller got your information, you better not state that someone must have made a typing error. How on earth did someone make a typing error if the caller was on a first name basis?

Just because I am proud member of the #LGBTQIA+ community and identify as He/Him/His DOES NOT give you the right to harass me nor invade my privacy after hours nor show complete disregard to my Human Rights by implying being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community that I automatically identify as female.

1st for Women Insurance 48h since claim submission

On Monday I submitted a claim for my fridge which was struck by lightning on Saturday evening. It’s been over 48 hours now and I haven’t heard anything from the assigned consultant. Yesterday I called and I was assured that I’ll be contacted by 5pm however I’m still waiting.

All my monthly groceries, purchased on Saturday went off by now.

I’ve been paying all my premiums each month for years.

This is unacceptable.

1st for Women Insurance - Poor insurance investigation and no contact

Possibly one of the worst insurance companies around when it comes to claims stage. This company that markets and advertises everywhere will try everything in it's power to refute a claim from honest and premium paying clients. From the start of my claim, they always made it clear that they would find some way of not paying me out.( that's what they...

1st for Women Insurance Insurance

Very very poor service!

First for women is not first for us women, they're First for THEMSELVES! They take women for absolute fools !

I had a break in at my house, my car and home content is insured, well "supposedly " I've been with Ffw for YEARS. I did not have receipts as I bought it years ago. Because of this they paid out what I paid for it years ago, on top of that, the excess was over R2000 wich makes it even more impossible to replace ! I was told over a recorded phone call receipts doesn't matter, not everyone keeps receipts after a long period of time.

I'm very disappointed, I can't afford to replace what was stolen. Insurance companies are supposed to pay out replacement value of today, not prices I paid 3-5 years ago.

I've been with them for almost 10 years!

Desired outcome: I WANT THE REPLACEMENT VALUE OF TODAY, AUGUST 2023.

1st for Women Insurance Incorrect debit order date

I have a debit order that runs monthly on the 21st and was debited yesterday without my knowledge, only to find out today when I am filling petrol that there’s no money on my acc. This is happening now for the second time where I get debited 3days before my salary date and I clarified this previously and didn’t expect the same mistake. I have been on call now for over 40mins where I was advised that the money will be refunded In 10mins and now I am told so and so manager is not available on weekends. What a shame on me now at the petrol station, my day plans crushed. Never mind the airtime I am spending holding this call where no one is showing, I asked for team leader or manager and they still hunted for over an hour.

Desired outcome: I need an immediate refund of n order for me to pay my bills

1st for Women Insurance Unprofessionalism during claim investigation

My Partner was involved in an accident, someone did not stop at a traffic light and drove into her car (back). All required documents were submitted and First For Women sent unprofessional investigators who are going around my Partner's work place asking just anyone about her and telling people they are investigating about her; not even at least asking Management!.

Response emails are not as nice as when First For Women is telling you about their product and how they are there to assist when you need assistance.

It so disappointing to see how you deal with your client when in need of your assistance.

1st for Women Insurance Handling of claim

Submit claim on App on 24 October. 2 days later first contact via whatsapp with assessor. Assessor askes for all the same photos as already submitted on App. On App and on Whatsapp mentioned Panelbeater I want to use, but I also submit alternative Quotation that I have also obtained on App and to assessor. Assessor decides to ignore me and pics panelbeater of the quote. Takes 2 more days to change panel beater on documentation. Still not informing me. Assessor never provided claim number to me. Only got claim number from advisor on App when I had to ask for it. Advisor assesment half of claim I did provide as guideline and help. Still not received copy of assessor claim 2 days later and after repeatedly asking for it.

I have been a loayal customer for 10 + years and never had a claim. Extremly disappointed with handling, communication, bad service and app is useless if not used and utilesed by the employees!

Desired outcome: Service, resolve, improve,

1st for Women Insurance Faults due to repairs

I had an insurance claim in October 2021, My car went to Renew it in Randburg for repairs to my rear. I started experiencing difficulties with my car as there was a battery drainage and would always have to jump start my car. Took my car in to the dealership for a diagnostic only to find out it was due to a boot lock switch and trunk lock being faulty as a result of the repairs.

I contacted FFW and an assessor for Straighthough contacted me and I shared the information with him including the invoices and quotes. I decided to fix my car myself and would obviously submit the invoices to the assessors to get reimbursed. I 've been following up with the assessors and I was told they've handed over the claim back to FFW and a consultant would be in touch. It has been 3 weeks, I haven't received any call, I have tried calling calling in multiple times and my calls get redirected and I'm just left with empty promises of a consultant calling me back.

Desired outcome: I would like to get reimbursed on the money I spent to get the switch repaired.

On the 21st June I called customer center to cancel my VAP insurance that I had with you for many years which is deducting R200.55 per month. I didn't want it to deduct in June. As far as I know it was cancelled and I received a letter of cancellation. To my surprise on the 25th June 1st for women deducted on my bank twice for VAP [protected] R163.00 (do I did not sign up for) and VAP [protected] R200.55 (that I cancelled on the 21st June). I was then transferred to cancellations department to cancel the policy I am aware of, the policy I initially wanted to cancel on the 21st June. I therefore request refund for these.

1st for Women Insurance First for women car insurance

In February 2022 one of my cars (BMW) was involved in an accident where the front bumper, day and fog lights were damaged. A claim was logged and I was told to send the car to Technorstar for fixing of all the above damages. Unfortunately they did a subpar job with regards to fixing the car. Immediately after receiving the car back we noticed that the bumper is not aligned, day light is not working as well the left fog light. This was reported to the panel beaters in March 2022 and they promised to look into it until this day we have not had any feedback from them regardless of the fact that we have been calling them weekly to follow up. We have also tried calling first for women to try and log a complaint for the service provided but all we were told is that the issue has been noted.

Desired outcome: I’d appreciate a response from the insurance and a possible rectification of the mistakes in fixing in car.
