Budget Suites of America black mold

So I was staying at the Budget Suites about 2 years ago & I am still battling the health issues from a reaction to the black mold. While staying there, I complained about it multiple times & no one ever came to see about it. I was in & out of the hospital constantly & it has just taken a toll on my physical, mental, & financial even 2 years later. I tried to leave it behind but it's still haunting me. I would love to speak with someone about this.

Budget Suites of America the stove

This email was sent to the managers 12.17.19
Two came to the apartment and gave the exact same assessment in regard to this issue. At this moment - still no resolve.

"I am writing this email as I have exhausted multiple attempts to resolve this issue with management and maintenance verbally, and through "maintenance requests."

My family and I have been residents of Budget Suites since August 2018. Since July 2019, we have not had a fully working stove appliance.

I have noted (and put in several maintenance requests) to date the following:
- The light indicators do not work to confirm that the unit is on.
- The front eye does not work. I have had several visits to replace the eye itself, with each visit resulting in the same problem. The eye worked once, but turned on only when the knob was turned on HIGH, with varying temperature. I have even reported a blue spark coming from the eye at one attempt to turn on. I'm no electrician, however the information I've researched certainly does not secure me in any attempt to use the stove safely.
-The oven heats rapidly, and many times over cooks or unevenly cooks.

I have several witnesses along with recorded videos to show my hand on the stove eye - with the knob "on" but no heat is generating.

At this point, we are beyond frustrated at the flawed attempts to cover whatever issue this appliance has. We question - is it or is it not the responsibility of Budget Suites to provide safe, working appliances to its residents? Over the course of our stay, we have encountered rude and poor customer service, which to an extent can be overlooked. (Although I personally would recommend customer service training or enforcement if such training exists). We have endured idle threats to be "put out" if late payment occurred again (again, a reflection of poor customer service). We have witnessed rules and regulations not be applicable to all residents and yet still make every attempt to comply with the standards of living here. We have put in maintenance request orders that have not been acknowledged until months later, i.e. the covering over the kitchen light was just placed on within the last two weeks after it being requested months prior. All of these things can be slightly overlooked to a degree, although personally I don't think they should be. But more than anything, what cannot be continued to be overlooked is the expectation of an on time full payment each and every week/month with no responsibility on management to provide fully working, necessary appliances. According to the Budget Suites website, this is indeed one of the listed offers. In the same manner that you, Budget Suites, would like your payments consistently - we, the residents, would like fully working appliances.

Budget Suites of America infestation, customer service, false information, not following proper procedure, not humane

I recently moved into the budget a moth ago. I am here on business through alliance Rx There was a discrepancy where an employee gave me the wrong information concerning rent and the general manager knocked on my door and told me to would have to vacate if I didn't have the funds to pay for my stay by the end of the day after being told I could pay the following Friday and because I couldn't provide the name of the employee he used that to his advantage to tell me I would still have to vacate. They have a very friendly staff however upon arrival and visitation after paying (I did not understand that procedure) of the room I noticed roaches. I addressed the issue and was told by the general manager that someone would come to the room and have it sprayed. I stayed home from work that day and no result. I returned the following week to pay again and was told they would take care of it and here we are on or 6th week and there has yet to be an accommodation. last week 40.00 was taken out of my room while I was away at work and the door was unlocked after I locked it for fact before work at this time I would like to either be compensated or further action will take place this is ridiculous. if any additional information is required be sure to contact me [protected]

Budget Suites of America Unfair banning

I was a tenant for four months before my place of vacancy was burglarized and i was assaulted by another one of the tenants on the day of October 5th 2019. The assailant claimed to have lived with me for the two months prior the incident but in truth we had only been acquainted for the short time. In turn I've learned the man that kicked my door in out of anger and assaulted me is still allowed to live on the property, where as I was not permitted to continue living there. To my surprise I've learned that I was also banned from the property while my assailant continues to be allowed to continue living there and openly making hostile threats against my life. local authority was called by my assailant and because of this, his testimony held more weight against my own and the testimony of other tenants who witnessed the incident occur. In short because the assailant not only withheld information from both the property security and local police but also refused to press charges I was soon released with my case dismissed. It is upsetting to learn that I was not only evicted and banned but that my assailant is allowed to live on the property as well despite being banned himself. the resolution I desire is for my banning from the stated company properties to be ceased so that i may seek vacancy elsewhere. I should not be held accountable for the inadequacy of the staff and onsite security nor will I stand to be the scapegoat. An Injustice was done to me by your company for a crime being committed against me. If allowed I request a full refund of my last payed rent for the unsafe and unfair conditions I've been subjected to.

Budget Suites of America rm 1104

I had rented room 1104 on 10/24/19 for one week and paid $545.00, not 12 hours later I contacted the manager and explained that I would have to go out of town and would not be needing the room and asked if I could get a partial refund, to which I was told no. I did not spend a single night, and am now out $545.00. No credit for a future stay, no partial refund. I would have been more than happy to pay for half a week as I did think and would have been glad to stay, but now have such a bad taste in my mouth, feel somewhat violated and taken advantage of. The property is at capacity and they should have no problem in renting out the room. Very shady.

I am an employee of a local garage having to do with gas and monkeys, my brother is the co-host on a world famous television show and I have the support of the company attorneys on this matter. I think it professional to take care of this matter directly, but will take further legal action if need be. Let's be adult and come up with some sort of solution.

Budget Suites of America room stayed

Neighbors around area are not property checked out a lot of drug dealing in budget suite .
I could not sleep complaint to budget suite .
Budget suite front told neighbors.
I reported hearing lots of activity noises all through the night could not sleep for work next and day after it's been a couple of weeks of high trafficking in and out room above my room in central Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona .
I am not getting my hard earn money worth is what I paid for to be safe and secure while my stay here I should pay less for drug dealer and drug heads environments .

Budget Suites of America tax refund check

We've been waiting since august for our tax refund check and havent received anything. When are we going to get it? Its been 9 weeks. We are also charged for flooring when we were given no option on carpet or hardwood floor. How is that fair? We now have to pay for internet too per device. Im 8 months pregnant and having all these fees spring up on us after being here since july isnt cool. We also stayed here last year and was told we would get our deposit back and never received that either. We stayed for a week or 2 in december. Left with it as clean as when we came and got attitude when the lady called and I told her we had left, we were moving out of state, and wasnt given our deposit back. They knew when we moved in it would be a short stay because we were moving. We are owed money and im getting mad that no one is paying it back to us.

Budget Suites of America Front desk clerk named teresa

There is a woman in the front office of the budget suites she's EXTREMELY rude curses at the tenants makes rude comments and has a very very nasty attitude this is the 7 or 8th time I have been mistreated and talked to like a child by this woman in the office and management does nothing about it they continue to let her work here ... please someone do something about this lady . We've been staying here 6 months and are tired of being treated poorly by this woman

Budget Suites of America deposit, living conditions, overall satisfaction

First of all the room we rented for the week was barely tolerable between the plumbing that kept a constant puddle by the toilet, the manager never told us it was going to take 4-8 weeks to mail us a check back for the deposit after being approved. Which took a few weeks alone. I will never ever even consider staying here again or any other location, I'd rather sleep outside on the curb

Budget Suites of America management/hazards

I lived here since January and have been charged for a microwave ive never recurved, paying for a phone that has never worked and haven't received a new one (several calls to office)
Ive spent MANY days cleaning up trash that was scattered ALL OVER the court yard, pool area when I took my kids swimming, and I front of all the doors on my side of the building that was trashed by all the UNSUPERVISED children running a muck all over the place. (Have been thanked by many residents and security guards) On 7/12/2019 I came home from work and the floor was flooded due to the AC unit leaking excessively on the floor. Nasty black/brown water that would cover your feet. After many calls to office a maintenance man came, emptied out the ac unit and left with the floor flooded. Took me hours to soak up all the water and 4 days for it to dry with my fan pointed at the floor. 2 days later it was flooded again but this time worse to where my daughter slipped and slid across the kitchen into the bathroom from the water spreading into the hard floor. In desperation I paid a handy man to check out my ac unit, he pulled it out and said it needed to be replaced, the mold was INSANE! The whole wall underneath it is rotted! Many calls to office, floor remains flooded.
I was staying there while I was waiting for the home I bought to be ready. After some unexpected expenses for our new home i knew I needed to move out of budget and make other arrangements for the next couple days (bc my home would be ready) I came home from work with boxes and the room was locked. EVERYTHING I OWN is in that room. They put a notice on my door saying that I needed to move out within 48 hrs or they will file with justice of the peace. But they wouldn't let me move out, now each day all my stuff is in there, they are charging me late fees (that they're telling me I have to pay in order to get all my stuff out!) so now I called and asked them for the court date... they said they haven't filed... so now I'm confused? They are threatening me that I have to pay to get my stuff out, or they're throwing it away, but had the notice on my door telling me to get my stuff out or they're going to justice of the peace? (Police department said legally they cannot touch our stuff until the court date)
I obviously don't have the money to pay (or else I would have paid the rent so we can move out and clean out the room) but they want me to get my stuff out... but won't let me get my stuff out without paying? I guess I just have to call the police for a civil stand by... this all could've been avoided by just letting me move out! There was NO way I could've left work early to do this (yes I called them and told them when I would be there, they said it's fine) but when I got there they locked my door!

Budget Suites of America manager wrongfully withholding security deposit return

My husband and I moved in April 2016, stayed till May 2019. We were never happy there. The manager Marcus Grogan is withholding the security deposit return that is owed to my husband and I. He stated that he's not going to pay it because when my husband & I left in May 2019, he erroneously claims that we left the unit dirty and that we also left garbage bags in it. We have pictures proving that his claim is false but he never replies back to our faxes. The unit has always had a problem with black mold that was never taken care of by management, despite the serious health hazards black mold presents. When we first moved in, the toilet was already broken, with a crack that leaked (assuming) tank water. The tiles in the kitchen were already crumbling, the dresser had broken drawers (they were finally fixed in April 2019). The manager also insisted on charging us the weekly fees for a TV we kept putting in work orders to remove since we had our own. We never got a refund for the charges even though we constantly requested to have it remived, and it's listed on the receipt as an OPTION a tenant can choose to have. Which adds up to $1558.44! And now he's wrongfully withholding the return for the security deposit! An additional $300!

Budget Suites of America staff service/ 7 day no cause given

Hello,
My name is Trinia and is hoping to have someone to care about my concerns.
725.261.1641.

I was a loyal tenant since 2007. I do not like to complain but I feel as a returning loyal tenant I needed to let someone see how I am being treated. Even as working for a competitor with Emerald Suites South. I always recommended the location in Rancho S Las Vegas to people that needed a very safe and a positive environment to live. I never imagine after my son Josiah getting robbed at gun point we still stayed at this property. Also I was given a note about my service dogs. The front staff in the morning grabbed the paper out off my hand when I was letting her know about my emotional pets. Next folliwing week was being charge for a microwave that has not been working since we moved here. Staff harassment every week for 2 months straight than I get a 7 day no cause to move. Spoke to the GM because the AGM on the weekend especially Sam was rude. Then I had to wait until Monday to ask why and Sally said that they will not work with us because of complaints which I was not aware. For 1 there is a Security guard who I thought was my friend but I guess since I did not allow any further action now he has been putting complaints and I was never aware off. As a single mom with 2 boys living with me has put a bad taste on this property. As a lead desk clerk at my last job. We never gave anyone especially during hard times to give a 7 day no cause. My old boss with Emerald was surprise that this was given. We only gave a 5 day's pay or quit but never a no cause. We also work things out with loyal tenants that never missed or pay late. If a loyal tenant is a nuisance to the other tenants which we were never told or warned than relocate them to assist them but never put a single mom on the streets. I just recommended to other co-workers but told them not to settle in. Now we have to pack again and relocate. I was hoping this was a dream but I would never ever recommend this location so that the people or new tenants will never experience this awful feeling...Yelling from the staff especially from AGM telling me I was calling too many times and all I wanted was a answer. I was also told not to talk face to face with the GM Sally. So if this is how you are going to treat loyal tenants, maybe this place is not a place to feel home and also no free wi-fi and i was purchasing 4 × 7.50 plus rent and 80% it didn't work. We are not perfect but we will obide by the rules. It only takes to talk to as a human being not as an animal. I hate to leave this property right now especially during hard times but I guess if I might maybe get a response back from upper management and with a heart. How are we supposed to move if I am still paying rent and have until the Oct 12 to relocate our lives again. I will not be able to afford to relocate in a short time without a vehicle and a child to change school. Please assist.

Budget Suites of America tax rebate check

I have been waiting for my tax rebate from the Budget Suites of America location off of Walnut Ridge Road in Irving I have called several times I've even called the corporate office to no Prevail I'm always given the runaround and 4 months later I still do not have my check. I was told originally by corporate that my paperwork was never sent off and that they would give me a call within the hour that has been 3 months and I still haven't heard from anyone I called the location on Monday and was told again I'd be called back within an hour and I haven't heard from anyone yet again. What is the point of telling customers that after staying for so long your taxes will be sit back to you in form of a check if you do not receive a check so whatever scam that's going on I don't appreciate it and I'd like for it to be solved immediately

Budget Suites of America Living conditions; management

We have been plagued by a group of extremely noisy neighbors who live next to us. Despite complaining to the management staff (the manager avoids taking direct phone calls from the residents) nothing has been done to remedy the issue.

Not only that, but there are numerous unsupervised children running around on the grounds and destroying the property. One child threw a basketball at our front window and took off running.

There are drug dealers all around the complex, and residents fighting. The ambulance is over here nightly due to someone overdosing. The security here is almost nonexistent, and there have been numerous vehicle break-ins and theft. When security does manage to show up, they do little to nothing to curb the problem.

This place used to be so much better than it currently is. All I'm asking for is a return to the safe, quiet environment that we used to have around here. Because I am losing sleep with all of this noise!

They just woke me up in the middle of the night, banging loudly on my wall for no reason. Something needs to be done about this.

I couldn't agree more.

I can absolutely vouch that the observations/experiences the above customer made/has had is true.

My husband & I live at the same Budget Suites on Stemmons. Between the noise,
doors slamming, fights, destructive (and, obviously, unsupervised) screaming kids, the horrific "cooking" odors, the incessant smoke detector alarms, car part thefts, roving gangs of menacing thugs, police and ambulances always present (except when you NEED them), open drug & prostitution sales, and a conspicuously indifferent and/or avoidant staff/manager/security team, I'm ready to try my luck at literal HOMELESSNESS.

Budget Suites of America Multiple bed bug problems

Hello my name is dana bailey I have been here at budget suites two years in october. And have never originally had a bed bug problem. But as of recent that has been multiple bed bugs in the seam of my mattress. I have went to management to get a resolve and they pretended to give us a new mattress after the complaint of multiple bites and bed bugs on the mattress. All the management did was take our original mattress and wrap it with painters plastic that was tied in a knot. And as of last month the bedbugs has returned even more. They said they sent someone to spray but are refusing to give us a new mattress! And this morning I I woke up to tingling and itching in my nose just to blow it and find a [censored]ing bedbug in it! Now i'm having to take off work and go to doctor to make sure I am ok! I refuse to pay rent on thursday just to sleep with bugs and nothing to be done about it!

Budget Suites of America bed bugs

I've been staying at budget suites of America for nearly a month I thought my daughter had mosquito bites do the monsoon season but when we took her to the ER they said they weren't mosquito bites, we later discovered they were bedbug bites we also discovered a bedbug in the home as well we are currently still staying here due to our financial situation we are not happy we are not satisfied and we would like a full refund before taking this to the department of public health we have pictures and you do not appreciate the place My email is [protected]@gmail.com please contact me as soon as possible with a solution to this problem

Budget Suites of America tax check not here after 4 months. office no help

After numerous complaints and four months of waiting, including the manager telling us after two months that he made a mistake and forgot to send for it, we still have not received our tax refund check from the office. We keep checking every week yet we are always put off and have have only been spoken to once about this. I am starting to feel like i am being scamed out of my money. We have been repeatedly told its coming. What should i do and who can i talk to, to make sure i get this check asap as it has almost been half a year. I now feel like this is never going to be handled. Please help us remedy this problem. Thank you.

Budget Suites of America three days wait for payment

On noon August 31, 2019, Marcus the manager at this location would rather see me and my cat on the streets of Lewisville, TX than wait 3 days until the 3rd for rent payment. When I commit suicide on the 6th, I'll make sure that any news agency that cares knows it was Budget Suites of America that couldn't wait 3 days that was the last straw. All any one wanted was money. Budget Suites won't even wait for that. Again, they would rather I live on the streets than wait 3 days for payment.

Budget Suites of America rent hikes and closed pool

The rent just went up again and they sited impovements to the property which is what they should do anyway and THEY should incur the expenses since the property belongs to them. Right after raising the rent, they closed both pools without even saying why. One has been closed for 3 weeks now and the other one closed 4 days ago with signs just saying POOL CLOSED. How rude to treat customers that way, especially right after another $10 a week rate hike. They are not even working on the pools! It's been 105 degrees every day and the pools are closed without so much as an explaination why. I think it's just a power trip for them.

I can't get in the room to get my stuff and I broke and I homeless and I need that money back really badly I don't got nowhere and they said that manager is new I ain't got nowhere to live I broke and homeless they won't give me money back at all I don't know what to do right now I scared they gonna steal my stuff while I on the street I really need help I need a to place
