Third Party Service providers are always a crap shoot for the contractors that actually perform the services but it's a necessary risk because of the opportunity to pick up contracts that would otherwise be unavailable.
That said, I will now provide my own description of a work order gone South that resulted in my decision to end any and all future work with BOSS.
As a twenty+ year superintendent of commercial retail construction, primarily on Gap, Limited, Disney, and the like, I have had my share of "hands on" experiences when things fall through the cracks and no one else is around to take care of them.
School of Hard Knocks holds the highest prestige amongst tradesmen, so when a "gray beard" suggests alternatives, most listen.
But when the observation is that something is just wrong, it's even more important to pay attention.
Now, as the owner of a company that provides punchlist repairs and after warranty service work, I put my years of experience to work and have had much success.
Until I agreed to install wall graphics over existing graphics for a BOSS client.
Disney has been putting up graphics since before people knew what they were, so I've got quite a background in them.
The 3M product that was ordered and delivered for installation was NOT intended for wall applications. It is a vinyl film used on vehicles, such as city buses, and the like. It was a disaster, and the end result was not pretty, much less accepted.
I owned responsibility, reluctantly, but agreed to pay for the replacement of the graphics and would not be receiving payment for the night's labor and travel.
However, the accepted work order for another project, for another client, in another town, is now being with held so as to pay for the costs associated with that failed install.
It's wrong. It's illegal. And it's being challenged in small claims court.
It's EXACTLY what subcontractors need to know about the outfits that they enter these service agreements with.
Buyer Beware. In the scheme of things, BOSS is small potatoes to the clients relations that I have established.
Never forget that they need US much more than we need THEM.

BOSS is a horrible company to work for. We have done several jobs for them and it is always the same story. They expect exceptional service, yet they don't want to pay on their agreed upon terms. Their accounts payable department will never return calls or emails, yet if there is a problem with a job the head of the their company has no problem calling or emailing to ask for discounts etc. If your a vendor or a potential customer, please stay away. There are some bigger outfits who pay on time and appreciate their vendors and don't take 75 days to pay net 45 terms. Theyre bullies...stay away!

BOSS Facility services are a typical small FM company. They subcontract from larger companies, such as JLL and others and have a list of small businesses they sub the work to. They have very few of their own clients and the ones they do have are extremely small. They claim to pay on net 45 day terms, and just as all the other smaller FM companies, they do not. I wouldn't advise working with them, they hire young people, fresh out of high school and have them questioning skilled tradesman. There are much bigger FM companies with a lot more to offer who can appreciate skilled vendors. Their employee turnover rate is rapid, what is that saying? If they can't keep their employees happy what do you think they will do to their vendors?
STAY AWAY!

Boss Facility Services beware of unfair business practises. If your a contractor or sub they will nit pick your work to death and not want to pay for your services. Larger companies hide behind BOSS so work is performed at extremely high levels so they can get your services cheep.
It is ran by a group of just graduated high school kids that hide behind emails and voice mail.
Don't expect to get paid for at least 2 months.
Not worth the work there clueless.
If you do except work make sure you get 75% money up front and have a iron clad contract so you can get a mechanics lien of some sort to insure you get money.
Its really not worth the money
