Outdated Business Practices: Gift Cards Useless Online, Frustrating for Big & Tall Shoppers
This company is really behind the times. They offer gift cards, but it's impossible to use them on their website. You have to call customer service to use them. It's really frustrating because I'm a big and tall guy and the stores don't carry my size, so I have to shop online. But my gift card is useless because I can't use it online. It doesn't make sense to me. If they have a system for credit cards and a system for gift cards, why can't they link them together? It seems like they're doing it on purpose to make it difficult for people like me who don't have time to call and use the gift card. They already have the money from people buying the gift cards, so they don't care if we can't use them. It's all about making a profit for them. I think it's really bad business practices.
Disappointing Experience with Boot Barn: Poor Packaging and Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Boot Barn. I ordered a gift set of boot care items - cleaner, conditioner, cloth, and brush - in a fancy wooden box. I was excited to give it as a gift, but when the package arrived, it was just in a flimsy mailer envelope. No padding or anything. And you guessed it - the box was totally trashed. The cardboard insert that was supposed to hold the products was all bent up and useless.
So, I called customer service to see what they could do. It took me a good 20 minutes just to get to a real person, and when I finally did, she couldn't do anything for me. She told me to send photos via email, which I did. Their response? They could replace the item, give me a refund, or give me a 20% discount if I wanted to keep the "boots". Um, hello? Did they even read my email? There were no boots involved!
It's pretty clear to me that they have no idea what's going on, and they don't seem to care about my dissatisfaction. To make matters worse, the item is sold out and they can't replace it. So, I asked for a full refund (including shipping) and we'll see how that goes.
Honestly, I'm not impressed with Boot Barn's customer service. They clearly didn't take any care in packaging my item, and they didn't seem to understand my issue when I contacted them. I'll definitely be telling my friends to steer clear of this company.

I recently visited the Boot Barn website to purchase a pair of boots for my fiance as a Christmas gift. He works hard every day and needed a new pair of boots to help with his ankle pain. I was excited to surprise him with a new pair of boots, but unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived. The boots I purchased were leaking, and my fiance was coming home with wet feet. I was disappointed, but we decided to visit the Boot Barn store in Uniontown to see if we could get a refund or exchange.
When we arrived at the store, my fiance decided to go with a different pair of boots, a cowboy boot that would still be suitable for work. We were happy to have found a new pair of boots that would hopefully be comfortable and supportive for his ankles. However, our happiness was short-lived once again. One of the boots ended up shrinking, and my fiance couldn't even get it on his foot. We were frustrated and disappointed that we had to go through this again.
We decided to return the boots to Boot Barn, and I was not interested in purchasing any other items from their store. The quality of their products was disappointing, and it was frustrating to have to work in old shoes until we could afford to purchase new boots again.
Overall, my experience with Boot Barn was not a positive one. I was disappointed with the quality of their products and the inconvenience of having to return them. I hope that they can improve their products and customer service in the future.

I recently had an experience with Boot Barn that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I had been in the market for a new pair of shoes and decided to treat myself to something nice. I had never paid over $50 for shoes before, but I thought I would splurge a little and see what Boot Barn had to offer.
I made the 45-mile trek to the Boot Barn in Bend, excited to see what they had in store. Unfortunately, they only had size 13 shoes available, and I wear a size 14 or 15 depending on the shoe. The sales associate told me she could order the shoes for me, which I was happy to hear. However, when I tried to pay with cash, she told me she couldn't accept it and suggested I buy a gift card instead. This was the first red flag.
Despite my reservations, I handed over $150 in cash and she ordered the shoes for me. A few days later, I received the shoes in the mail. Unfortunately, they didn't fit well, so I tried to exchange them for a size 14. To my disappointment, I was told they didn't make the shoes in a size 14, only 13 and 15.
This meant I had to make a 90-mile round trip to return the shoes and get my money back. However, I was told they couldn't give me a refund, only another gift card. This felt like a scam to me. I had been scammed out of $130 by Boot Barn.
I was frustrated and disappointed by this experience. I felt like I had been taken advantage of and that Boot Barn didn't care about their customers. I would not recommend shopping at Boot Barn and will not be returning in the future. It's important to shop elsewhere and avoid being scammed like I was.
My father was excited to visit boot barn.
Drove an hour to your location. Went in and had no one greet us. My dad had to use the bathroom which said vacant but the door man or woman were locked. We tried to get the attention of any of the three people working but no one acknowledged us. My father urinated himself cause we couldn't use your bathrooms! How embarrassed he was. Will never return and will be damn sure no one else we know will enter your store either.

Went to buy boots at store and heard a conversation between employees that they have to work long periods without breaks, even food breaks, and also work weekends non stop due to the poor management and scheduling of store manager. Also, someone should do something about store lights and Wi-Fi... Looks like a cavern trying to find boots in the dark there, and we can't even search your own website as there's no Wi-Fi or internet inside store. Had to come out of store to search for boots on the website. As a concerned customer and responsible adult worker also. These situations should be addressed by company, as clearly the person managing the store doesn't care for its staff or store and shows clear signs of inadequate management capabilities.
Desired outcome: That actually someone do something about this store!

Work boots
Went to Boot Barn to get work boots. They did not have correct size at store but was told I could order on line. I went home and the next day I placed the order on line and was pumped..only to receive an email 15 mins later saying that the boots were not in stock. I waited several days for restock I tried to order boots again. After trying to checkout for 20 mins (should've been red flag then) I finally got ordered and received confirmation number. Later that day i received another confirmation for shipping and a tracking number. (Free 2 day shipping on 75.00 or over purchase) WELL that has been over a week ago. UPS has never received the package and after 3 emails and 2 phone calls. (which you sit on hold for over an hour each) I learned that now I have to wait 7-10 days for them to find out where and what happened to boots. In the mean time I'm out $132.00 and wearing worn out boots to work! THANKS BOOT BARN! I have several friends and family who shop or wanna shop there and I WILL NOT RECOMMEND shopping there to anyone! BUYERS BEWARE!

Store manager
The store manager, talk about employees behind their back and tore down the other female employees working there. They also play favorites and everyone was so dishonest and pushed me to quit every time I went in to work my shift. The Company I loved working for and loved selling their products. The manager made it very hard for me to Enjoy selling.

I went to bootbarn at valley view mall cause I hadn't been since it had opened while I was shopping in the girls section. And I over heard two workers talking to each other. One seemed like a manager and the other one I don't know. But all I heard was the guy cussing and talking to his employee like she didn't have any common sense. As I was walking up to the register to check out I asked the girl who that was. And she said it was her manager. I didn't say anything about it to her. But I don't think that's the right way for a manager to talk to his employees. I will not be shopping here anymore. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect no matter ow high on the Totem pole.

Lina was extremely rude when my fiance and i went into to purchase jeans and boots. when we asked where something was or for a size she just pointed in the direction and left. then when ringing us up she was rude and had an attitudde when asked if someone else could help us she was snotty and said why? We ended up just leaving and we don't feel we should be treated like that. she seemed extrememly flustered and all over the place yet the store was not busy.
left sunglasses in store went back to retrieve them
I left a pair of Coasta sunglasses in the Marshall Texas store. I went back with my mother and told them they were mine. The manager said "No they belong to some guy." I told my Mother they were my sunglasses." Plus if you heard my voice it is a very low tone and I get mistaken for a guy a lot. I went in there a second time asked about them they said, " Samantha has them and wasn't in that day. I asked them to have her call me. left number no phone call. I went back and asked for my Coasta sunglasses and now they cant find them. those sun glasses are over $250.00. I know they were there and now I cant get them because no one knows where they are. I want my sunglasses.

My daughter ordered some boots online in January for her wedding. They were too small so we took them into the store in February to exchange them for the next size up. The boots were in the original packaging and box that they were shipped in. She never received a receipt or packing slip when she placed the order. The only thing she received was the charge on her bank statement. Before we said anything the manager Cindy walked up with an attitude. She exclaimed they always email a receipt and she would "do it this time". Why have that kind of attitude when we spent over $200 it isn't like we were asking for our money back. We will never shop at this store again. Buyer be ware they just want your money and their customer service sucks!

Don't use them if you don't want to be poorly treated.
I purchased shoes, paid for an expedited shipping and was immediately charged. A couple of days later I found out that the shos I ordered were unavailable and nobody knew when exactly they would be in stock. The representative I talked to laughed at me and said that it's kind of silly to be frustrated because of it. Oh really? You took my money for something you don't even have, stupid [censored]s!
incredibly difficult ordering process
I don't have time to sit on hold and talk to someone for the 3rd time on this issue so I decided to email them. I ordered a sweater, it was cancelled on their end with no reason, I called and reordered, the wrong item was sent, I had a $30 coupon (due to boots I purchased in the summer) was charged the correct amount of $15.26 on 10/5. Now I see 2 pending charges of $33.29 on 10/16 and $41.97 on 10/22 which I shouldn't be charged ANYTHING - I haven't even received the correct item yet and the wrong item has been returned. I don't even want the sweater anymore, just give me money back and stop charging me!

Treated very poorly. Manager at the Ocala, Florida Boot Barn has zero customer service skills in my opinion. What an attitude.
I found the employees to be friendly and helpful. The manager showed up, and immediately it was a [censor]-fest. Wasted an hour trying things on. Abandoned my potential purchase due to her poor people skills. I'll shop elsewhere.

I placed an order on-line December 7th, order still hadn't shipped by the 12th! I called to inquire, I was told that my order was shipping that day and I would receive an email confirmation. 5 pm came and still no email. I called again and was told it hadn't shipped and it would take 5-8 days to process the order. I then asked if I could upgrade my shipping and was told no changes could be made! My package didn't ship until the 14th, it is now the 19th and I still don't have it! These items are Christmas gifts that still need to be wrapped ( not an option)and shipped out of state, needless to say I will never order online from this company ( who recently bought Sheplers) and the kids won't get their presents before Christmas!

I ordered my husband a pair of boots for Valentine's Day online. I noticed the order never went thru so I called. They said the order didn't show in their system so they had me place a second order. I received both orders. The boots didn't fit so I sent one back for an exchanged and was promised a call tag to send back the second pair since it was their error. 2 months later calling them repeatedly I finally today got a label by speaking with a supervisor. She said that they didn't have my email correct even though I have confirmed my email with many reps prior to her. I asked if they had a discount or anything for my troubles and as a slap in the face offered me a 10% coupon off my next order. NO THANK YOU! I will NEVER recommend Boot Barn to anyone ever again and am seeing if I can file a formal complaint with the better business bureau.
Seller fooled me and hasn't sent my order
The website www.bootbarn.com is total rip off and their shoes are awful. I ordered a pair of boots, paid for them and waited for confirmation email or the tracking number. The seller never sent the shoes, so I sent several emails and asked about the status of my order. Later I found out that he charged my card twice. I sent more emails, but no answer from them. I fed up with their silence. So I wanted to open a case against this seller, please leave comments if you haven't received your purchase.
