    Body ReformYelp is a scam

Our clients spent time constructing well-written reviews, only to have some of them deleted by Yelp. Then, Yelp had the audacity to ask us for $300 a month to have our "placement" improved. I'm sure if I'd given them $300 a month they would put all of our testimonials back on line. If they cared about what consumers had to say they wouldn't erase honest testimonials, and they wouldn't give preferential treatment to businesses that will pay their extraordinary fee. I'm looking at Google now for reviews, Yelp is a scam!

Classic example of someone not knowing what they are talking about and making themselves look [censor]ed by spewing hot air and acting as if they are a mind reader.

        1) "Placement" probably refers to where you show up in search results, I.E. "Sponsered result" which is PLACED above the search results for any term... just like what happens in any google search

        2) You have probably never signed an advertising contract. $300/mo is really a standard price in the range of what most advertisers would charge. Check yellowpages and see what they say.

        3) Even if you google your business your yelp page will probably be in the top 3 results anyway

        4) You probably asked your clients to write yelp reviews for you (explaining why your so irate) which goes against the basic service the site tries to provide people like us.

So your pissed off because you tried to game the system by soliciting reviews and they caught you. Then they offered you a legitimate way to benefit from their services and you turned it down because you aren't familiar with standard advertising costs and practices. Then you come here to blow hot air because you are too ignorant or lazy to do something as simple as reading their FAQ in regards to their reviews and the review filter designed to thwart dishonest reviews solicited by business like you which ruin the site for people like me. Sound about right?
