Bob Evans no gloves worn!!

My family and I recently ate at Bob Evans, we were seated at a table to where you could see where the staff fixes salads etc.. We observed a waitress fixing a salad with her bare hands. She put the salad in a dish and pressed it down with her bare hands, and when she would add more toppings she would use her bare hands to press it down in the dish. And right after that our waitress had been out side, when she came in from outside she did not wash her hands, she got my to go box and used her bare hands to get my bread and put it in the box. I did not say anything to the employees, I threw the box with the bread inside away. I think that all employees who handle food should always wear gloves.

Bob Evans meatloaf meal

Had ordered the meat loaf quite some time ago and it was thick and very good tasting.

Ordered the same meal on 10/25/19 at the same location. Meat loaf was thin sliced, undoubtedly from some meat loaf log. The taste was pathetic, many just pepper.

Manager came around asking how our meals were and I told him about the lousy meat loaf. He stated they had received numerous complaints about this "new" meat loaf from many customers. He stated the corporate office has received the complaints but turned a deaf ear.

Don't order the meat loaf - it is uneatable!

My husband and I have ordered your turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes many, many times for takeout. Last evening we ordered the turkey (the smaller dish, which we have ordered before) and it said that it came with mashed potatoes. We picked it up and when we opened our containers we could not believe the pitiful looking meal. It was cold, and in one corner there were 2 thin half pieces of turkey, in another corner there was a scoop of dressing and along the bottom was another scoop of dressing with 1/4 piece of scrawny turkey on top. There was maybe a teaspoon of gravy over. I had ordered side of Cole Slaw and the container had a couple spoons of cole slaw and the rest was juice. Our Rolls were fine, warm but of course no butter . We had ordered 2 pieces of pumpkin pie and there was one.
I don't know what has happened to the Bob Evans we went to for years but the one on Colerain Ave. has gone to Hell in a handbasket. We may try one other on North Bend but I have read nasty about them too. I am so disappointed. I loved going there for a good homecooked meal.

My wife and I recently went to your restuarant in florence ky. I was amazed at how bad the service was. We were told the wait would be 15 and we waited over an hour. The worst part was there was hardly anyone eating in the restaurant. Most of the employees were in the parking lot smoking and laughing while everyone waited. I'm not sure what happened but this is by far the worst restaurant in the florence ky area now. I've also sent a letter the mayor of the city to look into possible drug use in the building. My hope is something is done soon. It used to be a great family restaurant that is now a hole in the wall.

Bob Evans whole order

Ordered the Smokehouse burger well done, a little pink when I got it and the bacon was barely cooked. Ordered loaded fries and there was nothing on them. Ordered Mac n cheese and it was dry. The whole order was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes but I had to wait another 10 minutes at the restaurant when it wasn't busy. Everything was cold and had been sitting there for at least the 10 minutes I stood there. It's cold outside and the food doesn't sit under a lamp but about 15' from the door. Order #890115. I will not go to this restaurant again even though they share a parking lot with the hotel I frequently stay at.

Bob Evans carry out pricing

I went to Bob Evans to make a carry order and I pick up a menu to order and the cashier inform me I had the wrong menu thats the dine - in here the carry out one, I asked: whats the different she inform me that the carry order menu food are higher price. so because I want food to go I pay more so I told her to forget I will not go back there and I'm let other people know about this I should have to pay more just because I'm not dining in. I go to Frisch's where i'm not charge more. very disapointing

Bob Evans unhealthy cooked food

After waiting 30 minutes for seating for four adults. We ordered and was brought out hash browns that were extremely cold. My son order belgian waffles that were extremely hard. My daughter ordered eggs and potatoes that were also extremely old the eggs as well as the potatoes. The store manager was called over and she didn't seem to be surprised. Almost as if wasn't anything new. I really don't know how they are still open with service like that. I will NEVER visit or use Bob Evans for any of my events that would be embarassing.

Bob Evans food

We was at the marysville, ohio bob evans on saturday at 7:30 p.m. October 19, 2019, we had a great waiter but our complaint is our food. We received all of our food but our grandsons cheeseburer came 20 minutes later. We complained to the man who said he was the manager, but he was wearing an apron. All he said was they were having trouble in the kitchen, we could here the employees hollaring at each other there were many customers that were having the same problem. We go to bob evans all the time and have never had this poor service. We will never got to bob evans in mayrsville, ohio and will tell our friends. Our bill was $28.56.

Bob Evans host or hostess

The experience we had today on a Sunday was just awful. There were at least 10-15 tables open and no one sitting hut on a 20-40 min wait. When asked why no one sitting we were told because of staffing. The hostess was so slow and no care in the world. Would disappear for long periods of time. When we finally got seated the server said I'm sorry I didn't know you were here. She had one other table. That's it. The servers finally caught on and started seating people. You would think this would be one of the busiest stores based on its location. Our server was great and we received our food very timely but first impressions are everything.

Bob Evans the waitress named amanda was very rude.

Was at the marion Ohio Bob Evans between 730 and 8 o'clock me and 3 other people the waitress was rude. When I try to ask her something she walked away from me had to keep asking for drinks. Food was not prepare bright and some stuff was missing. So when I asked her if she would go get a manager she walked back into the kitchen and started cussing We could here her from our table we was just trying to get our food properly and the manager stated that she was new and that's understandable but you don't treat Guest like that and when I told her that my food was not done right I got a hamSandwich on white bread and it came out over cook and it was on rye bread when I told her I did not want it she proceeded to pick up my plate off the table so fast some of the food thou on the floor and I said wait a minute she turned around and looked at me and said will you said you didn't want it really rude. Manager seemed to not do anything did not make me pay for it but was not really not concerned about her behavior. Other than he would talk to her I believe she needs more train and if she cannot deal with the public than maybe this job is not for her I don't feel like I was welcome there and neither did the company that I was with. We have spent $60 tonight there to get treated like we was not even want it. I don't know if it's because she's new are because we came in right before closing but I would not refer her as a waitress to nobody and neither have I have ever been treated that way when I've been into that Bob Evans and we are a regular customer there. Don't have plans on going back expression if she works there sad to say we were just have to find somewhere else to go.

Bob Evans my carryout order

I called in and placed a carry out order today, 10-11-19 around 11:20. I was told it would be ready in 40 minutes because they were busy. I waited the alotted time and left my work at 12:00 to get my order. When I got there I waited in line 10 minutes and when I finally got to the register they did not have my order. I spent my whole lunch break waiting on an order that was promised at the time I arrived. I understand waiting a little bit but after they had the order the 40 minutes they had me wait still did not have it ready. I was not offered an apology but instead had to keep waiting. I only ordered 3 fried eggs and an order of bacon, not a hard order. My bacon was burnt when I received it but I took it so I would not be late from lunch. Bob Evans sausage gravy and biscuits; not sure it is your problem or who you get to transport.

I have received several damaged gravy containers in your sausage gravy and biscuits. the package was open with gravy all over. We love your product, but it is too expensive to keep buying without some kind of reimbursement. Please look into this and help me so I can keep purchasing your product with confidence. Bob Evans food

I know it may be trivial to some, but anyone with an autistic child understands that these children don't handle changes well and they like consistency. My son LOVES Bob Evan's and orders the exact meal everytime. I took him to Bob Evan's in Englewood, Ohio on Friday. We normally eat at the Greenville Ohio location and he orders the little farmers breakfast. This time, he decided on the "little piggy". His excitement turned to tears when his order came out and looked atrocious. Nothing like the pictures on the menu. He slid the plate away and was really upset over how sad his pig looked. No nose or anything. Like I said, it may seem trivial but i was really happy for him because he actually stayed from his comfort zone and ordered something new. I do have pictures of the monstrosity.

Bob Evans soups-and-salad/cheddar-baked-potato-soup

The soup is advertised as topped with bacon and green onions.
I bought two quarts to go - there wasn't any sign or taste of bacon or green onion.
Should I open the soup cartoons to check and see if all the items are included.
Another problem with the cheddar baked potato soup was it was almost as thick as mac and cheese. Not an enjoyable thickness for soup - like eating cheese sauce.
Won't be buying any more cheddar baked potato soup. If I go back to Bob Evans.

Bob Evans the way the manager spoke to me after receiving the wrong order

On 10/6/19 at store #21 I placed a carry out order when I got home I was short loaded hash browns I called they said to come back and get them, I picked them up came back home to find out they had given me a raw scoop of diced potatoes, I call and ask to speak to a manager a girl got on the phone and starting yelling in a very loud voice at me saying I placed the order wrong, I ask for her name she said "I don't have a name today" then hung up . I'm 55 years old have been going to bob evans every Sunday for over 20 years, unless something is done about this I will never return as well as pursue issue

Bob Evans the turkey dinner

Myself and my husband took our grandsons to dinner Friday evening about 6:00 pm to Bob Evans Springboro Ohio location. First of all we waited on dinner for over a half hour and the kids were getting very distressed. Then the dinners came and the carrots were so hard the kids couldn't eat them and the broccoli was also crunchy. And the dressing for the turkey was very dry and tasteless So we sent the carrots back and they brought corn instead which looked like it was fried and very dry. So we were totally dissatisfied with this experience at bob Evans. Bob Evans used to be my favorite place to get a good home cooked dinner but not anymore. My husband spent $37.00 plus tip and we are not at all happy. I think you should look into some of the cooks at your restaurants. I have also experienced some bad orders from the Woodman dr bob Evans which I frequent almost weekly. So I'm afraid to even chance it again. I hope you can do something to resolve this issue. Bob Evans customer service

You walk in get seated and wait 10 minutes and never get waited on then another couple comes in sits in the booth beside you and immediately gets waited on this isnt the first issue we have had with this location of you order a side salad you have to waite forever on it then when they bring it your food comes right out you have to literally ask them for a refill one time I had to go to the counter to get silverware cause they didnt give us any i think you all need to be checking up on that location because there management and waiters aren't doing there job thank you

Bob Evans not opening on time.

This is the 3rd time in a month that Bob Evans hasn't opened on time and this is the 2 time in 2 days. It's now 6 am and the lights are off and I see employees waiting outside. It's totally dark inside the restaurant.

So my complaint is to short, this makes no sense. Someone showed up at 6:06 but of course it will be sometime before they are ready for customers.

Bob Evans manager kip

I will start with I almost always come in on Friday mornings. Julie is my normal server. She is fantastic. I have never had a issue here. Everyone is so polite and helpful.
Sadly that was not the case Monday morning. I stopped in for breakfast, I didn't see Julie so I sat with Cassie. She was excellent. I had steak, eggs and hash browns. My hash browns was burnt. I mentioned this to Cassie. She said she would have them remade and would let the manager know. I seen her talking to a guy manager not one I've seen before. I knew they was discussing my order because she was holding my plate and I could hear him. He said: there is nothing wrong with that order. If he isn't happy he can leave. We don't need his kind here. Surprised by his remark and not for sure what he meant by that. I'm a paying customer. You need paying customers to stay in business. I then witnessed Cassie walk on the cook line put on a pair of gloves and cooked my hash browns herself. When she brought them out they looked great not burnt. Maybe she should be a cook. When she came back with the check she said, I tried to get him to adjust this but he wont. I'm sorry. I finished up and went to pay. The same guy manager was cashing out. So I tried to use this time to talk to him. He said: if you eat it you pay for it. I wasn't asking for free food by no means. I would've appreciated a small discount for the extra time I had to wait for things to be recooked. I asked for his name he said today I'm Santa. I didn't have the time to argue with that [censored] but I did notice the more he talked I smelled beer on his breath. It was a fresh smell like he was drinking on the job. Frustrated beyond belief I just paid for my order and left. Later on I called the store I asked for the name of the manager that was on duty and was told it was Kip. It's sad to see Bob Evan's has lowered their standards of managers and will hire trash like Kip. Someone made a huge mistake hiring that garbage. With him in this restaurant it will surely start to go downhill.

Bob Evans manager actions with employees

When arriving we asked for a table. The manager Ben Cadmen then told the seating person to take us to a booth. We were able to get the waitress to give us a table.
We noticed that NONE of the waitress' on duty were not smiling at all and also were not chatting with each other(like normal). We were soon to notice why.
The manager stood by the order screen near the kitchen window berating the cooking staff loudly and generally handed out verbal instructions on a continuing basis to the waiting staff. It was like no one knew what they were doing except him! This action continued throughout the complete time we were having our dinner. "the corn" "the stuffing" etc etc. do this do that! I am sure that it was very embarrassing for ALL the waitress/cooking staff there. The food was good and timely delivered, though not as hot as we would have liked. The waitress and her trainee were very efficient and mindful to our wants and needs. The ONLY negative thing was the TOTAL UNPROFESSIONAL IGNORANT SELF CENTERED actions of Ben Cadmen. If I was his superior, he would be GONE immediately. Maybe the staff could smile, try to enjoy a tough work environment with some comraderie, and represent Bob Evans as we have seen on our other visits. I surely hope we do not see this manager again. If we do, we will not be seated. I have personal leadership experience but this guy seems to not have a clue about how to treat subordinates.
