I traded my car for 1 of theirs and like the previous complainant was dealt with by Ross The first lie he will tell you is "I am a man of my word" I took their vehicle for an independent appraisal after purchase and was horrified by the list of faults. I contacted Ross who said he would sort it out (another lie). The list was so sever I wanted to return the...

Blackrock Motors rapair

I had bought car from their garage recently with 3 months warranty engine and gearbox witch in the real terms cover nothing by the way they treated me over the phone. On the very next day I found that handbrake calliper not working same as parking sensors and also found massive oil leak from engine, Guy who sold me car he done it between his farm house and garage in Watford, proper muppet by all means, Will deal with him over this scam through trading standards under sale of goods 1979 act. Be aware of this garage which have tatty cars in stock, save Your time and money.

I also can't comment on your experience. I am based in Botswana, and found some time on my hands. I decided to fill it by looking at the thames valley autotrader from september 2007. In full view was a car for sale and £495 ono. I couldn't believe how cheeply it was. I rang di number on di estatue, and Rossie picked up and was nice. E stautue, I kept saying. What a nice guy. And patient and honest. However, de car, it had gone, so that is that.
Im now thinking of getting a suzuka hyabusa instead

I think some spelling & punctuation lessons would be in order...that is if you are over 12 years of age. Get a life you goon...

I can't comment on your experience. However I bought a car from him last September (2013) it was a 2005 Skoda Octavia Superb Elegance 1.9 TDI. I am based in Sicily and I had to buy this vehicle through his website & so I had to rely completely on Ross' photos & a 3rd party assessment. I found Ross very approachable & agreeable - nothing was a problem. He did everything he said he would. Not knowing him I had to trust sending money to him & that he'd put the vehicle onto a cargo ship here. The car duly arrived in Sicily with all the proper documentation spare keys etc. and I am rapt with the car. I'll be calling Ross up the next time I have to export a car. Top bloke to deal with.

Blackrock Motors Dodgy dealer

I p/x my car for one of theirs. I was told it would come with x6mts warranty. I was given no paperwork and the dealer sold me the car from his 'house' after showing me the vehicle at an alternative dealership in watford. He is trading currently under the name 'Blackrock motors'. The dealer is called Ross. OInly after we had signed all the paperwork and handed over the money etc, de he tell me there was no paperwork for the warranty. Low and behold, Ive several problems with the car. Electric window keeps jamming, rattle in the dashboard, clutch making noises. He basically told me where to go as I don't have any paperwork to support that he sold me the car with warranty. Also, in discussion with him during the transaction, he told us he was being taken to court by the council for dealing frm 'home'. etc. I am warning anyone else of this dealer to beware! I will be contacting Trading standards and his local council. I may even take him to court under sale and supply of goods act.

Hey scooby doo. I think that it is now time for your medication. The fireman has now found out that you are a waste of time which is why he has moved on to pastures new. I feel so sorry for you.

This website is full of false reviews and it is suggested to the general public that it is taken with the proverbial pinch of salt. It’s very sad that nowadays people are allowed to publish such garbage.

I have delt with Rosh a number of times.
He is very good at removals, and house removals is his side line. As well as garden ponds, and artificial turfing.
In fact, once, he helped put some shelves up at my nan's, so she could keep her Mrs Mills rare groove LPs out of harms way. I understand he's CORGI registered, but prefers German dogs.
Overall I'd like to give him 3.7 out of five for presentation, 3.8 for customer service, a straight 4.0 for honesty, and 5 out of 5 for something else. Any way, he's a really good guy.

there is a way that you can deal with a complaint and that is to approach Ross with the right attitude !.
i done a deal with him at Blackrock Motors, i part exchanged my car for a Chrysler, then a few days later had it serviced and noticed the rear tyres were not too good, so i phoned him and we both agreed on a sum that would cover new tyres, 2 days later i had a check through the door, then a few weeks later the car was not starting or sometimes having to crank it too many times, i called the AA and they said its a fuel problem, so i again phoned Ross and explained the problem to him, as the car is still under warranty he is reliable to fix it, but his fitter was on holiday and cant get it done for over a week, i said i cant be without a car for that long, so he suggested that i get the fitter near me who done the service to take a look at it, and then to let him know how much it will cost, with that i phoned Ross back told him the problem and how much it will be. Ross just said to let my fitter fix the car and he will send me another check, 2 days later i receive the payment.
The car is now running fine, so thanks Ross you are very true to your word and a great man to deal with, So you see if you approach this man Ross with the right attitude he will do the best he can to get you going again. Scoobydoo ! talk to the man instead of killing his reputation !

Agreed. I bought a Ford Fiesta for my daughter from Ross 5 years ago and we’ve never had any problems with the car. Arthur McCann will verify this because he is currently writing a book about the life and times of Blackrock Motors. A great read. I recommend that everyone buys a copy.

You don't need a written warranty agreement, all cars sold by a dealer are covered by the sale of goods act 1979, this means... if you have bought the car from a dealer, the car must be of satisfactory quality. Satisfactory quality is defined as what a ‘reasonable person’ would regard as acceptable, taking into account factors such as price paid, fitness for purpose specified, appearance and finish, safety and durability. If it becomes apparent that the car was not of the quality you were led to expect, you are quite within your rights to go back to the dealer, even after some weeks or even months of use.

These are your statutory consumer rights. If any of them are breached you are within your rights to go back to the seller, who will then be legally required to remedy the situation in a number of different ways, depending on your situation and the nature of the complaint. The law requires you to act reasonably too, so if the problem is minor and can be repaired easily, within reasonable time, at no additional cost to you and without causing any significant inconvenience, then the dealer can insist on a repair as a first option. But remember that this will not stop you from taking it back if the repair is unsatisfactory or there is something else wrong with the car.

If the car cannot be repaired, if the repair is unsatisfactory, or takes an unreasonable length of time, your next option would be to have it replaced. If this is undesirable or impossible, then you can request a refund, although if some time has passed, you should be aware that any the refund given may well take account of any use you have had of the car since you took possession of it. In situations where you would like to keep the car and undertake to carry out the repairs yourself, you have another option, which is to request a discount on the price paid.

I have just bought a car from this man after long discussions over the phone about what we needed, he moved his day around to suit us so that we could view the car and also held it for us as he knew we were travelling some distance with a tiny baby. The car was exactly as he described so we bought it and he gave us warranty. He was pleasant to deal with we are happy with our purchase. If anything goes wrong with the car I am confident that I can give him a call and we can get it sorted out. At the end of the day we bought a used car so nothing is ever guaranteed 100% perfect! I think its a shame that you have tried to damage someones reputation over a window which I am sure if you had spoken to him about it he would have tried his best to sort it out for you. If you wanted a 3year full manufacturers warranty you should have bought a new car from a dealer. I would use him again for my next car purchase.

I have known this guy for years, he does what he says and honors his word. I think you should less critical over a rattle or stiff window etc. Call him and he will extremely reasonable with you if you are with him. These comments are very judgmental and prosecute people that no stage to defend themselves.

I have dealt and know this guy for years, he does what he says and honours his word. Shame over a rattle you attempt to harm someones income, especially in today climate - ring him he'll be very reasonable if you are!
