BioLife Plasma Services poor service on referral

I recently decided to start donating plasma because the promotions looked so good. Well after my second donation and onto my third, I was told when trying to sign into my questioner that I needed to see an employee. So turned out I had to see a nurse. When walking into the nurses room, she said, "So you are here for a protein redraw?" I responded, "I never had one done in the first place." She looked it up on the computer and confused said, "Hmm, you are right. Well we have to give you one and you can not donate until we receive the results." When I asked how long that would take I was told "At least a week." Well that conveniently made it so I would not qualify for the promotions anymore and when I told her that she said, "Well there is always next month." Well next month doesn't have the new donor promotion. So in total they were screwing me out of $200. I told her I am done then because this is a bunch of bullcrap. I was never told I needed a protein draw, and let alone never had one to need a redraw, and then was screwed out of the 2 promotions. I walked out the door and will never return unless they were to make this right.

BioLife Plasma Services pay for plasma

I returned for my second visit in one week. Was there Saturday. This location for some reason is closed Monday so I returned Tuesday. Was paid only $20 each time! Suddenly after two years of going through this they changed the rules to the pay?! 5 hours including driving silent and having a needle pushed all the way through my vein for $40 is probably illegal and definitely wrong. I want my money you agreed to!

BioLife Plasma Services referral amount code was not properly enter so I did not receive the right amount

I had a referral which they submitted when doing the physical and initial donation. My name was put in as the referral person. When the second donation was finished I received $50 instead of the $150 which is what I got via email and gave to the person which I referred. So instead of getting the $150 I only received $50 therefore I was cheated out of $100 dollars.

BioLife Plasma Services Management/supervisor

On second donation, I was told that I needed a doctor's note since I brought up the fact during the first donation that I had a fractured hand. It had been several weeks and I didn't see what would prevent me from donating plasma. Even my primary care physician agreed. Yet he provided me a note. I brought in the letter Tues, the staff mentioned that I would have to wait till Fri to be cleared by the Medical person. I called Sat and the staff informed me that the person has yet to arrive at the location and to review the letter. I am very disappointed how this establishment is poorly handling the situation and having to wait. can't this be faxed and reviewed by someone else?

Disappointed? That sounds like the VIP treatment. Why do you actually donate. Chances are it’s going to take forever and then don’t expect to be fairly compensated. Oh, just a heads up. They probably activated your promo when you had your physical so you’re already well into your 30 days to make decent money. You can bring it to their attention that you were told that and I’ll tell you that’s not how it works it’ll be fine and then one day that promo will be gone from your app and they’ll tell you without the promo there’s nothing they can do. If there are any other plasma donation centers within an additional half hour drive, go to them. Unless you are OK spending three hours on about 50% of your visits and plenty more of the same miss directed diligence that you are experiencing. But they don’t sweat the important details at all. While you’re standing in line for an extended period of time play a little game with yourself and see how many times you see different employees go from one donor to the next without changing gloves.

BioLife Plasma Services biolife associates

I went in to donate along with my wife. Unfortunately I was unable to donate because there was something wrong so I was disconnected and went to wait on my wife. There was another person behind me waiting on someone I imagine. I'd been waiting and from time to time I'd look for my wife. One of the Plasma associates came up to me and ONLY me and asked what I was waiting on. I then aid I was waiting for my wife and was told, "just making sure, " and the BioLife Plasma associate didn't stop to ask the person behind me what they were doing. I found that very offensive and prejudice.

BioLife Plasma Services poor customer service/failure to recognize coupon

I have been going to Biolife in Greenville for a little over a month now. At first I really enjoyed the experience . For the most part everyone was nice. I went in yesterday for my fourth donation which I assumed would be the donation in which I received 70$, However I was wrong I was just over the thirty day time frame for that which I wasn't ever made aware that I had to go within thirty days or else I would have. When they were taking my blood pressure I showed the coupon that was sent to me stating that if I donated today I would get an extra 15$ which was the main reason I even went. I thought I was getting 70 +15. Boy was I wrong. The girl glanced at my coupon and told me she put it in though I never saw her type it in or even ask me for the code. So before the tech put the needle in my arm I asked her " So I will be getting 85 today right?" She told me yes. Once I was done donating I checked my account from the mobile app it said my balance was $20. I was shocked there is no way on earth I would waste an hour of my time for a lousy 20$. Sorry not sorry but at this point I was aggravated bc I had made it a point to show my coupon to every person I saw. I asked someone else why my coupon hadn't been added she was reluctant to even answer my question . she tried to brush me off saying I had to show the coupon before I got started and I did. that is exactly what I did. I was being blamed when I had done everything I was supposed to do. She told me the coupon was put in and it should be on there in a few hours. So this morning I Proceeded to check my account again and still it showed I only have a balance of $20. I called the facility and talked to another employee who told me the coupon wasn't ever put in and I should use it next time. I explained It should be put on there this time because I showed it to the employee I did my part. she asked me for the code and said management would give me a call. I can assure you it probably wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to fix this problem with just a little bit of effort and courtesy from at least ONE of your employees and here it is 9 and 1/2 hours later I haven't received a call back from anyone and I cant even get anyone to pick up the phone. I am so disappointed with this company. and I thought someone else should know

BioLife Plasma Services coupon denial/ false information

I received a coupon for an exclusive buddy bonus stating that if I brought in a new donor that I would receive $150 and the new donor would receive $300 in the first five donations. Upon showing up for the appointment for the first time donor the clerk at the front refused my coupon, told me there was no such coupon even though she didn't look at it and tried to force a $50 buddy bonus on the donor that I brought in. Long story short she brought up a manager and the manager said yes they had to honor the coupon, then when they were filing in the new donor there was a discrepancy on his Social Security card where his name was spelled incorrectly. We were told at that time to go to the Social Security office and have them change the name and that they would give us a paper that He could bring back and he could go ahead and donate. So I scheduled an appointment for Social Security for two days later set there a hour and a half at Social Security obtained the document that they wanted, went back and waited another hour and a half for the appointment time and upon beginning the appointment they refuse the document telling me that the Social Security number was not printed on the document. They then stated to me that the manager didn't know what he was talking about when he told me that that paper was all I needed. The Social Security office took the Original Social Security card and gave the document and it states clearly in the Social Security office that they no longer print Social Security numbers on documents. So by the time the new Social Security card will Arrive in the mail my $150 coupon will be expired and I am out $20 in fuel and about four hours of my time, a whole lot of stress and aggravation AND NOW the new donor that I had to bring in wants nothing to do with the service and does not want to return and does not want to donate because it's been nothing but a headache from the first moment he stepped in there. I have been donating with Biolife for over a year however after this experience and the way I was treated I will not be returning! I will seek another plasma center to do my donations. My name is Amanda Lewis please contact me ASAP [protected]

BioLife Plasma Services employees lie and are poorly trained

An employee made up an entire story about me and got me banned. She still has her job even though she was lying I was called a liar. Very frustrating when I provided photo evidence of the truth that I was still banned. This employee will have nothing happen to her for lying and she will continue to work there to lie about future donors. There's nothing I can do and I donated to help people not so much get paid. I will have everyone I know avoid this place.

BioLife Plasma Services management and staff.

An employee and i was talking about body peircings a and another employ overheard. Tried to say i made her feel uncomfortable about it. He so called kid - manager pulled me in office and got rude with me and being my regular job . I pointed out that i wasn't doing it for the money and honestly i didn't need to depend on the extra cash. He got mad and banned me for a month. I do find this harassing and discrimination displeasing . I deal with alot of delivery in my job and will recommend my customers to another place. I've been doing this for over 2 years and now the drama ?

BioLife Plasma Services injured by a an employee (brianna)

I came twice weekly for months. I had a new employee that day and she did not successfully put the line in. Brianna very aggressively pulled it out and shoved it in where I felt a pop and extreme pain. I couldn't continue the donation that day and was paid $20 but told I could not return unless I went to urgent care on my dollar to find out what she did. I couldn't afford to go cause it's a big co pay, a lot more than my $20 I got. My arm felt fine after a month but I am not allowed back due to their mistake! I was using the money I earned to get out of debt not go into medical debt.

BioLife Plasma Services center employees and nurse

I was at the Onalaska center today giving my secondcplasma donation. First donation went fine. The needle insert was quite painful this time. I informed the woman who did it (I was in the pink area). She looked at me annoyed and did nothing. I could tell by looking at it that the needle was in quite far. Then my arm started to bulge. No concern from this idiot until the machine signaled a warning. LSS she punched right threw my vein! We had to go with the other arm. For that one she it a nerve! The nurse came over as I asked for the needle to be removed and she says "do you think that is what is bothering you? Do you think it's a nerve" I reminder her that I was not the medical person and she should maybe know the answer, regardless if she didnt remove the darn needle I would! Amazing fact...the pain and tingling went away when they took it out! This was a ridiculous experience with multiple inept people which has caused me a lot of pain and I will NOT be back.

BioLife Plasma Services rude staff

I use to think the staff was amazing here. However recently my favorite phlebotomists are no longer employed here. I am kinda picky on who I let stick me because i've had quite a few bad experiences.
I've never had a issue with requesting before. However tonight when I requested one who has stuck me multiple times and has never missed or given me a hematoma I got scolded.
Sarah asked me if anyone else could stick me because who I requested was busy, I started to scan the room and she says "if you only allow 2-3 people to stick you maybe we need to re-evaluate you as a donor" i'm sorry that I am picky after having multiple people miss my veins and having hematomas due to it. Way to make a donor feel good.

BioLife Plasma Services lack of professionalism

At the Loveland, CO location every single time I've come (about 8 now) the phlebotomists are running around playing with each other, talking about their personal lives, cursing, gossiping, ignoring donors, one even left blood on a chair.
I was wondering why the lady next to me was just standing there (for at least 3 or 4 minutes) until she was acknowledged and it was because she didn't want to lay on a bloody seat.
There have been 3 or 4 times that it has taken 10 minutes or more for someone to unhook me after I was done.
One night I was here for an hour and a half before someone finally noticed my speed had been turned back down and never turned back up.
I've been splashed in the eye with whatever it is they use to clean the seats. I had a lady wiggle the needle until I literally cried out trying to correct someone else's bad poke.
Still, after all that, the worst part by far is having to listen to them yelling across the room at each other all the time. It is the worst when the girl with very short boy cut hair and glasses is here. She's extra loud, runs around pranking and smacking the others and seems to be the ringleader. They all praise her and say "she's the best." I get having fun at work but the level of disruption and unprofessionalism seems to be getting worse and worse with no end in sight. I'm not an anxious person but find myself feeling anxiety here often just wanting to get out of here and back to piece and quiet.
I don't know if management exists around here but highly doubt it as they all seem to be this way. Except for the miserable ones that seem to hate their jobs. But in the midst of all of the unprofessionalism and immaturity I'll take them any day. At least they know how to talk with inside voices.

BioLife Plasma Services you don't honor your appointments!!

On 6/17/19 I had my new donor appointment at 4:30 appointment at the Hyattsville MD office and got there by 4:20, but wasn't seen until 5:38!

Then they said because I last ate at 1:30 and more than 4-1/2 hours had passed, I couldn't donate! But, if they'd seen me anywhere near on time, I wouldn't have been past 4-1/2 hours!

I complained to the Manager, who was pleasant, but I left there at 6pm having totally wasted more than 1-1/2 hours of time. And to top it all off, I also charged an hour or sick leave to make sure I was at the first appointment on time, so I'm out money too.

I've donated blood and platelets at the Red Cross 70+ times, BUT BIOLIFE HAS LOST ME AS A DONOR! I'm healthy, I keep my appointments and would have been a regular donor, but BioLife was a severe disappointment and waste of time.

I'd thought of three other folks that might be interested in donating that I planned to talk to if my appointment went well. But I won't be suggesting Biolife to them, SO YOU LOST THEM TOO! And if anyone ever mentions Biolife to me, I will be sure and let them know of my bad experience.

BioLife Plasma Services horrific customer service, you just can't believe

Horrific... can only describe my visit. From being told by an employee that "Your attitude is awful" and "it could be the way you don't drink enough water". This from an employee I'VE NEVER SAID MORE THEN 2 WORDS TO. I was HUMILIATED beyond words. I left there IN TEARS. You should see BOTH my arms and the bruises. I have the photos!
HORRIFIC, UNBELIEVABLE that someone is allowed to treat/talk to another human that way

BioLife Plasma Services screening employee

I went to Biolife to donate this morning. The intake screener, who didn't have a name tag on but I believe is a manager, is always in a hurry. I've seen her there most days I've donated for the last 6 months or so, barking orders and always doing things very quickly. Today, she had to stick me twice because she did not fill the vial to complete the blood screen. Then she hurried through entering my numbers and said "you cannot donate today because while you were in range, your numbers were not entered correctly." Not "I entered them incorrectly." Evidently, once the numbers are entered, they cannot be changed, so because an employee is in too big of a hurry, the screening was completed incorrectly which caused me to be deferred for the day (and for the week since I'm not able to come back until next week). Very unprofessional in my opinion.

BioLife Plasma Services protein test wait time and horrible customer service

Donated last/gave sample April 30th
Tried to donate May 4th, but sample had returned with low protien so I was deferred
Gave new sample May 7th (the soonest they said I could)
Was told to allow 7-10 days
Called today and my levels were normal but I couldnt donate until May 21st at the earliest because a doctor has to sign off on it
14 days after 2nd sample I can donate
3 days after 1st sample I could not donate
I was upset. I asked what hours the doctor would be working on the 21st and she said she doesnt know. She then said she was too busy for this and had another call and hung up on me without even saying goodbye

BioLife Plasma Services employee carissa at location on west side of green bay, wi

On more than one occasion I have witnessed an employee disrespect coworkers in front of many donors on multiple occasions. The employee is a blonde female name tag reads Carissa. A coworker came up to Carissa in front of me and calmly asked her if she had done something in a different section, she very rudely yelled at the coworker in front of a new trainee. I have witnessed this particular employee verbally disrespect her coworkers in front of numerous donors and new employees on multiple occasions. While I am typing this complaint she has begun to loudly argue with a different coworker trying to calmly and professionally rectify the situation. She largely contributes to a very unprofessional and immature representative of your company.

BioLife Plasma Services staff/supervisor

05/14/2019

Hi. My name is Michael and I've been donating at Biolife in Joplin for about 2 months now. Today I went in and did the questionnaire, finger stick, temp check, etc. I got back to where I donate and sat down. A younger woman came over, stuck my left arm, and had obvious troubles with it (Mind you, my last donation, when they tried the left arm, it didn't work and they had to switch arms and they even called me Sunday (05/12/2019) to see if I was coming back in, after the complications with my previous donation). I asked the younger woman (Whos name I believe was Makenzie) to just unstick my left arm and go to my right arm like they did my last donation. She stated that she couldn't do that, that she needed to get a supervisor for that. I can understand and respect that. She goes and gets a female with dark hair that was wearing a nametag with "Angela" on it. Angela comes over, I told her that this happened last time and I don't know why they didn't just stick my right arm, to begin with. Angela tells me that I should have taken that initiative. She then says, let's see if we can save the stick, at least. Angela begins moving the needle around in my arm, and it hurts. Under my breath, as I stiffen all over from the pain, I mumbled "Jesus Christ". Angela gets indignant and say's "Watch your language or I'll defer you." I said, "It hurts, and what language?" She then replied, "Don't take the Lord's name in vain." I'm not a Christian. I don't believe in that stuff. I understand she might, but it's inappropriate to, in the middle of a donation, start forcing religious beliefs down a *DONATORS* throat. I told her not to force her religious beliefs onto me and she retorted that she wasn't. Her statement "Don't take the Lord's name in vain." contradicts that. She then got lippy with me and I then had to tell her 4 times to unstick me, I'm leaving. FOUR TIMES. Angela violated: RSMo 565.090. Harassment, first degree, penalty. — 1. A person commits the offense of harassment in the first degree if he or she, without good cause, engages in any act with the purpose to cause emotional distress to another person, and such act does cause such person to suffer emotional distress.
I felt as if I couldn't leave, and I also felt that Angela, in retaliation of me saying "Jesus Christ" was going to hurt me more while hiding behind the term "Saving the stick".
She also violated my First Amendment right, given that BioLife is not a religious organization, thus, I don't have to abide by abnormal language rules (Like saying, Jesus Christ).

I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble, or fired, but I will say that should anything like this happen again, I will sue BioLife Plasma Services and the employee that violates my rights.
