BioLife Plasma Services - Banned for life

I would like to share my experience with my Biolife center here in Bellingham, Wa. I have been a pretty regular donor for over 10 years with well over 600 plus donations.  In the last month I was deferred for a donation one day because it was brought to my attention that a letter of approval was needed from my Dr because of my age. I will be 66 in May. I was told the same thing about a year ago and all was handled and done so I was good to go. I was told that my account would be flagged so that a letter would automatically be sent to my Dr every year when it came due. Well that for some reason that didn't happen this year so that is why I was deferred and was told I couldn't donate until the letter was received. So after about a week of dealing with that the letter was finally received by Biolife and was told the nurse had to sign off and I would be good to donate again. So I went in for donation and then I was deferred yet again because they said it now had to be approved by the quality department. This was supposed to take a day or two and ended up being a week and never heard from anyone. So I Went into the center and had to sit with a nurse for at least 45 minutes while she grilled me over medications that were listed on my account with my Dr. I explained the situation and told here the meds listed were prescribed as take as needed and I hadn't taken any of these meds in the last 9 months or longer and even when I did take one of them it was for a few days and I wasn't donating at the time so when I did start donating again I didn't feel the need for reporting it on the questionnaire. I told the nurse one of the meds was an anti-inflammatory med prescribed for what was believed to be a form of Colitis but that I had a colonoscopy and I was cleared of any type of Colitis so the drugs were not needed. Then the nurse called in the manager and they were asking me more about the colonoscopy I had 9 or 10 months previously. Apparently I didn't report that procedure on the questionnaire so now they accused me of lying and deferred me for life. It obviously didn't affect me or my donations in any way for the 9 months following that procedure so I feel the deferral is a bit harsh. I like so many others have always done the questionnaire without really paying 100% attention because of the repetition and somehow overlooked the question regarding the colonoscopy that they are claiming I blatantly lied about so I am now banned for life. Is it a possibility to be reinstated for donating in the future ? My name is Marlon R Johnson. Date of birth is 5/1/56 and the last 4 of my social is 6781. My ph # is [protected] and my email is [protected]@gmail.com thank you for your consideration on this matter

Desired outcome: reinstatement

I was banned from donating because one of the nurses was not listening clearly to what I was saying. I had been asked if I had any mental illnesses I said I had been told I could have PTSD I didn't say I was diagnosed or that even a doctor had told me that. They proceeded to tell me I would need a clearance note by my doctor that diagnosed me( I didn't have one) I told them I didn't have one and she said it says you chose yes as an option on your questionaire I said yes I wasn't sure how to answer because I've never been diagnosed with anything but i do have fears and anxiety about things etc. they then told me that because i answred that way i couldn't donate until i had my dr clear me. I said again I don't have a doctor or a diagnosis though they said why did you answer yes then I said again cuz i wasn't sure how to answer because I have been told by people in the field just not my own Dr I showed signs I then said should i have lied? And she said I'm going to put in a referral for now until we get the letter. I came back over a year later to donate again just to find out she put in my file that I said i was going to lie on my questionaire and I had been permanently deferred. I don't understand how this is possible and what I can do to fix it. I'd like to be able to donate again but I don't like the unprofessional way I was treated.

BioLife Plasma Services - I was deferred for life due to having a work tool on my belt

I've been donating at the Bellingham wa facility for the last 4 yrs. I carry a knife on my belt in a sheath for work purposes, I forget that it's on my person, it's like leaving the house without my wallet. I was warned twice not to have it in the facility. The third time I entered the facility I realized so I left it outside off property under a big Boulder due to me not having a vehicle. They let me donate that day. I was unable to schedule my next two appointments, that's when I was deferred for life. I've meet a lot of employees and have had no complaints, I'm always polite and so is the staff. I really would love another chance to start donating again, donating was a part of my schedule and now it's not same. I can promise that I will never have my tool on my person again on the property. It would mean the world to me if I could start donating again.
Thank you for your time
My cell # [protected]
Sincerely: Trevor Wall

Desired outcome: If I can start donating again

BioLife Plasma Services - not being able to donate

My brother has been donating for extra cash... So, I thought i'd give it a try... So, I scheduled appointment, then had to reschedule it 2 or 3 times... So, today (sept. 20, 2019 @ 1 pm) because of my work and also being nerves about it... So, today was my day, to be a big girl and donate... But, had to sit after being checked in... Waiting for 2 managers to assist me to a office... Where they said I couldn't donate and couldn't tell me why! But, sat there for 20 minutes while they played on there computer... Just to give me a piece of paper that didn't say [censored]...
I'm really pissed... I took half the day off from work... And, still have no answers...

BioLife Plasma Services - customer service/management

I was trying to donate plasma on Friday March 22nd at 7:20pm. I was instructed to complete a physical upon arrival at the kiosk and answered all questions accordingly. Only 3 answers needed to be changed. I talked to a lady in the back and she said "it's too late to do a physical and that we needed to do it another day. But everything should be ok as far as donating today." She then sent me to get my vitals done. I passed all my vitals and was ready and willing to donate. They attempted to bypass the physical since it was determined that I could return later to do it. However, they did NOT allow me to donate because the lady who performs the physicals accidentally denied my physical. Therefore, I missed out on being able to donate for the $20 on Friday and I am now unable to get my $70 donation on Sunday because the staff messed up on their end. This is unfair to say the least. I would like to get some kind of resolve for their mistake.
