Three days ago, my family went there after being told it had great Italian food. We invited my grandparents and uncles to eat there with us. When we got seated by a very friendly waitress, we ordered their anti-pasta dish for an app. When we got it, there was no basil and no olives on the plate. We asked the waitress where is the basil, to which she replied we're all out of basil. RAN OUT OF BASIL? And there was a grocery store no more than two miles up the road, where they could have got more basil.
After she left to get the olives, which were from a CAN, I reached over for the olive oil to drizzle over my bread. I poured some onto my plate to smell it before putting it on my bread. Good thing I did that. It was RANCID! The bottle was clear and the oil was only partially gone. I looked at my parents and said, we need to bail on the check now, the oil is rancid. They wanted to give this place a good attempt but it already had three large strikes against it in my book.
We remained as our family members arrived. We all ordered our dishes. When the soups and salads came out, my soup, which was a chicken noodle soup was COLD! I sent it back to be warmed up. Sadly, the soup was barely warm when I got it back. My chicken parmasan dish was not what they said it was, the chicken breast was still whole when it should have been flattened like a pancake. It too was barely warm. My mom had the meatballs or what she called a ball of meat as there was no seasoning in the balls of meat at all.
The only thing that was good was the bread, which was frozen as it was THE ONLY THING IN THE WHOLE PLACE THAT WAS SEASONED.
The next morning, we all had bouts of food poisoning. We were sick from their food. We do not recommend going to Biggy's Casual Italian Food in Osage Beach, as from what my father told us later that the owners could not speak a word of English and were Italians from New Jersey. The service was good, but the food horrible. I do not recommend going there again.

A lot of times, you can never please the pickiest eaters. I thought this place was great. FINALLY, a place in Osage Beach where the food is actually good and not overpriced. The bread is the best on the lake. It's sad that some people don't know what real Italian food tastes like; its quite unfortunate. I think this place tries to stay true to traditional Italian food and it may not please some people because they are so used to commercialized food from other chain restaurants that they do not know what "authentic" food tastes like. My family had a NY style pizza and it was great! The crust was thin and delicious. I had the homemade lasagna and it had a fresh and delicate taste. One of my brothers had a Calzone and it was bigger than his head! I met the owners and there were great! One was from the area and the other was from Iowa! I believe the cooks are from New York City. If you have an open mind and a large appetite, this is the place for you.
