Bartleby.com charged too much.

I was charged $59.85 on October 2, 2018 which was fine because I did sign up for three a three month subscription. However I was charged again on January 1, 2019 for another $59.85. I cancelled my membership already and I feel I should get refunded my last payment because I did not agree to those charges. Has anyone else been refunded for a similar situation?

You guys charged me 59.85 when you were supposed to charge me 19.95. This is ridiculous. Now my account is missing that money that I really need for something else. Bartleby.com incorrect credit card charges.

hi

i'm pavani korlam. i made my subscription on 11/10/2018. I subscribed bartleyby for one month access. in your website it shows $19.85 for the one month subscription. where as you guys charged me for $59.85 . and moreover i have unsubscribed for the bartley by on the very next day of my subscription. but you guys have charged me more money and gave access for three months. this is not fair. im a student working part time and spending my money on studies. but you guys charged me more than $19.95 this is really very bad experience from the online website which shows fault information regarding payments and charging form customers.

i need my money back. I, m requesting a refund of my remaining money which is $40.00

Bartleby.com incorrect credit card charges

I signed up for a Bartleby subscription on November 1st, 2018. I put in my credit card information and got the 3 month subscription which stated to only be $19.95 as I remeber. I then examined the website and realized it wasn't what I wanted. I then was given the option to switch my subscription to a cheaper subscription of $9.95. After further examination I decided I didn't want the subscription. I am now under the $9.95 subscription and cancel it. I was charged $59.85 by this site. I want a full refund. I am not happy with this outcome. I was only meant to pay $9.95 which I am not even willing to pay after I receive my expected refund.

I want a refund of my momey and to be charged properly if that really must be the way it happens. I should only be charged $9.95. Fix this. I will be forced to take legal charge if this is not fixed. Scamming is what this is and it is illegal. Fix it

I don't know why you take my money from my bank account seens December last year every month you take £29:95 for paypal bartleby I don't know what is that and you take £2:45 every month for paypal iTunes which means every month you got £32:40i just noticed this month that this is been going on from December 2017 now I have pay you £340:00 if you can explain to me what's a was paying and when did I signed this contract because I don't evin remember sign an contact with paypal bartleby. What happened I was buying something in ebay so I sign for £2 just for one payment but now it's going on for 10 months. PLEASE I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I don't evin know what is this paypal bartleby. Bartleby.com incorrect charges!!! I want a refund

i paid for the 1 month membership for $20 and instead i was charged for the 3 month which was $59!i want a full refund because that was not what i asked for at all. Stop scamming me and literally everyone else of their money. I have cancelled my membership and if i see that your company is still taking money from me i will take legal action because this is illegal! Stop misleading your customers who really only got a subscription in the first place was for a one time essay. This is a [censored]ty website and i will not be buying anything from this site again.

Beware of this company. They charged me 59.85 and when I discovered this, I asked them to cancel my membership and please refund my money and they refused even though it had only been a day or 2 and I certainly did not use the service. They appear to be making tons of money this way. I would highly recommend that no one sign up with them.

On one time I accessed one of the essays to assist me in writing an assignment and I was asked to pay a one off fee of something like $2. I at no time at all did any subscription conditions state that I would be charged $39.95 AU per month. I left it for 3 months and now this company have scammed $122.95 in total off me unknowingly. Deceptive and misleading conduct and I will be taking further action with ACCC in Australia and whomever I can contact regarding deceptive practices in the US. Thieves

I used bartleby months ago for help with essays for school. It was a very good service. However when school ended obviously I no longer needed this product. I went under my apple itunes subscriptions and canceled it. Then I went into bartleby and canceled as well through an email. Today I just noticed that my account is continued to be changed monthly $29.95. This needs to be resolved and I want my money back now!

Bartleby.com my account has been debited although I have unsubscribed from the account

I have already unsubscribed from the account, I have not been using the website for more than a month, despite that my account has been debited.
Please look into the matter as soon as possible. I had last used this website on 27 th june, it would be great if you could refund me the amount... I hope you reply me promptly, I am expecting a positive answer from you

I was wondering why am being charged after I did cancel my membership 2 or 3 months ago for some reason today I have been charged 30 dollars and when I open the website it shows that I'm still a member and being charged even though I did not open the website for almost 3 months so I was wondering if I can get my money back as soon as possible please. Bartleby.com two unwarranted monthly subscription $39..95 after cancelling my subscription before due renewal date

I have been debited for two unwarranted monthly subscriptions in the amount of $39.95 from Bartleby's on the 14th May 2018 and again on 21st May 2018 . Another debit of $2.00 was debited on the 14 th May. I received confirmation of my unsubscribed account via email but they are still debiting me.
I have contacted them three times via the company's online email enquiry and I have not received one reply . Please not that I closed my subscription before the renewal was due. I am a University student and cannot afford to pay for these unjustified debits.
I can tender bank accounts and email confirmations if required

Bartleby.com cancel premium

I had canceled my premium account awhile back, but just today I got charged 59$ and I had to recancel premium again. What the hell is up with that!?!? This is unacceptable and I want a refund of the full 59$ that was charged. I had used it awhile back because I needed it, but I canceled it right after I had finished using it. Refund me the money!

I never knew about you ripping me off for a 29.46USD when just trying to buy an online essay which you mentioned for $2 USD. Please revert my money as soon as possible. You have to be transparent about your charges. My name is Amina Afreen and I had not made this transaction. This seems to me as an unauthorized transaction. Bartleby.com essays and research material for higher education

Advertised a trial for $2 for two days but this is not the case as immediately $89.95 was deducted from my account.
I never asked for a three month membership so realised I have been scammed but to make matters even worse the quality of their resource material is pathetic to say the least.
Essays are written by people who have limited knowledge in the subject.
The essay may come up when searching but when you require more information it is often not there.
Not sure what I have paid for so will warn everyone please do not get taken in with this site.
Most people would be financially poor students so please take notice.
Shame on you Bartelby.com - you will pay the price as karma has a great way of catching up.

Bartleby.com fraudulent/unethical behavior

Beware of this fraudulent site! I paid for a $2 essay in March and then was billed the $29.95 for March, April, May and June. I rarely go into my Paypal account, so didn't realize I had been billed $120! When I reached out to complain they were unwilling to credit me - even though they could see that I had not been used the service since the initial download in March. They also were not able to supply any email communications or confirmation of the subscription - only pointed to the small print (in grey) on the site with their terms and conditions. So unethical and dishonest!

[IMPORTANT $2 USD for 2 days]
The deal $2 USD for 2 days access seemed to good to be true, so i read their Terms of Service. When you accept their conditions: "You agree to pay all fees and charges that you incur subject to the payment terms that will be disclosed to you at the time you make your purchase."

The funny part about their deal: "As determined by the content provider of the Service, subscription fees may be automatically renewed at the end of the original term selected, for a similar period of time, unless notice is received from the subscriber seven (7) days before renewal. " So that means that you have to cancel your subscription 7 days before the next payment. But the deal is for only 2 days... so yeah.. u just aggreed to pay for 2 days and a whole month. The weird thing is that under their $2-USD-deal they say: "Then billed $29.95/month if you do not cancel" ...BUT YOU CAN NOT CANCEL IN THOSE 2 DAYS! :p

Pls everybody, always read Terms of Service

Bartleby.com essay

I couldn't find a cancel subscription button on the site and you've now charged me £30 when I only selected the £2 deal and had no way to change the account to prevent this charge.
I'm expecting a refund as I cannot afford to lose money like this.
I'm rather annoyed that there is no cancellation option as this seems like a scam.

Hopefully this will be resolved as I am severely in need of this money back.

Once you've clicked it select account settings and scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you'll see "cancel membership", then the steps are there to cancel the membership.
I've just had to do the same lmao, right scam.

Hello, I have tried multiple times to contact this company to cancel, yet the number is no longer working and only contact us through their site. Not even an email is found. I have follow the site and contacted, yet still billed $30 a month. I have screen shots of my contact I've sent as well. I'm at my ends with this situation. I'm not sure if you can provide me with another source of contact? Perhaps others have had the same issue as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you. [protected]@gmail.com

Bartleby.com £2 trial is a scam, they don't let you cancel membership and charge £29.95 anyway

I paid for the £2 two day trial to access some essays for my final exams. I tried again and again to cancel the membership before the two days ran up and the page continually failed and wouldn't let me cancel. They have just charged me £29.95 and are now refusing to refund me despite it being their fault due to their faulty website. I have no doubt they've set this up on purpose to cheat people out of money. Do NOT sign up for the trial.

Bartleby.com unable to cancel 1 days membership

I signed up for a 1 day membership for £2, I cannot see anywhere on the site regarding cancellation. I have complete their contact Us form. I now see from this website that it's a recurring problem. What can I do? I've tried to cancel my paypal but it hasn't appeared on my account so I can't cancel. I did NOT sign up for an ongoing membership, I only wanted to search for a particular topic. I am very concerned about this website and extremely annoyed that there appears no way of cancelling a 1 day membership.
