Bank of the West - branches and customer service

On 10/03/2019 I open a new account at 855 W Valley, Alhambra Ca at the branch. I deposit amount $800 my 401 K checks. Before I start the process, I ask how long will the checks be clear funds. Ronny who helps open my account, Did tell me takes 2 weeks to clear 10/16/2019. I understand it's a new account reasonable. Normally when deposited check the bank will allow the customers $200 funds to use. Waiting for 2 weeks to clear a long process. I make sure first will I able to use $200 early then 10/16/2019. Ronny needs to confirm with the supervisor first and was told by Oct.7 On Monday should be in my account. That's perfect I could pay some. bills. Let's start the process open check and saving the account. On Oct.5 I posted 2 payments online AT&T pay the bills knowing my funds will be available on Oct 7, 2019. Unfortunately, my funds weren't available on that day. I was penalized over-draft fee $70.00. I was upset why should I be penalized and was told by the branch my funds will be available it wasn't. Ronny apologizes and did courtesy credit back to my account. Ask what happen why didn't I have the funds. The supervisors Maria didn't realize was a new account. She thought was normally account and told the staff the wrong information. Existing customers deposits checks a large amount. Automated $200 will be available. I wasn't told in the beginning. If I knew that in the beginning, I wasn't going to receive my funds. I won't start paying my bill and waited till Oct 16 for funds to clear. On the day I posted my payment online to Electonic AT&T resend the payment again before Oct 16. get the funds I was late paying the bill. I did call AT&T not to post or resend payment after Oct 16. Unfortunately, didn't happen AT&T went ahead posted 1or 2 days. I got hit again another $70 overdraft fee. What's really upset me I called customer service to explain the situation I was giving the wrong information in the beginning and say I already got a 1-time courtesy credit and we aren't available to give you another. First, it wasn't my fault the branch given me wrong information was human error. Another mistake the branch manager and Ronny didn't make it clear to me that Oct 16 the check will be posted on that day. On Oct 17 my $800 will be released and I will be available. Explaining all this to Customer Service that I have the worst experience opening checking account information was given incorrectly was penalized and can't be refunded back, the policy stated one-time courtesy in the year. That's understandable if it was my fault. All. these happen wasn't my fault in the beginning. Customer service couldn't refund, they don't have authority And transfer me speak supervisor and hopefully could help me. Unfortunately, the supervisor says couldn't help me, I should go to the branch and speak with the supervisor over there hopefully they could help me. It was a branch error on their part. They should credit me back. No problem speak with the branch supervisor. All this happen that started at this branch. Last chance explain to Ronny and hopefully, he could credit me back again. I shouldn't be. calling customer service or keep stop by here 5 times fix the issue all I get was run around I'm tired and recovery from a car accident has to deal a mistake the branch given the wrong information. Unfortunately, Ronny wasn't any help. I have to wait for Supervisor Maria to come back from lunch. This is very interesting Maria got back from lunch, Hi Maria remembers me, first I thought in my mind she's my last hope all this was caused by her gave me the wrong information. She has the authority to credit me back. Knowing that I been coming back here a few and the same issues and have more understanding. The upsetting part that she doesn't remember me. I have to reexplain myself again from the beginning of from. A-Z. After I'm done explaining myself, her first word she denied that she didn't tell Ronny the $200 funds available on Monday. She wasn't here that day and was on vacation. You must be kidding me. I even asked you again to verify my funds will be on Monday. You knowledge Yes. Now you say I was on vacation Before you say something to. customer. First, things look. at the customer account first and review before you male another mistake. I was so patience with the bank and people make a mistake, Get an apology and push off button credit me back $70 bank error. Unfortunately, didn't happen what I expected. After Maria realized she mess up stay quite and finally review the account, the bank already gave credit back we can't give you another one. Maria, all this happen wasn't my fault in the beginning and was given wrong information, a runaround me calling customer service and after done with customer service, I need to speak to a person who opens the account. Both sides are pointing fingers. Since day one I couldn't pay the bill have to wait a few days. Once I pay the bill, I get an overdraft fee was told by. you my funds be available on Monday. On Oct 16 on that day my full amount will be released. Today's the 16th Of Oct no funds. You never mention that 16th Oct the check will be posted and 17th Oct ill have my funds. I understand their policy has to follow.in my case, all this could avoid if I was given correct information on what day my funds will be clear. I won't be posted any payment till. Oct 17. Now the bank is. charging me $70 wasn't my fault and won't credit me back. All you could say, I'm sorry. You can't credit me back it was your mistake. Now the bank is robbing me $70 fee. That's unlawful what you are doing. I'm the customer that shouldn't have to deal with all this in the beginning. The bank knows there are funds in my accounts in the beginning. Won't release till 2/weeks. Especially I don't have any. access to account for 2 weeks. Finally, I could start paying my bill and have access to my account. What's unfair that I have waited 2 weeks for the funds to clear and didn't get my amount I deposit $800. instead, I got less on my account, It's unlawfully and the consumer shouldn't be penalized fee worst banking experience and worst service.
