Bank of America Debit card locked

BOA accepted my son/daughter's income tax refund, they had my permission. BOA had the ability to refuse the deposit from the other banks, but BOA did not, BOA received the funds. BOA on 5/13/2022 then froze all access to the bank account; even funds that were in the bank account before the latest deposits were made.

Acct No: [protected]; or [protected]

Desired outcome: It would have best to return the last (2) deposits as refused, my children would have received a paper check; I need access to the $1800.00 dollars that I had in the account before BOA locked the debit card.

Bank of America Fraudulent Unauthorized charges on my debit card

On March 24,2021 there were tons of international purchases and charges made on my account all over the world ranging from Mexico, Singapore, Bangladesh, etc...along with fees from those charges. Mind me I have also been asleep on and off due to my medical condition from the medications. So upon waking up and checking on my account I noticed all those charges. On March 28,2022 I contacted bank of America and reported the unauthorized charges once I noticed tons of charges I didn't purchase or authorized anyone to use my card to do so. Because there were so many charges on my account that they had to make it 3 different separate claims with different claim numbers.

Less than a week, I received a status update and 2 of the 3 claims was noted "not paid" meaning it was denied. Also I felt as If I am being accuse of making those purchases when that was the main reason why i informed them in the first place! I didn't make any of those purchase nor did i authorize anyone to use my card or have anyone on my account with me!

I called and spoke to the fraud claims department and spoke to a guy name Corven. Being upset as I am and emotionally overwhelmed making my condition worse because of all this...as that wasnt enough for me to take, but to have Corven talk to me the way he did very rude and ill manner making me feel like I am a criminal! He clearly did not care to hear me out and basically didn't even let me talk like how I wanted and stopping me when I tried to speak. He basically told me that either I made the purchases or allowed someone to use my card! And that I need to write a "reconsideration letter explaining why they should re open my claims".

Bank of America made me feel like I am not of an importance enough to take my case seriously that someone is stealing my money while my money is under their banking I have with them! And now they want me to write a letter? Why? When I am already reporting when I called that I am reporting unauthorized charges I did not authorize! Is that not good enough?

I have emailed the bank of america advocate executive team member by the name Joseph Domenicone who is in the Client Care Executive Response Team and even called and left few messages on his extension that he asked me to call. Yet I have not got an email update or a phone call back! I even emailed Holly Oneil who is the Chief Client Care Executive at Bank of America and a person who claims she wants her "client" to feel like they have a personal relationship with the bank"! Really? Cause I really feel like all Bank of America workers do is accuse me and make me feel like a criminal!

How are is this bank letting so many international charges come through and take my money from my account? Has there been a data breach that I dont know of? is the fraud team really investigating because this is tons of different merchants on my statements I am seeing and I can't even find a legit merchant who is on the statment! Google did not find any of those fraudulent merchant or business listed on there! So if I can't find them while I try to get to the bottom of this how on earth are you going to tell me that the "merchants" have signatures, receipts, or contract I "supposely" have with them?! I need proof from every single merchants! I want every signature and receipts that its legit that I sign from all these merchants! If you can't provide it I expect all my money back in my account asap!

I also reported to FTC and will be doing a police report next!

Desired outcome: The outcome I want is to have bank of America to please return all my money back that is mines. They were suppose to protect my money and failed me.

Bank of America Closed checking account

I was in the middle of moving across the country and while attempting to log into my online banking, I found I was locked out. I called BoA customer service and was told that my account was in the process of closing. I did not receive any type of warning. I had not done any type of fraudulent activity. My balance was low but not overdrawn. I was also expecting a direct deposit in three days. I was told my the initial representative that it was closed by BoA due to ‘business reasons’ but was not able to tell me what those reasons were. I asked to speak with someone who could provide more information and was cold transferred to a supervisor who also could not tell me what happened and also said there was not appeal process. Now I’m left in a new city with no funds, unable to get my anticipated pay check in a timely manner with no reason why I am in this situation.

Desired outcome: I would like my account restored immediately.

Bank of America Bank of America prepaid EDD services

After denying my claim for unauthorized activity, I requested to have it reopened and sent in documents. After routinely calling in I was just informed today that my claims were approved with one pending back in February! However, I never was given a credit or refunded! A complaint was filed and management was notified and I was advised to wait up to 30 days for me to get my money. Mind you, it’s been well over 45 days. If it wasn’t for me having the claim numbers written down, the rep wouldn’t have ever seen the approved claims, but only the pending claim.

Desired outcome: Credited immediately and final claim handled with urgency

Bank of America Android app, smart phone "id" verification, fraud

The android B of A app. is garbage and constantly crashes. Do not ever use "Security" as some excuse to force me to receive some nonsense verification code; that is total BS weather using my PC for online banking or the crashing useless app. My user ID and password are all I should need, furthermore once signed in I should not require again some nonsense code sent to a smartphone to manage atm cards/debit cards, I'm signed in already. I am often in my daily business endeavors in places I cannot use a phone; phones loose connections, run out of power and I will not be forced to use a smart phone for tracking me, so called security or any other reason. That is an attempt at control and unconscionable practice. If I show at a Branch I don't expect bank personnel to tell me to just use the damn app. I want to speak with real people and be able to hold them accountable. All online virtual transactions are fiction and truthfully fraudulent. I rarely carry a smart phone on my person for my own personal security and to keep corporations out of my business.

Desired outcome: stop using smart phone nonsense "verification". Phones and SSNs may not be used for ID Purposes ever. My online ID and password are all that is necessary. do not ever shut off my card without my direct authorization.

Bank of America Bank of America - Applying for a Balance Assist

Devastated after months on end of living paycheck to paycheck and barely capable of finding a way to my workplace in downtown Boston that didn’t cost me money.

Applied for a balance assist and (made sure my account checked all the requirements for approval)- not approved. Checked periodically when things were tight hoping to give myself some room to breathe and lower the anxiety the situation is creating. Just paid off one of my two credit cards in full and was looking forward to my credit score shooting up a decent amount.

Instead I discover that the “applications” I had submitted for a $200-$500 balance assist (I’ve successfully paid off 1-2 in the past with on time and full payments on or before due date) we’re all reported to the credit bureau as failed credit inquiries- and shows that I’ve submitted 8 credit inquires in last 2 years, and a big fat Below Average score for inquiry. Best part is, Bank of America didn’t even have the decency to show a disclaimer or warning that they will run a hard credit check each instance of submission.

Way to go BOA- you really know how to show compassion and appreciation to loyal customers.

Desired outcome: Removal of repeat credit inquiries that were unauthorized.

Bank of America Fraud on debit card

I sent the fraud department twice all of my fraudulent transactions due to identity theft. First time I sent it certified mail to the write address that a Fraud manager gave me. It took a long time going through all statements. Almost six months later I called the fraud department and everyone I talked to couldn't find it in their system. It was signed for but no one had a clue. So they told me to do it all over again and gave me the same address and fax number. I faxed all information plus I sent it certified mail again. This was about four months ago and ai haven't heard a word and my account has not been reimbursed. I have been a Bank of America customer since 1985 I believe. I have never seen such an unorganized department in all of my life. I want this taken care of now! I don't want to hear that it is not in your system again! My name is: Gretchen Sullivan

Address: 105 Fairview Road

Needham, MA 02492

Phone: [protected]

And [protected]

My checking account ends in 6333

My debit card now ends in: 4734

My email is: [protected]@icloud.com

The fraudulent activity was so bad I had to get a new checking account.

The checking account I use to have ended in 5891. These were mostly online debit transactions. What is the problem this time? It adds up too about $3,000 in fraudulent transactions. I feel that you just don't want to fix this big problem of mine. Also I was scammed and I paid the scammer by 2 checks and I was told not to worry that it will be fixed. If there was enough money in the scammers account you would be able to get it back. One was written out to Tech Fusion and the other to Alfred I don't have the last name on hand right now. One check was for $2000 and the other $1,500. I was told they sent me a letter in the mail and said Bank of America can not take care of it. I never received such a letter and when I called for an update that's when I was told. I was lied too. So Bank of America sent me a letter to dispute it again. Again I haven't heard a word! I was promised that it would be taken care of and not to worry. The scammer had enough money in his account I was told but Bank of America did not get my funds back. I am very displeased with Bank of America. It's like you don't want to put the effort into certain jobs. You leave the customer hanging. That is totally unprofessional. Every time I call the fraud department I get transferred a few times and I still don't get the information I need. I am particularly upset that I sent on those transactions twice and certified as well as faxing them as well. I want at least this problem fixed! It's going on a year and Bank of America hadn't done a thing. I do not want to hear that it is not in the system again. I also want to get my money back from the scammer!

Desired outcome: I want all fraudulent transactions back into my bank account ASAP! I also want Bank of America to Get the money out of the scammmers account like I was promised.

Bank of America Cashing a check

On 4/18/2022 at 9:20am I went into Bank of America located on Plano Rd. Richardson, Tx. to simply cash a check drawn my wife's account. The Teller asked for my ID. I submitted my driver's license. She also asked me for my debit card. I did not provide a debit card. I told the Teller I also have an account which was opened in 1976. I asked if there was a problem as both our account balances had sufficient funds. At that point the Teller got rude and called her manager or a guy by the name of Chris Driscoll. He was even worse. I told them both we had sufficient funds and there should not be a problem. Chris Driscoll stated I really needed to show my debit card. He went on to say with COVID people covered their face with mask. I didn't understand that comment at all. I mentioned I also had a money market account in addition to those accounts. I stated I was upset enough to move all of our funds from Bank of America. He stated I could do however I felt. This incident is the worse experience I've had at this branch. I've encountered other bad experiences but was not compelled to write until today. Banking is a service. The Teller and Chris Driscoll need some counselling or work some other place than a bank.

Desired outcome: Need to train the Teller and Chris Driscoll the basic services of manners and handling bank customers

Bank of America Disputing the resolution

I can understand why the bank thought that I got money from the ATM, but after my card was blocked a couple of times already I was not happy on the 26th of January 2022 when I went to the ATM located at 1225 E. Robertson Blvd. In Chowchilla CA. 93610 to make a withdrawal but couldn't because my card was declined. So I thought I would wait and try again the next day before I called again about it having a block. So the next day January 27th I'm working in Chowchilla again so after I was done for the day I decided to go by the ATM again in Chowchilla CA., but again my card says declined. So after a long day I thought I'd try to get it unblocked through the Bank of America phone app and see that it says that I made a withdrawal from the ATM from the Bank of America located at 501 E. Yosemite Ave Madera CA 93638 on the 26th and the 27th that day. So I got off of the app because it doesn't work like they say it should. But I called to dispute the charges for those two days. But the Bank of America sent a letter a couple of days later saying it was resolved. But I called to dispute that again because I didn't get the money out for those two days because my card was declined. On the third call for my dispute concerning this matter. I brought up the fact that I got a reciept for each time I went to make a withdrawal. And I also made the comment about the ATM Balance Inquiry made on the 26th from a Wells Fargo Bank located at 1006 Blossom Hill Road San Jose CA 95123 prior to the withdrawal from the ATM at the Bank of America Branch in Madera. I also said that they should pull the bank footage. But I haven't heard anything since March concerning this matter. I've checked the bank statement and noticed that there are changes made to it! This is so upsetting to me! My claim number is [protected] from the account ending in 3948 in the amount of $2,000.00 please help me get the Resolution I deserve and that's to get my money put back on my card. That caused me to loose a job out of state! Thank you for your help and I appreciate your support with this matter! Again Thank You, Belinda Burris 16556 Road 19 Madera CA. 93637

Desired outcome: Return the money to my account

Bank of America Debit cards

Goof Day, I have been having an issue regarding acessing my bank account for quite sometime as an international and it is really hard for me doing from abroad. Last time I requested the help in October 2022 and I was not even able to receive the help to see what is my account number.

Before that in 2019 I have tried to order a fast card to France and I did not receive via email we had to go to the postal office and loof ourselves, we drove 20 km from the place. (I wanted to send a complaint that time that the charge I recived way extended the servie as I have eplained that the situatuation is quite difficult, uncertain and yet I left with no help, I was lucky that the person I have been volunteering for made time to help me)

My card and account has been blocked yet charged for almost 8 months now. And unfortunately I was told that my account is not elegible for a student wavier but only those registered after 2021. It is actually weird as even online education for the courses and etc extended due to covid. All the companies made some extensions for the customers due to all the world changes. And the information on the website. Might be a confusion frommy side but did not see

I was told by a few customer service representatives though that I yet should be eligible for a student.

I can varify myself if you call the number +[protected]

Desired outcome: I would really apprecviate the consideration for a refund of the charges that were received since the time my card was blaocked. I also explected to be eleigilbe for a student vawier.

Bank of America Unauthorized fraudulent charges denied!

All my tax refund money has been wiped out! I have been waiting so long for my refund and finally when I needed it most to catch up on behind bills, all of it was wiped out! Lots of international charges all over the places and business names that is unknown to me. I reported to my bank of america while transaction was still processing. Because there were tons of charges that it became 3 separate claims. Just found out that 2 of the 3 claims was "not paid" status which states its denied!

It states on the investigation that "I" authorized it or a person whom I may authorized it had my permission! There no one I have authorized on my account period! And I didn't make any purchases!

I am so overwhelmed with this bank and this is the second time I let them do this to me! This time it's way too much money that I cant let go! I need my refund for my bills and families! I have kids too! I am not working and it's been hard! Please give me my money back! I trusted bank of america to protect my money.

Someone help me. There was nothing attach with my denied claim with any proof of my signature as stated or contract! This is wrong.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back into my account so I can pay my bills before services start shutting off please!

Update: 4/19/22

2 of 3 claims that totaled to $5683 has now been closed and I am accused that I "authorized " or someone I "authorized " on my account to use my money!

I don't know what to do away this point. I feel helpless and not even protected by my own bank that I trusted. I am asked to write a letter to request to re open my claim and give my explanation! Seriously? Is this how you treat all customers? Or is it just me? I contacted the bank and informed already of unauthorized charges! I tried googling who all these merchants are and they are no where to be found! So many international charges from ibanad, Singapore, Nigeria ' Mexico, with merchants that not real! How are Money taken from me all over the world? Please I have Bills that's backed up and pge about to shut off. I have kids and am looking forward to my tax refund that I waited so long to come and now it's all gone.

Regional manger for Frederick MD

I have been bank of America customer since 1998 I have have many of your branches at different states.

In My observation for the last 8 years at two of local branch in the city of Frederick Maryland dose not represent America.

In my 8 years close observation many of these branch employees are Latinos

Bank of America Credit card account service.

I had set up automatic payments for both of my credit card accounts. I tried to cancel the auto pays and just schedule a one time online payment, but got a little confused by the vague interface. Somehow I ended up having two automatic payments on each account instead of cancelling the original ones. I called more than once to resolve the problem. It took three months before someone was able to help me. They only eliminated one autopay on each account, however, instead of eliminating all of them, which is what I asked for. A few months later I payed both balances down to zero, and called to speak to a rep. Told her I was done with using these accounts, and so she gave me the final amount so I would be done paying interest. I thought I was done, but this month they took money out of my account. I have no reason to think calling and talking to a representative is going to do me any good. They owe me $300.

Desired outcome: I want my $300 without having to use my cards to get it back, because knowing them, if I use the cards they'll think I owe them interest even for using money to that's actually mine.

Bank of America Refund of overpayment on credit card.

I have been calling regularly to get a refund for an overpayment. Every time I call, the answer is always "you should get your refund in 2-5 business days". No one can tell me when to expect my money and it is causing me financial difficulties.

According to ftc.gov, a refund request should be fulfilled in 7 business days. https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/using-credit-card

Bank of America Mistake in deposit

Several years ago I used a wrong account number to deposit $6000 in the BOA branch. The next day when I realized my mistake I went back to the branch with all the information I had, admitted my mistake but the bank manager nor tellers would do anything. They did say they called the account holder i made the deposit to and that is all. They wouldn't tell me who it was or how to reach them. They did say the owner might consider returning part of it, but not who to contact. Thus I feel BOA still owes me $6000 and will never geet my business until I receive it back

Desired outcome: Return the $6000

Bank of America Unauthorized wire transfer / identity theft / incompetent employees

My uncle recently sold his home of 60 years and trusted this bank to handle his account and protect his money. A few days ago he learned that a wire transfer was taken from his account in the amount of 85,000 which left him with not any at all. He informed two employees that no transactions were to be done unless he was doing them in person. Someone clearly has stolen his identity and the bank is not doing anything about it. In fact, today they closed his account. Hes in his late 60s, has no home and no money because of the bank allowing this wire transfer. He never received a phone call asking if it was him doing the transfer, but just for that amount of money, he should've gotten a phone call atleast for safety measures. No phone call and they are treating him like he did it himself, and I can prove he did not. This world is in a time of crisis and there are desperate lazy scammers everywhere. My uncle has been very naive and gullible the past year and he still has all the faith in the world and all mankind. The bank of america is located in springdale ark

Desired outcome: get his money back and catch identity thieves

Bank of America Estate Department

I have had the absolute worst experience with the Estate Department and will never do business with Bank of America again.

My father passed away and as his personal representative, it was my responsibility to close out his account. It has been a nightmare right from the start. It started on February 17th and is still ongoing March 24th.

When I called the assigned case manager (who I have never spoken with), I was told I would have to go to a local branch to complete a Distribution Intention Form (may not be the exact name).

I went to the branch on S. Tamiami Trail in Ft Myers to do so and while the woman I spoke with was "lovely" she failed to upload the form as she said she would. When I called back to check the status, I was told there was missing information and that I would have to go back to the branch and do it again.

When I did, they said the form had not scanned properly. In my opinion, that is something I should have been notified of by the case manager (again to whom I have never spoken).

Again, I waited over a week and called back to check the status. I was told that the account had been closed out and that the check had been mailed over a week before. I tried to explain that there were statements I needed for my Probate attorney but the connection was so poor, I had to hang up.

Called back yet again and was on hold for over an hour. I had to hang up as I was working. Tried again when I was able to (call number 3 today) and have now been on hold for half and hour. Listening to the same recorded message about high call volume. Trust me, if I didn't need to get account statements for my Probate attorney, I wouldn't have waited.

This is horrible customer service and I will absolutely never use BOA again.

The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Desired outcome: Just want to close the account and get the statements I need.
