I rented a car in Dubai from Bab Al Madeena car rentals in May 2018. Found this company online and they offered very attractive price. After 10 days I returned the car in its original condition (just without disgusting cigarette smell) and was promissed to get back my deposit back to the credit card within a month. Never got it and they just ignore me now. Total amount of this scam is around 400 usd.
I'm facing the same problem.
I received a disgusting smelly car with a dead battery and spare tire.
Unfortunately, I fell for their trap. They offered me a special rate for 3 months rental. But after the first month, they increased the rate without informing me and charged extra 500 dhs
They did not honor the initial agreement.
Also, they have hidden fees on th back page of the rental contract. They only ask you to read and sign the front page so that you don't find out about the absurd hidden fees on the back.
They are cheater, no one is responding on time. Every discussion on whatsapp only They deduct from security deposit, but not giving answer. Requested for statement from them but again no answer.
These bogus companies giving lucrative price to trap customer not to retain.
Bab Al Madeena rent a car company
They will charge on your deposit without any reason. They will not disclose anything properly and say it is mentioned in your contract and will deduct money from your deposit.
They gave less price for rent a car and their cars are also old but they will deduct the money from your deposit.
I have given Aed 1000 deposit and they returned me back Aed 737 by saying pick up service is aed 200 and admin/transfer fees is aed 50 plus taxes for the above. Who will charge aed 50 for transfer fees of your money to any account.
Drop off and pick up service was told to me it is available. They did not charge me for drop off but suddenly charge me for pick up without saying anything. Now they are saying pick up is Aed 200. These are buggers and cannot be trusted.
They have so many things written in their contract. Be sure to check each and everything if you cannot avoid them.
Worst experience with this rental company. Rented a Kia Picanto and broke down when I was in Sharjah just few days later. To get them to send me a recovery was a painful effort. We reached eventually the office few hours later to get a different car and I got to see what a dirty and poorly organized place that was. Staff has no idea of customer service and quality of service. Poor communication and very rude.
Even second car was soo poorly maintained (they have a garage in the back of the office and they DIY the repairs so you never know when your car will break)
Finally, one month after retuning the car, out of the 1000 aed deposit i got back only 632 AED:
• 200 aed for not washing the car right before returning it. Car was washed the day before and stood outside for a night, still was cleaner than when I got it
• 100 for coming to pick up the car. I understand there may be a fee for this, however I was never told this is a paid service and the cost of it.
• 50 aed processing fee (for stealing money from my deposit)
• 18 AED VAT for the services mentioned above
Dubai should not allowed such companies to work under these conditions

They are giving attractive price and pple are falling on this.
I rented for 14 days but after 10 days car breaked down in the middle of road while travelling with family (they promised one car and delivered another car that is another service quality) after stopping the car i called their operation team no-body responded, then I call police, they arrange recovery service to remove the car from the road (since almost a heavy block is happened) after 5-6 hours they send a recovery vehicle and collected the but no replacement nothing. Atleast i received my security after many follow-up after a nominal deduction.
Do not rent s car from this rental. Very bad , very bad service. Cheaters. They will charge deposit and will return after 45 days. They will deduct too much. Do not rent.
They are cheaters. Why this company is exisying with all this horrible reviews from customers. Someone should shut down this company. They promised to replace the car. And today 2nd day no car, noone responding to my 100 calls. They are kidding people. I have paid for the air.
SCAMMER, CHEATERS, LOOTERS, THUGS, ROBBERS. ALL THE ABOVE WORDS ARE LESS FOR THIS COMPANY.
They are absolutely crooks, and have highest level of Unethical practices. They will make sure that you are being cheated and looted for sure. They have their agreements and terms and conditions are in such a way in contact in such small fonts that you will end up paying much more.

This is one of the worst company and I have reported it to the police. They have sent us a fine of 1560/- whereas there's no traffic fine on RTA app. They have also sent us the outstanding balance of 5900/- whereas, there's no outstading balance. There's no communication from the agent to the senior level managers. Please beware and stay away from such Fraudsters.
unfortunately i rented form them as well and they send a bill after 2 months of handing over the car saying, i owe them AED 5500, can you tell me what did you do and did you pay them what they asked for.
Worst car rental company ever. This company needs to shut down they are thieves fraud cheaters and a big scam to rob their customers, most of their clients have been robbed and i made a big mistake by not reading the comments and reviews of this company before hiring the car.

Same here. I didn't read the reviews. This is by far my worst experience with rent a car company in my 13 years in UAE. They deducted a fine from my Security Deposit which I've already paid. And they had the audacity to charge me for admin fees for fine too! I will never ever transact with Bal AL Madeena. Worst rent a car company in UAE!
I wish I had read the reviews on here before using this company. Their staff is awful, there is no clear communication and all they are interested in is extra hidden charges to make more money. Even though their per car rate is reasonable, the whole process of dealing with this company was miserable and I'd rather have paid a little extra to a different company who was more professional with knowledgeable staff. Will NEVER use Bab Al Madeena again - they are a joke.
All of us came to UAE to live in a country free of crime and scam. Now this company is allowed by the DED to operate in such a scam manor. Yes we lost time and money, but now we are thousands and we will tell our stories and the big loser is going to be Dubai. I really don't understand why UAE are damaging their image with this company which operates under different names without even valid contact numbers.
Worst car rental company ever! I used car rental services so many times around the world but this one should not exist. I rented car for two days, it had spots inside all over and a smell. When I rented I asked whether they will come to pick it up and they said yes, someone will contact you. After two days I contacted and they told me in the evening of Thursday that I have to return to their office in International city. I said I do not have time to drive now that far and office will be closed by the time I will reach. They then messaged somebody will pick it up by 7pm. Nobody did. Next day I was messaging, no one was responding. On Saturday they messaged somebody will pick it up and nobody did again. Finally on Monday they picked it up. I asked them to confirm they will not charge for all these days they were not picking up the car. But they were saying accounts will confirm. More than one month after they returned deposit and deducted amount for five days.
Well I had even worst experience, I wander how this scam company exist in Dubai and the DED doing nothing
This company is a scam ! No one should ever rent from them . I was cheated and so Was my brother. Really hope they shut down soon! Terrible scam company
I agreed to get rent a car from this company, everything was set and delivered but after reading all the reviews i didnt take the car even if they delived it to me, they threaten me that they will call police and i said read your thousand reviews and call police, thank god i save myself from stress
I am glad you checked the reviews before deciding to rent a car from them. I wish everyone reads reviews . They entice with low prices and then scam you off with the money charging unnecessarily and saying its in fine print. Worst company ever !

Finally I rented a worst maintained car worth of (40AED/Day) - 120 AED total and ended up paying 620 AED for the same where i could have got a luxury car in that price tag. You people are just a scam and trying to get the blood of customers in these difficult times too.

Additional Rent - 79 AED (I closed on Thursday evening after contacting with them)
Washing bill not provided - 200 AED
Late Closing - 200 AED
Vat - 24 AED

Same case here, I had rented and returned a car over a year ago. There was a delay in payment and they significantly overcharged me. I returned the car and refused to pay the exorbitant extra charges they levied. Later when i wanted to urgently travel - I was blocked and they said this company had put a criminal case for AED 5000, Unfortunately since i had to travel I paid the amount at the court and cleared things (Please bear in mind, this is an excess of their own math, and in no normal circumstances will rent a small car rent tally upto AED 5000 in 1 month).
Now after 6 months of clearing the case, I have received a civil case threat from them citing AED 40k+ through a whatsapp group. When i told them the previous case was already closed, they are acting as though they didn't receive anything from the police/court. If anyone wishes to pursue legal action along with me, please respond to this comment

I have the same issue with them.
I have settled everything with them.
And they didnt pay me the security deposit back.when i followed up , they started charging money again from my card. I closed that account just because of this.
They filed a compliant in Police and I could not fly to India.
I had to pay and then I flied.
Now they are threatening me that they will file a civil case after 2 years.
Please help me how to sort this out

Avoid this company as you can. And I will explain you why,
I rent a car from them for a month, first was Maga durty, outside have major accidents, I say OK I was in hurry and i received, Car was 1390 aed per month . Any way on renewing they ask for 1990 aed for a Renault symbol scrab car as condition so I cancel, I give them deposit 1000 aed and they say after 25 working day will refund. This never happened. They give reason of extra km salik and raod violations. On top of this they open CIVIL CASE for a 160 aed wich was not fare any way now this company is asking 10600 aed. To return the deposit back we all need to rise a complain in consumer rights department at DED. It’s easy, online only, take 10 minutes.

This is worse rental car company ever!
They don’t give full deposit back even after you clear all the amount during handover.
I have not gotten my deposit back, but will contact the Dubai police. Suggest no one uses this company.
