AutoVantageCollecting Car towing

I will try to keep this as short as possible, I called them at 3pm to have my car towed. They said it would be an hour an a half, I called 2 hours later they told me it would be another hour, I waited another hour and called them, they said someone is on his way and he is 1 hour away, they informed me that it would be $80. I told them I should not pay because I am already on their plan! That's why I signed up with them so I wouldn't have to pay every time I have to get towed, which has only been once before and have been with them for over 4 years.

They then told me that they would not send anyone out until I payed them, because I was farther than their plan allowed. I was extremely upset and had no choice even though I was not far from where I live. I paid them, waited another hour, and by that time I had enough and got a ride home. They told me the truck driver would call me when he got to the car.

I got a call from the tow truck driver at 2am! He asked me where I was so I could pay him. I told him I was at home and he told me I had to physically be there to pay him. I just gave him my card number over the phone after minutes of him telling me to be there.

Bottom line is this, I went online and on their website it says 80 Miles tow distance! I was 12 miles away from where I needed it towed. I called the company and they gave me an address to send a written letter to ask for a refund. Waited days, I got no reply! I emailed them and told them the situation, I got no reply! After finding out the email info of a high up person in the company she finally called me and sent me a refund envelope. That is what I had to go through with this horrible company! STAY AWAY!

AutoVantageCollecting Collecting membership,need refund

This AutoVantage firm claiming I was a member, that's the reason they are collecting a monthly membership fee of 16.99 dollar, from my Credit Card (Discover/Walmart). They had no other valid reason to do this because I am denying faithfully that this is a fraud. To someone, concerned agencies who can help pursue this kind of scam, please take a necessary action against this AutoVantage proliferation. I am likewise requesting this firm to refund my money they robbed for several months now. Thank you so much and more power..

I called their customer service number to file a complaint. They promised to give me credit back and will cancel the contract. So far the $14.99 credit has showed up on my bank statement. Hopefully I won't see any more of $14.99 in the future.

AutoVantageCollecting filed false membership

This company filed a false membership out in our name and billed our credit card for $90.00 and then sent a letter stating that If we didn't call to cancel they would bill us again every 6 months for the same amount. I don't know how they got out credit card info but this is a scam. I called to cancel with their number [protected] and had to stay on hold for a long time. I finally spoke with Vincent to cancel our "so called membership". There are so many sites saying they have billed people without approval. I want to know what to do to stop their fraudulent billing. I guess if I had not opened their letter I would've been bil!led $90.00 again. They make it so that if you don't call to cancel after getting their letter they will then bill you. This is wrong and I am going to do whatever can be done to shut this company down! Don't try to go on their website bc they then ask for your password to your computer!

AutoVantageCollecting charged my debit without permission since 2010

AUTOVANTAGE DES:[protected] ID:182385487431ATV INDN:TURNER, ALEXANDRA CO ID:2941
Has been charging me $14.99 since 12/10/2010. I was not aware of this transaction, unfortunately, until today Sept 17, 2011. I have lost a total of $149.90 to this AutoVantage company, and for a college student like myself, this is a lot of money. I would like to find a way in which I can be reimbursed this money, and in which AutoVantage will STOP doing this to me, and several other people who have also been scammed. I have never owned a car, I do not even have a drivers license. Please help, this is very frustrating news for me. Thank you.

Have you tried calling auto-vantage? Their number [protected]. Our service was supposed to be cancelled in Sept and they didn't cancel it so I just got off the phone with a supervisor and getting a full refund from Sept through Dec.

AutoVantageCollecting auto withdrawal, not authorized

We had noticed a monthly reoccuring charge that was not authroized. When we tried to get this changed, Bank of America said it was authorized so despite our closing of the account, the charges continued. The charges were $15 per month on my wife's account and she was not careful enough in checking into it, assuming instead that it was related to our car insurance.

beware of this company, they are scammers.

AutoVantageCollecting Stealing money from unused credit card

In balancing my Mom’s checking account, I found a deduction from a credit card, she no longer uses. My Mom has Alzheimer’s and has been in a nursing home for two years. I am her poa. I have one credit card which she does not use. Please check into this. AutoVantage deducted $129.99 from her old credit card. I cut up that card and don’t even know the number.

AutoVantageCollecting Fraud and scam

I write on behalf of my 79 year old mother who was a victim of this scam. In the fall of 2008 she made several purchases from fragrancenet.com. In December of 2008 she got a letter from fragrancenet.com with a $5 check enclosed. She honestly thought she was being 'rewarded' for being a good customer, so she signed and deposited the check. On March 3, 2009 she received her Discover Card bill and noticed a charge of $149.00, charged by AutoVantage. Discover Card was no help at all, telling me that I had to work it out with the company.

I made several attempts to call the company at the listed number, but all their operators or representatives seem to be busy ALL the TIME. So, I e-mailed AutoVantage AND Triegiant Corporation. As of today, I haven't received a reply from either of them, so I e-mailed their 'administrator at Davis & Gilbert, LLP in New York Cit. I haven't heard from them either.

Today, I filed complaints with the Connecticut Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. Tomorrow I will file a complaint with the Attorney General. It saddens me to think that a company or corporation would take advantage of people like this, let alone the elderly who are on fixed incomes. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to recover my mom's money.

I don't understand how fragrancenet.com could give her credit card number LEGALLY to another company. I've learned there is A LOT of information about the AutoVantage SCAM. Just google the name and you'll more than likely grow angry with all the pending lawsuits and scams associated with AutoVangate AND Triegiant Corporation. My mother is a 'saver' so she still has the envelope from fragrancenet.com that contained the check. The return address is clearly fragrancenet.com.

I will no longer purchase her perfume for her from them and I would advised anyone else to buy their perfume elsewhere. Yes, I tried to contact fragrancenet.com. I haven't heard from them either. If anyone out there has any helpful suggestions, I'm open for them I just want to get my mom's money back.

Received charge on my Macy's account for something I did not purchase. Charge was from third party, Autovantage. Never hear of it. Asked Macy's to credit my account for the charge and then closed account. This took 6 calls to Macy's. Also call Autovantage but they are not taking calls.

My 85 year old mother who does not drive or own a car fell victim to these unscrupulous people. We had no idea whatsoever that she was enrolled in this until a letter came from them saying they were going to re-enroll her for another year at $119.00. I called them- very bad connection in the Phillipines- and was advised that our Macy's card has been charged, in total- $650.00! over the years. I am livid with Macy's ( my next call) and this Auto Vantage place told me they are mailing us an affidavit to sign and they will refund the entire $650.oo. Someone has to shut them down.

AutoVantageCollecting Illegal charge

There was a $149.99 charge on my July 2007 Juniper statement. It was for AutoVantage membership. I never heard of this company and immediately contacted Juniper to have the charge removed from my account. Three letters later they explained that they couldn't reverse the charges but instead AutoVantage would send me a check for the $149.99 which came in September 2007. They also accused me of accepting a $20.00 Home Depot card, which I had never received. I was furious.

Now I have $82.00 in late fees and penalties. I always pay my credit cards off... this is ridiculous! I called Juniper "customer" center and was told that my account is closed because of this $82.00 fee and I had to pay it. Even though they have the letter from Sheri Pinkerton, Dispute Advisor, apologizing for this transaction. Juniper customer service says there is nothing I can do except pay.

Come to find out that AutoVantage is a subsidiary company owned by Barkley/Juniper Banks.

This must be illegal... I know I'm afraid this will mess-up my credit standing and I did nothing wrong. How can Juniper allow this kind of business practice to continue?

I'm sorry you guys have gone through this. I happened to have a good experience with AutoVantage. I signed up with them through WellsFargo for a trial period and a month later never received anything. I called WF and they patched me through to an AutoVantage rep who apologized, said my kit was on its way, sent a backup one just in case, and extended my 30 day trial period (ending in the beginning of April) through to June! AutoVantage has amazing discounts on auto services, rentals, hotels, and 5 free tows!
I'm happy I signed up because today my fiance's tire blew out and so tonight we will be using our free tow and discount tire service from Firestone!

I'm sorry you guys were dicked around but I believe this is a good company if you give them the right chance.
Oh and I will be canceling my service before my trial period runs out. If I don't, it's only $14.95 a month.

I have had the same problem with AutoVantage. They are sneaky. They made it look like I was getting something from my bank. The letter was even mailed from my bank. They have deducted over $200 from my account! And then when you call to find out who they are and why they are taking money out they are rude and lie to you about how to cancel. I would be ashamed to work at this company or do business with this company. Scamming people out of money is pitiful!
