adjuster also has been refused access until they get payment for the tow and storage.the
insurance company is responsible for that payment, but they cant pay until they see my vehicle.
i have filed a complaint with the dmv and, freeport police .and nothing has been done, everyday my

Working for an insurance company myself, handling these victims of Hurricane Sandy. I can say to any person who works for this company it may not be the mechanics themselves but the owner(s) Lorianne, Lori and Gus are crocks. They are picking up cars under the impression to the owners that they are working with the insurance carriers and making the customers sign some forms. When we call to get the vehicles cleared for pick up they are conviently closed or Lorianne (who is the only person who can give charges out apparantly) is not in the office. I have been helping a customer try to get their car out for almost two weeks and have still be told the vehicle is not released yet by the owner. Which in fact there was a 3 way call done of the owner giving permission to get it picked up. The owner even went to the shop and couldn't see her car, when the call was made to ask where it was located Gus said I don't know. When said customer goes into the shop they are being asked to let Autotech Collision take ownership of the car and let them deal with the insurnace company. We want to pay this company but it is hard when they will not give invoices nor will they accept a check only cash. Please anyone that may think of using this company don't.

If anyone is interested I will physically move cars out of the lot. Its 100% legal to go in and take your car back. The only requirement is that I ask for you to have/ bring a copy or the title of the car (proof of ownership) so that i dont get in trouble taking the cars back.

RayRaywhite1... you are a piece of ### and so is your scam of a shop. We do autobody work and restoration because we enjoy working on cars, We work on cars for our amusement and joy. We so happend to earn a living from it as well. We dont blatantly scam people to charge ridiculous storage fees. Why do you have such ridiculous storage fees? Why are you storing cars for months? Why are you illegally making people sign authorization for repairs at the scene of an accident? Why are you dismantling cars you have no intentions of fixing? Maybe we should all crash some clunkers in front of your shop, so then you could tow them into the yard and collect some storage that we will never pay. Since that is what you are actually doing as a profession. You are a sadly organize storage shack. I'd love to see a list and testimony of some satisfied customers.

I just saw this on FOX news "Shame on You" Someone should get AutoTech of Rockville Center to be taken OFF the tow list. Let them find another way to pay their precious bills. In fact maybe they would be better off coaching little league. I have operated a bodyshop for two decades and I would never scam a customer the way I see this company making some extravegant waiver form to sign at time of tow hookup.

TO RAYRAYWHITE1. Please give me a break you freaking CON artist. I'm sure the CEO of Enron and Bernie Madoff used the same excuses you are using to JUSTIFY YOUR SCAM. It is illegal to solicit repairs at a scene of an accident. PERIOD. END OF STORY. That waiver you tricked people into signing is not LEGAL. It is UNBELIEVABLE that you have gotten away with this for so long. Hopefully the FOX 5 report and numerous investegations against will put you in Jail where you belong. Prepare yourself and have fun being someone's ### in jail you rotten piece of flesh because I see it in your very present future.

Just for the record, we at Autotech do Collision repairs and towing to feed our families and pay our mortgages, rents, and bills. This is the only reason we come to work and I would assume this would go for you as well. If we are on a Police tow list, and the Police call us to the accident scene, we go. We provide a sevice to the Public, not a free service I might add, but a service none the less. We tow accidents, upon Police request, make no mistake about this... WE DO THIS FOR A LIVING, not for our own personal amusement. I would much rather be home coaching Little League, or helping my Children with their homework. If you seemingly uneducated few took the time to look into the scams perpetrated on the public by the insurance companies, you would actually know who to blame for any misfortunate experience that you may have encountered as the result of being towed when in an accident. Had you simply played by the rules and PAYED YOUR BILL for the service that we have already performed for you, you would have found the experience to be a positive one. We did not smash you car. We were not responsible for YOUR accident. We are certainly not responsible to "absorb" your tow bill and provide our already performed service without reimbursement. It has been our past experience that, especially in the case of a total loss, your insurance company would love nothing better than to simply stroll in to our shop, take photos of your vehicle, declare it a total loss, send you a check for the vehicle, and just walk away from the situation. The consumer, now feeling that they were made whole for the loss of their automobile, suddenly feels no responsibility towards the tow company for towing and storing their automobile for sometimes weeks, and now they walk away from the situation as well. This being said, at this point in time, and from our point of view, now we were never paid by ANYONE, we now have another abandoned vehicle on our property, that by NY State Department of Motor Vehicle regulation, we have no ability to "junk" or otherwise dispose of without TITLE or some form of ownership, we are paying taxes and mortgages or rent on the very piece of land this wreck is sitting on, so now a tow that took 30 minutes to perform ends up COSTING us a tremendous amount of money, and we still have to put a lien on the vehicle, at additional cost, to gain ownership of this junk, just so we may dispose of it. If any of this sounds remotely fair to you than you may join the ranks of the people willing to refuse to pay their bill while pointing their finger at anyone but themselves for us to get paid from. Lynne, from Freeport NY is one of these ingenious types that when asked to pay her bill stated, "Oh no, that's between you and my insurance company". WRONG. We towed your vehicle, not Allstates, Geico's, or Progressive's car, we towed YOUR CAR and guess what, that makes it YOUR bill. Pay your bill and stop insulting our intelligence. We have been screwed by every insurance company on the block and several times each, I assure you, and we refuse to let it happen again. Had you simply paid your bill for your tow, and one day of storage we would have allowed your insurance carrier, as well as yourself, access to do whatever you would please to do with your automobile. This is not WELFARE, we do not pay for your mistakes and misfortune, and you NEVER cost us money. Your car, your accident, your problem. And in the future, when my five kids need clothes, or they are hungry, or when my mortgage is due, I will come to your door and ask your deadbeat, white trash ### to pay my bills and assume my problems as you did us. Pay your bill and maybe you would be treated with some respect. Until then should stop leaning on normal working people to take care of your problems and pay your bills for you. Just for the record, your car wasn't worth $500 BEFORE it got hit. You should have just payed for the tow, handed us the title and asked us to junk it after the insurance company saw it. You just need to admit to yourself and others that you were too cheap, or too broke, or too irresponsible to take care of your bill, and for that we would never reward you by provided more and more services in hopes that we MIGHT get paid from a deadbeat that wouldn't pay in the first place. THIS IS NOT THE WELFARE LINE... Wake up

Lynne, My heart goes out to you, same thing happened to me, she is ###, this is what she does, offer her the money and if she doesnt accept it then you should take her to court, she has no right to be doing what she is but somehow gets away with it, she is devious manipulative woman and has to be stopped. Do a search on her and you will see how many court cases she has against her, she knows the system.
