G Review updated:

Firstly the company supplied me with a car with 5 faulty bulbs, which resulted in the police pulling us over. He later admitted to have known the lights were faulty! The car check was done on the side of a busy intersection with the side lights on so the full light problem wasn't seen and a full inspection of the car was very difficult. Secondly they had no credit card facility, as they adverstised, so he drove me to the airport where I had to withdraw money and an unfavourable rate. Thirdly they over-charged me, only by a couple of euro but its the principle! Fourthly thay tried to accuse me of damage which was previously on the car. When I protested, he subsequently found a missing detachable part of the under body and justified a 50 euro fine of my deposit!! Lastly they have not responded to my written email complaint. In short do not use this 'budget' car rental firm, they are the worst I've ever come across. It seems they look to find a way to extract the difference that more reputable firms charge. Enjoy your holiday in Romania and STAY AWAY!

Worse possible rental company-liers, thiefs, charlatans and scumbags. Rented the car at $18/day and then they charge me additional $70 a DAY IN 3RD PARTY INSURANCE. Romania is an amazing and beautiful country but because scumbags like EasyFleet SRL the reputation of the country is affected. If this happened in USA they would be charged and in prison. I had to hire a lawyer and I will make sure to drag them through the system. My advice to anyone would be to use US base rental companies.

Autorent is the same as Easy Fleet SRL and Economy Rent A Car Otopeni. They scammed me for over $1000, misrepresented company policies, misinformed on my charges, they said they will put a pending on security deposit if i initial a box while all along they charged me for insurance that i specifically asked multiple times i wont purchase. Thieves by misleading, do not use their services, the agents are rude and violent if you refuse their business. Very bad experience and very unhappy!

They had problems with Thrifty Car Rental not with www.auto-rent.ro (Promotor Rent a Car) so it's just not true what they are saying! Diferent companies! check it out!

www.auto-rent.ro (Promotor Rent a Car ) and Thrifty car rental are diferent companies! I used their services many times and would definately use again. It was so inexpensive and easy to book a car through this site! I'll always look here first for the best deals on car hire from now on!

Hi, we had a bad experience with them too. Because of the volcanic ash we had to cancel our trip to Romania. We also cancelled our car rental with Auto-rent, that is known as Thrifty Car Rental Romania. They charged our credit card three time the daily rate that was the cancellation fee. We called the bank to dispute the charge and now we are waiting. Very very bad company!!!
