Atlanta Air Experts Duct cleaning

The service is so bad I didn't even want to give them one star. They came out to clean the air ducts, etc. and they destroyed our system. Prior to them coming the system was functioning ok. After they left, there was no air flowing in our house. We called them to have them come back and look at it since it stopped working after they did their service and they refused to and wanted to charge a $80 fee to come back. They wouldn't even let us speak to the person in charge. I would never use this company again. It is evident that it was all a ploy to get us to call them back so they can make more money off us.

Atlanta Air Experts Air Duct Cleaning

Below is an email I sent to several departments in Sears. I did get a call back and explained the issue and said that I would be given a $100 gift card. I accepted the gesture and got airduct cleaning done somewhere else. I never received the gift card. Sears is a very dishonest company to deal with and the customer service by their contracted companies is horrible. I have tried every avenue to get someone to listen to me but have had no luck. I have turned to Social Media.

I am very upset with the way I was treated by Sears! I scheduled an appointment for Duct Cleatning and was given a window between 12-8 at 7:00 they called me to cancel due to a big job they had before mine. I understood and made arrangements for the following Saturday to be the first house of the day. I confirmed my appointment the day before. I called Saturday at 9:30 to inquire where they were and said that they tried to call me and I did not answer so they sent them to another job. I was extremely upset and explained to the guy I confirmed my appointment the night before. He then said that they will be at my house next. They called me at 3:00 the same day and informed me they were on their way. I called back at 5:00pm and told him they were still not there. he then had the technician call me who said they were about a mile away. After they arrived I showed them all the vents and he said
that they were not able to start the job because it was to big of a job to start this late in the day and that they will come out next
Saturday in the morning. I agreed with them and said ok. Next Saturday came and no call and no response. Now I am really aggravated with this whole process. They showed up to my house knowing that I had 18 vents to be clean. Why show up and tell me you don't have time to do the job. Something is just not right. I don't know if sears contracts out to other HVAC companies but if they do these guys are definetly not responsible. I did my part and confirmed and to this day I still do not have my vents cleaned. Now I don't know if I want to pursue getting them cleaned by what I thought is a reputable company. Please send this to upper management to call me to discuss a resolution!

Atlanta Air Experts Unprofessional, lack of integrity, poor customer service

We called Atlanta air experts to schedule someone to come out and inspect our two ac systems, and fix our condensate pump because water was leaking all over our basement. When the technician came in our house, he addressed my husband by saying "sup boss"; and later, after I had to show him how to work our thermostat, he said "word". If you are going to represent yourself as a professional, you should refrain from using slang to speak to your customers. I asked him what the inspection covers (since the valpac advertisement says it's a 30 point inspection), but he could only tell me three things that he was going to look at - freon levels, electrical stuff, and something else (I can't remember). So after he had to call someone, because he didn't know how to check the freon levels in our system, he said everything looked fine. I took him downstairs to the leaking pump so he could see what the problem was, and he replaced the pump. The next day I noticed it was still leaking. So the pump didn't need to be replaced after all because that wasn't the problem. The technician didn't take the time to see what the actual problem was, he just replaced the pump. It turns out that our pump was fine, it just needed to be slid back a little bit so that the drain pipe was at an angle for the water to drain down the pipe instead of on the floor. The technician should have seen that, if he knew what he was doing. When I called Atlanta air experts because they didn't fix our problem, the girl I talked to told us that we made an appointment to have our condensate pump replaced, and that's what they did. Implying that it was my fault because that's what I asked for. I told her that I expected them to look at it first and see what the problem was, I'm not the AC expert. She then said that it should have been ordered as a service call. Again, not my problem. I don't work for your company, so I don't know how it should have been ordered. I expect any professional to find out what the problem is before they try to fix it. After much arguing, over several days, they decided that they would refund us the money after I sent their pump back to them, and then they would send our pump back to us and then issue a refund. When I called to see if they would send us our pump first, so I didn't have water leaking all over my basement, I was told no. I asked the girl what I was supposed to do for a week, until I got my pump back (I didn't know if I could run the system without a pump, and was calling to get some information); but I guess the girl I talked to was less knowledgeable than I am about AC units; because she replied " I don't know, I guess you'll just have to turn your system off until you get your pump back". So I offered to drive out to Alpharetta to return their pump, and pick our old one up, but I was told I wasn't allowed to do that. My husband also called, to see where our pump was, since the technician took our perfectly good pump when he replaced it, and he was told, "its on a truck somewhere, and it's none of your business". The customer service has been horrible! Everyone we've talked to at Atlanta air experts to resolve our problem, has had an attitude. They are very unprofessional and their work ethic and integrity are questionable. The last time we spoke with someone, they just decided to refund our money and let us keep the pump that they installed because, "it wasn't worth their hassle". Once they got their money from the job, they were not willing to do ANYTHING to attempt to keep us as a customer. Two days after their technician came out and gave us a good report on our systems, our capacitor blew out. Coincidence? Needless to say, Atlanta air experts was the first company I thought NOT to call! I would never recommend them to anyone! Still waiting on the refund to post...

Atlanta Air Experts unauthorized charges

The employees for Atlanta Air Experts arrived at 1:57 pm (via text to us by Ms. Kathy) on Monday, 12/30/2013. Arrival time was much later than the initial time promised (8 am-10 am) per the confirmation e-mail and over the phone agreement.
Employees were immediately shown the check for $101.00 along with the coupon for the services, by the babysitter Ms. Kathy. Employees went to work; later an employee came downstairs and started to explain the condition of the vents and additional recommendations to Ms. Kathy. She told the employee to write down the recommendations and then called my husbands cell phone, so the employee could describe the situation to him.
The conversation between my husband and employee NEVER evolved into a conversation about additional charges for work being done that day. In fact, my husband was explicit in his explanation to the employee, that any additional work would need to be written down for the sole purpose of obtaining approval from the landlord (this was also mentioned to the employee by Ms. Kathy).
After work completed, employee showed Ms. Kathy the invoice - he pointed out work done and listed recommendations.
The total was $238, she told him she had no money to cover the charges over the $101 check I left for "the air experts"; she gave employee phone number to my husband. After a brief discussion with the employee, my husband called the office and questioned the additional charges since he NEVER approved any MORE services to be done. Therefore HOW can we be subjected to double the cost? Seriously?
Alas, Atlanta Air Experts is now trying to EXTORT this money from us by saying they will place a lien on the landlords home if we do not pay for the extra cost. We only anticipated work would be EXACTLY as agreed upon based on the coupon details (this was NOT an estimate of charges, but the EXACT dollar amount for services as described in the coupon)!
It is as if I brought my vehicle to a car dealer for an oil change; then the technicians take it upon themselves to change ALL the fluids in the vehicle and now expects you to pay!

I have submitted a complaint to the BBB
I' submitted a complaint to the Governors Office of Consumer Protection: consumer.ga.gov
I submitted a complaint to Professional Licensing Board: sos.ga.gov

Don't allow yourself to be a victim!

Atlanta Air Experts Poor Service

My family moved into a new home during the summer. We decided to have the air ducts cleaned because the house had be vacant for more than 6 months. We called Atlanta Air Experts to perform the service. According to the coupon they offered a Deep System Cleaning that included unlimited vents & returns, detailed furnance cleaning and full ducts sanitation. The service technicians tried to upsell and include an ultraviolent light that allegedly killed any foreign products in the HVAC unit. I refused this product. So the technician proceed to clean the HVAC return vents only. They did not remove the vent covers to clean the output vents. I called Atlanta Air Experts again. The same service technician came back to the house. I asked him to clean the output vents again. When he removed the covers to two output vents (one in the floor of the dining room and family room), we immediately saw dirt in the vents. The technician said they did not clean the output vents. However, the coupon for the Deep System Cleaning states "unlimited vents & returns". Three months later when I changed the air filters in the HVAC system, there were large clogs of lint on the air filter. I have called Atlanta Air Experts several times trying to get them to properly clean the output vents. To date, they have not followed up and cleaned the output vents.

You know what has to be cleaned and what is the right way? It is your house and your near & dear are going to live in your home. Then why don't you clean your home. No outsider can understand that.

Atlanta Air Experts I don't think this company has any repeat business

Called Air Duct Cleaning [protected] begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [protected] end_of_the_skype_highlighting) to have my air ducts, blower motor, and coils cleaned. Was quoted $49.99 with my coupon for the air ducts and $60 for the blower motor and coil. (Normally it is $120, but with the air duct cleaning it was 50% off). Once the Russian came out, he added up all of my vents and said the coupon only covered one main duct and one register. Apparently, I have three main ducts and two registers. It was an additional $55 for each main duct and $25 for the additional register, he agreed to do it for $160. When I asked about the blower and coil cleaning, he said he would look at it. He never did. Additionally, he used all three of my spare filters. If you have spare filters HIDE THEM! And they WILL dirty the one currently in there.

By the time he left the main office was closed. When I called the next day and spoke with the manager he said he could have his guy come back out and do it for $120. I told him about the filters, he offered me $90 for the job. I told him that was ridiculous and it shouldn't be any more than the originally quoted $60. He hung up on me. When I called back and asked if he normally hangs up on his customers, he said only if they yell at me or say something I don't like. After not getting anywhere with the guy, I told him I was going to file a complaint, and he hung up on me again.

Customer service is not great, I don't think this company has ANY repeat business.

Atlanta Air Experts large pay per click bill, little calls

The last three months I have had large pay per click bills with a reduced or no calls for weeks at a time. The click charges were only 59% to 75% of my budget last year but now with little or no phone calls the budget is exceeded each month now. The click report is of little use because you do not know who cliked on you.
