Aspen Dental teeth fillings

I went to have fillings done on Friday may 13th 2016 at the aspen dental office of Morristown! I was told these were the last ones to be done! After numbing I waited for at least 15 minutes or longer before they came back to start. This is all on my top front teeth! The dentist put wedges in between my teeth and done the work! I couldn't feel anything anything and assumed everything was great! But when I got to my job I had a lot of sensitivity and looked and seen that 2 of the teeth he worked on had chipped looked exactly like the little wedges he put between my teeth! I called immediately and got an appointment for May 16th but I got called into to work and they didn't call me to remind me like they normally do so I called explained it to them then I was put on hold where a woman named Kate talked to me! I explained to her what had happened and pretty much she said I was wrong and that he would have told me if he had chipped my teeth! Before my appointment I could floss all my teeth and had no pain but now I can't floss or do anything! Said I couldn't be seen until 3 weeks later while I have chipped teeth and in pain! Very mad and want my teeth fixed! I scheduled to see another dentist in my home town and go may 19, 2016! I hope that we can work something out cause I have literally paid aspen so much money and all u want is my teeth fixed

Aspen Dental customer care

I called the office in Tarentum, PA to have a copy of my X-rays printed. When I arrived at the office not only were my X-rays not printed, they refused to print them because they said it would take too much time, even though there was enough time to print the copies before closing. I told them I had an appointment after they had referred me to see a specialist. They told me I had to come back on Monday morning even though I repeatedly told them my appointment was for that day. The woman at the front counter was nasty and not helpful at all, and I am very unhappy with their services.

Aspen Dental dental work, dentures and personnel

I went to Aspen Dental to get a new partial and was told I needed to get all my teeth pulled and get upper and lower dentures. I followed the advise of the dentist and allowed the dentist to remove my teeth and got a temporary denture. I had to make multiple trips back to the dentist and was never satisfied with my temporary dentures. I never saw the dentist again after she pulled all my teeth. The assistants who I did see were not competent and could not resolve my complaints. The dentures I received never fit and they are not straight. I do not believe that all my teeth should have been pulled. I never had a problem with the partials I previously had. I believe the dentist wanted to make the maximum amount of money she could from me. I think she was more interested in making the most money she could and was not worried about my best interest.

Aspen Dental cleaning appointment

I scheduled an appointment with Aspen dental in lady lake six months ago for my six month. I have received a few cleanings their but it has been difficult to get 2 in per year.I feel it is important for healthy teeth to keep them on 2 per year cleanings. I received an email to confirm my april 28, 2pm appointment, then I received a phone call to confirm my april 28, 2pm appt on april 26 i was left a phone message that they would need to reschedule as 2pm was the office lunch hour
I returned the call and they informed me that they earliest they could get me in for a cleaning was Dec 5. at 2pm ( do you believe that) What I said, this is too far off to keep with good dental hygiene. So sorry they said that is the best they could do, )even though it was their error. we can add you to our wait list theysaid, i ask how long is the list she said well over 2 full pages YIKES. I suggested maybe they have a list just for patients that have been rescheduled due to ASPEN'S error or fault, her response, we can't due that mam that wouldn't be fair! Seriouslu, this is a very unorganized dental office, I'll find someone who wants payment for an easy 30-45 minute routine cleaning

Aspen Dental dental services

I will never do business with Aspen Dental. "Jason" the office guy is the most incompetent person I have ever dealt with. The dentist Dr. Park did nothing to make me feel confident in this establishment. I was given a dental plan that was $4, 000. I was told by "Jason" that my insurance wouldn't authorize the extractions for 6 months, and that I would have to break the work up into 2 visits 6 months apart. The first visit didn't include the filling I needed (which is the reason I called them in the first place). He said they would do it on the second visit. Because the dentist would want to do the extractions and fillings together. So now "Jason" knows more about what I need than the dentist? And now I'm supposed to wait 6 months to have a cavity fixed? On top of that I was given an invoice for the first of 2 visits of $1297 for extensive cleaning with my insurance covering $225. The patient responsibility was $1072. I asked "Jason" what percent my insurance covered and he replied 70%. I looked at him and said $225 is not 70% of $1297. He said he would have to call "IT" and see if there was an error. What does "IT" have to do with dental work? Right then I knew that this place was a bunch of scam artists trying to milk unsuspecting people from money they didn't need to spend. I cancelled my appointment and contacted Northeast Delta Dental (my insurance provider) and they verified that they would have paid 70% of the $1297.00 for the advanced cleaning. They recommended I contact the NH insurance commission to file a complaint, which I will do. I am sure they will be interested to see the invoice I was provided. I am also going to contact the ADA. I will also make sure everyone I know never sets foot in that awful excuse for a dental practice!

Aspen Dental dental "services"

Bad business alert! Do not go to aspen dental in cookeville. What a racket. I only made a late appt there because i started a new job and my regular dentist closes at 4. I have had issues with one tooth for months. My regular dentist had just put a temp crown on it and told me that if i had any more issues, it would just have to come out. So, i called aspen and told them my long history. The lady was really nice and verified my 5pm appt in about a week. Great! I wouldn't have to miss work! I specifically told her i needed an extraction and that i had insurance and could pay the difference. I wanted an appt sooner if they could get me in. She put me on hold a few times saying she was talking to the office manager about putting me on a wait list to get in sooner because i was in pain. She said i would be called if they could get me in. So, today i go in. They give me literally about 15 x-rays. I questioned that saying i really didn't need all that. Company policy! They say. All new xrays for new patients. O.K... Then i was taken back to the chair and a dentist looked at the xrays. I told her the temp crown had already popped off and that i could take it off. She said yes and looked at the tooth for about 3 seconds. She then told me to put the crown back on. Huh? I asked why because they were going to pull it. She said no they weren't. I said i made this appt for that reason and she left in a hurry. The office mgr came in and held out her hand. "let's go up front and discuss costs and scheduling." i asked why. I am at my appt to get my tooth fixed. Oh no...This was just a new patient appt. We argued. I said if i had to come back for another appt i may as well go to my regular dentist. She said she could pull the phone conversation when i made the appt. I called her bluff and asked her to pull it up right then and let's all listen to it because i was very specific about why i was coming. She said that was a call center and they don't have anything to do with it. I said they? It's you. Your company. She said they couldn't just schedule to pull a tooth because the person might have health issues or the root might be up in the sinuses. I asked isn't that why i filled out the health history and they took 14 x-rays? She said they weren't extracting it and that they already had someone in for an extraction. It was too late in the day. I told them they had better not send a bill for those uneeded xrays to my insurance. I left and said i would never go back. Here i am, tooth still in, in pain. Arg!
I should have heeded the horrible reviews but didn't see them until today. Unless you want to be out lots of money for multiple appts to take care of one issue and mutiple xrays for which they can charge your insurance, and you want to be lied to and strong-armed, then avoid aspen dental at all costs.

Aspen Dental dental services

Hi My name is Denise Novakovic, I unfortunately went to Aspen Dental on 3.10.15 to get a root canal done on a tooth The root canal was done so unprofessionally that it caused infection to go up into my jaw bone and eat away at my jaw bone. I had to go to metrohospital dental department in Cleveland, Ohio where they needed to do a bone graft to get my body to regrow the jawbone It caused excrutiaing pain and suffering. I needed to wait for 3 months for the bone graft to replace the jawbone so I could get a dental implant which took another 3 months to heal so I can get the crown done. It is almost nine months after I went to Aspen Dental and I am still waiting to get my crown because the tooth and implant needed to heal. The other tooth that they put a crown on without a root canal was done unprofessionally also. The sizing of the crown is completely incorrect, the fit is wrong, the alignment with the other teeth is wrong. I had to have the crown replaced. I needed to get a bridge to cover the space from the tooth because the dental implant didn't hold because of the damage caused by Aspen Dental. I would like to be compensated for the pain and suffering and additional dental expenses caused by their incompetency was incorrect. I can be reached at [protected] if you need further information. My address is 4105 Stary Dr, Parma, OH 44134 and my email address is [protected]@lycos.com.

Sincerely,

Denise M Novakovic

Aspen Dental dentist

If I can give this place a negative star I would. This place will charge you for anything & everything even if you do have insurance. I was given a "estimate" the first time I went. When I arrive a different day for the actual procedure they try to charge me for more than what I told them all I wanted done. When I left I paid for all what I supposed to pay and even got a statement showing my balance was $0. Then several weeks later got another bill from them saying I still owed them. They claim my insurance didn't cover it all, which they should know this beforehand. Beware they will charge you for anything! I will not be back. I have never had a problem with dental insurance before anywhere else.

Aspen Dental dental care & dental malpractice

My experience with Aspen Dental of Wilkes-Barre, PA was the absolute worst experience that I've ever had with any dentist or dental network.I literally almost died because of a misdiagnosed abscess tooth that was missed by one of their traveling dentist and one of their on-site dental assistants.

I ended up in the emergency room (ER) and then admitted into the hospital for days three days after a visit to Aspen Dental of Wilkes-Barre, PA. I ended up in the hospital due to an infection that spread throughout my body because of their negligence. I have 5 doctors from the Geisinger Health System of Northeastern and Central PA that are aware of this and are blaming the entire horrible situation on Aspen Dental and their staff. Aspen Dental of Wilkes-Barre PA also violated HIPAA laws while I was there.

Because of their lack of care, concern and ethics I was able to view and see another patient's personal information; including their full name, address, social security number and medications that they were taking. This all happened during the week of February 1, 2016.

Please, whatever you do, do NOT go to Aspen Dental. They will mistreat you from a medical standpoint, they will violate your privacy and you could potentially end up in the hospital fighting for your life due to their negligence and incompetence.

Aspen Dental billed for work that was not performed.

November of 2014 I visited Aspen Dental in Port Orange, Fl with the intent of having a "root canal" which was suggested by the dentist on a previous visit. At that time the dentist told me the tooth was "too bad" and a root canal could not be performed. I was told the alternative was to extract the tooth, or have a bridge placed in that area. I told the dentist I was unable to pay for a bridge and to extract the tooth. (I had already been approved by Dental First in the amount of $1059 for the procedure of the root canal.) The dentist insisted on the bridge and not extracting the tooth and would do the work for less than the $1059 and that I could pay monthly for 18 months to Dental First. Thus I agreed. When the work was complete, I was told the cost was $1004. I was relieved that I could save some money and agreed to the Dental First plan in the amount of $1004, However Aspen charged Dental First the estimated amount of $1059. I am not happy and refuse to pay for work that was not performed. I have argued and tried to get a resolution in this matter for months and Aspen insists that I had the extraction and the cost for everything is $1059. I have the paper work for proof, but they will not see things properly the way things should have been billed. What can I do? The difference is $56. To Aspen that is not a large amount, but to me, on Social Security where I watch every penny, it is a substantial amount. Please reply and help me straighten this matter out to my satisfaction. "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"...Is this not true. Must I go further in my complaint? Please advise..Thank you for your time. I would truly appreciate some resolution.

Aspen charged more for the procedure I had done than was due. As estimated amount for a different procedure was charged instead. I would not be happy to pay the difference which they are asking me to pay. I have tried without success to meet with them to resolve the matter, but have had no satisfaction...Please help me. I don't feel it is fair for me to pay for services that were not performed.

Update by Marie DeGayner

Aspen Dental did not bill me the amount agreed upon of $1004. I have the receipt for the work performed. Instead I was billed for an estimated amount for a different procedure. I have been unable to obtain any satisfaction or even any explanation. The amount for the service I received, that was sent to Dental First was $1059 which was the incorrect amount for the procedure. I have been faithfully paying monthly for 18 months for the $1004. Dental First says I owe the balance of $56 for the difference between the $1059 and $1004. I don't feel I should have to pay for a larger amount than was agreed. I have attempted without results to resolve this matter. I am at a loss as to what to do now. Aspen has not cooperated in resolving this situation. I am stressed and would not recommend Aspen to anyone.

Aspen Dental misdiagnosis and shoddy product

I visited Aspen Dental in February 2015. My intention was to be fitted for a partial upper denture. X-rays and exam were done at the first appointment. I was told I needed a complete cleaning and two teeth pulled before the denture could be done. I agreed to their treatment plan and scheduled another appointment. Second appointment, THREE teeth were pulled instead of two and impressions were done. Third appointment I was supposed to receive the partial upper denture. It did not fit. Their lab tech started to grind one of the "teeth" - and kept grinding - and still it did not fit. The dentist scheduled another appointment and said they needed to do more work on the denture so I could not take it home. Fourth appointment I returned and was given a partial that had been ground down so that there was a hole in it. It still did not fit, but I took it home to try to get used to it. Less than two weeks later, the denture broke. I called to make an appointment and was told they no longer had a lab tech - but they were probably getting one in a week. I called weekly for six weeks and they still did not have a tech. Finally, I went to the office without an appointment and asked to speak to the office manager. I showed him the broken denture with a hole in it. He showed it to the dentist, she looked at my record and said I would have to see a specialist - they were not able to fix my problem. Since she was the one who had been treating me from the beginning, I asked her why she didn't tell me this BEFORE she pulled three teeth and wasted my time with a denture that would never fit. I told the manager I could not pay for the specialist to fix the problem they started. I wrote to the Better Business Bureau after which Aspen agreed to pay the Prosthodontist. After his exam, his estimate was $6, 000. I had to pay for his initial exam - $350. The price he quoted did not include approximately $6000 in fees from other specialists I would have to see to get this done. (In addition, he called the Aspen office to speak directly with the dentist, and she is no longer there. He then asked for the office manager, and HE is no longer there.) These are costs Aspen has refused to pay. I cannot afford to pay $6000. This means I am minus three teeth. The total cost would have been $12, 000 for a partial denture. I could have gotten my teeth REPAIRED for that amount instead of pulled. They were so anxious to make a sale, if I hadn't complained, they would never have told me they couldn't fix my problem. I would like them to pay for the work necessary to take care of the partial denture.

Aspen Dental upcharging of services

Aspen dental is the major Solstice Dental Plan carrier. Solstice provides a fee schedule with everything spelled out in costs. It all seems fair and straight ahead. The problem is that Aspen Dental says that you need all the most expensive procedures and refers you to out of network providers at higher costs. For example, I had an abscessed bicuspid and needed a root canal--Solstice says $390 for root canal. I was instead referred out and they wanted $998 for a root canal with Solstice. They then said I needed a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. Cost is free with regular and $400 after Solstice. My gums are not bleeding and I floss every day. Solstice Dental Plans when using Aspen Dental are useless as they work together to crank as much money as they possibly can from the patient. I ended up having to have the tooth pulled---Solstice says it will cost $70, it cost me $120 after I talked them down from $140. These two companies are in collusion to take your money. Be smart and invest it elsewhere.

I feel your pain. My husband was one of those patients as well. Went in to have a tooth pulled and they would NOT agree to do it unless he had $5000 dollars of treatment done prior ! Then when one of my partials broke by eating an egg salad sandwich, they would not fix under their "so-called " guarantee ! A set of full partials are advertised for $399 but wanted $100 to fix a small partial. Walked out, NOT going back !

Aspen Dental dental checkup!

As a senior citizen (67), I scheduled an appointment for Monday 2/15/16 at 5:30 PM (after work) for a checkup! X-rays, checkup, and recommendations were given to evaluate. Recommendations included (4) surface fillings, perio therapy (gum and teeth cleaning), and upper and lower dentures. Total cost of $3736.00 on one consultation worksheet. I had to ask the office/business manager for a complete breakdown of the total costs. I requested to get the surface fillings done and would think about the other recommendations and was told I had to pay for the fillings up front before it would be done. I responded by stating I always pay for dental work at time of service. I have an auto at Veridian Credit Union and no missed payments on credit. Time to look for a new dentist!

Aspen Dental unnecessary procedure

On 01.27.2016 my father went to that shoddy place that has the nerve to call themselves a dental clinical. They lied to him about needing to have teeth pulled that in-fact t could have been saved. He was told that a filling had fallen out and that the tooth had chipped and was not able to be saved. A complete lie, he could have had a root canal done and a crown placed on it. Instead they take advantage of an unknowingly g senior citizen, and a disable led Vet at that. These charlatans need to be shut down for good. Now he has to struggle with these ill-fitting tooth replacements. I am so disgusted with this place, it makes my stomach turn. I told him not to pay them a penalty to make up for all the lies and discomfort that they inflicted upon him.

Aspen Dental services

I went to Aspen Dental in Peoria, IL. for top dentures a year ago 2014. And today they still fall out! I had one problem after another to begin with . I would never go back there again! They did not fit properly right away, and were relined and ground on with many visits. One dentist there even remade them... Every time I went I had a different dentist that had to fix something on them from the last dentist. Problem after problem...When I chewed they fell out, I had blisters, I could even pull them out with my tongue. They relined them at least 6 times, then it was too much relining and were so high in my mouth. I felt this way and kept going back for over a year. Eventually The warranty was off so Last week I made an appointment with another dentist. He said my denture should have suction and mine does not, made badly and aren't even touching my bottom teeth correctly! He can not fix them so I have to start all over.. Hoping my insurance will help now! I would never recommend Aspen dental to anyone!

Aspen Dental dental service

I called Aspen Dental for my bi-annual cleaning appointment. The day of the appointment I went in and was supposed to receive antibiotics because I have 2 knee replacements. The dentist told me the ruling changed in 2015 but still gave them to me. 2nd: I had a panoramic x-ray in addition to many bitewings. During all this I asked the xray technician how much all this is going to cost. She did tell me it is free. When I called to make my cleaning appointment the rep told me cleanings start at $91.00. I do not have dental insurance so I was fine with that. I thought ok, x-rays are included. They placed me in a chair and I waited until a foreign dentist came in. He asked me if I have any bleeding and I said no. He poked around and said I do have bleeding along with pyorrhea. I thought hardly as I get me teeth cleaned every 6 months. He told me I had pyorrhea after he tested the depths of my pockets which were all 2 and 3. I don't think he realized I knew what he was testing. The dentist left and a man came in and told me to come to a different room. Ok, I am now going to get my teeth cleaned. No--he took me to a desk and told me the pyorrhea treatment is $662. I flipped. I said what about my teeth cleaning? Well, there is no hygienist on today. Tell me this isn't a racket? How many seniors in Venice Florida have they taken advantage of? How do I know this? I am a retired dental assistant. This is the poorest example of professionalism EVER. Kay Kibbel Venice Florida

Aspen Dental new patient examination

I'd luckily been warned by a friend about going to Aspen, and after my new patient exam the warning turned out absolutely correct. The good - the staff were friendly, competent and quick at their jobs. If it weren't for the bad side I'd be happy to be a regular patient there. The bad - Aspen is a sales mill. They're car dealership sneaky. My friend warned me that they would try to slip in charges. Here's how it goes. The friendly dentist and assistants give you a free exam and tell you that when you come back for a cleaning, you'll "take home an electric toothbrush, special toothpaste and rinse". They avoid saying that it costs extra. They put a screen in front of your chair so you can see your x-rays, but also so you can see any alarming things about your teeth being typed in to help upsell the products. Then you wait, half an hour in my case, for the office manager to schedule your appointment and sign your bill. This is where it gets car dealership. (Watch the small similarities - a professionally dressed person takes you to an isolated office full of "relax-triggers", thank you cards from satisfied customers, photos of the salesperson's family that face only towards the customer, not the salesperson. This office had the thank you cards.) First, I was shown only the total of the charges and was asked to sign and if I wanted to put anything down. I asked how much the toothbrush was that the assistant had mentioned. She said $150. I was expecting this from my friend's warning and asked to have it removed. She agreed easily, then tore the overview bill in half with a barely concealed look of irritation. It's an unsubtle tactic designed to put the patient off of asking to have the bill changed again. I asked for an itemized bill, and watched her carefully tell me I had to sign first before she could print it, which is preposterous. Trying to lock you in before you can see the charges, right? Her computer screen is kept turned away just enough so you can't see what's being done. I hadn't given my credit card and already said I wouldn't pay until the actual cleaning, so I figured sure, why not. I signed, looked over the bill, and spotted the $30 stannous rinse (mouthwash) and $29 neutral sodium gel (toothpaste). Also, they'd showed me the same pamphlet twice about oral cancer screenings but never asked if I wanted it - sure enough, $70 oral cancer screening on the bill. I also noted that the toothbrush and rinse come entirely out of Patient Responsibility, not insurance. At this point I knew I'd never be coming back so I said nothing and left. In short, insist on seeing your bill before you sign or give any payment, because they will try hard to sneak about $279 of unnecessary extras into your upfront payment. Or go to another dentist.

Aspen Dental appointment

My insurance advised me to get a dental checkup of which for a $15.00 copay, I was to receive cleaning, x-rays, and a check-up. So I made an appointment with Aspen Dental, who I was told(by Aspen Dental)that they accepted my insurance. When I made the appointment and when I checked in at their office, I stated that I wanted the cleaning, x-rays & check-up offered by my insurance. I was taken to a room and a lady took x-rays. Then taken to another room where after a period of time a man (suppose to be the dentist) came in and said I would need to have my teeth out & dentures! A lady said I was done and when I asked about the cleaning, she said they were not doing it! Then I was taken to an office where a lady informed me it would be over $8000.00 for the dentures! I left that office! I went to another dentist to see what he would say about my teeth. They cleaned my teeth, took x-rays, examined my teeth and fixed 2 small cavities. When I asked them about being advised that I needed dentures, the dentist said that was the craziest thing he ever hear of and the was no way I needed dentures. Now I just got a bill from Aspen Dental stated I owed them $330.00!
