How responsive is Ashley Madison's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Ashley Madison handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Ashley Madison and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Ashley Madison defamation of character

A person has created an account as Tarnee Louise and is identifying themselves as me. I am in Townsville, QLD, Australia and am consistently getting fb messages saying that they spoke to me on Ashley Madison. I do not own an account. I am single and do not believe in dating men in relationships. This is now impacting on my career as my personal information is now being provided by this person on this site using my idefintifyer (Tarnee Louise). I have exhausted my efforts trying to get this account taken down and of action is not taken, I may have to take this further with the authorities.

Ashley Madison Ridiculous

This website is a huge rip-off and nothing else.
They want money all the time and soon you will realize you paid too much for sending messages.
Because their quantity is limited, all you can do to get more of them is to pay more.
I was shocked when they asked for more money after I sent 20 messages only.
I didn't pay and now I have no opportunity to talk to anyone who wrote to me. Oh well, it's crazy to pay for something you can get for free.

Ashley Madison Fraud

This is a fraud from the very beginning to the end. Being a man who wants to find love is very tough. Why? Well, they want too much money each time you'd like to speak to a woman. You can't even see all of their photos. Want to see more? Pay the money and watch. Why would I ay for this? Why is it not for free? Your website is not that good enough and not so popular to make me pay for simple things that have to be free. Sorry, guys, but you will waste your time and money only and won't find your love.

Ashley Madison scam emails

I was contacted again by a scam email, she wanted money, I refused and she reported me to you saying I done something, it's unbelievable if you attempt to find me, you have charged me around £400 and I only joined last week. Its disgusting, your whole site is a complete scam with all fake profiles. This seems to be the way, a woman can demand money and obviously I am going to refuse as it's illegal, you are promoting prostitution and I want a full refund and this profile shut down. I have been a member maybe 2 days and it's a complete scam, I don't even expect a reply because it's obviously a complete rip off.

Ashley Madison hi someone found my password. changed my profile and used my card

Hi.

I am the second month with a shot Madison and someone stole my password. Changed my profile and used my credit card. Please cancel my account and I want my money back.

Some one loved in my account changed my profile information and used my card.
Can you please refund my card if there were more than 2 purchased of 200 points which I did. Did not buy more but think that they used my card. Since I did not have more points and suddenly I have 5 points.

I changed my password to a strong one and hope it will not happen again.

Regards,

Ofir

Ashley Madison payment options

Hi, i tried to upgrade my membership with a prepaid credit card yesterday, June 25th, but the fee exceeded the value of the $150 card by a few dollars. Is there any way to split the transaction, and use a second card to complete the purchase? Ashley Madison it's a fraud! stay away!

When I joined AshleyMadison website I immediately received several messages from local women. I could not read those, so I subscribed and became a member. When I checked their profiles, I discovered that these women were from all over the state! When you join the site it automatically sends you fake emails. It is a scam. They want you to subscribe. Also, majority of people on AshleyMadison are fake. Not one of the women that was interested in me ever reply to my messages! I contacted their customer service and asked for a refund. At first they tried to stop me, but I was quite pushy, so in the end they gave my money back and I deleted my account.

Ashley Madison scam

Do not use this site, AshleyMadison is a real scam. I tried to find a nice girl there, but only later I realized that 99% of the female profiles are fake. They are also going to send you tons of messages in order to get some money from you. You need to pay money for almost everything. Even reading and sending emails costs something. These fake women send you messages every day, they say how much they love you, but that is only a trap. Their main goal is to deplete your account. I was really hoping that there are real people on this website, because almost every online dating service is a scam. But, unfortunately, AshleyMadison turned out to be a scam as well.

Um, you tried to find a "nice girl" on Ashley Madison? Nice girls don't go to websites that specialize in affairs.

Ashley Madison harassment

I am sick and tired of getting emails multiple times a day every single day from this site. It's always different though. Says 18 and abused raw but its wanting you to sign up for a affair. These kind of emails I'm sure causes problems in already established relationships. I have reported this company before and they even contracted me back and said it'll stop after 10 business days, its been over 10 days now. I'm tired of getting sexual emails from this panama location. This company or whatever they are have no way for you to opt out because it says you have already unsubscribed. I will contact a lawyer if this doesn't stop. I've never signed up for online dating, I don't want to have a affair. It's disgusting and honestly at this point it's beyond harassment. Please make them stop or shut them down. What if this was a child's phone? People don't think about that. It's ok for children to get sexually explicit contex in everyday emails now?! I have a major problem with this and it makes people want to cut them selves out of the whole Internet world, unfortunately this world can't work without technology even though the world went round years back without all this technology. It's sick and I want it to stop. I don't take the time to contact people and report abuse to keep getting these emails.

Ashley Madison false pretense

Felt I was mis lead to believe that once I registered and paid my entry fee I would have total access to the website, however after paying initial fees I find out to continue I have to then buy additional credits to gain access to anything else. Called phone number provided and stayed on hold over 2 hours, left messages that were never returned, attempted numerous calls to company with no results.

Ashley Madison - Scam: have an affair guarantee... Guarantees you'll be caught

AshleyMadison.com runs a big scam. I purchased their $250 "Have an Affair" Guarantee package thinking I was going to really meet some amazing women, but instead, I started to receive a lot of spam from escorts and prostitutes, and also from their female (who really knows?) staff members acting as hostesses. If their guarantee is that I will get laid by...

Ashley Madison - Suspended accounts

I have found AM quite good for contacting men (I am real, and young, and attractive, and I’m not a hooker) EXCEPT that AM randomly suspends my account – i can be in mid-conversation with someone, fixing up a date, and suddenly my account is suspended. I’ve no idea why, and when I email AM they won’t tell me why, so I suspect its some pimply-faced support...

Ashley Madison stay far away from ashleymadison.com

Here's my experience using AshleyMadison.com: I can't say if it's a scam or not, with the employee-posted profiles you find on sites like xxxmatch.com, but here's what I've found after using the site for a couple months:

--They have HUGE turnover on the site, at least for women. I've noted many New members I've added to my Favorites who then don't return to the site ever.
--I've gotten only a 50% rate of Priority mails being confirmed Opened. That means half the mail I sent was never even opened, according to the site itself. No replies to any of the ones opened, but maybe my pitch was off!
--I've communicated with a few women on the site after getting a nudge from them (added to their Favorites), but no successful hook-up yet. Profiles with pictures get the best response.
--The women I've talked to (and a couple honest profiles I saw) indicate that women on the site get a LOT of email from men. I've heard rumors of successful hook-ups, and some of the reviews seem to indicate as much as well, but it hasn't happened for me yet!
--I honestly listed my age at 47 and numbers indicate a more common cut-off for women searching for an affair is 45. (I don't mind, I look 40.)

Overall I'd say if you're gonna try the site go for their Money-Back deal. It's the most expensive membership, but if you follow the rules of the deal (you have to send like 18 emails in two weeks or something like that), the numbers should work against the company. A lot of the emails you send will never even be opened. Just keep track of it.

I cannot vouch for the company giving the refunds they claim to, this is just my experience with the site. Had a couple fish on the line but nothing landed yet! Questionable ROI.

Ashley Madison fraudulent profiles

Well, like quite a few guys- I was sucked into it. After joining out of curiosity, I kept receiving "winks", or collect messages from other "members". Well, after writing a few- and no responses, I googled a few of the names of the supposed women messaging me. Well, a site called sktsktmarketing popped up. It was supposed to be private and password protected, however using Googles cached option, I was able to find not only one supposed user from ashley madison, however I was able to find at least 10.. They were under "cougar names", meaning they they are assorted by type.. I'm sure this service provides to any pay-dating website.

Now here is the deal, this company (sktsktmarketing) basically astroturfs, or pays people (male or female), to create interest on a website by commenting, writing testimonials, or in ashley madison's case- write/wink to users to pique their interests.. This is highly illegal, and has been deemed as such by the FTC..

I'm afraid Ashley Madison has been getting away with murder this whole time, due to the fact they know they have these cheating husbands between a rock and a hard place.. They are worried that if they ruffle feathers, they will be exposed as cheaters. Well, I'm single and don't mind lodging a formal complaint.. And I hope many other people follow suit either anonymously or not- by complaining to the FTC, and expose these fraudsters..

After seeing one of the much hyped Ashley Madison ads on TV and an interview with their CEO, Noel Biderman, I signed up out of curiosity. Like so many other guys I've since read about, I was pleasantly surprised to be immediately contacted by a likely sounding local lady and enticed into buying one of their exorbitant credit packages in order to speak to her. After she'd ensured I'd all but used up my credits in conversation with her, she went silent.

I now know that she was probably a fake, sat in their offices in Canada thousands of miles away from me, employed by AM to reel in suckers like me. They even as much as admit to the practice in miniscule print in their Terms & Conditions where these ladies are described as 'online hosts' who are engaged in 'marketing activity'. They also automatically re-bill you unless you go through a deliberately difficult and convoluted process to extricate yourself from their clutches.

So my question is, what's the difference between Ashley Madison’s nefarious ‘marketing activity’ and a Nigerian scamming operation? The answer - not a lot! As in the African scams, the sole purpose of these online hosts is to persuade men to spend their money by pretending to be something and someone they're not.

Of course Ashley Madison calculate that no-one will run squealing to the authorities or law courts because of the illicit nature of the site's activity. Some might say 'it serves you right'. Certainly I should have been alerted by the fact that the majority of 'women' on the site have publicly viewable photos. It is now obvious to me that any real ladies on an affairs/adultery dating site would not post a picture of themselves for all to view.

The Ashley Madison operation is little more than a slick and convincing swindle to part men with their money. The chances of actually meeting a real woman with whom you might actually conduct an affair are about as remote as the hair growing back on their CEO's balding head!

Ashley Madison discrimination

Now i have been on ashley madison a so called popular website for people who are married that want to have affairs. now i was accused of something . that was not true. mind you have no criminal record. live a clean life. etc. the so called Boss of this establishment. and customer service are very rude and nasty towards women. I complained to the president of the company whom allows his customer service people to behave in a manner as they choose. i have sent emails no one called me back. the suspended my account. for no reason. because i let the customer service maryjane oliver. know she cannot talk to me as she chose it was not professional. now i have got emails from men soliciting me. and angry because i refuse to give them the time of day. you have people putting up phony profiles then find out they are telemarketers yes. do they delete their accounts? NO!. I feel they are being discriminatory or people of color particulary african americans who date interacially. which is what i prefer which some people have a problem with. that's their crybaby, not mine. I have a right. i have been insulted by some of the clients because i choose to date interacially . I have spoken to Mr. Biderman the president of this company. he did reinstate my account once now all of a sudden its suspended again. for no reason no one showed me ocular proof or discussed why. i never voilated any terms never. I told the company if someone reported me falsely. thats hearsay. i have not said anything in any email that offended or voilated anyone if anything i have been. i been sent nude shots which i did not ask for. how they get pass customer service whom claim thats a vioilation. if you do not ask for a key which i have not. they can talk to women any way they want. yes you have options to block. but they have so many alias it's a shame. but somehow since i filed a complaint i have been her target personally and no one is stepping up to the plate why? whos the hyprocrit.. teaching married men to have affairs on there wives ? huh. and second have the nerve to delete someone profile. if anythng it's a violation for them to okay infidelity. now who is the vampire here? I ask? bloood sucking dating sites that should be put out of business. anyway.no one is putting a gun to someones head. but wy encourage. where are your so called morals ashley madison. false accusations? give me a break.

Cann, your are so right! The spread of disease has increased since the development of these web sites. Whereas years ago you might see someone have an affair with one person, these sites make it possible to go from one to the other. Many having so many sex partners they can't keep count. A good article on the Ethicsscoreboard goes into how one girl slept with over 14 married men. And how many have they slept with? Than they bring it home to their unsuspecting spouse. That is how disease is spread...the guy above must be a total idiot.

AM is a scam. Many of the postings are questionable. I had a pop up window that I thought I was rejecting, but got my CC charged for $259 for 1000 credits. AM would not respond to me in any way, A phone call to customer service resulted in me being cut off as soon as I raised the question. I can afford the money, I will not have to worry about paying the rent or anything. As soon as I got the 100 credits I got contacted by several women out of nowhere, and that too got nowhere. There is a good case for AM manipulating their clients to stay on the site and give them money. I recommend you not use a CC. I cancelled my CC after the incident above.

Ashley Madison worked for me, and is still working. Don't be an idiot, come off as desperate or pathetic, and don't treat the women like [censored]s, and it may work for you. There are clearly fake profiles, but as long as you pay attention you can spot them, and avoid falling into the traps. In fact, there is a menu setting which prevents them from contacting you. I have been on for 2-3 months, and have met several attractive, fit, and nice women who were very happy to meet a guy who wasn't an idiot or pig. Be patient, write a respectful, and detailed profile, post a picture, and don't assume you will get laid the day you sign up. On the other hand, keep doing what you're doing, because you knuckedraggers are making me look like like a superstar.

Ashley Madison is the worst site ever! I had an account there for some time now. I tried to upload a abstract picture to have as a profile pic. I guess some how they got so offended that they deleted my account. Still had them stupid credits left too. They didnt even give me the courtesy of an email, just hit the delete button! All over a innocent abstract picture. There such a horrible site, no customer satisfaction what so ever. All they care about is "give us your money" and who cares about the quality of the site. Fake profiles every where, yet they delete a REAL PERSON!? What gives? Ashley Madison is a pipe dream, the site is set up so horribly you cant even give feed back to bad or fake members. So how are you to weed out hundreds of fake profiles? They dont care, just send your money and shut up, is the attitude you get from them. Funny thing is, im glad they deleted my account. Life is short, save your money!

Do Not Feed The Trolls. You see "cann" is a troll, "a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion"

I have been an Ashley Madison user for several years. I believe the site is vastly different today than it was five years ago. Five years ago I was able to find affairs. I must've had about five or six affairs through Ashley Madison. And things seem to change. The price for joining increased drastically and I seemed to be getting less and less responses. I started getting a lot of collect responses which required me to use my points. When my points were all used up, the collect responses seem to increase. I paid it no mind originally because of my initial success with the site. A couple years ago I stop responding to the collect responses. Then in a strange thing started to happen. I would get responses and would have to use my points to initiate conversations. I would always immediately send them to a private e-mail address. And for the most part I would never hear from them again. About a year ago I started getting responses that would go so far as to set up an initial date. Of those that set up an initial date, half would not show up. I eventually had three of these dates to show up for a meeting in a public place. The meetings went very well. They were light and lively and seem to be heading in the right direction. However within 24 hours I would receive the dreaded " we don't have a connection" e-mail.

I no longer believe that there are women on the site that are actually looking for affairs. There may be but none of them seem to be interested in me anymore. But I believe that the actual evolution of the site has been to become a fee generator from horny men than an actual clearinghouse for relationships. I believe the women are being paid to get guys to use up their credits and buy more. This is very sad. I don't see any validation or justification for my actions. I have my reasons and initially found many women who also had the same reasons for seeking relationships through such a site. But I know that there are still women out there who have the same needs but they are being crowded out of sites like Ashley Madison by the fee generators in my opinion. I no longer respond to collect responders. As soon as I use up all of the points I have now I will not buy any more. There may be a chance in the last 15 and 20 times I have available to use my points I may find someone again however the odds are against it. Ashley Madison was once a very good idea. It has succumbed to commercial pressures which leaves us who are legitimately seeking relationships to find someplace else to go. Farewell Ashley Madison. I appreciate what you did five years ago but the idea has now become corrupted and I doubt there exists a site that does what you did initially anymore.

To the woman who was on ashley madison and got accused. My husband says ashley madison website fishes for information and set up an account on his behalf without his knowledge. The account is not active but he swears that the account was not created by himself. The account has is name, height, weight, says hes a lonely daddy, and thats it. Would anyone believe this story he is telling me? Do they fish for info? I have been on the internet for over fifteen years and I have never had my information added to an account. Granted spam yes, but not accounts created. Anyone?

My account was suspended for no reason at all. With all the complaints and missed connections I think someone should open a page or site specifically for all the missed connections that get ruined by AM suspending sites!;
