JC Penney salon

I have worked for JCPenney at 3 locations. Two in NY and this one in St. Petersburg Fl at Tyrone Mall. I resigned on Sunday, July 29, 2919 because of poor management. The receptionist "Jackie" has run off several good stylists. She does not distribute walk-ins fairly, nor to those whom she does not care for (me being one of her least favorite since day 1.) She is RUDE, ABRUPT, and SARCASTIC.

She again failed to give me any clients on Saturday and never schedules any call ins with me. I got one appointment who booked themselves on line and I was finished with her I then took 50 fliers and solicited 2 more clients to come in that day for hair cuts. In the mean time, she gave several walk ins to the lazy stylists who do not feel they need to contribute. Near the end of my shift I told the manager, Dyane I needed to talk to her. She did not take the time to find out what I wanted. Sunday morning I looked to see the schedule to find that that "Jackie" again put the new client in with the other stylist. This stylist also had another appointment for the same time. I had none - that was the final straw. My routine was to go in, check the color stock, restock the shelves, do laundry, check the shampoo bar and marry the bottles, then if not busy go out and solicit clients. I have brought in a number of clients on my own this way. Several of the laziest employees do nothing but sit and play on their cell phones waiting for a walk in. Apparently, my service was not appreciated. I did not sign up to work for $8.64 an hour without an occasional walk in assigned. The manager also services several clients of and her own and schedules them under the lazy peoples names making it appear they have more clients than they do. It's a shame. I love being a stylist and I love JCPenney but this is no way to run a business.

JC Penney employee needs customer service education

I picked up an order this afternoon (7/28/2019) for my daughter. I wasn't sure if my daughter used her phone number or mine. Unsure which number to give. While I pulled my phone out she walked away to hunt something for another customer. She gets the order and I tell her I need another pair just like them where would I find them. She pointed to another area and said over there if we have any. She had just helped another customer. I got the shorts and returned to pay and asked if there were any coupons I could use? She said I don't know you'll have to look it up online. I told her not to knock herself out. Sorry customer service! I regret I didn't get her name but One of 3 black ladies working at the checkout close to the shoes. The other 2 ladies were nice.

JC Penney plat 1/3 ct tw rg set

I purchased a platinum 1/3 carot diomond wedding ring set on 5/23/19. I purchased the Lifetime protection plan. I was advised by the customer service rep Associate#0485 that buying platinum is better than silver due to oxidation since we live so close to the Gulf. I was interested in a larger diomond in silver but she said the platinum is better. I was so happy. I had the ring sized and received the ring on June 10th with no box just right out of the baggy. Not a big deal because I just slipped it on my finger. My husband and I shortly after that decided to get a divorce. I called up the store and asked if I could return the ring. She said since it was sized I cannot. Ok, I brought the ring to Bellaire Gold and Diamond store who looked at the ring and said this is not platinum. I was shocked! I was sold a platinum ring. Really! They showed me with the the eye viewer that it says platineer which is 5% platinum and 95% silver. You can't see this with the naked eye nor did I get a box or tag on the ring because it was sized. I was informed the ring is worthless and they wouldn't even buy it off of me. I paid 547.70 dollars for a useless ring that I can't even pawn because it has NO value. I called the store#1939 and spoke with the [censored]. manager that said I can't return the ring due to it being sized. I explained everything to him and he said they don't sell platinum just platineer. I said I was not informed of this. He said let me check the box. He said it was on the box. I said I never had the box it was taken right out of the display. He said it was on the tag. I didn't see the tag because it was taken off when it was sized. He said he can do an exchange but no refund. Why on earth would I ever buy from JCpenney again after I was bamboozled into buying a fake ring? I want my money back. He said no because it was sized. I told him I will be contacting corporate, I will be contacting the better business bureau, posting this on social media and I am inclined to contact my local news station that customer's are being sold fake jewlery. Now I am out 547.70 for a ring that I can't even pawn. I am so angry. My phone number is [protected].

JC Penney online access

A couple of hundred thousand Americans live in Europe but still have residences and family in the States...We used to go online, make a purchase in USDs and have merchandise shipped to the US address...you have blocked us...WHY? We now shop Macy's, Dillard's, Kohl's because you have a narrow minded sense of how to handle fraud issues...many of us have shopped online with you for years and in the recent year, you have changed access for us...I for one would like you to reconsider your decision that prevents us from ordering on line and shipping to the US...Thank you.

JC Penney payment not received for of return of king mattress and foundation

I have been trying to get my refund from JC Penny since August, 2018 and all I have gotten is the royal runaround because they can't find the order no.. I have sent them the copy of the invoice, transaction number and tags from the merchandise Spoke with a lady (Lori Hardy) in furniture support plus every person at that 800-322-1189, which gets you nowhere. I was told to file a dispute with Synchrony Bank, did that the bank said that its JC Penny's problem but they would get back to me have heard a word as of today July 20, 2019, so I am filing a lawsuit against them for my refund. I have a stack of complaints against JC Penny and I can see why they are in financial trouble with poor service and rude clerks not counting poor merchandise.
I have been a customer of JC Penny for over 30 yrs. am appalled at the poor service.

JC Penney jewelry repair

At the begining of june we brought my engagement ring into jcpenny to have a stone replaced and to have it cleaned and polished before our wedding in August. 4 weeks later we get the ring back and when they cleaned my ring the took off all the rose gold plating and they cracked my band in 2 spots, with one of those spots being all the broken that i could pull it apart. So we threw a fit and they sent it back rushed to fix it, 2 weeks later we get a call and its back my soon to be husband went and picked it up and they sort of fixed the band they fused the bad crack but you can see where the cracks were and they didnt do the rose gold plating correctly it was spotty and what they did do you can rub right off i have cried now a few times because it is now to late to send it back to have it replated, so i have a ring that looks absolutely horrible now i will never buy any jewelry from jcpenny again

JC Penney neon green one-piece bathing suit

I bought a neon green one piece swimsuit only a week or two ago. I was on vacation and I washed the suit and wore it one time. It faded and the bright color I loved about it is now a normal light green. I paid over $40 for this suit because it was on sale. I am deeply upset about this. I have another suit of your companies that I bought years ago that is the same color and it is still bright. For the amount I paid for the suit it should last more than one wear.

JC Penney workers

All employees aren't paid correctly!
New hires are paid more than some of the employees that have been there over a year, they are making $8.60. and the new hires $9.00. Not quite fair for the employee that have been there longer and then hear about it and get upset and and think well I wish I was making that much or JC Penney's needs to be raising my wage to the same if not higher ! .
New hires are getting more shifts than employees that have been there longer.

JC Penney online order

Placed on order for 2 items, both gifts. Both were supposed to arrive at the store by 7/12 at the very latest. One did arrive that day; one did not. I had to do some rush shopping to replace the one that didn't arrive, since it was needed as a gift the next day. Almost a week later now and I still haven't heard anything about the 2nd item. Fearing that I'd be charged for something I didn't receive, I called their CS line to cancel the unreceived item. I was told they couldn't cancel it on the phone and I'll have to go in to the store. This is horrible customer service. Deplorable. Makes me not want to shop at Penney's at all anymore; even in the store!

JC Penney cancelled order

I placed an order on June 28, 2019. I paid with a $300 gift card and PayPal. A couple days after I was expecting my order and still hadn't received any of the items I checked the order status. The order had been cancelled by JCPenny. I called to inquire as to why this happened and they had no answer. I asked about them refunding the purchaser of the card and they said yes. Now they won't and the purchaser is out $300. I will never do business with this company again. When I called the number they gave me after numerous emails I got the most ignorant customer service person I've spoken to in my lifetime. It only made me angrier.

JC Penney salon

7/11/19, I went in on 7/3/19 to get a carmelazation on my hair, which is low and high lights. Not only did she not add any blonde, but she tried to charge with me a haircut, I didn't ask for plus a glow and seal thing. I didn't ask for.. I told her she didn't add hardly any almost no blonde she told me my hair would lighten up then and wanted me to call her cell but I lost her card so I had to go through the customer service and then made another appointment well when I was there not only was she super late, over twenty minutes, but she got made because they added me to the schedule and over processed my hair. My hair is WHITE, the ends are destroyed.. She has completely ruined my hair. For such a professional company, I am so upset with the service. Then they had no manager or supervisor I could talk too! She told me the manager would call me when she could because she is off now?!?! She offered to tone it down but she has already completely destroyed my hair.. I am going to the news, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, google, BBB. etc. I have picture to prove.

JC Penney signs in store with d_n girl on them

I have shopped at JC Penny for many years. Have a Gold Cridit card. I was appauled when I was in the store in Eastgate OH at the Eastgate Mall location when my 6 year old grandson ( who is learning to read) starts reading the huge sign in the Saphora window. Then seeing them placed all over the floor in the rest of the store.
"D____n Girl"

This is NOT appropriate language to be used in public. If the signed aren't down when I go back to the store I will take action. I will not shop at JC Penny's and will cancel my creidt card there, I have principles and I will stand up for what I believe. This is COMPLELY INAPPROPRIATE.

The sloppy advertising that you pointed out is something that I've also noticed. It's meant to appeal to the lower mentalities and it's becoming increasingly widespread. One of the comments that was left here in response to your post is the kind of mentality that I'm talking about: He left an obscenity and then made a futile attempt to sound clever. This is what is going on in the world today and I've often joked with my friends that very soon the ads at the stores and even on television will be filled with 4-letter words. I do think that an issue needs to be made of this. Perhaps articles need to be written because the corporations will do all they can to bring in business, even if that means doing their best to appeal to the lower classes of society, which is what that "D___ Girl" ad was meant to do. This is really part of a much broader issue and the other comment left here (an obscene one) is representative of that issue, that is, societal degeneration. More people need to address this matter both here and everywhere possible ...

JC Penney stafford heavy weight crew t shirt

I have been buying the same t shirts for over 25 years. In the past 5 years the neckline of the shirts is way too high. ( like a mini turtle neck) I am constantly hoping for the best when I purchase new ones but get the same result. I wash and dry them before wearing hoping they will shrink to fit better but now I have at least ten shirts that I can't wear due to the awkward neckline. What has changed over the years? I have spent too much money on shirts I will not wear

JC Penney hook

I purchased I believe it was March, Customed made shades for 2 windows and one oversized shade for a sliding patio door. This did not include the 3 shades for my dining room. I was promised a free hook to close the window shades in the living room as they cannot be reached by hand due to window height. It did not come with my order as promised. I emailed Denise Joseph and she assured me it would arrive within a week. A month later I emailed her again as hook never arrived. Was told there was a mixup and it was on its way. It is now Four months later and still no hook and she has not responded to email. I have to stand on chair to reach top of shades. At going on 74 I'm sure this isn't particularly safe for me. If I do not receive the hook after this email I will definitely not order anymore blinds or shades from Penny's. For what I spent I expect J.C. Penny to honor their promises.

JC Penney trim at jcpenney salon

First of all I want to star off by saying I waited to be greeted for thirty minutes before the woman who was supposed to be working the front desk hopped out of a salon chair after getting her hair styled to be seen. I tell them I just need a little trim, not even a cut but just to get my [censored]es layers I received from another salon fixed. Well the whole time the woman was mean to my three year old who is VERY well behaved. If she got out of her stroller she yelled at her to sit down. At this point I'm really holding back some strong choice words. After telling her I don't want my hair dried because my scalp was sun burned she did it anyways. Then after all is said and done she tells me my total is thirty five dollars. THATS RIGHT thirty five dollars and I didn't even get a hair cut! She just re layered my layers! I AM BEYOND IRATE at this point so I just pay it and go. I cannot shake how mad I am with these people and I want my money back! My hair STILL looks awful and my child is asking me is she a bad girl because this awful woman was yelling at her the whole time! I added before and after pictures for reference. This is something I will make a very big stink about because I am just completely appalled!

JC Penney 14k hoop earrings

Bought the repair contract and purchased 14k hoop earrings and they would not close. They don't take jewelry back or let you choose a functional pair. You're stuck with them! Now these fools are mailing them Out of state for repair. Never buy jewelry from Penney's ever!
I have bought a lot of expensive jewelry and not so expensive. Some at Nordstrom and Macy's and they will stand behind their product but JC Penney's says you're stuck with it! Just keep bringing them back for repair.

JC Penney racial profiling

It is a shame that we are in Jcpenney's looking for a gift for my father and this lady INA decided not only to follow us around she decided to come stand next to us and watch us up close. I have never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable and I have been in other racist situations before. You would think that the items in the store belonged to her. And I am like how am I going to steal my sister has on a top and shorts not purse just a fanny. I got on blue jeans and a tshirt no purse no bag. And the big and tall section is at the front of the store. We already told you we didn't need help when you 1st walked up on us when we came thru the door. No other associate followed us, but still managed to ask if we needed help and let us shop in peace.

JC Penney service from manager

I am a valued customer that shops in the jcpennys at The Wellington Green mall regularly, I always have such great customer service from all the employees I encounter with except for today. I receive booklets of coupons and emails for jcpennys and today when I tried to use one today the employee told me it could not be redeemed because it was already used today, when I have not shopped there today. When I asked for the manager to show her my coupon she refused to come and when she was walking by the employee flagged her down and she was so rude obnoxious and mean to me. When I was trying to explain my situation to her she had such horrible body language as well as an attitude and asked me if I needed her to write down her name or if she wanted to spell it out to me. I will never be coming back to this location ever again because of this manager Nathalie

JC Penney placing orders on jc penney's online is awful. when

I placed a order on line on June 5, 2019 using my JC Penney's credit card for a Chaise Lounge. When I called customer service I was directed to shipping and delivery and they had not received my order. It has been a nightmare. Finally was given a number to Plano Texas and spoke with some one concerning my order. After I tracked my order it still states in progress. This has been the worse service ever. If I ever receive my order I will never order furniture again from JC Penney.

JC Penney Salon

Good morning! On June 15th, my daughter Sierra Williamson, had an appointment at the Jackson, MI location to get Ombre done for her hair color. Remind you, this was the only birthday present that she wanted. When I called and made the appointment to have it done with Lindsay there, I told the front desk lady that she does have box color in her hair and she assured me that it was fine but she would add it on her sheet. Her appointment was 10 am. I dropped her off and had some errands to run. Two hours later, I got a call from Sierra saying that she was getting her hair stripped which I wish they would have let me know they were going to do this and it was $75.00 on top of the cost for the Ombre but that is not why I was very unhappy with experience. Sierra told Lindsay that she had $200 and was told she would be fine. After the first treatment of removing the hair color, it didn't work like she wanted it to and told Sierra that it would be an additional $75. So $150 for the pre-color and $125.00 for the Ombre totaling $275.00. Sierra of course, said she needed to call me prior to doing the 2nd stripping. I told her to just stop after the 1st one and we will go elsewhere for our services. I am very disappointed in the full experience and that Sierra had to get treated so unprofessionally especially on her birthday.
