ARCO Outrageous gas prices

On 9/25 I stopped for gas at ampm #83261 in Woodburn, Oregon. The per gallon prices were not prominently posted at the station and were not visible on the pumps. You are not allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon so I stayed in my vehicle while the attendant filled the tank. Imagine my surprise when he handed me the receipt and I saw that I was charged $6.699 per gallon. Even the Chevron right up the street was $2.00 per gallon cheaper. I'm sure it's legal to charge whatever you want for gas, but I feel that this station was unethical at best and fraudulent at worst.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund of $18.00. ($2.00 per gallon for 9.388 gallons.)

ARCO rude service

Don't shop there often and not planning to come back due to rude service. the Gentleman working chatted with every customer in front of me and stopped completely when it was my turn. Being a minority himself I would thought that he would treat everyone equally, but he was completely rude. Didn't say hello or thank you and just give me dirty look. Needless to say I will go elsewhere for gas station or other purchases and will let others know not to expect friendly service in this store.

ARCO Not respect with customer

On Sunday morning Sept 04-2022 I come to fill gas here . In the line had 2 station number 10 and number 12 When I came I saw 1 car pumping at Station 10 ready I come inside I told with clerk 35$ for number 12 Then I go outside but I’m waiting about 3 minutes the machine still doesn’t work Then I come into I told her machine doesn’t work She said wait a second Then I go out again But machine doesn’t work too ! I come into again she said wait again and my wife and me come again she said I told her wrong number 10 not number 12 ?

My wife told her check camera she said check camera about from 1 month to 1 year

Later on I call police report it and they give me Manager phone number with his name Jonathan phone number [protected]

And they said Jonathan will come to work tomorrow and will talk with me

But on Sept-05-2022 Manager didn’t call me then let someone call me and said I have to come there for discuss and have 1 man answer to me I call wrong number and turn off the phone ( Jonathan phone number as police gave to me)

I don’t understand why they solve like that ?

That’s not my fault ! I told her number 12 ! If she didn’t hear clearly and then she told me I told her number 10 ( but when I come gas station had 1 person pumping at number 10 ready !

And about 10 minutes later have one lady call me come to get 35$ because her friend told with her that her wrong ( she mistake)

And when I come there the lady give back me 35$ and have 1 man ( I think he’s manager there) he come out from inside office he talk too loud and get mad to me and said not allow me come here to fill gas anymore ( is he racist or what ? )

And can I go there fill gas ?

ARCO Price discrepancy

Price discrepancy with car wash when I paid cash in-store.

Poster boards, banners, and car wash kiosk all promote a $14 car wash but was charged $15 when using cash inside. I took pictures of the prices.

Also, when I printed the receipt from the car wash kiosk, prices are completely different there as well, and timing is off.

I received a receipt for an $18 car wash, and maybe a 10 minute time difference.

Is there a $1 fee for using cash now too? I thought it was only the 0.35 fee if you use card. The employee inside couldn't answer and simply said she didn't know, prices can be different inside and outside and "do you want the car wash or not." And to be honest I don't even know if she gave me the discounted gas price for purchasing a car wash.

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response with whether there is a cash-usage fee and what the issue is with car wash prices. One price is advertised and you are charged something different.

ARCO Irate and very disrespectful employee.

It was between 8:08 and 8:17am on Wednesday 17 Aug. 2022 at the Arco on 5625 Florin Rd. In Sacramento CA 95823.

I was standing in line with one man ahead of me, and the man who was being served at the register was speaking to the female employee in a leisurely manner, as if nobody was behind him. When I calmly said (because I was in my work uniform myself) "Sir, there are people behind you." The female employee of Arco that was serving the man became irate, and yelled to me... "IF YOU DON'T LIKE HOW FAST THE LINE IS MOVING, PUT YOU STUFF DOWN AND WALK OUT!" When I didn't move, but only looked back at her, she instructed another female employee to serve me. And told the other employee that she would serve the man in line in front of me. I then met the other woman at the register next to the very angry woman, completed my transaction, and left. I contemplated the incident for two days before deciding to file this complaint.

It is my request that the surveillance video of this store/gas station be reviewed to confirm the accuracy of my complaint.

Desired outcome: I want this employee's superior to discipline her after reviewing the video of this event. I would also like to receive an email confirmation of this complaint at: [protected]@gmail.com

ARCO Car wash shut down With my wife in it.

Arco, Douglas Drive oceanside Ca 92058

My wife was in the car wash today 7/28/2022 around 1400 and everything shut down. She tried calling the clerk in the store no answer. after about 15 minutes the car behind her went in and notified the clerk that there was a car stuck in the car wash. The clerk was able to get the car wash back working and my wife out. The clerk had told my wife that the car behind here hit some buttons and caused the car wash to shut down. This should not happen , The outside pay machine should ignore any commands until the car in the wash has completed.

ARCO Customer Service at gas station

Hi customer service,

I wrote an email on Saturday morning. I haven’t heard back yet. I wanted to inform that there is an employee at one of your gas stations wrongfully stealing from the customers and your company. So Saturday morning my family and I were heading out taking a road-trip when we stopped for gas. I went inside and bought a few snack to eat on the road. I was in line but strangely realize the lady at the cash register wasn’t giving receipts which I thought the machine was broken. When it was my turn to pay I notice she was acting nervous. I look the the screen and saw how much I was being charge for the few stuff I bought. She went and grabbed a candy and scanned it”said this one is cheap and said I’ll remove the other one since it’s more expensive. I thought she changed the candy so I said ok. I pay and head out since I was in a hurry. I stopped at a red light to check my items when I realize most of the stuff I “bought” weren’t in there and mind I paid 30$ for a few snacks. I had no chance of gong back since like I mention she didn’t give me a receipt nor she give one to anyone. I feel robbed and really upset since it’s my go to gas station.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund at least to add gas for my car.

ARCO Gas creating knocking and bad engine performance

On 6/12/2022 at 6:22pm I filled my car with gas at 7370 la tijera blvd. In los angeles california 90045, within 2 miles of driving away from the gas station my car began knocking, hesitating and losing power. The engine light came on and the warning lights were also activated. On 6/13/2022 took the car to the mechanic some codes had to be reset with a total cost of $80.00 dollars.

Desired outcome: I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of resetting my car's computer codes $80.00, $16.08 fuel treatment and $62.40 gas. total of $158.48 thank you.

ARCO Gas pump not stopping - leakage

I got Gas at ARCO #[protected] N Buffalo Dr, Las Vegas NV 89128 on Sunday 6/12/22 at 7.26am

The gas pump did not stop - I got covered in gas, as did my car and the ground

and at least 3-4 gallons of were splashed everywhere

My shoes are ruined

My cars smells of gasoline

I spent at least $15 dollars more than I should have

Looking forward to you resolving this issue as this should not have happened

Your pumps should know when my gas tank is full and not overflow like this

ARCO Cashier discrimination

While at the cashier another customer approached out of line. I notified the customer the line was back not beside me while I use my visa debit pin code. The cashier rudely sides with this person quote,"you not that big you don't like it don't come back, this is my store my customer. Customer apologize but was still there in my space while conducting my transaction. Cashier should have said he is right the line starts back at the circle label on the floor. Also refused to give me her name to report this discrimination of my right to privacy during a transaction, socially distancing.

ARCO Screaming and cussing cashier

On 5/5/2022 at approximately 19:28 on pump #9 receipt number 9093778. I purchased $93.00 . While my husband was pumping the gas I went inside and purchased a water, Snapple and 2 candy bars coming out to another $14. A receipt wasn’t offered by this cashier. My husband had finished pumping gas and pulled the car to the front doors and ran inside and told me to ask for air for our tires. The lady who was not in uniform and was not wearing a name tag told me that the air is only free to customers who purchased gas. I nicely explained that I did pay for gas and she said where? I didn’t have my glasses on but I directed her to the pump. I walked outside and asked my husband for the receipt. As I presented the receipt she told me that she wasn’t going to put the air on. I got upset and walked out! My husband came in and he asked nicely for the air. The other gentlemen who also wasn’t in uniform or wearing a name tag attempted to push the air button. The old lady began screaming and loudly said “SHUT THE [censored] UP ! GET OUT OF MY [censored]ING STORE!” My husband then very upset exchanged words and left. Both incidents were done in front of other customers. This lady was very unprofessional. I am a manager at arco, sight number 42126 in Ontario, CA. I no for a fact that her behavior is unacceptable for arco customers. I also no first hand that arco doesn’t tolerate no uniform, no name tag and extremely poor customer service ! I have been with the company for years and I have great relationships with my reps including Ben my arco rep. I couldn’t believe her unprofessional conduct over LEGAL free air! That I no it’s the law as well. I WILL NEVER spend a single dollar at this location again, nor will my family ! She really should be ashamed of herself. I will be contacting corporate first thing tomorrow morning on behalf of this incident! She’s in the wrong big time and if her arco rep was standing there, she wouldn’t have behaved in that manner ! She’s old and should be able to control her temper better !

Desired outcome: I would like her arco rep to contact me ASAP at either my store or on my cell

ARCO Gas

Hello,

So I heard a lot of stories about some Arco gas stations that are cheating their customers by adding some solution to the gas or setting their pump a certain way.

I have been to three Arco gas stations this week alone and I noticed that on the third Arco station, the gas was not as much.

Yesterday my gas tank notification went yellow so as soon as iIl got off the freeway, I went to Arco in Vernon station and had a $10 refill. The tank got filled up to a quarter tank. The following day, I used up half of that tank which is about normal (what I would consumed if I got tank at Costco). On my way to work, I made a quick exit on the 91 freeway to get some Krispy Kreme donuts in Gardena, then still a little below the half quarter, I decided to stop at another Arco Station (1001 Artesia Blvd, Garden CA) to fill the tank again. I put another $10 (same price as yesterday, same gas category) however the tank only went up to the quarter level in my meter. Why is that? I feel cheated by half of what I paid! This is a rip off. By adding $10, it would have added past the quarter tank because it was not even near the yellow notification level, It was still above the last tank meter (line). I am not imagining this. I actually went there to test is the rumors are false. This proves it correct! I paid $10 on the last Arco but only got half of the gas it's supposed to fill!

Desired outcome: Arco officials should observe this themselves and audit the location! Gas is already at sky high yet these people are still cheating!

ARCO Overcharge to my debit card gas station in San Ysidro 42739

I arrived at San Ysidro on april 17th 12:04pm and i requested 15 dolars to pump number 5, i paid with my debit card, and the amount that i got from my bank email shows almost 100 dolars charge, please review that location for the time and amount. My car is a small grey suzuki with a bike rack

ARCO Gas attendant

I stopped at store#7023 on 4/1/22 at 6:21pm.

In the state of Oregon there are gas attendants that pump the gas for you.

I asked the attendant for “$40 regular, please.”

To which he went to the pump and shouted back: “zip code?” And I replied with my zip code city. He punched a bunch of keys and then came back and said: “did you say regular?” To which I replied “Yes, regular please.”

He then punched a couple more buttons and ran off helping other cars.

He came back and said: “hey didn’t you used to have a different zip code?”

It was then I noticed that the pump was showing $60 and climbing.

So I said “wait, I only asked for $40!”

He replied “No you didn’t you just said regular.”

I said “No, I said $40 regular.”

He argued back with me “No you didn’t.”

To which I said: “I know what I said, and I…”

He cut me off and said “I know what you said too and this isn’t my first rodeo!”

Then he ran off to help someone else.

I am so upset as I only had $40 to spend on gas, and instead I was charged $71.32! It may not seem like much to him but I am living paycheck to paycheck and that money was going toward food. No I’m screwed.

The worst part of this whole thing was how I was treated and spoken to. He was arguing with me in a rude tone and loudly so other customers could hear!

I am never coming back to this gas station and will also post a bad review on its Yelp page.

This man needs to be taught about customer service. And he should not be responsible for handling peoples money.

Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated in some way; at the very least this man needs to coached and taught how to do his job.

ARCO Gas pump that charged me without filling my tank with gas

I filled up my gas at this Arco station. Paid $56.54. Sounded about right, as the tank was fairly low. When I turned on the car, the gas gauge didn't move. Thought was odd, but as the car has 78,000 miles, I wondered if it had broken. Or if it would recalibrate after the next time I turned the car on and off. It didn't. The gauge kept lowering, as if I had not put in a full tank (13.793 gallons) of gas. I drive less than 30 miles per day - and today the car was near E. So I decided to test it, and put in gas. Went to a Safeway pump at 2:50 pm and put in 7.684 gallons - it would have taken more but I stopped it just to see what would happen to the gas gauge. It rose. It's now at 3/4 full. Which means, the thing I though was impossible - that a gas pump was "on" and filling my gas tank, was actually not putting in any gas. Never heard of this before. Very strange. But I now have the tank of gas, a gas gauge that is tracking it as it apparently had been all along - the reason it didn't move up was because there was no new gas in the tank.

Desired outcome: Refund the money. Also, look into pump #07 at this site, as if it happened to me, it must be happening to others

ARCO Overcharging $40.5

The pump #1 at Arco station in Banning, CA (about 11am, 12/30/2021) did not take my debit card. I went inside, and the guy inside asked for how many I want. I said for $70.

I tanked for $70. The next day I saw my account was debited for $110.50.
(Debit Purchase Arco #42763 Ampmbanning Ca 12/30 Card 4268 - $110.50).

I want $40.50 back to my account.

ARCO Management bad behaviour

To whom it may concern,
My name is Mona ****sey. I would like to reach out to you about my complaint to one of your team managements at 209 E. Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was on Sunday 12/12/2021 at around 10am-10:30. I was treated poorly by the manager's name Marie Price. She was very rude and aggressive towards me as a customer. I came in to fill up my tank and get a coffee. As I was pulling in to station the vehicle in front of me was leaving. I thought as a courtesy I decided to move where the leaving vehicle was, so someone else can come behind me. All of a sudden there was a white vehicle coming in for that spot where I already park. I can tell, she was upset. So, I gave her a hand signal to go around me. I can clearly see she was irritated by her look and mumbling inside her vehicle. To avoid an issue, I decided to leave that spot and park on the side of the building. I planned to get a coffee first then go back and fill up my tank. As I was going inside, she was behind me and berating me that I don't know how to drive, that I should learn how to drive. So, under my breath I said shut up. She heard me and came to my face, and threw me out of the store. She was very aggressive; I did not resist to go out. She was still so mad holding the door so I cannot go in again. I just need to talk to her, but she has nothing to do with resolving the issue. As a manager, she could just go passed me when I went inside, instead, she instigated the issue by berating me. She shouldn't have to do it since I did not do anything to her, I already gave way to park away from the gas pump.
She is very rude and aggressive towards me and I do not tolerate that behavior. I called the location and was able to talked to Shawn who is in charge of the said location, apparently Marie Price is over him, so I decided to ask if I can get the number of the franchise owner. He said he is not allowed to give it, so I am hoping you can give me the owners number or help me resolve the issue. I want Marie Price to know that her behavior is unacceptable and she should get a write up for a horrible customer service. I would like to have someone contact me with this issue.

ARCO Overcharging

purchased gas at the Soledad station on 29 July 2021. I had to pay inside in advance the reserved amount was $100. I filled up (usually this is $60-70, but I don't recall the exact amount on this occasion) and assumed I would only be charged for the fuel I took - as per every other place I've ever filled up at!

To my surprise, I noticed the full $100 charged to my debit card, and no refund.
Please find attached a screenshot of the transaction details from my debit card statement.

Can you please refund the appropriate amount

ARCO Unethical Customer Service

On 9/21/21 at 1:30pm I stop at Arco gas station to pump gas on my lunch, but cc was not accepting it outside, mind you I am cautious because of scammers. I go inside and ask the lady for $40 on pump and try to explain to her that my I inserted my card at pump but it froze and she told me it was technology so I resume and she starts huffing and puffing that now we had to wait as if it was something I caused and she tells me to give her my card and how much that she would just apply money to a different pump, I told her let me move my car first she says no just pay, I try telling her what if a car drives up before I move I am in a hurry and don't want to inconvenience anyone she yells at me to just give her my card. I told her not to yell at me and I will just go elsewhere she told me to go. I go back and tell her that whatever her problem is is not mine whether she skipped lunch or just mad she should not take it out on the customer. She was real nice over the weekend when she locked up to greet her grandkids...maybe if you slacking off you are happier and just rude today. I will never go back Thanks to Pam. I will Drive across town and Go to Kirbys Dhillion Arco. This is the first time in 20years a gas station worker is rude. I like prices and such a Pity you have PAM on weekday shift when locals are the ones around.

ARCO Employee

Walking into this location Sandra RUDELY says " WE CLOSE IN 2 MINUTES!". As we were walking around she's tells us "HURRY UP" and as we are paying she's staring at me and yells "WHAT!?". As I processed to ask for her name she does not reply and I had to ask the other worker who was closing with her. I was in complete shock and I felt very disgusted in her actions. I couldn't even finish looking without being terrorized and stared down.
