Anytime Fitness membership cancellation.

In August I went into Delafield WI location. Filled out paperwork to cancel my membership. 5 months later I'm still paying my fees. Contacted the gym and was told they are not my home gym and they can't be responsible for these continued fees. However they never told me originally to go else where and now I'm trying to get refunded for these charges. delafield is unwilling to accept any fault in the situation and My apparent home gym (Oconomowoc) has not contacted me back. This would not have even been a problem in the first place had they even told me they couldn't handle it from the get go. Now I don't live super close to either Location and I'm frustrated it even got to this point. Received terrible customer service when I called delafield to ask about it- was told they would contact me back and I had to reach out to them to even get a response, and then was talked over through the whole conversation. All I wanted was help resolving this and I was made to feel at fault for something that was quite entirely on the delafield location for simply not communicating.

Anytime Fitness misbehaviour, humiliation and disrespectful behaviour

Humiliated and cheated by any time fitness . Anytime fitness sells their membership claiming to be one of the best multinational chain of Gym . The reality is they distribute franchises and there are no checks and balances as far as running of Gym is concerned . The franchises of punjabi bagh branch runs it like a akhara. The air conditioner are switched off most of the time . The staff picks up fight and argues if asked to switch it on. Their is no guildelines from any time fitness to what is the idle temperature and how it has to be maintained . The reason is to save electricity . The gym stinks from bad smell of members and also because their is no window for circulation of air . On top of it some dhoob batti is done in the morning which makes it more suffocating . The reason they give is that few member wants to workout in hot weather and they don't want air conditioner . I know that they are friends of the franchise owner . I was humiliated and was told to take back my balance membership fee as I was always asking for the air conditioners to be switched on by the staff . The staff and Instructer's are not trained to handle members . They are always wanting to pick up argument and fight if asked something . The music system is not working from last three months . A MP3 player is kept in the middle of the gym which some time plays music . The stair case is dirty and never cleaned . The lift is not working as their is no other teneant and Gym didn't want to pay for electricity bill . Franchises are at liberty to run the gym as and how they like . The staff is disrespectful and are working only to look in the interest of owners .

Anytime Fitness wrong practices and really bad attitude of the franchise owner

I'm a member at anytime fitness since the last 5 months . The attitude of the management at this branch is really bad . They don't want to run the air-conditioning at the optimum temperature. And when constantly being requested and reminded to do so the whole staff becomes very rude and aggressive. Today, when the pollution levels in Delhi are alarming, and when I requested the staff to put on the air conditioning( it was suffocating in the gym ). The whole staff became really aggressive and asked me and another member to take the money paid in lieu for the remaining membership and leave . They flatly refused to put on any air-con and wanted everyone to workout in the hot, suffocating and literally a choking environment of the gym .
I really hope someone takes note of this and some action is taken as I don't think that an international organization where people go expecting quality and some basic minimum standards will have any future when in the hands of such crass, rude and subversive management.

Anytime Fitness training manager at edina location

I went into this location on 10/24/2017 over my lunch break @ 2:15pm to get some information regarding memberships as I am looking to switch to a gym closer to work and home. I arrived and waited for the employee to return from Chipotle. Luckily I only had to wait 5 min. As we are talking, I explain that my current membership at another location is up and i'm interested in membership rates at this gym, to which he begins to trash talk the owner (who is a personal family friend) and they gym itself. I explain to the employee that I have been on my weightloss journey for 1.5 years and have lost 60lbs. His comment was "thats all?"... After questioning why its only 60lbs, I explained that I have been in a plataue for a few months now. The guy asks me "So how does it feel to have that stubborn fat still?" to which I responded "I think you know the answer to that question, seeing as how I am here"
He also had the audacity to say hes never understood "fat girl clothes"...
Not only am I proud of how far I've come, I am also continuing to work on my health and continued weightloss. In 1.5 years of routinely going to the gym, having personal training sessions as well as speaking with other gyms about their membership options, have I EVER felt ashamed to be at a gym inquiring about fitness information.degrading and rude and out of line. A gym that sells its memberships based on shaming potential members will not be receiving any business from me.
I hope this message finds its way back to the Manager and Employee to prevent them from making any further inconsiderate and uncalled for comments to people who are slowly learning to love themselves and work towards a healthier life.
I have been attempting to contact this location since 10 am and have called at least 25 separate times with no return call or answer at the location. I will be contacting corporate
I finally sent a facebook message to the location and got a response from the manager within minutes. While a little apology was given and a promise of speaking with the training manager was mentioned, I feel it is still am important message that needs to be heard. Fat shaming people into purchasing a gym membership is the wrong way to go.

Anytime Fitness staff

I have been going to anytime fitness for over 2 years and have always enjoyed going there. Recently the one I go to was bought by a different person and I don't have the same feelings towards my gym. I never know who is working there because they have no anytime fitness logos and don't wear the same uniforms that the old staff used to wear. I had a conversation with one of the staff members about my account and they didn't have the courtesy to bring me in the office for the conversation which I feel like that was a private issue. All of the people that used to go to the gym are no longer there and it makes you wonder what happened because it was always so enjoyable to go and see people you have known for years. I am very disappointed with the changes and it makes it very hard to not want to find a different gym to go to.

Anytime Fitness horrible customer service

I signed up at club #1188 with Trish after completing the fitness study with Zach as my assigned Personal Trainer. After convincing my husband to sign up for the next fitness study (again with Zach) I told Trish my goal was to convince my hubby to get a membership after having a positive experience with Zach. I had a Corporate discount and she told me it was the same price either way so I originally took the 23 month option. After Bob was injured at his very first workout, I called Trish and (instant msg via FB) and told her to drop me down to the 12 month option since Bob was furious and there was no way he would join this club. I thought everything was taken care of as requested but found out 10 months after when I installed the new APP that she never made the correction. I called and of course she was no longer employed there. The new person was very friendly and tried to help but said my membership was transferred to Winneconne. Winneconne basically blew me off and told me it was an issue between me and the error at Neenah. I attempted to leave feedback at the Corporate Website and they never even responded. So here I am very disgusted with all 3 locations and am stuck in a fraudulent 2 year term because it appears this company does not know them meaning doing what is ethical right for the consumer resulting in me giving them $35 per month for nothing... and them getting nothing but bad PR for this employees mistake.

Anytime Fitness service

Regarding anytime fitness sector 16 Faridabad
1. Cross cable is not replaced even after three months of complaints.
2. There is no proper belts for all sizes
3. Fitness manager don't know how to talk to customers asking me to not renew the membership if its ending because i made complaint again and again for the cross cable.
4.fitness manager asked to give back membership card if I'm using the same branch regularly.
I will not tolerate this and will be going to take this to the consumer court if it is taken for granted now.

Anytime Fitness physically thrown out of a club

I tried to use my medical insurance, Blue cross Blue Shield well on target program, to use the brand new anytime fitness across the street from my house. My wife was with me at the time. The manager, James, began pushing a membership to the gym exclusively on us and I informed him that I already have a membership through on well target. He then tried to make us pay $80 for key fobs. I explained to him the key Fobs are free and they come with the membership that I have. He then physically through me and my wife out of the club and said, "We don't need your insurance and we have the right to deny membership to anybody we want so don't ever come back here again." This happened in front of a lot of people. This is primarily a boxing centered anytime fitness as well so I was not about to actually try and fight this guy. Honestly, I don't even need the membership because I am a firefighter and in the military so I have plenty of free gyms available to me at work. This was primarily for my wife. I just wanted to help support her health goals. Before I turn this into a big deal, I'd rather reach out to you first to see if we can reach some sort of amicable agreement. If I don't hear back from somebody in a timely fashion I'm going to go ahead and escalate this story to any outlet that will listen. The location was in Glendale Heights Illinois on East North Avenue, ZIP Code is 60139. It's in a strip mall on the corner of Bloomingdale road and North Ave.

Anytime Fitness sufficient funds in routing account

the surcharge of Sarah account is roughly $148 due to insufficient funds witch was clarified in July but there was a deposit to coverage the $21 I don't know whether innovating there was a surcharge and was not paid there was plenty of Finance sufficient funds to avoid this ridiculous uncensored charge especially to a gym whom are Christians I have an invoice to prove in this statement and it will observation that there was plenty of sufficient funds in Sarah's account billing department need to investigation to make sure you have your facts and elements probable I can show you a printout of Sarah account to proven that you're in inrelevant and Sarah is relevant then I'll have to forward the transition of her account to billing and they can observation there was plenty of funds and Sarah is not accountability for $140 observations I have my sources from the bank to back my story up I have to do transition cuz this is a Christian gym that was supposedly irrelevant back to the subject attach to captured images to show building departments Anytime Fitness Sarah Joy Howard's account on September 5th 2017 amount lump sum observation the lump sum disproves that there was significant Finance to pay the gym fees of $27 it's sad that I have to forward a capture photo to filling Department if you can contact Anytime Fitness in Halls to verify I proved that there was funds and I don't like to be compulsively ride in action thank you God bless and have a good day

Anytime Fitness cancellation of membership

I'm appalled by how I've been treated by Anytime Fitness, and specifically by the manager Dale.

Firstly, I was led to believe by an Anytime fitness representative that I'd be able to cancel my membership
when I moved to Toronto. The manager of Anytime Fitness, Dale, refused to honour this verbal contract.

Secondly, when we tried to resolve this issue, the Dale told me that he was almost certain that he'd able to find someone to take over my contract. He then e-mailed me the very next day to tell me he couldn't find anyone. In retrospect, it's quite clear that he only told me that to placate me, and
that he never had any intention of finding someone to take over my contract.

Lastly, he lied to me about the terms of my contract. He told me I had to move more than 30 km away from an Anytime Fitness in order to cancel my contract. In fact, the contract only states that I need to move 5 km away.

He did this to try and trick me into unnecessarily paying a 300$ cancellation fee.

Anytime Fitness very bad

Level of their service is poor. No changing rooms and not enough shower rooms. You always have to wait for 10-15 minutes for a free one. The condition of shower rooms is pathetic as well, because they're cleaned once a day, and the rest of the day they are just dirty. And it's disgusting. It also can be pretty cold in winter and they refuse to increase the temperature.
I'm surely done with them.

Anytime Fitness billing

I signed up for 18 month membership and my son for 12 months membership but apparently the contract has a hidden clause for auto renewal that I did not knowingly agree or aware I signed. The iPad that I signed was glitching and not working properly. I did not have any reason to believe that I was not being giving full disclosure of my memebership at the time and I only agreed to the 18 months for myself and 12 months for my son. In the meantime, we only used the gym less than 5 times in the time period but after contact should of been up, my bank account was still being billed. Apparently the gym owner, even knowingly that I only agreed for the selected months, feels that being irritated with me that I should be held accountable for auto renewal that I did not knowingly agree too. I want my money refunded for the months that I did not agree. The deceptive, deceitful way the auto renewal was put in the contact violated my trust. Why would I specify 18 months and 12 months and anyone think that I would agree to auto renewal? I would not and I am not happy with how this was handled. Thank you.

Anytime Fitness west coast anytime - singapore

I just encountered a very unpleasant from this Gym manager with a very rude attitude and confronting me by saying this woman - my wife is no a member here, ask her to get out.
To my angerness, the system did show my wife is a member and he threatened to cancel all my membership.
Really don't understand why this manger kickout member of the the gym as though he run the business. Moreover, the way he talk very rude snd loud challenging customer which suppose not this way of service customers.
Appreciate please take action on this rude manager and i need an apology from him to my wife.

Anytime Fitness music coming out of the speakers

This used to be a nice environment, but, now the hip hop, rap music coming out of the speakers is unbearable and offensive. my headphones wont even drown out the music and when I brought it to the attention of the manager she just smiled at me. This is the most expensive gym in Lawton and recently someone defecated on the back parking lot and its still there. I tried to call the owner but I guess the manager seen me looking for the number on her office door and she blacked it out. I'm not happy with this gym anymore.

Anytime Fitness failure to cancel membership after multiple requests

I asked to cancel my membership multiple times once my contract was up. Each time I was told it was done. Last month I got a charge even though I was no longer a member. I was told it would be taken​ care of and a refund would be credited to my card. Called corporate who told me not only was the account never cancelled but no refund has been issued

I josefina valdez been a member for almost 2 years, i have 4 memberships, my son's, daughter's, and my nieces.
Everything happened yesterday 6/6/2017, my niece goes to the gym everyday around 6, well yesterday my son and my neice went around that timem but the problem was that my son forgot his key, well they both got in with my nieces key and a worker (Jeremy)stoped them and told them that he was going to fine them both for doing that, well my niece told him to check on his computer that he also has a membership there, well he did, didn't say anything about them getting in with the same key but he find out that my nieces account was late on a payment and he asked for the money, money that she had with her, she was also there to make the payment, since the payment was a few days late there's additional charge for that but she didn't have the extra money at the time but she let him know that the next day she was going to bring the money.
Well my niece started Working out like she usually does but the employee Jeremy started Harassing her and practically bullying her, going to her face while she was working out asking her when she was going to pay him he did that multiple times, i don't understand why he was been like that if she answered the question since the beginning.
What make me really mad is that he said this to my niece.
"Well if you don't have enough money to pay me go to the corner so you can get the money"
My 17 year old didn't say anything back, she was in shock, plus she knows better than that, she know how to respect people, something that you has a company have not teach your employees this.
Today 6/7/2017 I try to reach out to y'all by looking for phone numbers in Google, i spoke with the customer representative team also with 2 supervisors.
After explaining the whole story to the 1st supervisor she called the location in my city and spoke to Jeremy, she explained him the situation i guess thinking that he was one of the managers in charge,
he gave the supervisor the store phone number and told the supervisor that he was looking forward to hear from me,
Well i called multiple times and he ignored my calls, i went to the location and he put a "out for lunch" sign at the front door, and he left.
I need to get a hold of somebody, i don't want to take this situation to the extreme.
I believe that nobody should treat a customer like that, and honestly think that he need to get fired.

Anytime Fitness cancelling my membership for medical reason

I signed a 18 month contract last year and since august last you haven't been medical allowed to go to a gym, I have now 6 months left of my contract and still not medically allowed to go to a gym I'm not even allowed to go to work ATM
I also live more then 25kms away from that anytime fitness
I have told all this to them and all they tell me is we can't help you if you want out you need to pay 50% of the remaining contract

Anytime Fitness terminated by local owner for responding to corporate survey

We just had our membership cancelled by Anytime Fitness, Canon City Colorado, in retaliation, it seems, for filling out one of your surveys. We offered honest opinions about this gym and, bingo, we are no longer allowed access. And, if these surveys are supposed to be confidential, how is it that Jay knew exactly who filled it out in order to target us for termination? He should have just been told that “someone” gave this critique and that things needed to be addressed. That apparently didn’t happen. We go to the gym as we usually do and our key fobs no longer work. No explanation, nothing. We finally got a face-to-face with Jay Fredrick, the gym franchise owner, and he said it was because we complained and were not happy with the gym. We told him that was not the case, but that we had seen some shortcomings in the gym that needed attention and brought them to the attention of the corporation in the survey. We did not indicate that we were so dissatisfied with things that we did not want to use the center, just that things needed attention at the facility. So, our take on it now is that if you fill out one of your surveys, and it is less that favorable, you are automatically terminated. Jay said, in fact, that this was recommended by corporate. We found that hard to believe! And when pressed as to where do we go from here, Jay’s attitude wasn’t one of wanting to work things out and make our key fobs work again so that we could get in the door, it was basically one of you’re outta here, you’re locked out, how dare you to complain, go find another gym. So, we gather from what he told us, that rather than fixing the problems at the gym, you eliminate the complaint by eliminating the customer. This definitely is not customer service, and definitely not customer oriented. How can a franchise owner stay in business treating customers this way? I was self-employed for many years and if my customers were dissatisfied with any of my work I bent over backwards to accommodate my customer. That is what customer service is all about. I was totally astounded by Jay’s comments. You get paid by your members and/or their insurance companies so in reality by eliminating your customers, you eliminate your income from those sources. Why send the survey out if you don’t really want to hear the answers? With social media the way it is, we will definitely put it out there that Anytime Fitness does not care about its customers, nor want to hear any type of feedback from them that is not positive. This gym owner is milking this gym and although he says it is deep cleaned twice weekly and that he is there on a regular basis, this is definitely NOT the case. We are not the only clients of this gym who have noticed this, however, we filled out one of your surveys and were automatically terminated and basically told not to come back. Again, what kind of customer service is that? And, I’ll ask you the same question I asked Jay: Where do we go from here? What kind of solution do you offer?

Anytime Fitness anytime fitness

I am not a member of this gym anymore and have moved out of town, I was a member for over a year and they gave my girl friend a free member ship. We went to the gym in February to meet with employees to cancel and explain we are moving out of town and there are no Anytime Fitness gyms where we moved. They said we would not be billed any longer but I am still getting billed and calls from the collection company.

I have tried to call the gym and leave messages with no call back. I will be going into Cambridge today and stopping in to see if there is someone there to talk to

Anytime Fitness membership continuing to be charged after cancelled. owner abusive.

Late January/early February, I went to the Anytime in Aurora. As I was trying to take off my coat and change my shoes, the owner of the franchise came over and started vacuuming the cubby area. She had me pinned in a corner, my back was to her. She hit me in the back of the ankles with the vacuum. She had been making me really uncomfortable working out, staring at me all the time on previous visits. I called her about a week later to cancel my membership and it took her about a week to return my call. When she did, I was at work. She was refusing to cancel my membership so I said I would post a complaint and negative review. At that point, she became verbally abusive and my coworker heard the entire conversation. She eventually said that she would cancel my membership, but I would have to pay up until March when my contract was up. It is now May, and I am still being charged. I have now been assaulted, embarrassed at work and stolen from. I want my membership cancelled and the payments I have disputed from April and May returned. Anytime Fitness DOES NOT have my permission to continue charging my credit card.
