Had a handyman come out to my home to remove and install a new microwave over the range. I asked him if he felt he could do the job since I have custom cabinets with moldings at the bottom. He assured me he could. Well, first of all this is a two-man job. So, in other words, I had to help him remove the old unit. Upon looking for wall studs to attach the new mounting bracket, the service (PRO) vider begin drilling multiple holes in my wall attempting to find the wooden studs. Upon saying he found one, he kept on drilling and punctured the Gas line for my stove, immediately releasing the strong gas odor. I had to evacuate my wife and dogs from the house not knowing what may occur? I called the So. Cal. Gas company who came out and told me I needed to get a plumber to fix the gas leak. Of course, a plumber is not going to repair the hole he'd have to make to get to the leak in the Gas line created by Angi's service provider. So, I hired a Licensed Contractor to do the repairs. $1500.00 later I filed a claim with Angi's and their response was for me to first contact my home owners insurance to see how much they would pay and how much my deductible would be. Are you FRICKIN kidding me. Your service provider caused this issue, not me!

Went to Angi's List to find a "handyman" or 'contractor' for very minor home renovation. The closet was to be deepened (pulled out into the room, roughly a foot) The handyman that was hired was a menace. WHO VETS THESE PEOPLE? Discount Handyman in Phoenix is terrible. Disrespectful, never on time and dishonest) I will submit reason for each. Disrespectful, Jessie was never on time, always an excuse for why, he couldn't be on time. Wreck, no one to watch the kids, muffler issue. He would send a text message, complaining about issues, and implied several times, that I was the problem. Dishonest. He set a bid of $2500, claiming that things would be finished within the week. 2 additional weeks and $2000 more later, it is still not done. Things are not completed. Who do we contact? Who do we sue, him, or Angi's? Both? Number of photos available. Please request, as they will end up a huge file

Hired Diagonal Interiors, LLC owner Cheny Gyeni. His company website offers no address. I hired him based on his Angie's List reviews and recommendation: This company and owner are professional frauds - He was hired to remodel my kitchen and bathroom - I paid him the initial deposit and then was pressured to pay more so that the project would be done with-in a weeks time - I prepaid for new flooring and paint throughout my home, new granite tops, new door and exterior posts. Once he received the money he started pressuring me to pay the subcontractors and he would reimburse me for the material costs. I was forced to pay the granite subcontractor as my house was torn up and not liveable. The subcontractor refused to install the granite because Cheny would not pay them! Cheny then started extorting me to pay more and when I refused he refused to complete the project and make any repairs to all the damage to my home. He has refused to return my key. I have had 2 contractors estimate repairs to complete my project and have been told the work is substandard, not to code and not useable the way he left it.

I booked an electrician to relocate and outlet and light switch through Angi. When the electrician arrived he advised against doing the work. So the service did not happen. I contacted Angi and explained the situation. I offered to pay a trip charge but would not pay the $546.60 for work that was not completed. I was assured I would not be charged. One week later the charge appeared on my credit card. I called Angi and was told that the charge was not placed and they had actually credited my account. I know the difference between a debit and credit. Now I have to file a complaint with my credit card and my state attorney general.

The second time, nobody showed up, so I had to have a repair person come three times. The third repair person was terrible...she was a disaster.

First of all, setting up the desk was scheduled to take an hour and a half...it took her FOUR AND A HALF HOURS! I did not trust her to set up the desk but I decided to leave her alone and do it by herself; after all she is supposed to be a professional repair person, right? She was NOT! I left her alone to set up the desk and leave her alone for the first hour and a half because I assumed, since she's supposed to be a pro, she could do the project correctly. At the hour and a half time, I figured she would be done, but she was only half-way done. When I looked, she saw she had done a very poor job setting up the desk. The legs and walls were completely wobbly because she did not pay attention to the instructions and set-up the desk as she felt like it.

She stripped the screws to the legs so now they can't be put in properly. The front and rear panels were nailed closed, but she left off most of the hinges; that is why the front frame was completely wobble. I had to show her the instructions to do it properly so she had to take down half the panels all over again. I saw that she left 2/3 of the hinges and didn't attach the hinges on--that's why the front frame wobbled so badly--because she didn't place the hinges. I put the hinges on myself as many as I could but who knows how many she did not attach. The only way to attach the desk properly was to take it completely down and do it from scratch correctly. The desk wobbles because the repair person did not assemble the desk correctly. She told me the hinges and other hardware are "extra" pieces...that is completely ****. There is not "extra" a whole bunch of hardware because the instructions show that there are specific numbers of hardware so the desk is assembled sturdy, not with a bunch of "extra" hardware. The desk is wobbly because it was not assembled correctly and a lot of the hardware was not attached. For example, one of the drawers is done correctly, but the other is not. The drawers are supposed to completely close on their own, but one sticks and has to be shoved in to close the door. It is now off-set and you can only close the door by pushing it in...the door is permanently, deeply scraped and is only going to get worse.

The repair person is terrible. She is obese--at least 400 pounds---but that is not the problem. The problem is she is not able to do the work properly. She's not physically able to get down the floor and/or properly assemble the desk. She cut corners to assemble the desk because she was too fat to correctly assemble it. The reason so many "extra" hardware pieces are because the desk is missing lots of screws, hinges, nails, etc. and the desk wobbles. She didn't assemble the desk correctly because she is not a good repair person, who ignored the instructions, and is not physically able to get down the floor to assemble the desk.

She kept asking me to help her move the desk to assemble it. THE CUSTOMER IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HELP DO THE WORK or I'd just do it myself for free! That is why I PAID to have the desk assemble, not do the work. What if I were an 80 year old woman without one leg? Would your repair person help HER assemble the desk? I was completely impressed with your repair person, especially since it took her FOUR AND A HALF HOURS, and am not happy with it.

We purchased a pet kitten on 1/24/2022 from a breeder. The breeders contract guaranteed the pet was healthy. 2 vets have examined the kitten and found developmental and or genetic deformities requiring future vet care - patella luxation, hip pain were diagnosed by these veterinarians. They have said this pet could need surgery X-rays physical therapy as the cat ages.

The pet also had a parasite requiring more vet care and medication . We have asked for a refund as her contract promises.

The 3d week of February 2022 I went on the internet to get information for a quote for a plumbing problem I was having. I had to put in my personal information-name, address, and phone number- to get the quote. Since then I have received more than a dozen spam calls a day including weekends. The difference between these spam calls and the ones I received before, THEY ALL HAVE MY NAME!

i ASKED THE LAST CALLER HOW HIS COMPANY GOT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND HE SAID, "You visited a website and put this information into it."

My dryer stopped working and Angi's sent a tech and charged me $123.49 up front. This was on Feb 16th. The tech came and thought he'd fixed it, but it isn't fixed. The dryer still doesn't work. I tried reaching out to the tech but haven't heard back.

Apex Plumbing came out and did not give us an estimate and called to say they were done with the work and charged us $668 to replace a waxed seal and supposedly repaired a flange under a toilet. Flange would cost $50 and wax seal $20. They also did not clean up after themselves. This equals $668 for an hour of labor?

The work was done on February 7, 2022.

On 2/24-21 Angi's list sent plumber to fix tub clog. Plumber said he turned the plug and whoosh all the water drained quickly. Said there must be an air pocket and he fixed it. Said someone will need to go under the house and check the pipes (but it would not be him). He would not go under the house and wanted to get out of her as fast as he can. Then he asked if I would pay him cash for the parts because it was a hassle to get back from Angi's. Asked for receipt and wrote him a check for $26. Now I know why he wanted to get out of here so fast, he broke the wastewater overflow pipe (1-21-22) and now water has been draining from tub to crawlspace. 1/2 inch of water. No phone numbers to call all issues handled over e-mail. Been asking for detailed invoice on what work was completed and they will not give me one - they send me the work order. Then they tell me that I have to get quotes and get back to them. I had the work done, (1-28-22) Premier Restoration $2500. and plumber $500. still have not received my money back. They give me the run around and send me back to the complaint request to start over.

I hired a contractor thru your site, he brought criminals with him to work @ my home. I have had nothing but problems since. From the horrible work he did to the repairs he never fixed correctly. Its been on Ongoing problem since the day i let this contractor into my home. The Contractor is Nathan Jobe

Never corrected their mistakes. Called repeatedly and they no longer answer the phone.
I am very disappointed that Angie's list referred them to me. I trusted to much. All I really was hoping for is that they finish what they started or at least contact me with some kind of resolution. One gutter is not even connected to the roof and the water runs right down next to it. Another has the spout just pouring water onto another roof and not to the ground. Making the roof freeze now.

You recommended Timothy Lopez (texas.[protected]@gmail.com to repair my dish washer. he required $410.00 just to buy parts witch I gave him ( ticket #8708520) he couldn't get part on time, so I cancelled it. Never got my money back? Stopped taking my calls and has never made any effort to return money. I will never use Angies List again, I don't think you vet anyone

The head of the company did a terrible dry walling job and sent out a non-professional to complete the job that owners had done the day before incorrectly. I complained to the owners of the company but they said they would come out and access the job but he did not come. In other words he lied and would not return my calls after several attempts. Do not hire these people they donot do a good job and will not complete the terrible that the do. 1, to take down my wall and put a a new in order to secure my floating entertainment center, the dry wall was uneven and lumpy. 2. To paint the wall back to it s gold color. 3. To hang tv on wall. Nothing was done correctly if this is how they do business I would never hire them again!

I was charged for work after a handyman came to my home and was unable to do the work. He had no tools and was unprepared to work. Broke my commode by standing on it, because he did not have a ladder. Angi customer service state I would not be charged and 5 weeks later they charged my card. for $213.00, After I had made several calls to inform them the work was not done! This business is a scam! I was told today someone would contact me in 5-7 business days. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available. Contact number for the company is [protected].1118

I have a one year contract for monthly house cleaning - cleaner named Rhonda was suppose to be here at 8am - DID NOT show up.

Owner/ operator Todd Lambert took money for a job he never completed. After lying about his intention to return, multiple attempts to communicate since have gone completely ignored.

Your contractor, Low Country Resolutions, contacted me regarding my request to have an epoxy floor done in my garage. I hired Brian and Dallas
of Low Country Resolutions and they did the job. Two days after they completed the job, and the floor was dry enough to inspect I called them to say it did not look good and asked if they could look at it on Monday when they were supposed to put the refrigerator back in the garage. They were supposed to come and look at it and promised at that time if it didn't look good, they would redo it and make it right, but no one ever showed up on 11/25/2021, and they never answered or returned a call from that point (11/24/2021) forward.
The finish is very uneven, the flaking is clumpy, uneven and looks like a child did it. There are stop marks in the finish, there should be a clear topcoat on top of the flakes and that was not done. The finish was supposed to be a commercial grade, to hold up to things being moved around in a garage as well as my truck going in and out. The finish is scratching and already showing wear and it's only been a couple of weeks. You can see the tire wear, were my truck goes in and out. You can see the cracks in the concrete that were supposed to be filled and covered, not visible after the application was complete.
As they were an Angie's List contractor, and me being a past Angie's Contractor with multi year awards, I expected much better workmanship and Customer Service from a company on your list, not the "Take the Money and Run" contractor. Being new to the area and not knowing anyone I went to Angie's for a reliable contractor, they were anything but. As a Past Angie's List Contractor and member I am totally beyond surprised that you have allowed such a company to be on your site. He talked a good game and had all the right answers to my questions but that where the professionalism ended.
I do not know how much of the wear and other problems are visible in the attached pictures, but it is bad.
They were at my home on October 21 and 22, 2021.
They were supposed to send me a completed and paid invoice which I never received, unfortunately I paid in cash and do not have any receipt.

November 17th, 21

I received a text message from a potential client. I did not accept any sort of lead for this text message. I returned the text message with a phone call and the man on the other end sounded suspicious. I was then charge $44. for this phone call. Which again came to my phone simply as a text message - with no lead attached.

I found this person a few months ago. He sounded like he knew what he was doing, that is until he finished his first and last day. I had seven small projects I needed help with. He gave me quotes for each one. He told me he was fully qualified for each one. I bought the parts he said he needed. but I have found him impossible to reach. At the rate we are getting the list finished I will die before he gets the work done. I get a return call after every 3 or 4 messages on his voice mail. He claims to be so busy he has no time to finish my job.
I bought two new televisions with ROKU and sound bars. He claims one is working, but I disagree. he started on number two, it doesn't work TV number three is still running on Comcast /Infinity. I bought the ROKU box but I won't let him touch that TV until the other two are working otherwise I will have nothing.
My wife has been in the hospital for 8 weeks she came homeliest Saturday by ambulance. She thinks it is ridicules for me to be so kind to such a fool. He changed two light switches to dimmers, repaired some wiring that my dog ate. and chalked a piece of flooring. All the while bragging about the work he does. None of these things are monumental but he claims to have too much work and I am suffering. Since I did not receive a call AGAIN today I decided it was time to let ANJI know and maybe get some help
