America's Tire - I bought 4 tires, they broke my rim caps

On 8-12-19 (Monday) I went to this store to buy 4 tires for my 2011 Jeep Compass, & during the installation process someone broke my center caps with the Jeep insignia. Dave said sorry we had to force the caps off to balance the tires & can't put them back on cause they're broken, he handed me two bags (1 w/ sensors, 2 w/my Jeep insignia Caps Inclosed) he handed me my keys & said your all settled up; as we had paid prior to service on the car by credit card.
I told Dave he has to pay for new caps & installation. I want my car back with caps on it, the way I brought it in & I admit I scolded h for trying to make me leave without fixing it. He said it's 4:45 now, & were closing for the day by! I asked to see the Manager & was told he wasn't in & won't be back until next Monday the 19th I refused to leave, he, (Dave) then got angry & walked away, I went to tell my son I'm not leaving yet my car isn't ready & explained to him the problem. My son had a broken leg but he hobbled back inside the store with me, and Dave had disappeared into a back room. Son & I waited for about 20 minutes for Dave to reappear, meanwhile I asked the Matt to get my son's pillow from my car in the installation area so my son could sit down: as his foot had turned purple from standing so long and I led son to a chair to put up his broken leg while I waited for Dave to reappear from the back room. About 20 minutes later Dave came out & I told him again I'm not leaving until you fix whatever you broke.
He told one of the workers to go with me outside & try to put the caps back on son followed too! We three, went to the car to try to put the caps on. First Matt, then I tried but noticed they were badly damaged then I told Matt to get Dave out here & tell him he has to replace my Caps before I go.
Dave came outside & tried to put them on himself to which I replied they're to broken & I got angry that my son was on the ground, on his brokenleg trying to put a cap on the rim & sorry I bacame very upset & yelled at Dave cause I didn't understand how they could have broken them so badly and I told him if you can't put them back on you have to buy me new ones & have the Jeep dealer put them on at his expense. He didn't like that idea as I told him I'm not paying for this, I just paid you 700.$ for tires & installation, ect.
My car looks worse than when I arrived! Finally he said ok if I can't fix it I'll call the Jeep dealer and he had his guy drove my car back in the shop, took off one tire to see if it helped? He got the part number for the caps & said he's calling the Dealership in Walnut Creek to order the caps & said he'd pay & install them himself when the parts came in, or he'd pay the dealer if necessary, & with that I was satisfied ; He said I'll call you wednessday when the parts are here & I said ok.
Wednesday the 14 the nohe called so I drove back to Concord at around 3:30 pm & the part was wrong it fell out, so I gave him the old cap to get the part #, supposedly then he realized he couldn't fix it & was gonna have to send me to the dealer. He told me ok I called the dealer & Justin Fong is waiting for you go there now to Walnut Creek Jeep right now! I then called Jeep to make sure they would see me today & they said no, come back tommorow so I did. Thursday morning I went to Jeep & they said to pull into the garage area and I did they get out to look at the rims to try to get a better idea of what happened & if they could fix the caps : they asked for the new caps they sent to Dave for my car but Dave kept them so I let them see the old caps that were on my car prior to American Tire installing the tires, to get a part number off them. Justin in parts came out & tried to put the on but of course couldn't do it. He went inside & got the mechanic to come help me figure out what to do with the situation & the Mechanic said Im not working for free & fixing their mess ups you need to make them pay for this damage they really tore the hell out of the housing, ; I said that's why I'm here Dave said he would pay you if you can fix it. He said take it back to American Tire, & tell them to fix their own f... ups I'm not gonna be responsible for what they did make them fix it
He said why did they take them off, these tires arent balanced with this many weights & they have electronic sensors that can be dangerous if installed incorrectly and can cause the tires failure also the cap has nothing to do with it! He said alot other Mechanic launguage I didn't understand to. He told me if they refuse to bring it back & he would fix it but I will have to pay cause Dave said he wasn't!
I went back to American Tire the next day to confront Dave for telling me he would pay then telling Jeep the oppssite thing he told me! Dave then started blaming me saying my rims weren't original to the Jeep dealer & that the caps were not right blah blah blah, which is totally stupid cause the rims & caps were on the car when it came to them the only change was something they caused, after nine days of arguing with them I gave up & reported them to coorprate and I m still at loss because I have to now pay Jeep for what I paid American Tire to do, and I will consider carefully ever going there again as I have always gone to them for years For tires & Services! 😠
