American Web Loan Loans

Their website blocks me from accessing and now I am going to be late on a payment. I do not trust this company and WILL NEVER use them again! They never seem to be able to come up with an answer and the problem is alway on my end not theirs. They do not explain VERY WELL either. I do not recommend anyone to use this company. Tried making a payment on 10/26/2023 around 8;30 pm. Says I am blocked.

Desired outcome: Be able to make payments online and not penalized for being late!

American Web Loan Predators

For the last eight years, All of my internet services for web hosting, emails, fax domain have been with GoDaddy (proof of services). I never transferred any of the services Webcoders made me pay for prior to building my website and proof no website design ever commenced. Also, please the email proof of my cancellation ceasing all services communication. I'm not very computer literate. As a result, I almost became a victim of an international scam organization. On 9/16/21, I contracted Wed coders to upgrade my website for $2499- They told me to fill out a questionnaire about the type of website I'd like to design. I didn't feel comfortable giving out my passcodes to Web coders till I saw a finished website product. On 9/17/21, Brain Willams contacted me and started to build the website. I needed to pay $4300 - I never moved my Domain, Email or hosting, or fax. I didn't feel comfortable giving them access. I didn't understand why I needed to pay for these services until they finished designing the website. On 9/22/21, Web coders contacted me again, stating that I must acquire a Norton Security & DMCA compliance to build my website for $3000. They use very high-pressure sales techniques to scam money from victims. I must pick a website layout. (see Email) Unfortunately, I was not too fond of any of the website designs offered. I just wanted to update my existing website. I became suspicious. I contacted Go Daddy, who informed me this was a scam. I didn't need to pay for any of those services to build a website. It was never necessary to pay for server or even ex-fax when GoDaddy was already my server. Efax is with go-daddy. I immediately sent an email on 9/24/2021. (see Email) to cancel everything. I didn't want to pursue working with web coders. I already paid for my domain for one year with go daddy.
For Example, Go Daddy also informed me there was no such thing as a lifetime domain or any of the other services they kept adding on to my initial request to build a website.. That was a lie. Domains are with GoDaddy and paid for 1 year. All websites come with security. I didn't need to pay for that up front. I'm already paying for this service with GoDaddy. See proof of GoDaddy services already provided to me. I've hired GoDaddy to do my website. Continue all my internet email services, hosting security etc. I never transferred any services to Web coders at any time. - see receipts. Web coders never performed any work on my website design. I never selected a layout. I never transferred my hosting or emails. Go Daddy also told me informed that I was lucky I didn't give them my passwords to get into my domain or emails to steal, I canceled my credit card & disputed the charges. Unfortunately, this company isn't in San Jose; It's an international crime syndicate that's scamming computer illiterate people like myself. I've hired GoDaddy to do my website. Continue all my internet email services, hosting security etc. I never transferred any services to Web coders at any time. - see receipts. I did a little research on web coders. Unfortunately, all the reviews are fake.

Desired outcome: full refund

American Web Loan fraudulent loan taken out in my name

Contacted company on 8-1-19 about a loan that was taken out in my name. Was informed that I needed to pay it all back but I was charged wiring fees by my bank of $45. My bank wired back $455 of the $500 because of the fees. On 8-9-19, I contacted them to see if the loan was paid in full and was told it was. Informed them that I wanted a written letter mailed to me paid in full and wanted reimbursement for mileage, gas, new checks for a checking account and my time. Was informed they could not do it.

This just happened to me as well. I am currently fighting to clear my name. It almost seems as though someone within the company is doing this. What I don't understand is how they got my information to do so. I've never had an account with them. I have never even heard of them until this happened.

American Web Loan phony loan

I received an email this morning that I had an account created with them and a secondary email containing a temporary password. I already fell into the partial trap and reset my password to something new, which now i deem that password has a dead password since now its in their system...

Anyways after I logged in, they have old information that is almost 10 year old for this account, my last 4 of social seems to be known, but that is about it. I checked creditkarma and I see nothing on my report, they state they opened a $500.00 loan for me however I did not open this loan, it just magically appeared. This company sounds like a data mining scam, if you get a call or email from these people to 'verify' your information, and you have no idea who they are, DO NOT. Do not give them any information. This feels like a complete scam and something terrible can happen if they have to much of your identifying information...

Here is a copy of the email I received stating they 'created ' an account for me.

American Web Loan request for documentation

I received a voice mail from Stephanie Miller stating they are attempting to locate me and that I should call back immediately or if I know said person I should pass their information to their office at 888-217-9570. I called back and she said the case had been turned over to them and could not release any information until she verified she was speaking with the person of interest by verifying the last 4 digits of my social (which she had correct.) I verified my DOB. She stated that the case had been turned over to them after a loan company had attempted to regain payment (amount she did not disclose) owed to them by me. She said this is from 2013. She quickly went through some information including the name of a bank that I once had an account through and gave the last 4 numbers (not sure if it was mine as I do not remember the account number.) She also said the account had a R2 status - was closed or had insufficient funds. I asked her to not contact my fiancee's sister as she stated they called her to find out if I live there; which I don't) and all Stephanie could say was we do not make outbound calls (ummm I had to return your call so you do make outbound calls.) She said they are going to serve me papers; however I stated that they do not notify a person they are going to do this; they just do. I asked her for documentation to show I owe this and she said it is passed that and recommends I have an attorney on file. I am not sure what to do at this point.

I received a similar thing, but I have not talked to anyone yet. They opened a loan for me that I never opened or approved for $500.00. They do not have any of my personal information that is current, except for the last 4 of my social it seems, even my last name is different as I changed it. Do not give them anymore information or 'verify' anymore information that you already have, they seem to be collecting data and might use it for something else. Check your credit history and make sure they are not actually opening or doing anything with your information.

Same here. Some outdated information was used but somehow the loan was still approved and issued. I also recommend filing a police report and freezing your credit if you have not done so.

American Web Loan american web loan

This is honestly the worst company I have ever dealt with. They not only lied to me about how their loans work to get my money but the customer service is terrible along with most of the supervisors I spoke with. I asked them to pull my call (their calls are recorded) they wouldn't. The Rep I spoke with granted me a $400 loan. She said NOTHING about me being locked into a six month contract. This company has now stolen over $1000 out of my bank account. My bank investigated the issue and gave me back the money they stole. Now the company is calling me saying I owe them that money back and is threatening me that they will "ruin my credit." I would NEVER tell anyone I know to use AWL. STAY AWAY!

American Web Loan They stole $500 and no idea why

I applied for the loan and the rep from the company American Web Loan told me that I would need to pay $300 every week within one month. It was ok, but after one week they simply stole $500 from my account. I tried to get any explanation from them, but of course they ignored me and no idea what to do now. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and didn’t explain why. Please post your comments about this company.

Awl is a rip-off. Somebody at their company rip me off. They claim that they loan me $500. However, i could not find the money in my bankaccount. But they took $300 twice a month. They was not authorized to do so the bank call me . When i ask awl to put the money back in my accou nt they gave me the run around i knew then that i have to file a serious comp;aint. They was suited and had to pay out a lot of money for this to customers. They have not stop and continue to do this over and over. I will continue to file complaints wherever i came..

American Web Loan Scam

I received a voice mail from [protected] stating they are attempting to locate me and that I should call back immediately or if I know said person I should pass their information to their office at [protected]. The woman who answered said the case had been turned over to them and could not release any information until she verified she was speaking with the person of interest by verifying the last 4 digits of my social (which she had correct.) I said I would not do that for security issues and agreed to verify my DOB and address as well as the names of some of my family members she claimed were listed as points of contact in her records. She stated that the case had been turned over to them after a loan company had attempted to regain payment of $675.35 owed to them by me. She said her office ran a fraudulent trace on my information and nothing turned up and that if I did not resolve this matter out of court today by paying a lower settlement amount of $300 and some change which they were able to talk the company down to they would have to move forward and I could possibly be arrested at home or work. I asked for her name which she avoided giving me. I asked her to verify my Bank of America account # which she claimed the company stated they attempted to receive my payment from but was closed or had insufficient funds in and she asked me to hold while she tried to locate that information. I confronted my husband on the line and filled him in and he said it had to be a fraud. When she returned to the line she claimed the bank account information could not be disclosed because that could be used against me should they have to proceed in court but that she could tell from her records that the computer that was used to apply for the loan was from an IP address that belongs to us at our residence. My husband let her know he was on the line but did not tell her he is my spouse, he yelled at her accusing her of running a scam because there was no way she could know that and she yelled at him and said she would not discuss the case with anyone but me and that if he is my attorney he can represent me in court and hung up on us after saying they would be moving forward and good luck.
This really scares me and I hope I have not given them enough information to make me a victim of fraud.

TOTAL SCAM...stay away!
I borrowed 2500, made 5 weekly payments of 295, called to pay loan off and my balance was 2517. I knew it was ridiculous interest, but wow! The MOB charges much less than this tribal owned scam operation.
And as a previous person indicated, the online system does not work in order to get an extra day of interest out of their customers.

Do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here...
This company will not inform you of the details of your loan on the phone until after the loan gets to you... where you'll be stuck with a loan which has interest that basically matches your payments.
I got a $1200 loan... and was making payments of $300 bi-weekly ($600 per month).
after 4 payments... I called to see how much was left on my loan... and they told me I owe $1258... on a $1200 loan I got 8 weeks ago.
so, I got a $1200 loan... then I paid $1200 back to them in only 8 weeks... and still owed $1258.
At the rate of interest they decided to assign me... I would have never paid this off by paying $600 per month.
I had to pay the full $1258 extra on top of the $1200 I paid them in 8 weeks towards a $1200 loan
At the end of the day... I had accumulated $1, 258.00 interest in just 8 weeks.
this is a rip-off beyond comprehension.
They said I still had 16 payments of $600 a month left ($6000 total) to pay it off in full, unless I did the $1258 on the spot.
To top it all off... they said once I pay the remaining $1258 on the $1200 loan that my payments hadn't even touched yet... that it would take them 3 days to process it and i'd have to pay $20 per day of interest until the wrapped it on their end... $60 more just because it would take them 3 days to process it.
Do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here... do not get a loan here...
