American Home Shield [AHS] Over charge.

Cancelled my policy with AHS after 5 years. Their service was terrible, they are rude when talking to you and they raise the rates every year without informing you. I told them I didn't want their service and wanted to stop my insurance. They became angry and demanded payment for the next month and a penalty on top of that. They charged that to my Citi card and I called Citi to dispute it. They have disputed back to Citi and now it's back in my court.

These Home insurance companies get away with murder. Don't think I will deal with any of them again. I'll start my own fund and pay into it every month.

Desired outcome: Please refund the penalty and last month payment.

American Home Shield [AHS] Microwave

On 9/13/2023 my microwave was repair for not working.

Unfortunately on 10/16/2023 the microwave stop working

again with the same problem.What i don't understand is why

do i have to pay another one hundred dollars for the service call,

when it is the same problem as the first time.. Please note that all service personnel sent to my residence are always extremely professionals at all times.

In June 7, 2023 we had our hvac system replaced thru ahs's upgrade program. It is now October 16, 2023 and we wanted to change the air-filter. Guess what? There isn't one. No filter, no rack to put it in. The company that installed the unit, Millinial hvac, just came out and said they would write up an estimate. Can you belive it. They didn't do it right...

American Home Shield [AHS] administrative fee of $0 .88

I sold my home and cancelled my policy on the day after closing...9/26/23. Contract number [protected]

I was charged an admin fee of .88 which was below my credit card threshold for charging. NOW, I have to send a check to your company to close out my account. I was a long time customer who paid my bills on time and this event disappoints me greatly. Good will would have meant you waived this .88 and closed my account.

Also, your policy of having to call the day of closing to cancel a contract is not user friendly especially given all the stress involved in moving, walk through and then closing. Consider allowing a customer to provide a copy of a contract for sale of a home, with closing date, and allowing a cancellation order be registered based on that contract...end of story.

Representetive lying whithout stop. Contract company also lying.

American Home Shield [AHS] Refrigerator repair/cash out

I have been waiting for parts since June. It is now September my refrigerator temperature is 49 degrees. They have 2 of the 3 parts and offering a cash out on the part that is not in stock. The other parts are available but I will not be compensated for those parts even though I do not have them in my possession.

I am told that the fan is on back order and is not expected to be in until November 2023 and then there is no guarantee that will happen. This has been the worst experience ever, when it comes to customer service. Every person that I spoke to have been like robots reading from a script. No one really cared about my situation or made an effort to help me. I have been offered $322 cashout to replace my refridgerator. I do not feel like that is a fair offer.

Desired outcome: I am asking for compensation for all parts $374.44, labor $160, the monthly service fee for three months $167.85 and the initial service fee $125 charged for the contractor to acess the problem.

American Home Shield [AHS] Washer

Terrible service, washer has been broken for over 3 months still not fixed, every time we call AHS we get a different rep that we repeat the story to them over and over again, they make promises and then nothing gets done about it. Even the tech they asked to come out to us, did a video call and did not even come out to see the washer and then when he did come out, he was terrible and did not fix the problem and then the tech told AHS that he replaced 2 parts which was a lie, no-one takes them seriously and that is why the washer is still broken 3 months later. I would not recommend AHS to anyone, unless you just want to pay and get no service. A total waste of money...

American Home Shield [AHS] A/C Repair

Our AC went out in August, we contacted AHS. They didn't respond until we started calling. They didn't find us anyone to work on our AC, and dispatch was and is still "pending" somehow. It took jumping through hoops to get approved to find an outside technician. We have been told numerous times that we will get call backs to let us know what is going on, and we don't. We have to call repeatedly and we (me, my partner, and the technician) get told different and conflicting information. No one at AHS actually knows what is happening due to "system errors," and they give us the turn-around. It has been almost a month without AC, because of AHS and their neglect. Our technician needs approval to do the work. He was told his diagnostic report was declined, I was told there is no record that it is declined. At what point will this become a legal issue? Soon if AHS doesn't fulfill their contract.

Desired outcome: Approve the diagnostic report and approve the technician's request to do the repairs or replacement. We will have him bill AHS, because we now cannot trust that AHS will reimburse us if we pay.

American Home Shield [AHS] Charging unduly $64 for allegedly late monthly fee.

I am complaining about penalty charged. My tenant called for AC problem and the company refused to help saying I did not pay the monthly due on time. I talked to your representative and it took him about half an hour to find out that I had paid on time. Now my tenant sent me bill for $64 that your service man has charged for late payment. No bill has ever sent to me and no explanation. I always paid on time My contract is [protected]. Your company does not believe in keeping its clients happy. It exploits.
