AMC Theatres theater

I took my 4 children to watch Avengers End Game on Sunday April 28th and the whole experience was horrible. We normally go to a different AMC theater but we heard that Westgate had remodeled their theater and got rid of the bed bugs. When I purchased our tickets it said the seats were recliners which they absolutely were not. And the seats we had had a huge railing that was blocking a huge chunk of the movie screen so 2 of my kids had to pretty much sit on their knees just to see a portion of the screen.
The popcorn terrible, it tasted very old and had zero flavor. There was kids crying throughout the entire movie so as you could imagine I am very disappointed and frustrated. We waited for this movie and we were looking so forward to seeing it but it was ruined by this experience. And what a waste of $85

AMC Theatres air conditioning not working

Went to a 9:30pm showing of Avengers Endgame on Thursday, April 25th 2019 and the theatre was ill prepared, understaffed, with 35 minute wait lines for food. The air conditioning was also not working. I complained to an usher and they told me all theatres were having problems and that I could leave and get free passes but I could not find anyone to speak to about it. No manager. Very disappointed.

AMC Theatres rude, unprofessional management.

I have had several incidents with the rude, unprofessional management at the AMC theatre in the Galleria Mall in Wallkill, NY. I bought my 15 year old son and his friend a ticket to see a movie. I let them walk around the mall and get something to eat for a while before show time an hour later. Not realizing an ID was required to enter a R rated movie, the boys were not allowed into the theatre. They told the boys their only option was to have a gift card issued for the refund. When I picked up the boys I went inside to get my credit card refunded and give back the gift card. Just another unpleasant experience that made me realize too many unpleasant experiences at this theatre means I need to not visit again. I spoke with the manager who told me that a refund to my card was not going to happen and to use the gift card at another AMC theatre. After 10 minutes of her rolling her eyes and ignoring my request for a simple refund I asked for another manager. She continued to insist she was the manager and try to make me go away. I finally got her to get another manager who equally unhelpful. He also insisted that no refund to my card will be given and told me to call my credit card company and have the charges disputed. Going to the movies should be a happy experience. Not only is the customer service pathetic, the theatre is filthy! AMC needs to have better training of their employees!

An R rated movie means you must be 18 or accompanied by an adult. That isn't the fault of the movie theatre, that is your fault for not doing your due diligence. AMC clearly states that anyone under 17 MUST be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian (21 years or older) in order to attend an R rated film.

AMC Theatres amc gift card

My son and daughter in law recieved a gift card as a wedding present. We have no AMC Theatres in our state. How are they suppose to use it? It's not convenient to drive to other states to watch a movie When contacting AMC you can not get any response. The theatres near us also do not use Fandango? It's crazy that there are no options. They live in WV the closest is a couple of states over. Very inconvenient when you also have children as well.

AMC Theatres amc stubs list member and manager at this theater/false advertisement

Hi

I visited the amc Ridgefield park nj theater yesterday at 145 and had an incident that I am so upset about that I couldn't even watch the movie afterwards. I am an A list member and I was first on the premiere line to buy my movie ticket. There is only one teller and after she took two sets of people on the regular line I asked if there is anyone helping this line? the teller then took me next. Moving along to the concession line same thing, on helper only helping the regular line. I ask again is there anyone helping this line and a what appears to be a manager comes to help me. At that moment a customer on the regular line screams at be that I broke the line. I told him there are two lines . He calls me a " bit$$" and continues to yell that I broke the line. I again told him I didn't and pointed out there were two lines. he continued arguing with me so I finally turn to the manager and the worker and say are either one of you going to help me out and explain to him that I didn't break the line or are you going to continue to watch him yell at me. the manager says I will in a minute when he settles down. I finished paying and watched and the manager never said a word to him. I was afraid to walk to my theater in that this guy was going to follow me or perhaps be in the same theater as me and I didn't want another altercation. What kind of managers do you have working for you? My favorite part about your a list program is to avoid the long lines. you advertise before each movie and proclaim this to be one of the benefits about the program but no one is honoring because the managers/workers are not adhering to it. DO NOT ADVERTISE SUCH THEN.

AMC Theatres age policy

Tuesday February 5, my wife and I went to the Viera Florida AMC theater to see Green Book.

Directly behind me was a man, woman and a baby less than 1 year old. For half the movie, the baby made baby noises that were distracting but I was able to focus on the film. The mother took the baby out of the theater, but when she returned and placed the baby alone in the seat between the man and the woman, the baby began to cry. This time the noise was louder than the audio. So I politely asked them to take the baby outside while crying. The man picked up the baby and went into the aisle screaming that I was wrong and that he was getting the manager.
This resulted in a tense feeling and I would like a full refund because I was never able to enjoy the film/ The policy says no one under 14. Well the management sold a ticket to an infant.

AMC Theatres amc stubs a-list

As a customer, I can easily sign up for AMC Stubs A-List. However, to cancel it customers cannot cancel online. We have to call customer service agent (which takes forever and nobody answers) or submit a request online which takes several days for them to process. After I received the confitmation that my recurring bill was cancelled, I still get charged. There is no way for me to remove my credit card information from my account, which is ridiculous. I feel like they do that so that customers have no choice but to stay with them or make it difficult to cancel. A terrible business practice.

AMC Theatres a-list

I am unhappy about how you handle billing/payments. I was unaware that my account was on hold or even being cancelled. No email was sent or any contact made for the issue to be resolved prior to cancellation. I have several cards I could have used to make this payment. I tried several times to get a supervisor on the phone to assist me; the cowards kept relaying messages through their representatives. Secondly, I wanted assistance to uphold my $19.99 price instead of having to pay $23.95. Of course there's nothing they can do. It sounds like scam to get everyone on the price plan. I had 6 A-List accounts and because of the piss poor customer service, they will all be cancelled and anyone I know with the service, I will advise them to choose another theater. To add, i spoke with 3 different customer service reps which had very little knowledge on how to look up information in the system nor conduct proper customer service. For you to be as large of a corporation as you are, you should do better.

AMC Theatres military discount

Went to a movie for my birthday in Houma La with my family and ask for a military discount for my son and son in law both serving in the army and home for the holidays and was told the discount was only offered after 4:00 well that's sad they don't put a time on our protection so yes I just thought I would file a complaint and hope AMC changes this policy as it is ridiculous.

AMC Theatres amc mesquite 30 very bad management, poor customer service, filthy conditions

We had to stand outside in the ticket line to present our passes, in 37 degree weather for 30 minutes! After 20 minutes, I went inside to customer service to complain that there were only 2 windows open. They said they would send someone else, but didn't. I saw the manager out there taking cash, but she didn't do anything to solve the issue of the very long line. There was a VIP gate that allowed people to just walk up in front of everyone else. That was why all the other people were still standing there freezing! We were late to our movie. I told the manager that VIP deal was a very bad idea. And she needed to figure out a different system. She asked me if I wanted a refund. My husband wasn't even through the line yet! I told her, no, I wanted her to open more ticket windows and do something about all those people who were freezing out there. When we finally got in to the theater, there was popcorn all over the lobby floor, and at the trash receptacle, was overflowing trash, popcorn, and a ketchup bottle. When we exited 2 hours later, it was all still there! It was disgusting and no one had done anything about it. As we were leaving, I told the manager we would never come back to this theater, because it was filthy. On top of everything else. You need to do something about this. It is very bad management.

AMC Theatres customer service at box office counter

Experienced the worst situation of my moviegoing experiences ever, all before setting foot into a theater.
An employee and his supervisor, both laughed and scoffed at me and my wife over a simple problem with the AMC app. Unprofessional, rude and embarrassing.
The first employee kept saying "I didn't pay for anything" after showing him an email confirmation from AMC and kept arguing with me after I asked to speak with a supervisor, repeatedly.
Finally, a supervisor arrives, Luis Aquino, who presents the same behavior and attitude, defending and supporting the previous guy's actions, while smiling, smirking and aggressively throwing his hands over the register and leaning in at me and my wife. Disgusting. We just wanted to see a movie together on Christmas Eve. Video will be posted online about this. Completely unnecessary and embarrassing for other customers around us as well. Completely shocked by this low-grade level of customer service from AMC.

AMC Theatres incorrect billing for food

I have the ACM Theatre app on my phone. I went to the AMC Theatre in Menlo Park, NJ to watch a movie today. As soon as I was in the proximity of the theatre, a notification from the AMC app popped-up on my phone. It said I had a $5 reward.
I ordered for food in the dine-in theatre, and showed them the reward. The server took the phone and punched in numbers from the reward into his order taking device.
I paid for the remaining amount of the bill.
On coming home, I checked the receipt and realized that the $5 reward wasn't applied on the order at all. And now my AMC account does not have the $5 reward either.
I chatted with their customer service and called AMC as well, but none of them made it right.
They're asking me to go to the theatre again and talk to someone there to resolve my issue.
It surprising that a company so big could nickle and dime their customers like this.

AMC Theatres website stinks extremely designed poorly.

Your old web sight was fine. Told where the movie's were and what time they started. Your new sight stinks. User unfriendly. No time's listed no phone numbers to call for imformation. Why in the hell did you change your web sight. If it's not broken don't fix it. Also your price of pop corn and candy is ludicris. Talk about screw the customer. And soda 5 to 6 dollars. Your plain nuts. So im posting on facebook what I think of your sight. Until you change it i'll never go back again. Period! Fire the illiterate who designed your sight.

AMC Theatres gift card bonus card expiration date

I am extremely upset that the email I received that duped me into buying a gift card that came with a $10 bonus card (if I bought a $50 gift card), has an expiration date 6 days after Christmas! If this is not changed, I assure you I will be posting on every blog and complaint board I can find about how unfair this bogus advertising is to consumers. If it is not resolved, I will not be renewing my AMC Stubs Premier membership when it expires. It's too bad, we really like your theater. But we have a new theater (EPIC) that is 8 miles closer to us now. We just needed a reason to make a change. Looks like this is it.

AMC Theatres late movie start

Last night I went to see Fantastic Beasts at one of your imax theaters in Lawton, ok. The screen remained blank for 40 minutes after the movie was supposed to start. When we went to go tell someone, the first thing the employee said was "oh [censored]" and promised to skip the previews. I am concerned because none of the employees were surprised and my guess is that its a common occurrence.

My family and I went to mission valley AMC about 9:45 PM on Friday November 23 2018 we are A list members so go to the Alist line and waitimg for our turn to go the ticket window there was only one girl at the box office I know she was very busy but she kept on calling people from the other line and we were standing in line for fifteen minutes she didn't even noticed that my family was standing in line so I suggested that just to customer service we all walk in the building towards customer service when got there we didn't a hello welcome to AMC theatre my name is and how may I help u the GirlAlex was like sitting down and slouching the other guy was standing up they were in deep conversation not even a smile and my family told them what happened Alex was like should have gotten ur tickets at the box office and the guy said that also not even a apology let us help u here we will do it this time but there should not be a but especially for Alist customers I never complained about AMC I really enjoy going to the movies and almost every other day.have good holiday season than u

AMC Theatres ticket purchase

On November 23 I took my granddaughter to the 1:00 showing of "The Nutcracker…" We arrived 30 minutes before the showing. There were no ticket windows open so everyone had to purchase tickets at the concession stand. There were only 4 of 8 registers open with 18 movies showing. We stood in line for one hour for tickets and missed 30 minutes of the movie. This was completely unacceptable. I will never visit an AMC theatre again.

AMC Theatres theater closing 15 minutes after the last show but won't let me in because I was there 20 minutes after the last show

On October 29, 2018 I tried to go see a 9PM movie at the Carmike Theater. I have a special needs child so its always a challenge getting a sitter. I was not able to leave until 9PM so I end up getting to my favorite movie theater at 9:20pm. I rarely go to the movies but I had a pass that expired on October 31, 2018. So I was eager to use it. It really was the only night I could go.

So I arrive and you can see 3 visible people behind the concession stand. So I knock and they ignore me and my friend. I knocked on the door more then banged on the door, nothing no acknowledging we are there just ignoring. I kept at it until someone would notice us I would say 10 minutes of knocking. They did know we were there but they ignored us. So someone comes out of the side door. He says, we are sorry but we close 15 minutes after the last show. I said, but I came last week I was also here 20 minutes after the last show and I got in. I said the previews are still running though.

Anyway he says, sorry you have to leave. I said, can I speak to a manager? So he said yes. I think that persons name was Justin (but not sure) So he calls someone they open the door to let him back in and he goes back in that side door. Now we are waiting for a manager. It took at least 15 more minutes maybe 20. The manager comes does not introduce himself as a manager. He said can I help you? So I say are you a manager? and he says yes but seemed nervous. So I explain to him I have a pass its going to expire and I came to the movie 20 minutes late why cant we go in to watch the movie? He said we closed all draws at 9:15PM so we have no way of checking you in. So my friend says but what if we don't buy anything? He said sorry I cant help you. My friend said but you can its just you won't.

I was not able to use my free pass. I tried yesterday and today to go but each time I would of arrived 20 minutes after the last movie. I mean how is that ok? The theater was full. There are people at the counter. The manager doesn't care my pass is going to expire and I have a special needs child which is why I cant get to normal movie times. Why should I have to share that? I still have my free pass that expires today and was not able to use it because of that manager and those rude employees.

That manager, if he was one at all. Needs a class on customer service. AMC theaters is not the marines its a movie theater. All people in this world can't get to movies at the exact time. I'm frustrated because I wanted to see a movie on October 29 and could not because the people behind the counter closed all draws but what if someone in the theater would of wanted more popcorn, would the draw be open?

I am so upset about this. I want another pass. I can mail you the pass I did not get to use. I think you need new rules if this is how people are treated cause they absolutely cant get to a movie at 9:15 the latest. So upsetting.

AMC Theatres unethical behavior and contamination

I recently had date night with my 2 children, all together it was 4 of us. We normally would go to amc in spring location but due to our recent move we are now frequent goers to the amc deerbrook location. However on a previous visit which was 09/18/2018 my partner and I went to see the nun at the 5:45 showing time, on a tuesday the theater was not that busy. I asked the food server if I could have fresh popcorn and he graciously said yes and not only that he brought it to the theater where the movie was showing. Not only was that great customer service but he made amc look amazing as far as making us feel welcomed and comfortable and not to mention catering to the need of the customers. Now on 09/20/2018 a very busy day we took the family to see transylvania 3 and I asked for fresh popcorn the food server tells me "we do not make fresh popcorn" so I was shocked but still got it for the kids.. When the server gave us the bucket my daughter and I "eat out of it" and it was too stale so I said nevermind ill just get a small one.. He took the bucket and "dumped" it back into the pile of the other popcorn... I was "shocked: that was the most un sanitary thing to do.. So at the point I wondered how many times have they done this with previous customers.. This was disgusting and I would love to recieve a call to discuss this with corporate or bbb

AMC Theatres a-list membership-unethical behavior; scam; corporate fraud

I was attempting to purchase tickets to a movie Monday, August 20th through the AMC app. It prompted me for payment information and I clicked on what was thought to be my credit card when it was really the A-LIST membership. I thought I was clicking the box to agree to using my credit card on file to purchase the ticket instead it was signing me up for A-list. I recently upgraded my STUB membership and had no desire AT ALL to upgrade again to A-LIST. When I called AMC on the third try, (the first two times I was either hung up on then transferred to a "dead line") I had a gentlemen at first tell me he could help me then said he couldn't. He would have to bill me a $39 cancellation fee. At that point I had the "membership" for the duration of the movie I went to see-2 hours! I asked to speak with the supervisor. "Mina" was put on the phone and what I could extract from what sounded slightly incoherent was that I only had two options. Like I was being held hostage to AMC. Option 1-the $39 cancellation fee or Option 2, remain a hostage of A LIST until November. I respectfully requested a concession on the basis I've been a customer for years with AMC and purposely decline using FANDANGO and REGAL CINEMAS in favor of AMC. This meant nothing to her and again told me my "options". I am extremely upset and disappointed with the route AMC has taken on this one. My loyalty stopped at that call and now I am requesting a cancellation of not only this A LIST membership but my STUBS MEMBERSHIP and would also like a refund for the STUBS membership I upgraded to. I no longer want to be a customer or give any more money to this franchise unless this is resolved. This is obvious Corporate Fraud and is extremely disappointing.
