Allstate Insurance Policy cancelation

I thought my policy was on auto pay. It was not so I received an email no phone call. I immediately tried to contact my agent stephanie stranieri and every voicemail I tried to leave I was told her mail box was full. So saturday I kept trying by calling the 866 number and the computer kept hanging up on me because the problem was not on there pre programed questions. Later in the day I finally got ahold of someone to re-instate my policy. I was told it was terminated, I was frantic I begged them to help and was informed that it would be a day and a half before they could do anything. Monday late morning I finally got a call from my agent. I asked her for help so she informed me that the only thing she could do was to offer me a new policy I said ok then she informed me that my premium was going to be doubled because I did not qualify for any discounts... Now I missed one payment got no call from my agent now I am being told that I have t o pay double? I asked her for help and she said she would ask her underwriters... Then she gave me another phone number to contact her. Well it was tuesday night and I called her new number and asked if she was going to help me? Well no answer again and no help. I also have a renters policy with them. So not sure why I could not have help.
Well wednesday morning I called gieco insurance and they were more then happy to help me... So as far as allsate insurance probably would not back their policy and the statement that you are in good hands is so bogus I would never recommend this insurance company is just not worth it!

Allstate Insurance Unfair car evaluation of amount of total loss provided

Company provide replacement value assessment of my totaled car in the amount of 8, 600, 00 an took almost two months to come up with the results
Comparable prices for similar carsd in a 50 mile radius was about 2, 000.00 more
I sent pictures of CARFAX website showing the discrepancy and specifically the location selling those cars

AllState absolutely ignored my request and never provided feedback
Due to the long wait we ended up cashing the check since we need the down payment for another car

Extremelly disappoined with the service provided I even had to pay the 800.00 deductible so they could perform the paperwork. Lousy service l They lost a customer for good.

Allstate Insurance Auto insurance cancellation

Under New York state law insurance companies and agents must notify policy holders 20 day prior to cancellation of coverage. Allstate and our Agent did not do so. Now we have to face a 14 day suspension of driving, $378 in fines, get another policy with a new company and pay $1, 000 more a year all due to Allstate not sending the proper notification. We have been a Platinum covered member with auto, 3 cars covered on this policy for 6 year. We also hold our Home Owners insurance with Allstate as well. I love how we have been treated poor for an error on their part. Allstate make this right, because as you say "your in good hands", we have been in bad hands with this.

Allstate Insurance Homeowners

Been with them 20 years. Dont know why, they have Never paid a claim. I am drawn in by their size and perceived reputation. Last straw. Lightning strike. Lost half my power, appliances and a hole in my wall. They had the nerve to ask me how old the paint on my wall is. They also want me to pay for all inspections and repairs up front. I have $25 in the bank.

Allstate Insurance Auto insurance not being responsive

On 10/20/20 one of my work vehicles, a truck and a 14' trailer, was struck by a vehicle insured by Allstate and both were totaled. It has been 8 days since the accident. I have been in contact with their claims department, sent pictures of the damage. Someone from the claims department called me today 10/28 and told me I should make a claim with my insurance company because this claim is going to take a long time. However speaking with the insured an adjustor looked at his vehicle today. In 8 days this claim should be further along than call my insurance company. Someone at Allstate should be moving this forward in the process. Instead of paying for a rental vehicle, their claims department told me to pay for a rental myself and then submit the invoice for reimbursement. I have tried to talk with a manager or supervisor but have had no luck. I don't feel I am in good hands.

Allstate Insurance Rodney Buckley / hit and run driver

Richardson, Texas, resident Rodney Buckley struck and injured a pedestrian and caused property damage on Centennial Boulevard in Richardson, Texas, on October 19, 2020. His insurance adjustor, Majdi Madhi, at Allstate Insurance, immediately told the victim, 'So what? We don't have to deal with you. What are you going to do? Sue us? Feel free to waste your time, losers.' Despite a non-related witness, a police report, actual injury and damage to property and the fact that the irresponsible, possibly drunk/high driver Rodney Buckley admitted fault then left, Mahdi thinks there are no options for automobile assault victims covered under his company's policies. He's wrong. Feel free to call unethical, immoral company Allstate at 1-800-ALLSTATE or rude, unprofessional insurance adjustor Majdi Mahdi at his Allstate office number 210-482-4311 and tell him what you think of insurance companies who swindle, belittle and insult victims hit by his unethical, immoral, criminal company's policy holders. If you or someone you know is actually supporting corrupt company Allstate, here's a question: If their nasty, condescending, unprofessional adjustors treat victims like this - who will then file lawsuits against their policy holders - how do you think scums like Majdi Mahdi will treat you eventually?

Allstate Insurance Customer for 30 years, very disappointed.

Hello,
I am writing in response to the disappointment I have been experiencing in dealing with "Allstate", after 30 plus years of providing the company with my funds as a client!

I have had homeowners and vehicle insurance for many years, starting with Charlie Doty and then transferring over to Peter Stockwell. I called Allstate with integrity to report that my home would be occupied by a tenant. I was then referred to Trevor Olson (without explanation of why). Trevor explained to me that Allstate no longer provided homeowner and then proceeded to provide a quote which was extremely expensive. He did not take the time to thoroughly explain the quote, I did inquire about specifics to learn that I was not going to be covered by allstate but was basically brokered out to another insurance company. It was not until I had this conversation did I have any information regarding this new company which would be holding my policy.

I am looking to get two homes and two vehicles plus our business on one policy. I would have loved to continue doing business with Allstate although this has been disheartening to say the least. Do you not value your long time clients?

Today I received a letter from American Modern who informed me that based on my credit report that I will be charged more than average/standard. I am not receiving the best rate. I have been giving my funds to Allstate consistently for 30 plus years and find this appalling!

I called Trevor to initiate the policy yesterday despite the excessive fees. I have not heard back from him to confirm the coverage. I have not yet had tenants occupy until October 1st and would like to confirm coverage while I shop for another carrier for our multiple insurance needs.

Allstate Insurance Rear ended by allstate customer

I was rear ended by an allstate insurance customer. The process to get my car repaired /rental issued has been a nightmare. I have had to call 15 times since all of this started
1) assigning claims agent that had been terminated from the company
2) taking extremely long to approve the repairs submitted by the shop. Took multiple follow ups from me.
3) issuing me a rental not equivalent to my current car.
4) cancelling the rental for no reason.
5) ending the rental before the car has been fixed.
I wish this was exaggerated but every step of the way has been extremely painful and time consuming.

Allstate Insurance Condo insurance policy years of major over charges by local agency

In 2005 we setup our condo insurance policy through Allstate Miami Beach agent Joseph D. Conway Inc. Our condo met all requirements for discounts regarding sprinkler systems, alarms and portal fire retardant dispensers. Nothing changed over the next 14 years except for improvements on the systems. The Conway agency was made aware of all this from the start, however they did not note it on our annual applications. It was only by accident that I discovered this last fall. I discovered we had been over paying $400-600 per year for every year we've had the policy with Conway. We met with Conway in person and below are the follow-up emails:

When Willie and I met with you on November 6th, (you acknowledged that your agency was at fault) for the error on our original application, which has resulted in our being overcharged more than $6, 000.00 since 2005. The fault, you said, was with your original agent who completed and submitted the application, because she did not note that we had fire sprinklers in the apartment and the entire building. As a result, we've been overpaying hundreds of dollars each year since 2005. (This year, once the error was corrected thanks to Willie's intervention, we saved about $650.00)
You called St. Johns while we were in the office and asked for a retroactive credit. You warned us that it would probably be denied initially, but said you would take it up the ladder to higher and higher authorities. And then, you said you'd get back to us. So, I was very disappointed to receive this "form letter" email - addressed to me but sent to Willie - from Elba Granja. Willie and I had been expecting to hear back from you directly. And given the circumstances, I would think that any correspondence from your office at this point would be accurate - since inaccuracy in the past has led to the problem we're dealing with right now.
We assume that you are still "taking it up the ladder" and that something will ultimately be done to rectify this situation. We definitely expect some level of credit from St. John's and/or Allstate for this costly error.
Please give us an update yourself, as promised. We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. In the meantime, have a nice Thanksgiving!

I’m sorry if there was any miscommunication. At no time have I ever acknowledged fault on the parts of my agency. This issue was first brought to my attention in 2019. You have since been issued the credits for the 2019 policy. As you are aware, your policy was reviewed and signed back in 2005. At no time from 2005 until 2019 was this issue ever brought to our attention. As we have previously advised you, our office has no record of any communication regarding this issue in 2015. It’s unfortunate that you did not catch this when you reviewed your policy when it was signed back in 2005. As discussed, in an effort to see if this matter could be corrected I contacted the insurance company to see if anything could be done. We are currently waiting to see if the insurance company can do anything to correct your oversight. As soon as we hear back we will advise you accordingly.

We received no further communications from Conway and moved our policy to another Allstate agency and are now paying about $750 less per year than with Conway. We have the same policy with the same insurer. In total we overpaid $6-8000 during our 14 years with Conway due to failure of his agents to include this fire prevention discount from the beginning. We checked in with them almost every year during renewal and often spoke with someone new who was now handling our policy. In short the Conway agent failed us and did not represent the kind of customer service we expected from an Allstate representative. In the end he made no real effort to reimburse us for what he clearly said in person was their mistake. At this point can Allstate doing anything to make our situation right.

Allstate Insurance Homeowners policy

On 08/04/20 I filed a Homeowner Policy Claim due to damage for windstorm in Rhode Island. Claim # 0595465816.

I had abutting property tree/limbs/branches go into my property. This has landed on covered outside storage area as well as landscaped area.

I was contacted by claims adjustor and told that I have a $500 deductible and she was going to factor in funds for cleanup and removal. My policy does reflect covering claim for damage to outside covered structures with a $500 deductible.

Then both the claims adjustor Gisella Wong and her supervisor Ashley Ripple continually upset me causing me illness by continuing changing back and forth as to coverage; calling family members saying there was no coverage; then, finally, closing the case without my knowledge and/or consent.

I find this behavior not only unprofessional and unethical but egregious.

I am a 66 year old senior currently undergoing cancer treatment and they actually made me sick; Ashley was so bad on the phone by asking me questions then continually talking over me becoming confrontational that I had to hang up.

I believe that Ashley Ripple purposefully cancelled the claim.

R/sir, your claime dept. Gave me above claim no. And repair estimate too. Later they denied claim. Why?

Itook right turn on s. Carrier pkwy — after going half block your clint hit my car at driver side. I was on front and she was behind me, suppose tobe she has to watch my car.
Allstate claim hanger favor your clint! Why?
I am a old man & having only one car, as I repaired my car through my insurance.
So, please re-open above claim & give me justice, otherwise, I am thinking to complaint to state consumer department.

Allstate Insurance Flood / life insurance

Allstate is still billing my flood insurance to a mortgage company that I haven't done business with for ten years, my mortgage has been paid off for three years! I told them in person last year to bill me and not them. They do not care.

I requested last year on numerous occasions that allstate switch my agent from the lying incompetent boob that is currently not representing my interests to one that will at least make an effort... They have absolutely refused.

I purchased a whole life policy from allstate for my daughter one day prior to her 18th birthday. The salesmanb failed to inform me that she would be listed as a smoker and pay smoker rates for ten years and if we waited one day that she would pay the smaller non smoker rate. When they finally informed me that she was listed as a smoker I told the agent to fix it. He did absolutely nothing! It took three complaints to the state insurance commisioner to make them act, and even then they refused to apply the correct rate.

My advice; please never look to allstate for your insurance needs!

Allstate Insurance Agent incompetence

We have had a collection filed against us for homeowners insurance that was paid from escrow via our mortgage company. We had multiple communications with our agent over the course of many months to get this corrected. Our agent is incompetent and we will be looking for a new insurance company but first we'd like to give allstate a chance at the corporate level to correct this. There is no way to contact corporate. They refer you back to the agent that caused the problem to begin with.

Allstate Insurance Customer service and benefits claim

My employer offers us the benefit with All State insurance for hospitalization and illness. My Husband was hospitalized for four days in early March 2020. We have sent over the paperwork that they requested via fax and certified mail several times.
Every time, they deny the claim stating that they need more information.
My husband has been following up. They tell him that they need more records from the hospital, when my husband told them clearly that they have received everything.
I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. His name was Qwan Jackson. He was very rude and stated that they need medical records from his primary physician. My husband's primary Dr. had already sent this. We have a copy of it all.
It is now 2 months since my husband has filed this claim, and he is being given the run-around. The representatives do not show any effort or care to resolve this. I asked to speak with a supervisor, as I expected to deal with someone who would show some professionalism. Instead of being customer oriented, he was rude and aggressive.
I am very disappointed with the customer service. I suggest they get some professional training from the Disney company on Customer service.

Allstate Insurance charge for removing a checking account from my allstate app even though I added a credit card.

I took over from my husband, getting insurance on our real property and chattels last year. I downloaded the app, removed the easy pay because the bank info was changed. I added a new credit card. I had no idea that by taking off the old checking account number and adding my credit card, took me off "easy pay" and I was charged 39 plus dollars. This made absolutely NO SENSE to me as I always pay in full prior to due date.. I get on the chat line last week and was told there would be absolutely no reimbursement of that $39. It is policy she said. I have to ask, how stupid is this policy for people like me who pay in full. And one more thing. I get a notice on my app saying that my policy may be cancelled due to the $39.86 being past due. I immediately paid that, was charged another 3 dollars and contacted my agent. His hands are tied. I think the powers that be had better get together and fix this unfair "policy". There is no place on the app saying anything about a charge for removing a bank account. My credit card is there and registered. I am asking for reimbursement of that $39.86. We have been excellent customers and always pay on time. I reached out to Allstate's complaint department only to be told no reimbursement because it was my fault!. I would appreciate a positive resolution to this dilemma and a policy update to prevent precious time being wasted both with the agency and the consumer. Allstate should be mandated to inform clients of a charge on their app. If it were not for my Allstate agent I would have left them by now. We are veterans, seniors and on fixed incomes.

Your'e mayhem advertisement with the dog(s) is very disturbing! The kissing of Tina Fey by the dog (man) and remark about the poop...what are you trying t get across to your customers? In this day and age with all of the talk about women being put in bad situations with men - this just shows how little you think of women. I am really nauscious when I see this advertisement. What were you thinking? Please take this discriminating ad off the air! It is SICK!

Allstate Insurance car insurance

On approximately 09/22/2019 a bus at my job (2525 N Shadeland Street, Indianapolis, IN) was seen (by numerous witnesses) backing up in the parking lot and hitting the mirror on the drivers side of my vehicle. A gentleman in my building who works in Admin went w/me to the bus driver who was waiting on a group of people visiting a school located in another area of the building. He obtained the information about the bus company (rented) and also addressed with the driver that she was seen hitting my vehicle. She denied it and left the location with the visitors on the bus.

I reported this to Allstate immediately. I called two times that day and reported all of the pertinent information to the 1-800 number. This included a contact for the bus company and phone number of the person Allstate should speak w/about the accident. I should point out that I did ask if I should contact the police for a report and was advised that I did not need to do so.

I then waited and was given information to get my vehicle fixed. After my vehicle was fixed, I asked my insurance agent about my $500 that I paid out of pocket. I was told I had to wait until everything was settled. I waited and then contacted my agent again. I was told at this time that the request was denied because the video does not show the bus making contact with my vehicle. I asked about the witnesses and was told that this was not important in the case. After more calls and emails I was told to contact personnel at Allstate. I have not received any calls back. I followed the proper procedures and Allstate did not investigate properly nor did they ever provide a copy of the video as I had asked for from my agent. I have also asked my agent since that time for any contact information to file a complaint. I found this site on my own.

I am disagreeing with the decision because there was no investigation nor were any witnesses contacted. There were numerous witnesses who saw and heard the bus hit my car. The video was submitted many months after the accident happened.

The driver left the scene of the accident two times and I am sure that is a problem for the bus company; as well as, giving them any chance to alter the video.

I respectfully request a reply and an explanation of Allstate policy regarding video and witnesses to an accident and responsibility in investigating information provided.

Allstate Insurance refunds

I have written 4 letters, beginning in december 2019, to cancel my car and homeowners insurances after my car insurance went up $47.in the first 6 months (no tickets or accidents). Two weeks ago, this office requested that I mail them copies of my new insurances with the effective date of december 3, 2019 to obtain my refunds. I am still waiting. I will never do business with allstate and will abvsolutely never recommend it to anyone! Do something!
