Allstate Insurance Unrequested unauthorized property inspection

Recently I received a notice from Allstate risk management team informing me that an inspection of my property had been scheduled. I knew nothing about this. I called my local agent. I was told this was a routine thing and it is done all the time. I told him I have had insurance with Allstate for over 40 years and no one has ever been here. I said that this inspection was to include but not be limited to the following. Property access, windows roof, shrubs, backyard content, just to name a few. I asked if they had my permission to do this, the answer was no. I asked if I had a claim filed with them ever, the answer was no. I asked what was the reason for the inspection. I was told they did not have current pictures of my property and felt that I may be hiding something. I asked if I ever signed an agreement to allow them to do this whenever they felt it was necessary, the answer was no. I was told that it was possible that I may be lying or hiding something about this property. They needed to see the contents of my backyard. I was they told if I did not allow them on the property that my policy would be cancelled or not renewed. I replied that this property was posted any anyone not permitted access would be arrested for trespassing. At this point I heard a chuckle in the background. I was also told that they needed proof that my house was still on this property. I said I have been paying insurance for 40 years on this house and I am not living on a vacant lot. There was quite a bit more conversation about this and I told him to put a stop to this inspection. The reply was I am not sure if I can do this. I then repeated if it did not stop I would have them arrested. This was not meant as a deterrent but a promise. There were 2 other calls and I was told my policy would not be renewed. My solution to this was cancel my home and auto policy and go elsewhere. This is exactly what I did. Bottom line is that no one has the right to schedule an inspection of my property without my consent. I was not asked I was told that this was going to happen. I doubt that cancelling or not renewing my policy because they did not get their way is both childish and probably not legal. Being told that I may be lying or hiding something is no way to conduct business. I certainly did not appreciate the insinuation that I was a liar or trying to deceive. I am the owner and pay for it. This does not give you any special privilege to do something behind my back. I am now no longer an Allstate advocate or policy holder. I am greatly disappointed in this behavior.

Allstate Insurance Claims processing

Reference Claim: [protected]
Date of accident: November 28, 2021 @1715 hrs
Place of accident: Marketplace Drive, Hampton, VA
Jade was the first rep I spoke with on 11/29/21 @1053hrs and she stated that the insured reported NO damage to either vehicle. She went further to state that the accident was listed as an "intersection accident". That part is very much true because their blind, crippled and crazy insured blew through the stop sign and T-boned my huge GMC Truck. Yes, their insured failed to yield the right of way(stopping at a damn stop sign) and collided with my vehicle.
Kenyia was the next rep I spoke with on 11/29/21 @1318hrs, and she stated that she couldn't even locate a damn policy for the insured. She claimed that she searched multiple systems and exhausted all of her resources without being able to locate a policy or a claim?
Then I spoke with Kaitlyn on 11/30/21 @1050hrs, who stated that there was NO information on the claim number that I gave her. So I gave her the insured policy number and guess what? My claim number was a duplicate claim. So the first person I spoke with was too lazy to even search for the first claim and then Kenyia was too ignorant to even try to locate anything. Now, back to Kaitlyn, who gave me the correct claim number. Furthermore, nobody attempted to reach the insured because they(Allstate) had her number wrong in their system. I gave them her correct number and the correct policy number. So Allstate is doing a piss poor and sorry [censored] job to date regarding this claim.
Next on to Avis Ellen and her Manager. I attempted to contact both of them and neither of them were reachable. To make things worse, the manager has the voicemail message stating that he was not in the office until Monday. Well today is Wednesday, so where are you? Derrick claimed he tried calling you and Avis and wasn't able to get a hold of either? Yet, this doesn't surprise me because as I stated, Allstate has been doing such a bang up job thus far.
As you look at the vehicle pics from the accident you can clearly see, I mean Stevie Wonder can clearly see, that her vehicle damaged my vehicle. The white paint all along the drivers side of my vehicle doesn't lie. Plus, my pictures are date and time stamped.

Desired outcome: Pay for the repairs to my vehicle as well as pay for my rental coverage.

Allstate Insurance I was hit by an Allstate Driver in the Middle of Pandemic and Offered $1500 settlement

I was hit by an Allstate driver September 6, 2020 in the middle of the pandemic while trying to uber to recover from a total loss accident two months prior. The driver backed directly into my driver side which caused a relapse in my pain and me not being able to Uber or rent a vehicle through uber because of the claim. I lost almost 3 months of work and lost the little I had left. The adjuster on my claim initially advised my legal team they would only offer me six thousand dollars to cover everything. Including Medical bills, Time away from work, Pain and suffering, and Legal Fees. My Attorneys knowing my situation advised me it would be best to release them and settle with Allstate for the six thousand and try to negotiate my medical bills. I was able to get the medical bills reduced from $4700 to $1200 and no longer had any legal fees due to me releasing my counsel. The insurance adjuster then offered me $1200 which I advised was completely unethical and a lot less then the original offer when I had legal representation. She refused to change even after I explained my circumstances and the fact that there was a Pandemic and no jobs available. I then spoke to her supervisor who only offered $1500. At this point I am looking into filing a law suit. I can not understand why Allstate would not do the right thing and pay out what they initially advised my legal team.

Allstate Insurance Billing issue - will not provide paper billing

We have had Allstate insurance on our autos and home for the past 30 years with no problems. Three months ago we stopped being billed (paper billing) which we did not request. I called my local Allstate company and corporate and requested them to resolve this issue, they said it is a new company policy (which was never relayed to insureds) to only do on-line billing. We are older and do not check email or the computer on a regular basis and would really like to keep Allstate as our Insurance Carrier but if they cannot provide us with the service we have had for 30 years I will have no choice but to look for another Insurance carrier. This is the only company we deal wth that does not give their customers the choice of paper vs online billing. Very upset with this change and lack of understanding on Allstate's part for their older insured's.

I have started doing business with Susan Fahs and want a joke it has been the worst agency I have ever deal with and Will not be doing business with her and I want to move my one condo insurance policy with another agency in Ft Myers
or I will be looking for a different company ASAP

Allstate Insurance Auto claims

I was rear-ended while stopped at a red light by a local landscaper company John Gibbs Inc. Trying to get reimbursed for the accident has been a complete charade and comedy of errors with Allstate. They took 1.5 months to acknowledge their client liability and approve the repairs, the website to track the claim doesn't work for non-Allstate clients to create an account, Ms. Tiffany Guido is generally unavailable as the Adjuster (tried calling several times and left voicemail) as is her "supposed" back-up she refers to in her voicemail and although I drive a full-size car, they only provided an economy rental. So far the experience has been terrible and confirms my decision to leave Allstate after 30 years and go to State Farm for auto coverage. PS it was also $900 cheaper. Allstate tried to jack up my rate after 30 years even though I had no claims, accidents, or tickets. YOU ARE IN [censored] HANDS WITH ALLSTATE! PS I was "bundled" before dropping Auto with their Homeowners, Wind and Hail/Flood, and Auto for 30 years as well! Bottom line... Allstate doesn't give a crap. Their online systems stink too.

My Dad was involved in a fire in his camper insured by Allstate. Claim filed in July… we are still paying insurance premiums and not a word on this claim. The last place you need insurance is from Allstate.

Allstate Insurance Incorrect information and misleading quotes in addition to problems with switching insruance

Hello Chris Customer Advocate,
After yesterdays conversation I felt very disappointed and frustrated. To recap.  We switched our insurance from progressive, whom we had for 12 years and 2 claims totaling $ 1, 200  with 3 cars, a motorcycle and a home.  We switched because the very nice man Brayden Smith worked the numbers and we found we could save $300 dollars annually. As a teacher of a senior who is planning college, saving $300 dollars is important. 

Less than a month into our service we discovered that our registration for the  BMW was incorrect on our Allstate policy at the MVA.  They caught the mistake.  When I corrected the mistake it increased the pay $17  for that vehicle.  I was frustrated since I was at the MVA and trying to correct this over the phone while trying to hold my place in line.

Second incident is when I went home that night and realized that all registration numbers were incorrect and the Jeep year was incorrect. The increases in premium continued to change.  I would be told one quote on the phone to then see and increase from that number on the documents.  I knew my daughter would be getting her license during the month before the switch and discussed the estimate with Brayden Smith originally to make sure I was getting a good deal.

I have had to call Allstate several times prior to my original request to review my documents and address the complain that what I was told and sent via email for premium had increased 47% for my Subaru, 96% for the BMW and 85% for the Jeep. A total increase of $452.  

I contacted Allstate after realizing the registration numbers were incorrect and followed up on 10/04, 10/05, 10/09, 10/12, and 10/18.  Most of these call were to reconfirm that we had insurance and were covered.  We had to contact Allstate repeatedly because they would add my daughter then not have her listed.  We had policy cards with incorrect vehicle information.  The MVA contacted us noting "WE had NO coverage"  - Allstate did not share with them our coverage.

After four weeks of constant follow up, weekly hour long phone calls and incorrect information we were extremely frustrated.  

I had hoped when we talked you would say this in not a common practice of Allstate and the fact that premiums increase on all vehicles and in 2 of the them nearly doubling is not a common practice of Allstate. 

Your response of "I reviewed the file and there is nothing Allstate can do", really concerns me from an organization that closes there emails with Your satisfaction is important to us.

Allstate Insurance Auto insurance in Michigan

My accident was April 8th 2021 and I have uninsured motorists coverage plus supplement property damage of $1 million and Michigan's financial responsibility basic. My car has been sitting waiting for repair even after I was determined to not be at fault and I have not been paid any pip. I currently have no transportation and no way to receive health treatment from the accident. I filed in court against the other party and allstate claim adjuster never forwarded my case to the legal team so I had no representation in court from allstate. I AM NOT IN GOOD HANDS!
I have been misled into misrepresentation from this company

My Desired Outcome of this matter that I desire:
For Allstate to release payment to Mr. Myers, who is my contractor. For Allstate to pay the additional storage fee, for the storing of my Household goods, clothing, etc. And for Allstate to pay for my stay at a Extended Stay Hotel or Airbnb ( in a safe area in Jacksonville, FL) until my home is repaired, (all inspections are passed, all utilities are back on, my household goods placed back into my home). This delay is not my fault - I am truly trusting someone can help me.

On October 26, 2020 - house fire at my home. Laundry room and kitchen totally destroyed; the back porch obtain significant damage. What the fire didn't destroy, the water damaged the rest by the fireman putting out the fire.
Policy covers Living Expenses at: lesser of $19, 999 or 12 months. According to Kelsey Kennedy Claim Adjuster - the $19, 999. was spent on my hotel stay from October 26, 2020 - Jan. 11, 2021 - then moved into an AirBNB until Feb 28, 2021,
I have spoken to Kelsey Kennedy, Ashley Kalb (Ms. Kennedy Mgr) Amy Poole and Linda Sears, without this issue being resolved.
** Please see attached charges from the hotel **** which clearly indicates that $19, 999.00 was not spent for living expenses from 26 October - 28 Feb 2021

Since moving out of the AirBnb in February 2021 - I have had to move around and stayed with various people, even in different States because according to Allstate - all monies have been spent - even though Allstate knew that an Appraiser and an Umpire was assigned to this case.

I am a Senior citizen living on a fixed income, need a decent place to live, until my claim with Allstate is paid and my home repaired! in eleven days it will be a year since the fire and my home is still in that same condition! I want Allstate to pay this claim, pay for the additional storage time of my household goods/clothing until my items are placed back in my home AND Allstate pays for my stay at an Extended Stay hotel or AirBnb until my home is repaired. NONE of this additional time is due to my fault!

Puro clean was assigned by Allstate to prepare an estimate for the damages, once it was completed Puro clean estimated that the repairs should cost $67, 000.00 - $68, 000.00. I was then informed by Amy Poole that Puro Clean was not able to do any of the repairs and that I could hire a contractor. I selected Mr. Myers from Serv-Pro to do the repairs, Mr. Myers included the repairs from the fire that Puro clean did not include. So, an Independent Appraiser was assigned, by Allstate to represent them to negotiate review the property and make a decision. After Mr. Jones (the Appraiser) and Mr. Myers (the Contractor) could not come to an agreement - an umpire was assigned. Mr. Harry Youdell, an independent umpire - reviewed the property and agreed with Mr. Myers on the repairs .
Now, Mr. Jones is disputing with the contractor Mr. Myers about the cost of the repairs that was agreed to! It seems as if, Allstate and its representatives are determine to not pay this claim!

In the meantime! everything I own in this world was cleaned and stored by Mr. Brian Slaymon of 1800packout of Jacksonville (the company sent out by Allstate) Mr. Slaymon is being told by Amy Poole of Allstate, that any additional fee occurred for storage past the 6 months that Allstate paid, is at cost to the customer! I am a 65 year old woman living on a fixed income - where is the money is to come from?

Allstate Insurance Auto insurance claim

My Parked car got hit in a store parking lot, when I came out of the store with my daughter I found my bumper was ripped clean off and pieces on the ground, Long story short, I got video and pictures and her insurance info and file a claim the same day, Allstate agent's gave me the run around saying they can't reach the other party and can't go forward with the claim, I called every other day only to get the same response, fast forward 4 weeks later The adjuster get ahold of me and tells me they denied the claim cause I didn't have enough evidence of the Lady actually hitting my car (I was in the store, how do you stand and watch someone hit your car and video tape it when your inside the store shopping) they told me sometime in the future if they ever hear from the lady that hit me, They will continue to look into it, but told me I have to search for video's and get the police involved first, In the mean time their sorry I have to fix my own vehicle, and still pay the premium each month, I just cancelled them and got another insurance company, Allstate really really really sucks!

Allstate Insurance Agent help

I have a motorcycle insurance and towing policy through Allstate.
Yesterday my bike broke down. out. After calling Allstate towing for 6 hours
I could not get anyone to tow me home. I had to pay a stranger $100 to
help me. Today after visiting my Allstate provider Brian Van Eerden office at 8243 US 301 in Parrish, Fl I got an admission that this was not right. However they offered me nosolution. Would not fund my $100 and and just said we can't help.

Desired outcome: Payment of my $100 and reimbursement for towing service plan.

Allstate Insurance homeowners claim-[protected]

My name is Keith Brown and I have a homeowner's policy with Allstate Insurance. My home sustained significant hail damage due to a hail storm that occurred on 4/12/2021. My roof, metal fascia, AC unit, window screens, and other structure show evidence of hail damage. My current adjuster Christopher Fontes and his Manager Lilly Boyd are not handling the claim properly and are performing unfair claim practices.
The original Allstate estimate was quite short and a lot of items was let off the estimate. My contractor Deron Trotter with Linear Roofing and General Contractors submitted a supplement request; however, Mr. Fontes became combative, disrespectful, and rude when receiving the estimate. He told Myself and my contractor that he does not have time to look at the estimate and will not look at it. We then proceeded to speak to his manager Lilly Boyd, but she was combative as well and did not want to provide any assistance. We requested to have claim reassigned to another adjuster, but our request was denied.
The claim has not been worked by a professional and fair adjuster. The claim was closed without any work on the supplement. Even though Mr. Fontes did not revise his estimate, He still shorted the payout by $7, 995.99 based on Allstate's estimate. I am filing a complaint for unfair claim practices performed by Allstate representative Christopher Fontes and his Manager Lilly Boyd. WE would like to have the claim handled per my policy and worked to its fullest.

Allstate Insurance Allstate Insurance changes repair costs

Car accident June 28, 2020
For this example in July 2020,  the adjuster used pictures to determine the cost to repair our car was $1782 . In Jan 2021,   an adjuster,  D.A,  agreed that the repair cost was indeed $1782 .  In June 2021,  the  same adjuster as in Jan 2021,  D. A., he/Allstate  determined the repair cost was $3570.  The same adjuster determined two  different figures,  $1782 and $3570,   without any new information or  evidence;  there were no new pictures,  no inspections,  there was nothing  different in the information Allstate had for the first repair cost to the  second repair cost.  Nothing had changed. They refuse to answer any questions  about the  differences in cost.

Desired outcome: Explain the differences in repair cost and acknowledge that $1782 is the accurate one.

Allstate Insurance Allstate investigator & claims representative

I am submitting a complaint regarding the unprofessional manner I have been treated by the Allstate Insurance investigator and Claims Representative.
The Allstate Insurance Claims Representative, Pascal Leaman, indicated that Allstate was going to cover the damages that the storm except for the roof. He said he looked at the numerous photos I had sent him and he agreed with me that my home had serious water damage. I said that is great but I need to know where the water was coming from to prevent future leaks. He offered to send another investigator and I agreed for the purpose for the investigator to tell me where the leaks were coming from.

The second investigator came and changed the appointment several times.
First at 2:30 pm then changed it to 11:00 am then back to 2:30 pm. I accept the different time he made the changes because I want to get it done. He came and did not even introduce himself. He was rude cut me off several times and did not allow me or the roofer to explain what damages we saw. He said he was like an X-ray technician and did not want to hear anything we had to say. That he had to get to work and not interrupt him. He almost seemed racist toward us. The roofer did not speak English so I was going to translate but apparently, Mr. Veronie did not want to be bothered. He said he did not want to know anything and he was there to take pictures and not talk about it. I was going to show him the previous pictures I had taken but he refused to see them or hear what I had to say. I had never experienced such a hateful individual especially in his position that he needs to deal with people.
The roofer went up the roof with him and showed him the areas that were hit by hail as El Paso has had hail since 6/2018. Mr. Veronie told the roofer that someone had taken a hammer and had beaten the roof numerous times. He deliberately lied. I have never allowed anyone to go to my roof and do such a thing. Apparently, he was already planning not to demonstrate the facts and just show was he wanted to show. El Paso County has a report of the size and the time it has hit. My roof has received various hits of hail but I never reported it because I did not know that it had caused the damage until the roofer went up and told me about it. Actually, I had 3 different roofers that previously went up and check my roof and indicated that hail had hit. I had also sent many photos to Mr. Leadman.

When Mr. Veronie finishes, the roofer offered to help him with the ladder and he rudely said, "No," and held the ladder strongly with his hand. I can tell he just wanted to leave. He said that he was going to write whatever he wanted and the unknown person that reads the report would read it.
All this time I thought Mr. Veronie was there to investigate and tell me where the water was coming from and report it to Mr. Leadman.

I received a call from another Allstate Representative, Adrian Nevarez, to tell me that they were not going to pay for anything except for the Air Conditioner fin ($177). He did not view the numerous photos I had sent Mr. Leadman. He did not have all the facts and Mr. Veronie lied.

The Allstate Claims representative had already told me that he was going to pay for the water damages of my home and now Adrian Nevarez overrides what Mr. Leadman and I had agreed. I do not understand what they are doing. This is what is so disheartening of all state employees. They do not know what they are doing. As long as they can prevent from payout to the client that is all they are focus on. It does not matter the image they give to the company as long as they look good. It is very sad that there is not integrity in Allstate employees.

Apparently, Allstate is not on our side they are on their pocket's side and take the money from the clients and make up any story so they don't have to pay. I am very disappointed with Allstate Insurance they are not what they advertise they are. I have emailed Mr. Leadman and he does not respond to my emails. I have to call him or talk to another representative to tell him to contact me. I am very disappointed and my home is getting water between my walls in my master bedroom wall and living room wall.

I would not recommend Allstate Insurance to anyone after this terrible experience.

Allstate Insurance Roof replacement

I am writing to complain about having insurance with Allstate for my homeowners and autos for 13 years! Have never filed a claim on my homeowners in 13 years and now that I need a roof replaced I am being told that my roof is too old to be covered! Why the heck have we been paying on this insurance for 13 years only to be told that they will not cover a cent because roof is 26 years old. Thought that's why we had insurance so that in time of need they help! Regardless of age of roof. The older it is the more it needs replaced.
My Allstate agents name is David Casey in Greenville, SC. the date of incident started on July 2, of this year and I have not been sent or seen any photos that the insurance adjuster they sent out here to do the inspection of the roof took. Who by the way, literally told us that roof inspection was NOT his job, that he had never done it and this was his first time. But I did see pictures from the roofing company that came out to do inspection before adjuster was here. And there is way more damage than what the insurance adjuster obviously sent to my agent.
The only estimate I received from Allstate is for 4 shingles to be replaced and even that you will not pay for. Nor is Allstate covering the interior water damage on our enclosed porch from roof leaking.
UNBELIEVABLE!
I would appreciate a reply from someone as so on as possible.
If we could afford an attorney I would hire one to look into this matter.

Desired outcome: want Allstate to help pay for this roof replacement and the interior damage on porch

I have been with Allstate since I was 19, I just turned 60 yesterday. I have never filed a claimed for a new roof, I have only had maybe 2 claims the whole time I have been with them because, of Hurricanes.

We had a hail storm, in April of 2022 the house 3 houses down from me got approved for a new roof and my brother lives 6 miles from me and he got approved for a new roof. They also, did not have Allstate insurance. So, I filed a claim in January of 2023 for the same hail storm and Allstate denied me because they said my 2 metal buildings did not have damage, I am sorry in Southeast Texas it can be hailing in the front of your house and not in the back of your house. Also, why are they comparing a metal roof to an asphalt roof it is much thicker. I thought I was in GOOD HANDS with Allstate like the commercial states but, apparently I am not. I guess I have to wait until more damage is done or the roof caves in before they cover anything and it will cost them more.

Allstate Insurance Jeff and Theresa Adkins, home owner

8/4/21. My Mother in Law has been with Allstate for many years without filling a claim (Alzheimer). Upon her passing policy changed to our name. Inspection stated problems and could not be covered, claim was filled (as would have been if not for medical impairment), second inspection stated property was fine and claim was declined. After our complaints we were told repairs were made which negated policy. these repair were made by unauthorized person without owners knowledge. We are in process of changing 3 home/car policies due to this. If any desire to act on this call: [protected].

Allstate Insurance Auto insurance

Allstate is the worst insurance company in the United States, maybe the world. You should never try and negotiate with them without an attorney. I made that mistake. I was stopped at a red light when their client/insured ran the light and collided with a van and they both collided into me. Their client admitted guilt. The pictures and police report confirmed her guilt. So I foolishly decided not to get an attorney, after all I was not injured. But my 2003 Chevy cargo van with 219, 000 miles was not so lucky. You are not going to believe what happened next...I will get back with you tomorrow about claim number [protected]

Allstate Insurance Delay in taking off totaled car, on policy

We called Allstate on December 10, to remove our car from our policy, which was totaled in October 2020, and to add the replacement car. They added the replacement car, but did not take off the totaled car. When we discussed this with Tim Green, in July, he said he might be able to reimburse us for 2 months. By the time we noticed this, it was over 7 months of paying for a totaled car. We do not get paper copies in the mail, and had not looked at our policy.

On July 8th, we sent Tim Green an email, asking him to give us a refund. He said he would research it, and that is all we have heard from him, as of today, 8/2/2021, almost a month later.

This does not seem to be good workmanship, and his lack of communication is not what a good company would do.

What can we do to have this resolved? Do you need anything else from us?

Allstate Insurance The insurance did not meet its obligation

The Allstate insurance co. treated us very unfairly and did not meet its obligation. Please see the following:
1. We had a Landlord Home Insurance for many years from AllState (Self-called "good hands" Co.). We always pay the premium bills on time and before the due date.
2. On June 30, 2021, the rental lease would expire and we decided to move in from July 1st, 2021. So we wanted to change the house insurance policy from Landlord Home to home owner insurance.
3. On June 12th, Yuenlin Li called agent office to switch insurance and paid for the premium for the new policy starting on July 1, 2021. Because the rental lease should end on June 30, 2021, so he told the agent to change the policy starting from 1st of July because the tenants still in the house until 06/30/2021. However the agent changed it on June 12th by mistake without Yuelin Li's knowledge.
4. Jing Tang found the mistake during the claim procedure and asked the agent Sarah to make the correction, at the beginning Sarah agreed to make changes and did not think it is a problem. However Sarah did not make the change to correct the mistake (Possibly she found out that we made some claims).
5. On July 23, 2021 Jing Tang and Yuelin Li called our agent office for correction. The agent Roni agreed to correctly change the effective date to switch from our landlord home insurance to homeowner insurance on July 1, 2021 (the phone call was recorded. We had to do this because the promises were broken by Sarah before). However, this change was later denied by Sarah again despite the legal facts.
