APG3001 generator gas leak, reference order # 5407
I have been having a constant leak of gas coming from the depurator, located on top of the APG3001 fuel tank. I have tried to call several times, but get a leave a message and they will call back! After doing this approximately 30 times with no callback, I sent a work order # 5407.
Monica sent me back a completed non-reply email service request that implied that the gas tank was overfull! Monica also advised that the gas was coming from the air filter housing then going into the depurator. The gas has to run thru the depurator on top of the tank before it runs thru a hose into the bottom of the air filter housing. I believe her reply was a blowoff!
I have sent several return emails regarding my displeasure, due to not filling the 4-gallon tank with no more than 1 gallon of fuel, due to occasional usage.
It is my understanding that there are several generators made by all power America that have a similar issue that has been recalled to replace the tank and install.
Please respond with an answer to my issue with either the depurator or gas tank being bad.
Thank you in advance.
I will need the tank also. Thanks
Will you please send me a replacement fuel tank without a depurator on top of the tank? Just a gas cap and fuel gauge will do. Thanks
When will I be receiving your call. Been several days, 5 to be exact! Still having leak issues!
Junk generator
Worst company I have ever had the displeasure to deal with! See complete details at http://www.gabbyjim.com/ReportOnAllPowerAmerica.html
Looks like a scam importer of Chinese junk (trash, not the sailing vessell)
I bought a 1000 watt generator from O'Reily Auto Parts and the machine self-destructed. When I tried to get help I got a runaround. - looks like a total scam. Am now accumulating data to file a complaint with the California Attorney General, Division of Consumer Protection, the BBB and everybody else I can find
Followup to the above:
Tuesday, February 28, at 3:42 PM, a refund was finally issued, 53 days, numerous phone calls, threats of legal action, several email messages, nearly a hundred miles of driving, and considerable frustration and rancor after the problem was first reported. Clearly, this is one company to avoid, along with any company using AC Warranty service.

I worked there for 3 months this year and I learned a lot of things about this company.. This company is nothing but a scam! they lie to customers, they send used parts, they sell generators that are missing parts when you open the box hoping the customer wouldn notice, they ask you to destroy your unit and send them pics of the destruction in order for you to get your money back?(elderly not excempted)? and you lucky if you get your check within a month. Its a company run by bunch of chinese and the call center are bunch of high school drop outs with no formal training about their machines whatsoever. You just learn as you go and they donT care if their customers are on hold for 30 minutes or more just for some basic questions. I used to work for one of the biggest insurance company in America as a claims adjuster for 7 years so I know what customer service is all about and its very important to me. I left this company because I couldn there I didnt even get my own stapler and stapler remover! talking about working in the office right? all their call center agents has not physically seen 90% of their products and when they put you on hold or tell you that they will call you back which they never do, its because they dont know anything and they just wanna get you off the phone as much as possible. Writing this doesnt benefit me at all but it will make me feel better knowing that somewhere out there someone needs help or advice in regards to this company and their products.
If you own an ALL POWER, KINGCRAFT, STEELE, EAGLE RIVER, JOBSMART, GENTRON, RHINO SCOOTER, BADGER MINI BIKE AND SOME OF THEIR TOOL PRODUCTS. i'll BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU WITH ANY OF YOUR CONCERN regarding THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCTS..
My email is bomazzkid@yahoo.com, id give you my phone# but i dont wanna get swamp with phone calls...
God Bless!
The pictures will show on burned generator the fuel the way it ran down to bottom of tank not burning the bottom of it. I also took fuel gauge and fuel cap off. You can see I raped cap up with electrical tap to seal the sides of it for test to blow on hole in cap for 2 way air flow test cap on new generator and burned one both failed test. You can also tell where the fuel gauge was not sealed to tank and residues on top and bottom of tank both generators show where fuel has leaked. New one around fuel gauge and cap running over sides of tank winding up on petcock and carburetor side of them. I can explain all to U on phone or in person. With parts defective in hand, from both units. Also when U look at burned gen u will notice it was burning from the top of the unit down. like tires burned on top not on bottom, including bottom underside not being burned.
Here is the pictures. They have still failed to modify the defective parts. they still have not compensated me for my lose 2009 to 2011. When buying a generator first remove cap and blow on vent hole from inside the cap if U can blow on it do not use it. if U see a fuel gauge like the one in the picture I would not use it either its metal is to thin and does not seal properly from factory. I have one of there bigger generators and have not used it since fire it is bran new. It also leaks fuel when running all over the top of the tank, it has been sitting with full tank and has sept down to a half tank and is wet with fuel residue on top around fuel gauge and fuel cap.
They also cause fires due to defective fuel gauge, and also fuel cap that vents in and out, fuel cap should never vent out, when running fuel escapes from cap. Fuel gauge does not seal to tank properly, which allows fuel to leak out and starts fires. in my case 75, 000.00 in damages not including the lose of business, or the building. Could not attach pictures here, this wont let me.
