Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Albertsons handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Albertsons and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Albertsons service

Don't stop in at the Vista and Overland market and hope to get something for lunch from the deli!
They OBVIOUSLY have too many opening chores - as they will wait to even acknowledge you - then when they ask you what you want, you have to repeat it, as they are STILL getting their morning chores done.
Then they will blindly slice meat, often the wrong amount or cut and then roll their eyes when you tell them it's not right.
Go somewhere else, anywhere else, if you have to be to work on time.

Albertsons customer service

Checker Crystal was not able to explain why the coupon i presented was not valid for item purchased with it, did not offer to remove item. Was in a rush to complete transaction. No one offerred to put bags in cart, so while i was trying to pay and put bags in cart my receipt was shoved at me and next customer items were being bagged w my bags still on counter. It was a poor experience all around. I will not return to mountain home Albertsons. I shopped at albertsons weekly for several years. I will never return to the mountain home store again.

Albertsons cleanliness

The floors in Albertsons produce today were filthy at the Boulder City Location. JEEZ! Really? This location is a BIG profit location and has a monopoly in this tourist location near Lake Mead Hoover Dam ! Albertsons needs to spend some of the profits and remodel this old store or at LEAST spend some of the huge profits on janitorial staff! Clean it up!

Albertsons unaccommodating cashiers

I am a mother with two small children on WIC checks and I am lucky if I can make it to the store once per month to use them. It already takes forever and my children are tired and crying by the time we get in line to leave the store. I work hard to make sure I have the correct items and they are all sorted by check to make things less difficult for the cashiers and less time consuming for other customers. I was approached by the day manager today and was told that they can only process three checks at a time. If I want to use more, I have to come back another day or leave and get back in line at a later time. First off, there was no one else in line at the time. But also, it was the only register with a cashier at the time. It was totally possible to open 5 other lanes to deal with other customers. Who is going to watch my crying children while I spend hours upon hours following that protocol? That's ridiculous! Just because I am below the poverty line and have small children does not mean that I need food less than others. I am still a customer. I deserve to be treated like it.

Albertsons customer service/food complaint

5/15/2018 16:39
Ref #:01001001872 Auth:H77805

My husband went to store 165 in Mountain Home, Idaho and bought a pound of cluster snow crab from your "fresh" selection for our anniversary. He brought it home and I noticed it had slime on it so I assumed it was a fresh water issue. I cleaned off the slime and it still had a lackluster appearance. It didn't smell bad so I still cooked it. When my husband cracked into it, there was black inside where the meat was. It was in a few others as well. This is a HUGE sanitary issue and with recalls all over the country for unsanitary practices, it is important this issue is looked into.

Second issue was when I went back to get a refund for the disgusting product. Brittnay, a customer service manager helped me. 5/15/2018 19:58
My husband paid with a debit card and she said I had to travel back to my house to get my husband's card to get the refund. I live a decent distance away from the Albertson's. I get back to the Albertsons and I put his card in the chip reader to get the money placed back on the card. However, the money was not able to be returned and Brittnay had to call over a higher up manager. She ended up giving me cash... I went all the way to my house and cash was an option. She has wasted my time and my husband made my 3 year old daughter food. He chose the messiest thing. I wasn't going to write this complaint, but she brushed it off as if my wasted time was not her fault. She laughed it off. Still got the cash, but I am very frustrated.

I was so frustrated that I took my anger out on my three year old. A neighbor witnessed this and called CPS, and now I may have my three year old placed in foster care. Bet she does not blame herself for that as well.

Albertsons overcharge

Albertson's Store # 3713
15232 George Oneal Rd.
Baton Rouge, LA 70817

* receipt information: 05/14/18 20:30 3713 6 227 8133

This happens repeatedly and is the reason I stopped going to one of your other stores. I thought this location was better... But I guess not.
I had a total of 16 items rang up... There were only 8 different items with multiples of a couple of them. I was overcharged for 3 of the items!
Because the items ring up at the regular price and the supposed sale price is all calculated at the end of the transaction... You can't tell ahead of time if it was correct and only if you check your receipt very closely. Why offer a sale price on items to entice the buyers to come to your establishment... If you still do not give the advertised price? It's just very disappointing and makes for an extra trip to get a refund. I know that in most cases this is to your benefit... Because people don't check their receipt closely or they don't have the time to come back again for a few dollars. It definitely works in your favor! Very sad and I will do my part in spreading the word about needing to be very wary of your so called sales.

Unhappy!

Albertsons store

Albertson's on Guadalupe and Rural is a disgusting, old, unmaintained filthy store with poor quality produce and bare shelves. Even the parking lot is disgusting. This store reminds me of a 3rd world Island grocery store. The individuals who work here are generally kind. I am so glad Sprouts have opened in the neighborhood. I plan on taking money to Sprouts, WholeFoods and Fry's.

Albertsons basically everything in this store.

I use to be a regular customer at the Albertsons store located on Eldorado, I went to this store daily until the new manager took over. I occasional went to this store but will not any more. Basically this store has gone down hill every since the new manger tock over.

The help is grumbly and not happy and items in the sore that where very standard are seldom in stock. I only go in the store on a weekly basis now when I use to go every single day.

I went 4 weeks in a row to the deli and tried to order spicy chicken wings for lunch and again today with the same result no wings. You have them on the menu but you never have any more.

On Mothers day this store use to rock with dipped strawberries and very nice flowers. I would spend 50 or more dollars just on these but today it was like" Blech". Nothing I would want to buy.

So I figure if you don't even carry things like that then your store is pretty wordless to me and I will not be back. In fact I blogged about this today on Facebook and am boycotting any of your stores from now on including Tom Thumb, Randall's and Safeway. If I do visit areas with other Albertsons stores I will not enter them either.

When you have management like this in your store it is not worth my time to shop there. You folks have lost me as a life time shopper. You have some very good people working here as employees but your management sucks. He has single handily driven this store into the ground.

I do not need or want a reply fro m you folks in fact I do not even want to hear the name Allerton's again. You will never see an other friend or family member of mine inside of one as long as this manager is in one.

Albertsons tenaya store in las vegas

I have been shopping at this store since the opening. The deli with 3 people working are never helping the customers and always talking. Usually one of them decides to help someone while the other 2 do there own thing. Got sick of waiting while only one other person was at the counter and decided to leave that department to go to produce where the chopped onion is never on the shelf and the watermelon that they cut is more white than red because they cut it too close to the rind. Hey its more expensive than doing it myself so maybe they are doing me a favor. Go to buy 6 bottles of wine because it is cheaper and when I get to checkout the new checker tells me that I put the wine wrong on the belt? Seriously I buy wine every week. I just had a hard day at work and it was important for her to tell me how to put my wine on the belt? Just do your job and be quiet. There are very few people I know there now because literally everyone is new and they don't seem to care like before. By the way I spent $300.00 yesterday and I go in there everyday for something on my way home from work. Just thought you should know so maybe you can make things better again.

Albertsons western union transaction

Hello this is Megan Steinberg and i am contacting you in regards to a western union transaction i attempted to make on 3/30/18. I went in to the Albertsons store in Williston North Dakota on 3/30/18 and tried to make a money transfer for $650($664) with fees. The clerk took all my information and i went to pay with my Wells Fargo debit card so i ran my card and the clerk come back and said that the card had declined. So i thought whatever i will go and try to figure out why it was declined. So the next day im going through my bank account and notice that the amount of transaction($664) was deducted from my account not once but twice. Now tell me this if my card was declined why was the money taken from my account. I have contacted my bank and western union and they all tell me i have to contact Albertsons so i am. I don't have any receipts because the transaction was declined so she didn't give me any. I really need that money back as it never should have been taken in the first place. Thank you Megan Steinberg

Albertsons employees working/slander

Hello, I was just inside your Simi Valley, California location trying to buy products from the store and my sister and I were accused of stealing. They employee stated that we came into the store with two girls who stole beer earlier. When we were alone and no one entered store at the same time we did. When we asked to see the footage and where the girls were I was informed I could not see the footage. So the employees made up this lie against us and then publiclly harassed, slandered, and embarrassed my sister and I in front of many customers. They then refused service and would only apologize "if that would make us feel better." Finally the manager said she would sell it to me and said to the other employee she did not see any one come in with us.

Albertsons try tip roast and libby’s corn

I bought a Tri Tip from Smiths and one from Albertson's. I bought them on the same day. I had bought the first one at Smith's and realized I needed two. I scanned the Albertson's flyer and read that Tri Tips were on sale for $4.99 a pound. I had paid 6:99 at Smith's. So I drove specially to Albertson's to get one because they wer on sale. Both of my Tri Tips were packaged and expired on the same date. When I went to wash them, the Albertson's Tri Tip had a thick layer of fat the entire length of the piece of meat and was a third of the thickness of it. The other piece from Smith's only had the typical marbling that this cut of meat has. This is not a sale. So many times I go to Albertson's to get something on sale and the quality isn't what it normally is there. This happens with raspberries frequently.
I also picked up their coupon book and noticed Libby's canned corn 10 for $10.00. I can get the same brand and the same store at the .99 cent store for two for 99 cents with an expiration date 15 months from now. The only thing I can count on is milk and sometimes eggs to be a competitive price. Almost every item is a dollar more than Smith's. This is not a high end neighborhood.

Albertsons dress code

I go in to Albertsons on north main as a main store to shop with and I notice the produce department doesn't follow standard dress codes, bit wears leggings. Sometimes I go in and the legging worn are at times see through. I do not believe this is work appropriate and that all workers should follow the dress code appropriately. I would very much like this issue to be dealt with.

Albertsons employees

I am a local I go to this store almost on a daily basis. I am completely disturbed that this company would allow people especially managers to treat their employees so badly. I watch every time I go in the deli manager always being rude and degrading to her employees as well as her and another girl always at the front door downgrading people as well. The other girl is always is wearing a sweatshirt and no hat. It sickens me that the store manager would allow that as well this company. I am truly saddened and disturbed of these two employees doing so. I will not continue to shop in the ludlow store with these two employees working in this store. I will continue to complain until the right actions are taken which would be to fire the two employees you have working for you. This company is allowing their employees to be slandered and harassed. FIX THE PROBLEM FIRE THEM! I would be the best for the company and you're employees.

Albertsons potato salad with all

I am a long standing customer of Albertsons have had no complaints with anything in past 20 years plus, but I recently purchased the potato salad with all and when I took first and only bite I bit down on bacon that was so hard it cracked my front tooth veneer and half came away. It will cost me $700 to replace and I am living on SS I can't afford to do it. Not happy

Albertsons cashier/no cash back

I went to East Gate Albertsons in Missoula last evening. I made a purchase and requested $10 cash back. The cashier typically puts the money with the receipt. I took the receipt and put it in my pocket. When I looked when I got home, I realized that I didn't receive my money. I threw my receipt away but stewed about it all night. In the morning, I contacted the manager at the store. He said he would "run the tapes" and get back to me. I didn't hear from him, so I went to the store this evening to speak to someone in person and was treated poorly with no resolution.

I have been shopping at this store since before it was Albertsons. We live close by now so it continues to be our go-to grocery store out of convenience.

On a completely different note, I want to add that this store if very unsafe. The rif raff that goes in and out of there is alarming. My wife has been approached by seemingly mentally ill or intoxicated men on more than one occasion in the parking lot (pretty much every time she is there). They are begging, being inappropriate, etc. For this reason she has chosen to not return to your store for her and our children's safety. She refrained from calling the cops this past weekend, but honestly she should have. What is the management doing to assure their customers remain safe? It's a shame that someone can't go get a loaf of bread without feeling scared. It's a real issue that needs to be addressed.

Back to the money issue- one might think- hey, it's $10...but that isn't the point. Your cashier made an error, I am the customer and your HUGE corporation can stand to give the money back because "the customer is always right". I'm not a drunk homeless person in there looking to scam the store. I am a respectable person who was wronged and your company is too greedy to make a situation right.

Tonight, we decided to not go back to your store or any other Albertsons in Missoula (or anywhere else for that matter). It is worth a longer drive to feel that I am a valued customer and that we won't be threatened and harrassed on our way in and out of the store.

You fool no one works for Albertsons. Also what happened to that post where you admitted to molesting your daughter? Don't go around denying it. If you are lying about someone working for Albertsons you are lying about your daughter as well. So why would you molest your own daughter sicko.

I don't know what happened to reply that the OP made, but he admitted to molesting his own daughter who was taken from him.Blamed his wife for not pleasing him. What a sick man. He claimed that I work for Albertson's. This is not true. He lied about his and molests his own daughter.

Albertsons management

My son is employed at the above stated location. Almost since day 1 he has come home telling me that a couple of the supervisors seem to stay on his case and harass him. This is my sons first job and he's struggled with fitting in so I told him that adulting was hard and not everyone was going to like him because he's different. I told him to respect them as supervisors and to do what he's told and he will learn the ropes. Every night that this one particular one was there though, he would tell me how they constantly are telling him to do stuff while not telling the other clerks to do anything. Last week, he called me telling me he felt really bad and very dizzy. I come to the store to give him some water and to check on him and he walked outside and was resting his head on my window sill. This particular manager was standing outside smoking a cigarette with his parents and another employee (in front of the store door). He texted the front end manager and told her to come get her employee because he was on the clock, so she walked outside and complied. My son went inside and I followed. My purpose was twofold. One, to see how they treated him and two, to find the phone number to someone at corporate to see how to get my sons backpay hes owed. He has tried for 6 months to get money owed to him but keeps getting the runaround. They have been paying him 50 cents less than minimum wage since the day he started. They FINALLY fixed it but refuse to give him the money owed. I was told to speak to the manager (the one that was outside with his parents). He told me his mom had to do the same thing when he started so dont feel bad having to help my son out. He then told me to come super early in the morning. I told him I've already had him up to the store at 545am (and totally feel it should not be us jumping through hoops to fix their wrongs), but we did and were told she couldn't help that day so I am not going to do that again. I told that manager I was going against my sons wishes to get this done because some manager is giving him a hard time and dawson doesn't want this to cause the guy to come down harder on him. At the time I didn't know the manager I was talking to was the guy bullying my son. As soon as I left, he approached my son saying he met me and that my son better step his game up then went back outside to smoke again. That's his 2nd smoke break in less than 30 minutes. My son then asked if he could take a break but his immediate supervisor told him he had to go get buggies (after he just made a sweep). He went to do buggies and there was a total of 4 outside. Really? He come inside to ask her again but was approached and accused by the other manager of pushing a buggy of returns out of site. Dawson stated he didn't do that but would take care of them and he did. (A coworker talked to me that night saying a customer left the buggy there but the manager didn't care about the truth. He also stated they constantly harass my son and treat him very different. I asked him how and he said they are always telling dawson to do stuff that they dont tell the others. Like, clean the bathrooms, do all returns, do the coolers, make the buggy sweeps, etc. And the other clerks can hang around just talking to the cashiers. My son is superb at customer service but is being treated as the managers little slave.)

But, he put the cart of returns up and asked his immediate supervisor once again if he could take a break and she just ignored him. His coworker told him to take it so he did. He went outside and sat in his coworkers car and low and behold the manager comes back outside to smoke, again, in front of the doors, and looked at dawson and started shaking his head and texted the other manager saying that dawson was in the car. She said she didn't give him permission to take a break. They let him stay outside though and when he come back in, the immediate supervisor told him to go home. I come and picked him up and he receives a text from a different coworker saying they were wrong for doing what they did to him. He then said "dont worry about them man. As long as you are doing your job, they are nothing". The first coworker says he witnesses the treatment daily and although they dont treat him that way, he was ready to quit and would vouch for the mistreatment. He actually turned in his notice last night.

I have lost faith in our local stores management team and have no desire for myself or family to continue to shop there if this type of treatment is allowed. My son is leaving for Marine bootcamp in August. We've told him to stick it out but after hearing from two coworkers that have vouched for his mistreatment, it wouldn't hurt my feelings to call the labor board to see how he can get the money owed to him and to sever his ties with your store.

Albertsons service from store manager ron spurlock

My family and I, as well as my employees shop at this store frequently. I go there on a certain day to go shopping for my disabled grandma. She ordered the wrong thing which was a ensure high protein shake pack. I am a regular there so I walked in to exchange it with no receipt with an explanation about my grandmother and lost receipt. On the store policy window it says "May" need a receipt. In law terms that does not mean a definite. So the product I was returning was more then the product I wanted to exchange. Why is it nowadays there is no compassion or customer service that takes care of honest, repeat customers? The store manager was very rude and short with me, mabey he was having a bad day. But at the same time why would a company want to lose a network of loyal customers over something so small and easy to handle? I give everyone a chance and benefit of the doubt so I'm hoping your reply will keep me from using my $ elsewhere. Thank you. Drew Marsaw

Albertsons promposal balloon

I shopped at the Albertsons in Tujunga California and saw promposal balloons showing a dead body outline and police do not cross tape that said "I'm dying to go to prom with you". It's so distasteful and inappropriate. I can't believe these are being sold. Even my 13 year old thought they were awful. Our kids experience enough violence these days. Why would any adult or Company want to push such irresponsible and negative behavior? Prom is supposed to be happy. A look to the future. A little forethought and common sense would be refreshing from Companies. My kid didn't need to see such stupidity.
