Alabama Department Of Human Resources / Dhr.Alabama.gov - Ashley Carol

On September the 4th, I had to pick up my children from school early in order to go to a doctors appointment. Upon my arrival at home, I listened to my voicemail. Richard Penn (my ex father-in-law), had left a message that Holly Davis and or DHR had contacted him to question him about myself, my mother and my children. She asked him if me and my mother were drug addicts and if my children are in danger. How did he get this information? Him nor his wife Debbie Penn are listed at the school as contacts. They were removed as contacts due to an earlier incident with DHR. I was later admitted to Baptist South on Sunday the 6th of September. Mrs. Ashley Carol called my house and my mother told her I was hospitalized and told her not to call me as I was extremely ill. Mrs. Carol called anyway but my room information was not given out to her. Mrs. Ashley then contacted Laura Allen (social worker) at Baptist South. Mrs. Allen came to my room and told me that I had a phone call. I told her that I was too ill to take any calls. She then informed me that I HAD to take this call, took out her personal phone and transferred the call to my hospital room phone. This was Mrs. Ashley Carol on the phone who then proceeded to call me a meth addict and a drug abuser. I had yet to take a urinalysis for DHR. My drug test for Baptist Hospital which was administered upon admission (without my consent) was not yet put on my chart. How did Mrs. Carol get this information? Hospitals are not allowed to give patient information out by phone or in person to anyone unless consent forms are signed by the patient.
When my mother (Patricia Case) picked me up from the hospital, she then informed me that DHR told her that I was a drug addict and that my children were in danger. Mrs. Ashley Carol told my mother that she and my step-father had to take drug tests. They complied. The day after I was released from the hospital, Mrs. Ashley Carol came to my house, told me that I am a drug addict and a danger to my children. She said I had to vacate the premises and I also had to sign a safety plan in order to have supervised visits with my children. I offered to take a urine drug test but she refused stating that she needed a hair follicle test in order to show my extensive drug abuse. Is this DHR's standard procedure to remove somebody from their home without a court order, with no proof or a urinalysis to back them up? Finally on Monday September 13th, Mrs. Carol called me and asked me if I was ready to take a hair follicle test, I told her no, I was not. Again, is this standard procedure, a hair follicle test? She then told me I was scheduled to take a urine drug test at the Drug Court in Pike County. I complied. To date, I have not heard the results of my drug test, or anything pertaining to my case. My mother still has guardianship of my children. I want my children back. This woman has slandered me and disrupted my family's lives with no proof. This harassment has got to stop. Why does this one woman have so much power, judge, jury and prosecutor? She has the power to destroy lives and should not hold this position. The resolution that I would like to see is that I want my case closed and want my children back. I would also like to see her lose her position as she does not follow standard operating procedures, she destroys peoples lives without proof, including mine and my children's.
