The company provided me invoice for 1300. After the work has been done they asked 3175.
1) they increase working hours from 4 to 6 (- 370)
2) increase transportation time for 2 hours (-185 usd)
3) added track (-650usd)
4) added reloading charges (-650)

Overall they made the final price almost three times more.

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics International shipment

Hope that this is read and actioned. Wish i had read these complaints before proceeding with this company for moving my stuff from LA to India. They picked my stuff on 1st Aug and I was told that the shipment (Door to Door) will reach me in India in 12-14 weeks. I made my travel on 5th Aug and after few weeks I followed up with them about any update. I got an invoice for the shipping and was told that if i don;t pay the fee in 48 hours, there will be an additional charge.

I made the payment immediately. The trauma begins afterwards.

In Sep when i contacted them about the shipment, I was told that the ETA is around mid-Oct. When i asked them the details of the tracking number, i was told that it'll be given once the ship is sailed.
When i contacted them in Oct they said the shipment is delayed because of flood(god knows when LA was flooded). Anyway...i had no option but to wait. On 27 Oct i was told that customs clearance is done and the shipment is ready to sail on 6th Nov and will reach destination on 12 Dec.

Today when i contacted them to get an update on the tracking number, i get a message that there is a customs delay and it'l sail in another 10-12 days.

Seriously...do they even plan to ship my stuff? While collecting the invoice amount there is a penalty if i don't pay within 48 hours but when it comes to the real shipment ...it's been delayed to the extent possible and they further delay by months as if it has no impact to the consumer.

I'm exploring legal options as well.

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics Extreme delays & mismanagement

Pick up from Berkeley, CA, USA on 23rd Dec 2013
Shipment received in Ahmedabad, India on 2nd June 2014

We strongly discourage everyone from using the services of AIR 7 SEAS Transport Logistics Inc USA. We have spent 5.5 months dealing with them and have had an extremely unpleasant experience. All their employees both in the USA and in India, have constantly given us wrong and misleading information about delivery dates and ludicrous excuses every time they have not kept their word.

Our shipment was picked up from Berkeley, CA, USA on 23rd Dec 2013. A7S was not able to explain what happened to our shipment between Dec 23 and Feb 18 (~ 8 weeks) since pick-up. On Mar 12, A7S informed us that our shipment had been stuck at US customs for 22 days i.e. from Feb 19 but has now been released and will leave port in 2 days (i.e. Mar 14). After an unexplained delay of another 15 days, the shipment was loaded on Mar 27. The ship reached Nhava Sheva, India as promised on May 2; total sailing time was 5 weeks. Now End2End took over. Apparently we were unlucky yet again and there was “port congestion”. Our assessment was finally done on May 22nd, 20 days after the shipment arrived. Ahmedabad is ~ 8 hrs from Mumbai; however, although many of the reviews claim to have obtained their shipment within a day of customs clearance, we did not receive our stuff till June, after another 10 day delay. I attach a detailed timeline below.

When we made our initial contact, A7S sent us a 77-page compilation of customer reviews they have received in their 28+ years of service. Surprisingly *all* the reviews are very positive! Everyone seems to receive their shipment in the claimed 10-12 weeks. We understand that the 22-day delay by US customs and the 20-day delay by Indian customs is not in anyone’s hands. However, inspite of multiple emails and phone calls we are unable to fully understand any of the other delays, which totals about 80 days or almost 12 weeks.

This entire experience has been an ordeal. We were not prepared to live without our essential stuff for almost half a year; moreover we have had to constantly worry about our shipment, while settling in new jobs in a new place. All this stress is totally uncalled for as we have paid A7S a lot of money (~ 1700$) to ship used household goods like books, clothes and utensils.

We would like to point though, the few things that were smooth: We were able to efficiently track the ship once it left the US and till it reached India. They kept their word and reached on 2nd May as they predicted. Also, A7S has not charged us anything beyond what they claimed and we were extremely glad to know that no “bribes” had to be paid at customs. This is heartening, especially since we were not physically present in Mumbai and the A7S agent took care of everything. And except 1 missing box, all other boxes were received in good shape.

Container under customer hold for past 22 days and we got news today it has been release from inspection from customs. Reason for hold (Due to terrorism & border protection issue Customs need to check full cargo whether any unwanted items lying into the Container). Container not yet sail today only USA customs inspection in completed so it may sail in next couple of days
Mar 17, 2014: 2nd invoice from A7S for customs inspection charges and customs hold
Mar 27, 2014: After delay of another 15 days (not 2 days as Babu claimed on Mar 12), email from A7S-Babu “We are pleased to announce that your shipment got loaded in our Consol# IC- 58653, ETA :Nhava Sheva - 5/2/2014”
April 6, 2014: A7S sends method of payment for 2nd invoice

April 22, 2014: Yatin Ganatra and Mohan Dhuri (End2End, India) makes 1st contact and gives us details about customs clearance in India
May 2 2014: Ship reaches Nhava Sheva as promised. Passport+ documents sent to Yatin
May 10 2014: 1st enquiry to End2End about customs. Yatin responds “due to congestion the shipping line has not yet moved the container to the customs warehouse. We expect it should reach the customs over the weekend and hopefully the warehouse should open the container and deposit the goods inside the customs warehouse by mid next week.”
May 22 2014: Email from Yatin “Assessment complete. 3rd invoice from A7S for Rs. 4999 (Bank Charges, Stamp Duty, Port Congestion Surcharge, Courier Charges, Notary Charges). Also I wish to inform you that we have completed the customs formalities and the shipment will be dispatched immediately upon receipt of the payment.”
May 26 2014: We deposit Rs. 4999 to End2End account. Yatin says shipment will leave Mumbai today.
May 27 2014: After calling Yatin, we find out that shipment did not leave on May 26. He later emails us “This is to confirm that your shipment has been dispatched from Nhava Sheva and has been handed over to our transporter. You can expect the shipment to be delivered at your residence in the next 2-3 days. We have instructed the trucker to call you and advise the time he will be reaching your residence.”
May 28 2014: No sign of passport although it was apparently couriered on May 26. We send email to Yatin. Yatin says passport had not been shipped but will be shipped May 28.
May 29 2014: Passport finally reaches.
May 30, 2014: Shipment does not reach Ahmedabad as promised by Yatin. We email and call Yatin. We get phone no. of truck driver, Surjit who informs us that the truck is in Vapi, just 2.5 hrs from Mumbai although truck apparently left Mumbai 3 days ago.
May 31st 2014: Multiple phone calls are made to Surjit and Yatin. Surjit says truck has now reached Ahmedabad but has broken down. Will fix truck and deliver by 8AM tomorrow.

June 1st 2014: No sign of truck. We call Surjit, who now claims that he is not the truck driver but in fact, the truck driver’s boss. He tells us we are being unreasonable, that the truck is still in Mumbai and hangs up. We call Yatin, who tells us Surjit does not know what is going on. Apparently the driver (who has a different name) is in fact in Ahmedabad and will deliver sometime today. Driver is not picking up phone all day and shipment is not delivered. Yatin texts us that he too has been unable to reach driver, which implies complete lack of coordination & communication amongst the various agents of A7S &
End2End.

June 2nd 2014: Shipment received. One of our items (#26) did not reach us: so of the 49 items in our shipment, one was missing. Mr. Yatin asked us to directly contact the truck company (Vikas-Freight-Movers, Navi-Mumbai, [protected]) which brought the stuff from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

To locate said box, I made multiple calls for over 2 weeks but did not receive a delivery note. I called the Ahmedabad contact of Vikas-Freight-Movers (Sirjit Singh Choudhury, [protected]) every day. However, he stopped picking up the phone or hanging up the minute he heard my voice and sending me text messages saying he will get back to me. The Vikas-Freight-Movers head office in Navi-Mumbai told me that Sirjit now recognised my number and was avoiding me because he has not done the needful. Finally I gave up. I could not file an insurance claim because there was a $250 deductible for any claim.

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics Shipment to india

I shipped my household items through Air7Seas SCAM company 5 months ago from USA to India and I HAVE NOT received my goods until today. They never respond to any of my emails, they don't pick up any of my phone calls. They never respond back to voicemails. There are 2 Fraud people who are the point of contact - Babu and Aarthy. aarthy is the salesgirl who talks nicely and sells the shipping service, babu picks it up. They inflated my charges by 100% even before the shipment left the US. I didn't bother to argue as I was busy doing a cross country moving and desperate to ship my items. I am filing a complaint with BBB as well as suing them in small claims court in CA - I am talking to my lawyers right now

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics Riped off by air7seas

Dear Madam or Sir,

Re: Air 7 Seas Transport Logistic
Inc.

I am writing you in the hopes that your intervention will enable my client to recover his losses from Air 7
Seas, who have to date ignored his attempts to work out the issues with them. In browsing some of the mover reviews, I find that their behavior is apparently not unique to my client’s case.

My client, Judah Melamed, purchased a motorcycle on eBay in December, 2010. Air 7 Seas was to ship the bike to Israel via Istanbul, Turkey. The quote for shipping the motorcycle, as provided by Air 7 Seas, was the most favorable, $ 710,  although once the bike was delivered to them, they informed Mr. Melamed that the price would be a bit higher. Cargo insurance was provided and paid for, although despite numerous requests, the insurance documentation was never provided, even when a claim needed to be made, as I will explain.

The eBay seller had the bike crated and delivered to Air 7 Seas. No complaints or comments about the packing crate were made by Air 7 Seas, and they duly shipped the crate, but to Singapore (!) instead of Istanbul.

When the Singapore agent acted to have the bike sent to Israel, the shipper refused unless my client paid
for repacking, since the crate arrived in Singapore broken.

Air 7 Seas seemed to take days for even the most simple communications, failed to provide insurance
information or documentation, so that by the time Mr. Melamed was able to establish that no help would be forthcoming from Air 7 Seas and agreed to pay for repacking at his own expense, the storage fees
were such that attempting to salvage the bike became prohibitively expensive.

My client’s attempts at communications were met with unpleasantness and threats to have the bike destroyed, At no time did Air 7 make any effort to help resolve the issue, or to have their Singapore agent attempt to mitigate the local storage charges (accepted practice, especially under the circumstances).

Considering the fact that the motorcycle was to have been shipped to Istanbul and that Air 7 was
responsible for the bike being mistakenly shipped to Singapore, full restitution of my client’s losses is mandated, not shrugging it off and leaving Mr. Melamed to his own devices. The bike, safely crated,
was delivered to the Air 7 warehouse, but arrived in Singapore in a broken crate, yet Air 7 takes no responsibility, and prevents my client from making an insurance claim by failing to provide any insurance documentation, if any was indeed purchased, rather than just charged for.

I attach documentation supporting the facts set out in my letter. If the BBB can put any sort of pressure
on Air 7 Seas to satisfy my client’s claims for damages arising from the shipping to the wrong location, failing to have the bike shipped to Israel as they had been contracted to do and failing to
provide help or service of any type, failing to insure or at least failing to provide insurance documentation, that help would be deeply appreciated.

Sincerely yours,

Arie Weiss, Adv.

This is the complaint filled with the Federal Trade Commission (7th Sep. 2011):
I will make this short and as i get all the information together for filling an international law claim, I will send you a copy:
1. I contacted them (27/12/2010) for exporting a bike bought on eBay on 12/15/2010.
2. Initial price proposal was at 710 USD - I agreed to pay as they were the cheapest.
3. Price got to 1000 USD when they had the bike - they had me in their hands, there was nothing I could do but pay, the price included insurance that they highly recommended is necessary.
4. When the bike was delivered to them, it was crate by the seller (which I payed for) and they had no complaints as for the packing.
5. The bike got to Singapore and the crate was broken.
6. They deliberately delayed responses as to accumulate more time that they can charge storage
for.
7. I tried to get the insurance to cover the re-packing as requested by the shipping gate company, but the shipping company failed to respond with insurance coverage details nor assist in reducing financial damage.
8. I tried to get them to help me sort the matter out with the gate company in Singapore but the kept on threatening by disposal of the bike.
9. I wrote the CEO and the VP but they never responded.
10. I had never had such an offensive service, such power manipulators and extorter.
11. Gate company in Singapore asked for 600 USD for re-packing, after I agreed to pay,  the asked for additional storage fees. I checked with shipping experts in Israel and they said that usually such fees are not collected and that the insurance is to cover all charges.
12. I never did get to contact the insurance company nor did I get the insurance coverage policy.
13. I never got the service I payed for!

They are abusive and unfair.
Paying all in advance put me in their mercy and they abused it.
No matter how much I asked them to make this right they kept on ignoring my repeated requests and kept on asking for more money and additional charges.

I wish they are dealt properly by law failing to comply with any standard of international trade and commerce laws and customs.

* All is documented and a transcript of all email correspondence is available.

It has been 2 months and they have failed to answer.
It has been a year and a half and I have yet not recovered my money.

As an outsider to the American nation I would think things are done differently there, a little more honesty and respect.

I think the American public should denunciate such way of conducting business and put such businesses out of business cause they make every one look bad.

Not to mention the awfal complaints and reviews I read on the internet about air7Seas.

The bike is considered a collectors item in Israel and was meant to be a gift to my Father's retirement day!

I will press charges for the full value of the bike and all additional expenses.

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics Cheating & Fraud committed by Air 7 Seas

This company is being by a bunch of cheats and unprofessional people.

I was relocating from USA to India (Pune) and Air7Seas told me that if I send my cargo through Air shipment then I can do custom clearance in Pune (India) and I don't have to take the hassle of going all the way to Mumbai for doing the custom clearance of my cargo. While placing the order with them Air 7 Seas had assured me that it will be delivered at Pune.

However after my cargo reached India, Air7 seas called me and told me that I will have to go all the way to Mumbai to do the custom clearance which was contrary to what I was told before i booked my cargo. They also told me that if I don't get my cargo from Mumbai Airport ASAP then I will have to pay Demmurage charges at Mumbai airport.

I had a big argument with them but there was hardly anything which I could do at this point of time except rush to Mumbai to do the custom clearance of my cargo. I had to undergo lot of inconvenience to get my cargo released from Mumbai and had to take a day off from work and also pay demmurage charges at Mumbai since the cargo was sitting there since last 2 days.

I contacted Air7seas but they refused to pay me the extra charges incurred to get my cargo released from Mumbai. I finally lodged a complaint with BBB and am awaiting there response.

Please avoid this unethical company (Air7Seas) at all cost. You would be better off paying some extra bucks to some reputed shipping company.

Thanks
Ashwani

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics Moving scam!

Its four months since i sent two pallets of all my valuable belongings with a very dishonest company called "air 7seas" www.air7seas.com. I am not sure where to begin after 4 months of aggravation and lies and three thousand dollars paid in full to the company, my stuff has still not arrived and now 3 months after the date they told me my stuff would arrive to my door, they are asking for more money and storage costs. But still no end in sight to their abuse of my innocents when it comes to international moving to Mexico.

Here is how it all began. I was taking quotes from many companies towards my move to Cancun MX from Brooklyn NY. I knew that moving to Mexico is a very detailed process which is why i looked for a company that would do the job door to door from a to z, many companies responded and with better rates then air 7 seas, but the only company that made it very clear to me that they will guarantee the arrival of my stuff to Cancun was air 7 seas. Now, that was very important to me, i do not speak Spanish so i did not have the ability to get involved in the moving process and /or customs clearance. So as soon as they informed me that they have a company in Mexico that works with them for years and takes care of all the work they need done in mexico and i have no need to worry, the next time i will hear about my stuff is when the truck needs final directions to my home in cancun.

Of course non of that happened, leading up to the date that they had told me my stuff would arrive, i began calling their office and sending emails, but to my surprise no response, then i get an email that i most pay in full all the costs before any fines are added, so i paid in full and demanded that someone respond to my questions on where and when my stuff will arrive, finally someone gets back to me and says it will arrive on the 31st but to my surprise nothing happens on the 31st now it is 3 months later and still my stuff have not arrived.

So 26000 worth of stuff are rotting away including over 1000 books and many other items that i have collected over my lifetime are nowhere in sight...

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics thet lie and steal

They lied on when they would pick up the stuff from my home, i should have taken that signal because it only got worse.

My stuff came 2 months after the date i was told it would come.

and only after threatening to sue and my lawyer doing some paperwork did they realize that i mean business and i will sue their ### off.

So now after almost a heart attack, my stuff are here safe and sound, but it was not worth the aggravation.

Try elsewhere. They suck.

Air7Seas - Best

I had started my planning for relocation since March 1st week of 2010. It took solid 13 weeks to get a final offer letter from an employer in Bangalore. I am a regular visitor to this forum to read others shipping experience. From the feedback of others in this forum and actually speaking with couple of other members on the phone, I have selected Air7Seas. I am glad that I have selected Air7Seas as my shipper, the experience so far is very very very good, no night mares, no communication issues, no financial issues, no fine print, no changes to quote, nothing but good feeling.

Overall, the service is very good. Just consider how difficult it is to coordinate so many people involved in the shipping transactions. Starting with the loaders (don't know anything but loading stuff), truck delivery people who drive the container (don't know anything but driving the truck), shipping company (don't know anything but hauling the container on the shipping vessel from US waters to Indian waters), ... well I don't yet on the other side of the ocean.

I would not mind suggesting air7seas to any of my friends for their excellent service.

Air 7 Seas Transport Logistics - They Scam

I am not sure where to begin. We can start with the reassuring phone calls, "being that we are in the business for so many years you have no need to worry we will have your things brought door to door", but when shipping to Mexico there are all the concerns of paperwork, customs and delivery. And to that they responded "the next time you should hear from u...
