I have spent over a month trying to do this. They keep sending me a link that requires a US or Canada address even though I informed them that I lived in the UK. Repeated incompetence. I am about to lose a contract as I need this renewal. This should be straight forward.

There messenger service acknowledges receipt of one of my messages but had done nothing to resolve this.

I have asked them to escalate this to customer complaints but heard nothing back.

I have my Group Fitness Instructor exam scheduled for tomorrow, so I am of course going through my practice exams. AFAA should know that there is a huge mistake in one of their questions:

Which of the following is a function of blood?
Select one:
a. Immunity
b. Filtration
c. Digestion
d. Transportation (Correct)

As I hold a Master of Science degree, I believe this question to be extremely amateur, seeing as the answer a. Immunity is also a valid answer to this question.

I sincerely hope the actual AFAA exam I take tomorrow is more legitimate than this mildly unprofessional online course, which, mind you, costs over $500. If it is not an accurate or professional exam, this company will be hearing from me.

I was lied to by the people who I now know are just salespeople at AFAA about the certification I need. This is a scam similar to Trump University, only not as expensive. I was very clear with the three different people I talked to on three different occasions that I am 68 years old and that I am not ever going to teach a class to anyone under the age of 80. That I only need a certification for Older Adult Fitness. They assured me that I had to first get my Fitness Instructor Certification before I could get the Older Adult Fitness Certification. When I received the materials and started to read them I thought it was way over my head and more than I needed. I called again and was told the same thing. I continued to plow through, reading and watching the videos and not understanding why I had to learn so much that didn't apply to what I needed to work with wheelchair-bound people. I have finally given up and they will not refund my money. I was misled from the beginning and I am very angry as I could have applied this money toward the right course elsewhere and I could have that certification in hand. An organization of high quality would not have sold me something I did not need. An organization with integrity would have been honest and directed me elsewhere. The people at AFAA are in sales and they out and out lied to me to get my funds. I have reached out to them and they say that the window has closed on the refund period, although I called during that refund window and was told to hang in there. They did not offer to refund, they told me to keep at it! They seem to miss the point that they lied to me and this is about the misrepresentation of a product. I have filed with the state AG's office and the BBB.

There is absolutely no customer service! I called them many times almost every day regarding my issue and they never picked up! I wasted so many time just trying to get in touch with someone from Afaa and when they finally picked up the phone the rep was very rude and impolite. He told that he cannot answer my questions, and when I started to complain that they never answered the phone he raised his voice and told that they had other things to do. The worst customer I've ever had! I really hate this company and will never deal with them again.

I applied for aerobic courses on the website www.afaa.com. But due to personal and health problems, I needed to cancel this and contacted the owner and coach. He promised to return money, but he didn’t provide any confirmation email I already contacted him, but he only promised to return money and told that he had bad situation now. Blah-blah. I need money back, and he promised to do it. Crap. I need some advice. Please, help me.
