Advance Auto Parts Fort smith store 6835

Next time I'm lied in advance will be history in my book and I will spend the time to make it a complaint that I know someone will get the message of my good friends at the BBB.
Placed a call mid day as website said call the store for details was told sure I asked after giving my name and email if I need to come down and pay 13 bucks was told on the part be in the next day the 25th I didn't make it to the store till afternoon guess what as I found it was the freaking manager Ross that put a corn cob in my plans as he had lied and didn't order so I had to make a plug, so my neighbor could go to work part will be in today. This 3 ring circus how he is a manager I sure don't see how he is

Advance Auto Parts New Battery purchase

I purchased a new battery in march 22 because my suv was having starting /starter issue which can be misdiagnosed on some car/suv . I also have a jumper pac for that same reason and emergency situation. a day later I still have the uninstall battery sitting in my truck with the original receipt in the glove box because my intention is to get to bottom of my starting later in day light because it was dark that night . I also have to be at work the next day early in the morning for a last minute project which i got a call about it that same time . Fast forward 430am i got up early as usual to start my vehicle and it started fine with out replacing it "Wow", no need to touch the new battery. Fast forward 330p march 23 dead tired get in my car to head home to get a nap before calling the store to take the unused battery get a refund or credit. But never got to do it what i though was great plan, my car had another idea to not to startup to take me home. I grab my Noco boost plus gb40 to jump my car But was unsuccessful in doing it. Frustrated now My thoughts hit me that damn starter craped out leaving me stranded no jump-pack or battery could help me. I started pulling relays, checking fuses but no luck.. Got on phone to call triple AAA
to get a tow home .The rep start asking what is the problem. I said starting issue hi asked did i need a jump. reply NO jump sir it's useless at this time, a tow home..

Next day after borrowing a friends car so i can get to the store to discuss my issue with the unused battery the salesrep he automatically say hi can't because store policy states it. ask where it is not printed on the receipts but now was shown the store policy up on a pole stating it but clearly not stating battery falls in that category. Then out comes a manage loudly speaking to me . i said your tone it not good please take it down a notch show some professionalism. Rudely states that is how i speak> wow what a rude a****
i leave the store frustrated and mad about the whole purchase ...

No longer will go to any of these stores for anything.

Advance Auto Parts Customer service.

Hello. I am contacting you to make a complaint about your Advance Auto store located at 6500 Market street Upper Darby Pa. To make a long story short, my son and I went into your store on Tuesday evening 03/02/2021 to purchase some tail lights for his car that we had just purchased. First of all we were ignored for about 10 minutes while the Manager, or parts Manager held conversation; after they finished conversating I said excuse me can some one help us with tail light bulbs for my car. The manager or at least I assumed he was the manager because he was fumbling with some receipts. Here's the thing that bothered me the most; I ask him to borrow a Philips head screw driver to take the bulbs out of the car so I could replace them all. He look at me and said you need to "buy" a screw driver, because I don't have any screw drivers to lend; So I said are you kidding me and he said you heard me right. I was shocked and bewildered and did not know what to do next, my son and I, we just left and headed to Auto zone, where we were able to get all the tools we needed to get the job done. As a long time customer of Advance Auto, I hope that this doesn't fall on death ears.

Desired outcome: IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Advance Auto Parts Company

The store here in Cambridge MD - believe it's store # 8848. I have been in the store several times and know people who work there. You have a young man Cody and young lady believe her name starts with K. Who work and always trying to please the company and their customers. There are times that customers are down right mean to them yelling they are going to report them to Corp. The General Manager is useless and puts all the work on Cody and other employees. Cody is very supportive and always there. Seeing a young man with such strong work ethics is amazing. Upper Management should be proud to have such wonderful employees and go above and beyond to keep these employees. This store would fall without them.

Advance Auto Parts Failure to allow me to return an item I purchased

I purchased a truck part that was the wrong [part as a truck driver I wasn't able to return to the store until this evening, 1/8/21. The item was purchased 11/22/20, and I was advised of a 45 day return policy that wasn't present or articulated to me at the point of purchase nor is it printed on the receipt.

Advance Auto Parts Car battery

Bought a gold battery for my car a couple years ago and it went bad so went back and they replaced it for free because it was under warranty. The replacement battery lasted maybe a year the replacement battery should have been under a new warranty as it was a new replacement. Was told the new replacement battery wasn't covered didn't get new warranty with new battery was covered under old warranty from original battery. I feel ripped off that I didn't get a full new battery warranty from a supposed new gold battery that lasted 1 year. This rip off experience made me go to auto zone to get a new battery. Not sure what resolution you would want for making me spend money on a new battery when my bad one should have been covered. This happened Saturday, Oct. 24 at the KY, Newport stroe. I purchased a 12 volt car battery about 5 days ago from the Advanced Auto store in Galion, Ohio and was told I could get the core charge ($22) back when I brought back my dead lead/acid battery core. Today (5/26/21), I took my old battery in, along with my receipt expecting the $22 refund. Your employee at the Galion, Ohio store told me that my battery that I was returning was not the same size as the new one I purchased and he could not honor the refund. Or course my old battery was not the same size, that's the reason I purchased a larger one with more amps.
Your idiot employee just cost you a faithful customer.

Advance Auto Parts Customer Service

Every time I go in harvey had to be right beside me. The minute I walk in he wants to know what I want. Je is very rude and tells me I can't return parts only get warranty even with warranty. He tells me I have to wait at the desk while they pull my parts I ordered in line over two hours prior. One time I asked what am I not allowed to look around he said o no you are. But got snappy with employee needed his help. I order most my stuff online and I feel very uncomfortable when this gentleman is right up my butt and rude. And never offers an other part if the one I want isn't available
Due to this not being my first complaint I feel I need to stop shopping at this company if they let employees treat customes like this

Advance Auto Parts Language spoken to the customer

Today I told one of your associates that Walmart sold it the same gallon of Transmission Fluid for $7 cheaper. The returning comment was "I don't care what freaking Walmart sales it for." I left I went to O'Reily's and purchase my part which was also $4 cheaper than Advance plus I got $2 off for being a veteran. I will be going to Walmart to purchase the Transmission Fluid for $7 less because O'Reliy's did not have it in a gallon.

I do not use this type of language! This is not the first time your ssociates have used vulgar language. Maybe a course in the proper language would help your employees learn how to speak to YOUR customers. I have been using Advance since 1990 - it is time to change to a company that respects their customers.

Advance Auto Parts Contactless delivery of products

Advance Auto Parts advertises the safe delivery of products curbside/contactless by putting the products in your trunk. However, as has happened to me twice at store 9359 in Miami, FL this is not the case.
They do bring the products outside to your car but then you have to sign a receipt within perhaps one foot of the store representative, which totally makes this safe delivery protocol useless; the store rep. is standing right next to you breathing on you as you open the car window to sign the receipt.
I suspect this protocol of having to sign for the products, which nullifies the safe interaction that Advance Auto Parts advertises is happening throughout their other stores. This represents a grave problem not only of false advertising but is also a very serious public health issue.
In many other stores they do the same type of outside delivery with no signing of a receipt, therefore no contact and they don't mislead their customers.

Advance Auto Parts Brake pads wear ever gold series

I'm a mechanic an i've done a very high volume of business with advance/car quest, I persuade my clients and customers to purchase advance auto brakes versus rivals! And yesterday manager john and commercial manager will at store # 5910 709 albright rd rock hill sc, has insulted my intelligence to shop and do business any further with advance because he said advance has a new way of doing business which does not honor my warranty for me or my customers, so unless I find out otherwise I am starting to persuade any and everyone I know not to do business with this company! Been doing business here for over 22 years (was told I must have purchased my brakes from online) phone [protected]

Advance Auto Parts Employee refused to help me

I went in today to purchase a part for my truck. The employee refused to service me because I was not wearing a mask. She was wearing one and was behind a piece of Plexiglas. She told me to leave. I went to Autozone and they more than happy to get my part even though I wasn't wearing a mask even Oriellys auto parts help customers without masks.

I'm a employee of advance auto and my district is very unfair he has my store open to the public and his other store on curbside only! Employees cant even go in the store to get parts for are shops we gotta stand outside and wait for parts

I am a past bf of one of the employees since the break up she is trying to say I am stalking her by shopping at a near by store near my home she don't live near the store and there are many other stores that she could be transferred to I request for the sake of drama because I don't want her to be thinking that I am in any way stalking her and I could continue to avoid any issues without her leaving her job repeatedly taking my photo and video on her cell phone without reason or my concent I'm sure there is a store closer to her home adress she could be working at thank you your workers name is Michelle Dawn

Advance Auto Parts check engine light

I have gone to this store 3 times in the last month for a check engine light to see what was wrong. When I went in a female manager told me that I had to give her my wallet to check my light. There were no customers or other people visible so I gave it a shot. I was able to get a code for a bad EGR valve, brought the valve, and replaced it. One week later my check engine light goes on again so I go back to the same store. The exact same thing happens but this time there were customers in the store and other employees there; however the female manager stile demanded my wallet. I let it go, went and ran the code, but was not ab le to make much sense of the code this time. so when I went back in to get my wallet I asked about it. Apparently I did not know how to read the tool and the manager gave me tons of attitude, looked up the code, and when I asked what it was she said to google it as she did not have time to help me since I was not buying anything. One week later today on December 13 2019 I went back to get my code read again after having work to my vehicle. I went in and the manager was on the phone so I patiently waited in line. When she got off the phone I asked to get my code read and this time I was not giving up my wallet. I asked her to go out and read the code and all of the sudden this employee just straight went off on my how I cause problems in here store, being there, shopping, and I flat out DID NOT accept her screaming at me as an customer. I told here that it was her job, not right for her to yell and scream at me, I told her out right she was being unacceptable, and I stored out of the store. This is by FAR the worst experience I HAVE ever had in my ten years of shopping at your stores, and if this kind of behavior is acceptable then I will not be going back to any stores and will be making sure that people are aware of your horrible training practices.

Advance Auto Parts hyundai elantra relay

I stopped in and asked for a relay for my car. The "know-it-all" lady behind the counter said she didn't need the part # or actual part. I showed her a photo on my phone of the exact part with the part # on it (I included the photo below). She glanced at it and insisted that's all she needed...the shape and plug configuration. I asked if she needed to punch the part # in her computer. She said the part # was not important at all. She also said any 12v relay with that plug configuration will work just fine. I bought the part and when i tried installing it I realized it was a slight fraction of an inch too large and would not fit. I went to return the part and the manager there (the same "know-it-all") said they will not refund money on an electrical part...even though she remembered selling me the part. I told her I was going to call their Corporate Office...and she said, "That's fine, I'll even give you their telephone #." She stated i didn't give her the part #, but never mentioned that she insisted she didn't need it ! She even told your customer service team, i didn't provide a part #...just a picture. I still have the exact pocture on my phone, plus aren't you supposed to type the part#, or year and make of the vehicle in the computer to look it up? Lol...theres an Oreilly's near by. The representative there laughed when i told him what the Advanced Auto Rep had said about them all being compatable. Needless to say, I purchased the correct part elsewhere and should receive a refund for the part your Manager insisted was the correct part.

Advance Auto Parts very poor customer service from an employee at store # 6213 bridgeport - ct -06606

I went today 11/3/19 to my store #6213 I was to buy oil and filter to my Nissan Pathfinder 2012. I wanted full synthetic engine oil but i found some difficulties finding the right reference # of the filter, there was no book to look for the right code #, I went to the front desk to ask one of the associates but I didn't get no help from a Hispanic lady named Cristina or perhaps Christine I was not really able to see clearly her name but I could see kind of Cristina... She answered me that she was not to tell me the filter #, she told me to make a line to someone else, I said that she was doing a very poor customer service, she then told me to go to another store, I said that was not nice to send me to go to another auto parts, she then said that NAPA or Auto Zone were also open, I said that my choice was to go to Advanced auto parts because it is close to my house and she was not anyone to tell me where to go, so, then she screamed at me saying that she was not to attend me and asked me to move out from her cashier. I was forced to go to another customer associated in your store to get the help with the filter # ... the other employee provided me with the filter # and once again I was making line to pay, I was to go to her cashier but she turned me down and I was to wait extra time until another cashier got empty. I said to that nasty lady that I was to report that situation and she was like making funny of me saying " Yeah ! Go report me... I can give you my manager's name " ... I walked away and I feel that she was totally wrong on her aptitude against a customer who only was asking why Advanced does not have a book available to find the filter's code instead of making a big line to ask for the code and a second line to pay for the oil and filter.

Advance Auto Parts service

The service in this store with this very racist store manager name john is very disturbing to me I know it still exist but truly he needs to stay home the only employee that tried to assist me and greeted me is his name badge says roc he greeted me he truly made me feel like he wanted to assist me the john character didn't speak didn't even act. Like he wanted to help because what made me come to this conclusion is when a caucasian customer came in it was welcome to advance auto parts can I help you with all smiles really advance is this what you are promoting now I frequent this advance a lot but not as long as the kkk sup is there like I am truly appalled😠😠

Advance Auto Parts batteries

Hello, I bought a battery back in August of 2015. It started acting up on me about a week ago, so I went into the advanced auto that sold me the battery. First the manager approached me and with no welcome or how can I help you. He says what do you need. I explained to him about the situation and he advised me I had to remove the battery and bring it in to have it tested. Now I know they could have easily tested it while in the car. I did as he asked. Then they proceed to tell me that my replacement warranty has ran out. Saying that they can only give me $18 dollars on a purchase of a new battery at the price of $196. I explained nobody told me about this odd warranty when it was sold. They said they can't do anything for me. I had to then practically beg them to at least charge it for me since I had already removed it from the vehicle. I will never patronize advanced auto again and will tell everyone I know to do the same. Their products and service leave much to be desired.

Advance Auto Parts counter sales

Last week we bought a headlight for ine of our service vans. The counter person looked up the part. When we went to install the light it was the wrong part. The counter person looked up the wrong truck. When i took it back after paying over 25.00 for it i was told that they dont take back electrical parts after there opened. This would be acceptable if this was a self service store lije nenards..walmart ect.

Advance Auto Parts transmission fluid for 2009 pontiac g5 given wrong transmission fluid.

I went and purchased transmission fluid and filter for a 2009 Pontiac G5. And I am not familiar with the types of transmission fluid. So I thought I had the right transmission fluid. Well after it was changed. My transmission started slipping severally and my car would not go anywhere. We had appointment the very next morning in Lexington KY at the doctor's office. And low and behold the car tore up. My just quit pulling. So we had to pull over and eventually have it towed home. And we went and purchase another transmission fluid and filter. And my car takes synthetic transmission fluid. And it takes 7 quarts at $10 something a quart. I had to buy it again because of Advance Auto Parts Store giving me the wrong transmission fluid. I think Advance Auto Parts Store should be responsible for refunding my money and paying my tow bill and also replacing my transmission. Because after I changed it with the correct transmission fluid. My transmission went out of my car. And I don't have the money to replace the transmission. I think it be only right. I am trying to settle this with out a lawyer but I know I have a hell of a case. I have my receipts and everything. And I will give Advance Auto Parts Store to do the right thing.
