Add People / Add Media Group They won’t return my money

This company have taken £1000 off of me . They took a payment of £500 to make a ppc for my website within another 10days they took another £500 off of me. I asked them why they did this they then said they I had to pay a month up front ? I have not had my campaign and have asked them to return my money as I don’t wish to work with them as I have changed my mind. I find it odd how a company would just expect you to pay £500 up front monthly costs. They have point blank refused to give my money back and told me that’s not an option. I want my money back and I don’t wish to work with them.

Claimed loss: £1000

Add People / Add Media Group Cold Calling

This company non stop cold call, they tried last year very rude, pushy agents. They do not listen. I asked loads of times last year to be taken off their call/ mailing list!

Today another call I told him no, he tries belittle me saying he wants t speak to the owner, I say that's me, and we have an in-house team for PPC and he continues to whale on. They do not listen! I had to tell him three more times to which I then just hung up!

Yes let me just fire my staff and hire you! LISTEN!

Add People / Add Media Group Denying mismanagement of my account and not allowing me to terminate contract

I feel this company must not be doing so well financially because they are desperately trying to seek every dollar out of their clients who are primarily small business owners. 6 months ago, they convinced me that the company I hired to manage my google ads were doing poorly and that if I switched to Add People, they can do better. I switched over in October 2021 so that they can have time to set-up their campaigns and be ready for the busiest time of the year - Black Friday! Unfortunately, their promises were too good to be true. My ROAS dropped from 8x to 3x even though they had the advantage of the best selling period of the year. At one point in February, my ROAS was as low as 1x. When I asked them why such poor performance, my account manager admitted to me that they probably made too many changes to my campaigns at the same time causing the slowdown in conversions. She proceeded to reverse all the changes in the hopes of reviving my account. When I asked her what the strategy was going forward, she said that they will "keep trying different things". With the lack of a sound strategy and the mismanagement of my campaigns, I requested to cancel my contract before my 6 months was up. They claimed that there was no evidence that my account was "mismanaged" and therefore, they will still be charging me for the remaining 2 months even though I am no longer using them. I am sharing this because this company is one of the most unethical companies I have ever worked with. Unfortunately, I do not have in writing what my account manager shared with me and therefore, I could not prove that she admitted to me that the account was mismanaged.

Desired outcome: Refund me for the month of March (I am no longer using their ad campaigns) and terminate the contract, releasing me from April and May payments.

Cameron Smith, Head of ecommerce, called me this morning and we had a pleasant discussion. He clarified the timeline of events and asked what my desired outcome would be. He agreed to terminate the contract so that I will not have to pay for April and May fees. He will be digging into the month of March to see if offering me a refund is justified. I am satisfied with this resolution. During my conversation with him, I felt that this is the level of service that I would have expected from this company. It is unfortunate that it had to result in me writing a bad review before they were able to put me in touch with the right person.

I had a sales call from them. I paid to set up my account. Within the hour I cancelled the contract, as I have a cooling off period. Since then I have been trying to get my money back. Two months later, they constantly call me. I keep saying I want my money. They even admitted they have taken my money and not done anything for it. I'm being harassed and it's becoming very alarming. Just want my money back.

Add People / Add Media Group site advertising, promoting and improving

They found me after i oppened a google add express campaign.
They told me terrible lies accusing google that was stealing my money and many others. They promised me that in a few months they will guide me to success.

I paid them to set up my my campaign 250 and 100 plus VAT every month.
For six months i was begging them to help me improove my results in google search but they were doing nothing. My results were going worst to worst. I was tired to ask them to help me. I had no help at all, no advises and without work for six months.

I asked them to refund me all the money i payed to them as they never did anything of what they promised.Now they are threating me with a solicitor to continue to pay them.

Stay away they are a dangerous fraud.

Add People / Add Media Group ppc services

Buyer beware, be very very careful of signing up with this company. Their initial chat and overview will promise you to improve on what you have previously acheived. Do your research fully and properly by reading reviews and others of their customers.

They will then ask you to sign a 12 month contract on direct debit, I had it reduced to 6 months (although the initial contact person will tell you its ok, they will then say "they cant change the contract".)
Be very very careful on what they say and actualy do. My cost per real lead/enquiry rocketed up 200+% higher, and then they say we will call you for a review and forget or dont call you, they told me to suspend the ppc twice as they just couldnt get it to work.
My contract says 10% management charge of ppc spend then they say something else and try and take monies they havent earnt on direct debit. My experience is real and when ive offered them the 10% management fee on what they spent, they want more than 400% of what they are entitled to. They are now threatening me with court action. Buyer beware and check their reviews on other independent sites.

I have now had my complaint dealt with to my full satisfaction, I am being told by this site I cant remove my complaint as i would want to as it would be only fair and proper to do so now they have dealt with it so fairly and properly.

Add People / Add Media Group campaign

We already asked to terminate contracts in July. No payment went out in August. So it was quite clear you understood we had cancelled . You asked if you could do us a landing page free of charge, which normally is a cost.

We did ask to verify there was no cost and you said no. Which was confirmed in an e-mail.
Now you have taken another £190 without consent. I will be taking this further.
Also we asked not to be contacted again. Your files should have been updated. But you still continue to call us,
I will be taking this further as well.

Add People / Add Media Group website design/ adwords/ facebook advertising

Paid them 4, 000 to design a website. They spent 7 months trying to push an absolutely terrible website on me causing a lot of stress, making me feel like i was being awkward and also costing me money hiring graphic designers to try to resolve some of the issues. Only for them to turn around on month 7 and say oh, sorry, we had you on the "wrong product" all along.

Now I want nothing to do with this company and even though they provided TERRIBLE service they will not let me out of the contract stating they cannot find a justifiable reason, when, if anything, they owe ME money.

I don't mind being in a contract with a company that can deliver but avoid any company that will use the contract as an excuse to not bother once they have you

Add People / Add Media Group Refused a refund when I cancelled one hour after purchase- a right bunch of cowboys

Stay well away from this bunch of pushy con merchants! They phoned me several times a day (unsolicited) to get me to speak to them. Eventually I took their call and a VERY pushy salesman called Graeme Browne persuaded me to pay nearly £250 for a consultation I'd be having several days later. Firstly, there was no need for a consultation as all they needed to do was go to my website to find out all they needed to know. I asked him before signing an online contract if i could change my mind after singing and he said I had a 2 week cooling off period (which is UK consumer law). After hanging up I did some research into Add People and wasn't happy with what i found out.I then emailed him my cancellation of the contract within one hour of signing it. They are refusing to refund me, saying it's non -refundable. I will get my money back via my credit card refund department, but the mere fact they lied to me makes mes o glad i didn't carry on doing business with them. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Add People / Add Media Group Unprofessional, pushy, rude consultant!!!

Just had a dreadful time wasting call from Add People! on the phone for 42 mins to a terrible pushy consultant to which, in the end, was pretty much having a go at me, do i not want my business to go anywhere, where do I want my business to be in 6 months! crikey what a complete tool ! I'm perfectly happy with the way my business is going and I have more than enough clients! I will be advising everyone to steer clear of this completely unprofessional organisation with rude, pushy consultants!

Add People / Add Media Group Mugging people scams

Stuart Britton they did the same to me I believe in what this guy saied in another review, the ruined me, no more ever again add people, Simon you ain't got a bloddy idea what you sell through your mouth Absolutely shocking service... Do not be fooled by these fake reviews! The initial sales call sounds great but from then on it's horrendous. A complete waste of money. Be sure to check the contract & small print before you tie yourself into this company for 12 months. They talk the talk but cannot walk the walk. These google reviews are almost certainly fake & easily made up by creating various gmail addresses... beware!
The service the provide you, can easily be set up by yourself Do not sign up with this people they are the worse in the uk!

Be aware addpeople are a scam company this company will scam you and use black hat seo, your site will vanish and they will still charge you monthly for nothing, they cost me £5000. The people who stole from me his name is Toby Dean, be aware.

Add people are a scam seo company, that will sit on there butts and do nothing then still charge you. This bad scam company is giving seo a bad name in the UK, If you try to contact them they will ignore your calls and emails, terrible company that lie through their teeth.

Addpeople are scammers. Do not do business with this shady outfit hiding behind a corporate smile. Same scam, links, google ad's they will sell you anything to line their pockets and leave you with nothing. Corrupt from top to bottom do not trust, this is a scam, they are a scam, the directors are crooks

Addpeople need shutting down. They are the same as all the other Manchester marketing fraudsters. Addpeople fired me for not hitting target for one day, I know they instruct their staff to rip people off, seriously add people need closing. Scammers, fraudsters, thirds

Avoid AddPeople, you will not see any return on your investment! In the introduction / review of your Google Ads account they tell you that they can optimise your account, improve CPA and classify you as a “growth prospect”. Almost from the moment we gave them access to our account, sales began to drop and our marketing spend increased 200-300%. We also provided them with access to our Facebook so (we hoped and were told) they could utilise and combine the data to get a thorough understanding of our market. The Facebook campaign was a disaster, thousands spend with a handful of sales. We communicated our concerns about the rising spend and dropping sales but they will claim any external factor that is influencing your sales, BUT not their strategy or campaign…those are “textbook perfect”! A sample of reasons they’ll outline, why you’re not seeing sales: Seasonality, COVID19, Competition, Consumer Disposable Income, Economic Trends, Website Speed, Checkout Process, Website Content etc etc (but under no circumstances could it be their lack of understanding of marketing). All this despite successfully operating our website for over 5 years with thousands of sales (no issues such as website speed, content, checkout process etc).

Their staff will say that they’ll implement changes that sound good on paper, but they are not followed through, they will go on annual leave and catch you up on their return (but your daily ad spend continues to be wasted while no one is actively managing your campaign!), they will hand you over to another team member with “more experience” etc etc. All wastes of time, effort and money.

When after many months, thousands in lost revenue, marketing spend and AddPeople fees, you decide that you’ve had enough, and need to take think of your business and take back control of your marketing. AddPeople will harass and threaten with legal action because all they truly care about is their UPFRONT monthly fee which is without any commitment of targets / risk free to them. They DO NOT care about your hard earned money which they are wasting on you behalf with their ineffective, expensive marketing campaigns which generate almost no sales.

When you explain to them that paying for their service can only make sense when it adds to the bottom line, they brush it off, provide any circumstance as to why they are not at fault, offer no resolution and frankly become rude and oblivious. They DO NOT have their customers interest at heart, they only want you to sign their contract so they can charge you by direct debit, upfront!

Check out all the negative reviews online about AddPeople, I wish we had done a more thorough research about this company but we got blinded by their false promises and lost tens of thousands as result. A costly lesson!

The reason your journey with Addpeople doesn't work, is because you don't have a clue about what you're doing. They boast 3500+ clients on their website and only 18 Adwords qualified people. Hmmmm That's 194 clients per consultant.

Assuming they work 40 hrs per week, that gives each consultant 1.96 clients, per hour, to work on in each month. That means you get no more than 30 minutes work per month for your money.

They do pretty well out of it. if you assume a monthly fee of £150 that's 525k per month of rec rev.

That is the reason they make mistakes, and you lose your money. Do the math.

You are getting what you pay for. Very little.

I’m sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service that we provided you with. I’ve investigated your complaint as we hate to see customers leaving us on bad terms.

It looks like you came on board with us for our PPC advertising service, this service aims to drive relevant traffic to your website using Google AdWords, and this is what we delivered.

Whilst we’re happy to advise you on changes to make to your website to turn more of this traffic into sales (and your account manager did advise you on recommended changes throughout your campaign), we can’t do any more in terms of helping you to turn the traffic into paying customers unless you choose to pay for this service too.

In regards to your contract and payments, whilst we are sorry that you forgot to check how to cancel, you must appreciate that we do state these terms clearly, and they are not unusual terms, many telephone, gym and household bill contracts work in the same way.

I used this company as well, I had a 3 month contract with them which was supposed to spend £200 per month on Google but less than £100 was spent each month. At the end of the three months I asked for the unspent surplus to be returned plus my set up fee as i actually got no calls from the campaign and i was told Add People do not give refunds :(

Went with AddPeople on March, paying £240 every months, for a small business like mine it was quite a straggle but I really believed it will bring me customers - not even single one! Absolute waste of money! I couldn't wait when this campaign will stop, but after 6 months they were keep going to take my money from the account. When I called I've been told that I should cancel the contract 30 days prior. They don't send you any notification of it, this thing written in a very small letters somewhere on the bottom and frankly running a business, being busy does anyone have time to remember that they need to call and cancel something 30 days in advance? When I tried to convince them they're wrong and they should give me the refund the answer was no. I've never received such an awful customer service, I feel robbed, campaign cost me lots of money and stress. Read reviews before you go with them, in my opinion - it's a SCAM company. I'll take my complaints further. I won't stop till I will get my money back.

Signed up with addpeople in april 2015 was promised between 200 and 600 hundred clicks per month for our campaign now into the third month of the campaign barely had 100 clicks per month
With that said have contacted them on numerous occasions to sort it out but been fobbed off paid them nearly £900 alraedy and only had 96 clicks per month on average that equates to £3 ppc what a rip off
The sales team promise the earth and deliver nothing however this is not the end of this

Please under no circumstances sign up with these con men all my ads were targeted in the wrong place so i did not get the right demographic contacting me for business the keywords i approved were not put in my campaign so i was getting clicks from the wrong people when i tried to get in touch with any one it took four days for them to get back to me and then the changes they made were not right alarm bells started ringing straight away when on my adwords advert they put my home address and own mobile phone number i have two freephone numbers on my website this was so un professional for an experienced company when i spoke to Matthew he said he would release me from the contract if i felt i was not getting value from it but when i cancelled my dd they sent me a solicitors letter within 4 days wanting £2, 200 they are very aggressive when trying to get money i am going to fight this i will not pay them a penny i would rather liquidate my company and set up again Neil Richardson.
