Items on sale rack / manager
On the 26th of December 2022 around 11-12, we went to Ackerman's in Springs mall as I had to exchange an item that I brought for a bigger size. As I was looking for my size, there was a rack that had marked down sales and took the item in my size and went to the counter, I asked what is the price on this item as it was on the marked down side and it was more than a mark down, so I asked the lady at the till how can it be, because it was at the marked down side, she then asked the manager and the manager Winnie was so rude and said that the item was not on the mark down side and I asked her how did I get it there then and then she said in a rude manner that she doesn't know it must be customers that had to put there. So, as I got irritated, I had to pay extra money in for that item (according to Winnie it was not there), that even the till lady was just standing there and didn't know what to say. I then told Winnie that she needs to make sure that the clothing is on the right place and labelled. she said, yes, I will in a rude way. I wasn't pleased about it. instead of helping the customer, she preferred to be rude. I'm not angry about paying extra, I'm angry because of how the lady spoke to a customer, while there was a long que, I don't know if it was race as I'm a white lady and so far, the only white person that was there.
Desired outcome: She needs to respect other people and if she doesn't feel good then she must not take it out on the customers. It's very rude.
Bad customer service
I was at Akermans Greenstone branch on 29 December 2022, and the shop had just closed at 18:00, I quickly rushed to the till points and to my dismay all cashiers were busy cashing up and I had to stand there watching all of them about 4 or so while only one cashier was serving another customer on top of that she also let another customer to cut the que in front of me, she eventually serviced me about 15 minutes later and I told her that what was happening was not acceptable for all cashiers to close tills while there was customers in the store and I knew that for a fact because I also worked as cashier. The treatment I received from that branch was the worst I have ever seen in my life, staff members just ignoring a customer's like it was normal, I also took a video of the incident of which I can send on request but I will attach the slip for ease of reference to collaborate the times and dates stated above.
Desired outcome: The front line staff members who were on duty on the day needs to be given a warning and also training on customer service will be very useful for them

Good evening i hereby asking headoffice to assist me as i am asking for refund of a phone i bought on the 19th dec i brought to the Ackermans store where i bought and told her the reason why i bring it back.There is a cupboard that is missing she said she wants it .Am surprised if you can check records am a customer hv bougt many phones in Ackermans ,the store is Vincent East London ECape. I Aleanor Any Lukas ID nr [protected] filled a complaint in store at limpopo mall regarding a payment that was made on another account which is not mine the lady told me telephonically that it will take 6 days to rectify which I noticed was not done. My card has been blocked & I need to pick up a new card yet the payment was not reversed and paid to my account. I've send everything that was asked from me yet my account is now in arrears.
I have just received another massage saying my account is outstanding after I been told it'll take 6 days to be rectified
Voucher not working
Hello! Julietha Maumela, cellphone [protected]. I have won R500 voucher from Ackermans competition that is redeemable at Shoprite/ Checkers. I went to Shoprite/ Checkers to redeem the voucher but it was not working. I have tried on escalate this matter to Ackermans but they are unable to help. How can they announce winners and gives voucher numbers that are invalid, I was so embarrassed at the till when the voucher declines and have to take the things i was trying to buy back , I'm so disappointed at Ackermans

Refund
On the 10/11/22 my account was overpayed, the next day I went to notify them and and asked for a refund.We called the head office. I was told to email my bank statement, id copy and a letter explaining what happened, I sent an email ob 14/11/2022 and I was told to expect a call within 48 hrs. 48 hrs passed I went back I was told it would take the maximum of 14 days, I went again after 14days they told me they would call me within 48 hrs, after 48 hrs I went again they told me it would be resolved withi 5 to 10 working days and I'm still waiting
Desired outcome: Can I have my money back please.
Lack of respect and customer service

I bought from your new store Ackermans connect I decided to check out your store and see if I can get earphones unfortunately I was served by one of your rude employees I have never met someone so rude I asked him I wanted affordable earphones and I took the one I saw first then decided to take a different one this guy called Siphiwe told me that why am I ignorant and I shouldn't blame him for not looking around to weigh my options I will no longer go there make sure you have staff that are so disrespectful and do not lnow how to build repo with us as your clients. I should actually go get my refund back so disappointed.

Bad customer service
I got bad customer service in ackermans upper church street in pietermaritzburg on 09 Dec 2022, there was no size for me in the dress I wanted to buy on the floor then I requested for assistance because I saw my size the doll displayed was wearing however the lady said that she will not undress the doll for me she said that with bad attitude.
She was supposed to give me what I wanted an dress the doll with other dress I was not happy with the service

Somebody bought anew phone mobicel epic on the [protected] at palms spring mall. And she was given a till slip with terms and conditions. And it said it is returned with original packing, accessories and pop. So I did not like the phone I went this morning to orange farmmall to exchange it with another phone and was told it cannot be done. This is really [censored] as what ever they told me was ment to be on the slip. Iam really not happy with ackermas service. I need answer now as if you dont assist. Funeral arrears notice sent to wrong address
My name is not Muzi Mndebele. I do not have and have never had an account with Ackermans. I do not have a Family Funeral scheme membership with Ackermans, IUA or anyone else. I keep on getting messages, most recently on 29/11/2022 at17:24, addressed to Ms Mndebele telling her to make sure her Ackermans account is up to date with enough credit available. The final line is: Hollard Licenced Life Ins & Auth FSP. TSs ans Std rates apply.
I have tried to tell Ackermans about their error, or someone's error using their name, but the messages keep on coming. They do not look entirely convincing and I want them to stop. If they are genuine, then someone needs to find Ms Mndebele's real contact details and tell her about it.
Product and service
Last Tuesday I purchased a Premio x85 device @R1399.00 from your Darling Street branch in Cape Town for my daughter. On Sunday she reported to me that she cannot connect to our home w-fi and as well as at my office.
Monday and Tuesday there was a major taxi stayaway and that prevented me from coming through. I then reported the matter earlier today and I was told that my waranty period had expired, therefore could not do much for me as a store.
They then promised to escalate the matter to head office via email and they were not too sure about the turn around period. They made a copy of my proof of purchase and took my contact details.
I left the store not satisfied at all by the way that the above matter was handled. I therefore choose this route to contact your team, with the hope that a better result will prevail.

Having a complaint of a phone I brought in Ackermans Tsumeb Namibia it's A03core on 08.09.2022 and not even long have I stayed with the phone and it started freezing, I complaint to the manager but they just to me they will give it in to 3g .but when they send in the phones the phone came the with same problem,please help I don't get enough customer care in Tsumeb Ackermans. Desired outcome: Please I will like to have my refund or get a new phone ,of same amount ,I'm not happy of the customer service we get here in Namibia Tsumeb Ackermans
Customer service very poor
I'm complaining about the poor service I had today at ackermans orange farm they chase us out of the store while we were choosing to buy at around 17h45 and they rushed us to finish cause they wanted to close and it was 15 minutes before 18h00 and they were already started to clean and making it impossible to move around the shop and chose the clothes we wanted to buy and that was the worst experience of shopping the managers name is sakhumzi nkondlo who was cleaning and giving us this attitude, I'm really not happy about this

No feedback on application of account
I am based in Namibia, employed in Windhoek. Applied for an account on the 23/09/2022, was called the following week, four times by different employees for confirmation of my application. The last consultant I spoke to just had to confirm with our Human Resource department and get back to me, but until now, I have no feedback. I even provided the direct mobile number of my HR, as she simply had to do employment confirmation only before advising me to which store I must go provide proof of the necessary documentation.
Desired outcome: Please provide me with feedback regarding the application of my account and what to do further as soon as you can as it is almost a week, with no contact or feedback.
Bad services from the Account Department
I went to Mafikeng Mall in Mafikeng the 23th August 2022..I applied online but after 3 sms I took the required documentation to the store..the cashier scan it..send it to the Account Department..after 20 minutes they phoned the Department to ask if they received the required documentation which they stated they did..I will receive a sms in 24 hours..which I also did..stating..I must or email or go to my nearest store to give in the same documents I already send 6 times..the last sms which was on the 29 th of August 2022 I received stated..I must go to the store to collect my card and show again my pay slips..because I get paid in cash not through my bank but I do get a R1000 every month in my bank but it's not my salary..I'm very disappointed in the bad service..many people complaining about the same problem..
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response on this matter because I never had this response before at any other store..They chasing clients instead of winning them to buy at Ackerman's..
Account which is still pending
I applied for a Ackerman's account at Mafikeng Mall in Mafikeng..The store staff were very helpful but the Account Department at head office are very rude and unhelpful..I've been 6 times in the store..they scan the necessary documents the Account Department required..the put it on the tablet and send it to them..phone them and ask if they received it..they answer "yes" I will get a message in 24 hours..then 24 hours they send me again..they need the proof of income and bank statements..I don't receive my salary in the bank..I received my salary cash and I did provide them with 3 months pay slips..I do get an additional R1000 in my bank for many years now..but it's not my salary..I'm very disappointed because this is now going on from the 19 th August 2022 and it's sad how we as the customer get treated by the Account Department..no patient and very rude..how many other customers get treated the same way..
Desired outcome: Don't anyone get a account with pay slips
The staff beat my wife and cut her hair off and robbed of her money from swiping at the store
On the 3nd of September 2022 at about 11:00am my wife went to Ackermans store in Westgate mall at Roodepoort and she was doing her shopping when she stole items n hide the due she didn't have enough money but when she was caught immediately apologized and asked to pay for them and the manager charged her twice the price and the nightmare started when they wanted to swipe her card on her absence and she refused with it and asked to go with them the they started threatening her to stabe her with a scissors and they started beating her two males pinning her on the ground flat then the other ladies beating her cutting her hair off completely with a scissors then swiping all the money from the card until its 000.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and pay for this ordeal.
Complain about ackermans card that I lost when I request to make new one I was told my identity document is old.
On 2022-08-31 at about 14:50 I was at ackermans store three river vereeniging to pay my account, so I had to make card so that I can pay cause I lost my card.
But the store manager refused to make card for me she said my identification documentation is old but when I was applying to have account with ackermans their approved with old identification document.
Now she give me writing account number on a paper anytime when I make payment I must use that number up until I make smart card I am not happy about her service cause other shops their do help me with my identification document and banks please help me
Desired outcome: i need that store manager to apologized and assist me with new card
Poor quality clothing
It's enough that management at Ackermans is down the drain and the staff acts as if they doing you a favour, But selling poor quality clothing! That's beyond me. I bought a hoody for my son, half of the stitching is coming loose and your prices for this thing is close to woolworths prices. How do you even get it right to pass this through quality control or are the people there also over worked and underpaid like your staff says.
