Ackermans Lost lay buy

My lay buy was paid up on time but didn't get time to collect as I was out of the country. Today I went to collect, surprisingly my clothes were sold to other customers without my knowledge. I ask why they didn't contact me to ask my where about m not getting a response. I ask for my money back, the manager is refusing saying I can only get a voucher but m no longer interested after all this saga. M so dissatisfied and disappointed with all this because I was also forced to lay buy. I went to do shopping, there's laodshedding and they couldn't take cards so I used small cash I had just to get those items.

Desired outcome: I want my clothes or my money

Ackermans Query on samsung a03 core phone

I bought a phone Samsung AO3 Core for R1499 on 21 February 2023 at Ackermans Store in Arcadia Centre, Pretoria.

On 27 June 2023, the phone stopped working. It did not want to switch on and in July 2023, I took it back to the store for repairment because it worked hardly four months and stopped working.

After a week, the Technologia Repair company send me a quotation of R4000 through SMS and I declined the quotation because I felt it was too high and they send me an SMS which said the phone will be returned to me unrepaired because I declined the quote. Prior to that, Ackermans did not have any decency to contact me for an update.

Before and after declining the quote, Ackermans was still quiet about the update on what was wrong with the phone.

Then I decided to personally go to Ackermans and that’s when they told me that they will make a follow-up the following day. As promised, that following day they called me and say the Technologia Repair said I must pay R299 and I declined because I took the phone to them and they never mentioned that there will be some courier cost as the phone was still under warranty and where they will take phone to, for repair. I also asked what is wrong with the phone and why the high quotation and she could answer nor explain.

I am not satisfied with the poor customer service and lack of communication Ackermans has given me and since my phone is still under warranty, I still want to know:

· Why am I supposed to pay Four thousand rand (R4000.00)?

· What exactly is the problem with my phone and why is it not fixed

I contacted Hello Peter with the matter and their customer service gave me the following standard response:

Trust this mail finds you well.

When a phone gets booked in for repairs a quotation is given to a customer when there is either physical or liquid damage to a phone. As per our terms and conditions our warranty does not cover either of those damages.

I responded by saying that when I took the phone to the store it was checked and there was no water damaged. I asked them that I am still not satisfied because I want to know what exactly is the problem and why Technologia Repair just sent the quotation without even telling what is wrong with the phone.

When I asked them about why am I being charged the amount for courier and repairment whereas the phone is still under warrany , this is their response:Hi Mmakgomo,

You will need to reach out to Technologia Repair company for them to inform you what they charging you for.

Ackermans Complaining about poor service and staff being rude towards customers

To whom it may concern

I would like to raise a complain towards Your staff being rude to customer's and not putting customer's first they do not Practice "a Customer comes first policy" we had an issue regarding their price tag of which they failed to change, when I was purchasing the item scanned double the amount that was written on the tag and a lady that was helping us had a nerve to ask me that do I mind paying the full price because someone that works on that station "forgot" to put the correct price tag an old lady that works there as cashier rudely said "so the problem is paying the extra R10"? I don't mind paying that R10 is that how you treat your customers like dirt? With no respect? Is that how Ackerman's operate now? Your staff fail at doing their Jobs correctly because they know they gonna take money from their pockets to correct their wrongs and since when is the staff allowed to have money on the floor, I was really disrespected by those ladies and I fully demand an apology from them and I do not ever wanna see them in that store ever again Prisca and Pamela, I will wait for feedback.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and also I do not ever wanna see Those people in Your store ever again, and also I would really appreciate a Feedback on the matter.

Ackermans Need to log complaint against manager from Ackermans in Malmesbury

On Friday 28/07 I went to Ackermans in Malmesbury.A small town outside Cape town. It was loadshedding when I was there. It was quiet when I heard one of the staffmembers swearing. I was shocked when I was told it is the manager of the store. This is highly unprofessional as I usually go to that store and all of the staffmembers is so friendly. For a store manager to swear like that is unacceptable especially in front of the customers. I repeat this happened at Ackermans Malmesbury and I never want to visit that store again.

Desired outcome: No apology from the manager, However I've received an apology from one of the staffmembers which by the way is one of your friendliest staff so far. I would like to give her a huge thanks. Her name is Petronella Arendse

Ackermans Management

On 29th July 2023 at Ackermans in Liberty Promenade Mall I made a laybye and after I left the cashier that helped me Leticia left her workspace and told the manager I made a laybye and my mom works there? Why today does the rules change that I'm unable to make a laybye cause my mom works there ,why were we not informed earlier so according to management my mom will now take out the order and give it to me without paying !bare in mind my mom has been with the company for 5years I'm disgusted by the poor management style that store has ,treating their staff and family members like criminals is unacceptable,so now I have to travel to otherAckemans stores but Liberty Promenade is the nearest

Ackermans Stealing and liar

So on Saterday the 15th of July 2023 I went to Ackermans at Atlas ville to purchase clothes. It was around 11:15

I was in a rush and forgot my wallet there, when I went back to ask for it, the Manager said there was no wallet left.

Monday I went back to see if the Women that was working in Saterday was there to ask her, as the Manager said she was off.

Tuesday I then went back, and the wallet was left there, they returned it, but with no cards in. My money and all my card was stolen out my wallet.

A purched on my bank card was made to an Uber that I have then received a message that my card is being used to order a Uber.

I went back again to ask for footage to see what lady working at Atlas took all my cards and money and the Manager was miffed and has a attitude because I have asked to see the footage.

My Ackermans card that I used Saterdag the 15th is Stolen

Desired outcome: I want to please ask that the Lady at Ackermans who stole my wallet please to return the rest of my cards and money that was in my wallet

Ackermans Payment not received... Proof payment sent

I have paid my account on the 26 of June and they requested proof of payment which I did sent to them...no one is saying anything when I call its a different story and when I sent emails no reply

I called today again I spoke to a very rude I person I don't if it's a guy or woman by the name of Misa or Musa Sama something like that that person is Xhosa..he doesn't like his job u must fire him

I asked nicely to speak to someone who speak setwana cause really I'm annoyed as [censored]

Then he said he there is no one and he doesn't understand wat I'm saying but he was responding to everything I was saying

Then he hung up the call on me

I don't want this account anymore

Because now they say I owe 1078 yet I paid long time ago

And I am dealing with illiterate people

Ackermans Premio Tab 7

I bought a phone at Akermans Ebony Mall on the 11th July 2023, and it has a problem of switching off even when it is fully charged. Yesterday on the 16 July 2023 I went to the store to report the matter and they told me that it's needs to update the software. I checked so I can update it and the software was up to date obviously the cashier was lying. Today it started to switch it off again.

Please attend to this matter as I want my refund since your phone has faulty.

Ackermans Pricing at the Darras centre branch

I went to Ackermans Darras center on the 30th of June 2023 to check for a size L on a jacket. I had been to the Eastgate and Parkmeadow Ackermans just before that & unfortunately they did not have a large. I was happy to find it at Darras center but their price was different to the other stores(it was more expensive). I asked how possible it is for their price to be different from the 2 other stores and the website and they gave me an explanation that did not make any sense. It seems they are an Ackermans in a country of its own because their standards and prices do not meet those of the Ackermans franchise.I asked them to call the other branches and double check the information I was given but the website was also in agreement with what I had said and no one tried to resolve this matter which speaks to bad customer service. They instead chose to argue with me so I walked out of the store.

Desired outcome: I need an Audit doe on them to check why they operate different to the other Ackermans in terms on pricing.

Ackermans Poor customer service

It was the 29th of June 2023 at 11: 35 when I went to ackerman's to pay for my mom's lay by and the I asked the to cashier to put R150 but she put R200 instead of R150, and then she started fighting me and when I asked for a manager some ackerman's lady told me where to get off and started to call me names with the guy that I also requested help from him.

Ackermans Customer services and theft

on the 13 April 2023 i went to your store at holding my wallets and when i got to the tills it seems i put my wallet and it went missing. i then noticed that its missing and requested the the footage be check to confirm where my wallet went and the manager refused. I was told that i went to the store without my wallet and that i need to go to the center and check the footage of when i came in the store which i did and it confirmed that i went to the store with the wallet. I then went back and they still refused to view the footage and i was rather told to open a case at the police. the next day i got a call from the manager advising that they found my wallet however there is no money but all the cards are there, i asked how they know all the cards are and and there was no reply. i strongly feel that the manager is protecting the staff because we could have view the footage to see who took my wallet.

Desired outcome: i want this matter to be investigated as i lost money and also to ensure that this was not done by staff to protect us from theft again.

Ackermans bata school shoes

i purchased these shoes on the above date,the shoe 'leather' is peeling and the shoe is opening i went to the store today and they told me they can not exchange or refund as the shoes are old,whereas they were purchased in january and on the actual shoe tag it states 6 month guarantee on fair wear and tear.the manager was very arrogant and rude and telling m to read the slip,which is fair but the tag clearly states 6 month guarantee either they cant read or have no product knowledge of their stock,this is the small size that needs changing the bigger size is also starting to tear on the stitching as well as the 'leather'is peeling

Ackermans Bought odd shoes

I bought a pair of kids sneakers from ackermans in Kolonade on the 28th. When I got home I found out that the sizes are not the same it was a size 8 and 11. I went to do an exchange at Mams mall on the 6th of June and I was told that they won't be able to assist because it will create a stockloss for them. The cashier told me to go back to Kolonade where I bought the sneakers from. How could that be my fault? Aren't the cashiers suppose to make sure that the customers buy the correct sizes? Should I spend my money to go to kolonade to do an exchange? I was very disappointed with the service I have received from Ackermans Mams Mall. Please give me a solution because I'm am not going to Ackermans group anymore.

Ackermans Prices

On the 2nd of June at 10:19 at Ackerman Addo square I saw a boot on sale of R179. I wanted to buy 4 of different boots for R179 each but when I get to the till point the price changed to R249 and I complaint because the price on the tag is R179 so a ladt called Pearl said she can give me the boot for R179 since the it was written on the tag,offline she said she can only sell 1 boot for R179 nand I was very disappointed because they should have removed the prices on the tag. I ended up not buying anything because I was so disappointed.

Ackermans Customer care

Just lost my phone in Ackermans Rosebank the manager did not even try assisting as I noticed just when I was about to pay. I asked him to check the cameras, and he said we don't have cameras. Imdisgusted by that manager's conduct towards me and how he did not care about my loss that happened on their premises. Take care of your belongings when you at Ackermans Rosebank that just care about the money you about to spend in their store not you as a customer.

Ackermans Defective phone

My name is Masingati Chilumba. I am resident in Muizenberg, Cape Town. In about the 3rd or 4th week of March 2023 I bought a phone from the Blue Route Mall's branch of Ackermans. It was a Premio(Adapt)X70.

It had issues and I returned it on the 7th day after purchase. The store has my purchase slip which is why I dont know exact dates.

They advised me they had to send it in for repairs and to expect 21 days. I needed the phone and requested a refund or an upgrade but they refused.

I went back to collect the phone and they gave me a new one (which they could have done immediately). I did not want the same brand but they refused to change it. This took place on 25 April 2023.

Within 3 days I had to return it again.

I demanded my money back which under the circumstances is my right and I NEED to have a phone.

They once again refused.

The phone was sent in for 30-40 days for repairs! This is just not acceptable.

I made it clear that I did not want the same brand again.

Today, 27 May I returned to the store and they once again tried to give me the same brand but a new one.

I do not want the same brand. I offered cash to upgrade and I was advised that an upgrade is not possible. They have also refused to refund me my money.

I refused to take the offered replacement phone because it is the same brand and model as the previous two. I have left the phone there and advised that I will return on Monday 29 May for a refund.

This is shockingly bad customer service, it has been 3 months that the store has had my money and I have no phone.

As a consumer I have rights and will invoke my rights by whatever means necessary. Having listened to Wendy Knowlers customer rights programme on Cape Talk I am confident that it is my right to receive a refund under these circumstances.

I am not a wealthy person and travelling backwards and forwards is costing me money, not to mention the stress of having no phone.

Ackermans Paid up letter

I requested a paid up letter on my account but over six month nothing has come. I had an account with ackermans for a very long time. 2019 i went under debt review and the account was also included. 2020 i decided to pay my own account and settle them. I settle this account in 2021 and since then i have been requesting a paid up letter. I call almost every week but the consultant always say they emailing it but still nothing

Ackermans I want it back

I returned the clothes to the store 13/5/2023, but pyjama I bought 89,99 was not added in the bag. I went to the store 20/5/2023 to claim it, manger said he will check on the footage after we saw the item on the footage he said I got a discount of R50 from the one of the items I bought and the jacket that I also it was back to normal price from 289.99 to 320,00 so if he can add the discount I got and the increased price for the jacket make that will make the price of that pyjama. I said this doesn't make sense to me and I repeated many times and he got angry and said I am waisting his time. I returned the pyjama it was not a mistake to leave it on the counter.

Ackermans Can someone pls respond to my application

Hi.
I applied for an account online, was provisionally approved and was asked to send him bank statements and ID copies. I do so twice now at two stores. Where they scanned me documents and sent it to head office. Been a full week. No response. Did it again this morning at the pavilion branch. Still no response. I find the bad customer service. Disappointing.

Ackermans Incorrect pricing misleading customers

I visited the paulpietersburg branch and saw that they had items marked down on a railing. When I get to the till to pay the cashier tells me that it is R49.99 and not the price of R25 of which I had seen. He calls for an over ride and after 5 minutes a lady comes of which i presume is a manager , tells me that she cannot give me the item at R25 because the system says R49.99. She was very rude and did not have any sympathy or apologize.
