A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts bankrupt ac moore stores not fulfilling framing orders placed before announcement

I ordered a very expensive framing of a large 2ftx3ft print on 22 Nov2019. The 'promise' was delivery in 2-3 weeks. AC Moore declared bankruptcy in the interim, but the company claimed they would fulfill all orders; in fact, they continued to take more framing orders until last week! I checked regularly as to the status of my order. In late-Dec I was told that the frame I selected was now out of stock and would not be in until Jan 9. No one informed me of this further delay until I called back. Today I called (Jan 20) and was informed the frame had never come back into stock...another wasted 3 weeks.

It has now been 9 weeks since placing my order. The CEO of AC Moore, Anthony Piperno, has been quoted saying this: "For over 30 years, our stores have been servicing the creative community with a vast selection of art and craft materials, with one common focus, the customer. Unfortunately, given the headwinds facing many retailers in today's environment, it made it very difficult for us to operate and compete on a National level. During this process, we will continue to provide great customer experience, while still delivering quality and value on your favorite products."

Shame on you, Mr Piperno! Your poor employees have been trying to fulfill framing orders, but apparently there is little communication from your framing company, no coordination to help customers like me who have MORE than patiently waited for service, and no monetary recourse your employees can give for the poor service. I do not blame the staff at the store; they are trying hard to do what's right by the customers, but your company is not supporting them.

I can assure you I will never use a converted ACMoore/Michaels store again, nor any store in your Nicole Craft parent company's control. You have lost one loyal customer, and I am sure thousands more as word spreads at how poorly you and your company handled the bankruptcy/store closings.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts employees threatening and swearing at a customer

A young women employee was rude and disrespectful to myself and my kids. She swore at me refused to tell me her name and hid her name tag. She then threatened to kick my butt and told me she'd meet me outside in 5mins. I wouldve called the police but I had no name and did not want to do that infront of my kids. I am highly dissatisfied with how I was treated and the way she swore in front of and inabout my children. I tried to talk to the manager on duty and she refused to help ostop her employee or give me any information to file a complaint.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts general store complaint

I went into the AC Moore store in Watchung, NJ on Saturday, Sept. 7 and picked up a few cute Fall décor items. Walked up to the customer service desk to ask the woman for a price check. At that time I looked to my left and saw about 10 people standing on one line, waiting for one checkout register. A woman on that line yelled out to me "there's only one line, you must get in the back of the line" obviously frustrated, and thinking I was cutting the line which I was not. So, after I got the price checked, I went to the back of the line and the customer service person opened another register. It was obvious at that point that there were two employees (at most) in the store on a busy Saturday. So, trying to be patient, I then notice that BOTH registers had some sort of checkout difficulty. Both people checking out had issues. I waited and waited and after about 10 minutes, I left the cart and walked out. Hey AC Moore, MICHAEL'S is way better, easier to deal with. So is Hobby Lobby. Get with the program and figure out what your register glitches are and also please hire more people.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts making a return

On Saturday, July 13th, 2019 I went to the A.C. Moore store in Warminster, PA t o make a $6.00 return (with the receipt). When I was next in line, the checkout girl asked for if I was a Rewards member.
As I had tried to use my rewards information when making the purchase, but I was told it could not be found, I told the girl I did not use it for making the purchase. She then went on to say, " Well, we will need information from you" and proceeded to try to type in the information with fingernails so long that she continually made typing errors.
When finished she rudely stated, "See, that was all we needed, I don't see why you were making such a big deal out of it." Really ? This representative of A.C. Moore was rude and everyone in the line behind me heard her. As I left I could hear her discussing the situation with other people in line. I am completly done with your store. I will not return and I will pass the poor service infomration on to people I know.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts staff were uneducated on service animal laws in winston salem nc

I have gone to the AC Moore, located at 3208 Silas creek parkway, for quite some time. I have a disability which requires me to have a service animal and some of her tasks require her to be off leash. A service animal is legally allowed to be off leash if the leash interferes with a task (per ADA Law) and in this case local leash laws do not apply to the animal (per ADA Law). On this particular day I was shopping and she needed to perform one of her tasks which require her to be off leash so I removed the leash that she had been wearing. She was perfectly behaved and tasked beautiful. This particular task requires her to circle me while I walk which helps create space from people and alleviate paranoia that I experience due to one of my disabilities. When she circles she is no more than 4-6 inches away from my body and never moves further than that. She was not walking up to people, she was not being disruptive, and she was not out of control. As I'm walking towards checkout a woman (presumably a manager) said "I'm sorry but your dog needs to be on a leash" I replied "she's a service animal" to which she stated "I understand but the dog still needs to be on a leash" I explained to her the laws and she left me alone. A minute or two later she comes back stating the same thing and I responded the same way I had previously responded. Later she left again and as I was checking out the cashier begins to say the same thing. She tried to argue with me about leash laws. To which I tried to explain that in this case since she is a service animal and tasking (a task which the leash interferes with) leash laws do not apply. She then tried to belittle me and continued repeating the same phrase in a condescending tone. I did not like the way I was treated by this facility, it was utter discrimination and sheer intolerance. They were rude and discriminatory. I plan on filing a complaint with the DOJ if this issue is not resolved and staff are not properly educated.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts 21” burlap fabric deco mesh

UPC [protected] I am writing to tell you you have now lost a long time customer. I have been buying this mesh for many years from A.C. Moore, but I just found out today on my daily trip to A.C. Moore that this item is now considered "blue label" therefore I can NOT use any coupons on it going forward. It has been priced at 14.99. Now it's priced at 17.99, but a blue label for $10. That's ridiculous! I will no longer shop here on a daily basis as I can get it cheaper at hobby lobby for 50% off. Very disappointed in A.C. Moore.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts returning an online purchase

I went to the store and the manager wasn't sure how to return something that was ordered online so she went in the back for about 15 minutes came back and said she couldn't return it because the internet was down or the service was down of how she had to return it so she couldn't do it at this time I made a special trip over there because I didn't think there was much to do to return an item and I was very upset that I couldn't return the item I need my money back immediately now I have to go over again this time I will call and see if it is okay but I think it's a bunch of crap cuz you can't take something over and return it right there you have to do it online and it's down. Not a happy camper

Walked inn today at AC Moore store in 7330 Guilford Dr Frederick Md 21704 today about 1:45 pm, I usually drive but today it was a nice weather and me and my 3 yr old daughter decided to make a floral arrangement for our porch door, so we head out to AC moore since we were walking I have a backpack on and a bag because we made a stop prior to AC's at the Ross store with is located in the same shopping center, so we walked in very excited to make a purchase for artificial flowers and twigs, I stopped at the First register located next to the entrance, and there was this employee named Heater, she is slim w long pony tail, and I politely asked her if I could leave my backpack and bag from Ross store at the service desk, she doubted about her response saying "Mmm, yeah, I think so" but then quickly responded "Well you can take the bags with you inside of the store, but when you finished check out or leave I have to go tru them to make sure nothing else was added" the other customer infront of her was shocked to hear that as well as myself

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts ladies restroom

Our erie, pennsylvania ac moore needs some major improvement and modernization in particular the ladies restroom, although, the rest of the store could use some eye-appeal, too! For easier reading, I will number the problems: 1) the odor is always atrocious 2) the toilet paper holder in the first stall is ripped off the wall 3) the toilet paper is out during most of the times I visit the restroom or worse yet, there's a big roll of tp left on top of the toilet paper holders in those stalls that still have the holders intact. Who wants to handle this big, awkward roll, when the last person's hands were on it? 4) the toilets are old. Probably the original ones from when the mall was built back in 1975. They don't flush well, and the proof is what the ladies leave behind in the bowl (I know... Tmi!). 5) come on corporate (that is if you even read any of the complaints on this complain board! Put some $ into this popular room. Who knows, it may even bring in some unexpected, "business!"

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts framing

I paid quite a lot to have 2 pictures framed, one came back great the second one came back chipped so I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for another frame and then when I pick it up this evening I look at it when I unwrap it at home and it's crooked. Now I have to go back to the store and wait another few weeks for this to be fixed. I don't know if they frame it in the store or ship it out but that's ridiculous both pictures were
Of the exact same thing how is
One straight but not the other. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service of this and the product. Michaels would have handled this a lot better.

I received a temporary card when the store in Parma, Ohio opened.

I had a very negative experience at the framing department at A.C.Moore in Dedham today. The employee was a tall blonde woman with glasses, she is a bit on the heavy side. When I arrived with my 2 kids, one is not even 2, and the other is age 7, she was serving another customer, so I waited patiently for like 20 minutes, she didn't even bother to ask me if I needed help. I had to manage 2 kids and she could have cared less about that. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked if I could just pick up my order, she looked obviously annoyed and called another employee on the phone for help, she didn't bother to say anything like, "I am sorry for the wait, she is coming soon" etc. Just ignored me the whole time. She deserves to be fired.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts manager (rachel) - bad customer service

Me and my sister were shopping for christmas gifts for our family and there was a sign on a basket of large monogrammed bags saying $1.00 and so we asked a worker on the floor if that price was correct, she checked and said was not sure but because it was not clear, please take the sign to the register and tell them this sign was on these bags and they would honor the price if it was our mistake.
Once going through the check out line the cashier called to manager over for a price adjustment. And the manager was very rude, saying these bags are $24.00 and I will not do an adjustment.
So we declined the sale. Initially as we got in line the manager approached us asking if she could help us, with no explanation... Which felt strange ("racial profiling") towards us.
I have been a customer for years and do a lot of business with a.C. Moore because of my church. So I spend a lot of money at your store.
I'm very disappointed and feel very disrespected by the way my sister and I were treated by this manager.
I'm considering posting this for the public to see, because no one deserves to be talked to or treated in this manner.
And if this is the way she treats customers, who knows how she treats her employees.
And if she was not able to do an adjustment that is fine, it's just the way she disrespectfully treated us. Makes me feel if we were caucasian this would not have happen.

a.c.moore.com is the worst. I ordered from them last week a present for my granddaughter and they told me it was backordered and they will get back to me. Since then I left several messages on their help number and also emailed them several times still no response. I would advise everyone do not order from them they do not have courtesy to get back to you but they take the money right away worth no problem

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts coupons

I like your store, love the wide selection in every department! What I find frustrating is your " Coupon Policy". I was shopping today & had 3 coupons from Joann Fabrics, 2 from the app., which the cashier scrolled through & was able to verify, & one from the email texts they send me.
I used the 60% off coupon & right next to it was a 30% off coupon. Totally different sku numbers, both valid. The cashier refused to use the second coupon saying " No, store policy is one coupon per person per day ". I put back items I had planned on buying with coupons & left. JoAnne Fabric was more than happy to use my coupons!
Joann Fabric allows me to use as many coupons as I have providing they are not duplicated. As I told cashier, if your refusing to take my coupons then I'll shop at Jo Ann or another craft store that accepts my coupons!
Both AC Moore & your cashiers should be happy to have my business & my MONEY! Because I'll be honest with you, if your not accepting my coupons, then I'll shop somewhere that does. You have many competitors, all are happy to take my $!
Thank You for listening to my opinion. I hope you make changes to your "coupon policy" & make me want to shop at your store again.

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts coupon on app

I had a coupon from the app that showed expiration date of 11/24/2018, but at the register it wasn't honored. The cashier had a paper coupon that showed it expired at noon on 11/24/2018, however the one from the app didn't, but they still wouldn't honor it. We spoke to the manager even and he said he didn't know where the one we had came from even though I showed him that it was in the A.C. Moore app! It had the restrictions and no where did it say it expired at noon on 11/24/2018( today's date and the date I tried to use the coupon). We bought regular priced items and it was supposed to be 30%off entire regular priced order

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts military discount

I was in the Moorestown NJ store today with my husband.

I asked if I can get a military discount. The cashier stated it has to be yours. I said my father was in War World II and my late husband was in Vietnam War. I am entitled to my late husband benefit. I am my father's daughter and I am entitled to benefits.

Lowes opened a discount for me yesterday that I get a 10 % under my father. All I used was his name and discharge date.

I feel my dad and late husband fault for you to have your life today and they were disrespected today as well as I was. My dad is 99 years old and my military husband passed.
They both are veterans. They need to be respected.

Your rule needs to be changed regarding military discounts. ACMoore disrespected us BIG TIME.

Please advise.

I was in your Plainedge store this afternoon. I was purchasing a few items. I told the cashier, Karla No.2063486, that I have two coupons and asked if I could make two separate transactions. She told me that she could not that store policy was only one coupon per customer. I had told her that I was surprised because I know that Michaeal's( your competitor store) will do that. Her response was "then go to Michael's". I was so taken back by her response I had no words. I hesitantly made my purchase and left the store in disbelief. I'm not upset that I wasn't able to make the two transaction I was flabbergasted by the cashiers response.
I frequent your store often not only for personal items but also for items I purchase for my Girl Scout troop. I am reluctant to shop at your store if this is the level of customer service that is to be expected.

Store 00126 Tran: 285841 date 3/6/18. Assoc. 2075398
I purchased many items today but the cashier only gave me one of two bags. Not know this I went home used some fliers for arrangement and discovered three missing items. I called the store manager Dave told me he couldn't help me and u was to bring my slip in to the store. I replied that he could. Would he go to Amanda's register and see if it was still there. It was. Put my name on it and told me where to find it. Could you please have your people be more couteous and helpful instead of directive. There was no apology. The cashier needs to be careful about making sure customers have all the packages. I have a bad knee and hand and coming out to get my things was totally unnecessary. Thank you. Barbara Marozzi

A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts clerk named christine at 1725 nw st. lucie west blvd, port st lucie fl 34986

There is a clerk/somewhat manager named christine who has the absolute worst customer service skills. Our store has branded her the worst out of all the craft stores including michaels, joann's, hobby lobby, old time, you name it. When a bunch of us crafters come in, others will ask "was the hag christine in"? She's never happy, she's always mad, she rarely smiles. If u ask her a question it irritates her everytime! She lectures u like a small child. She's such a disservice to acmoore. It's become a joke w all off us, that we all now just use our coupons from our acmoore app at other stores that accept them just to avoid christine. When she quits, leaves or transfers, we'll come back. I'm so upset that I even have to take time out of my day to point out the obvious. Send in mystery shoppers. You will see. She is ur worst customer service link ever. We would not tolerate her in our chains for one day.
