AAMCO Transmissions Transmission warranty

I put in a new transmission with AAMCO in Las Vegas Valley view than relocated to South Lake Tahoe for work I than had my transmission go out up here so at the time I was close to being evacuated for the fire by the police and military so I new I could be covered being inside of 3 year warranty but at the time the paperwork was in a storage in Las Vegas so I went down to Carson City, Nevada and told gentleman that I not sure if covered or not but can't find paperwork but need truck running ASAP cause fire was coming and I needed vehicle to pack and leave so I just decided to pay $4100.00 to make sure had truck thinking if I found paperwork and under warranty would just be reimbursed now I only paid $2500.00 for the Transmission in Las Vegas.. so at this point I have tried for resolution I don't expect to get the $4100.00 I paid in Carson City but do expect $2500.00 to come from finding it was covered but at this time nobody wants to pay anything for being under warranty 3 years saying when I could not find paperwork and paying than it not covered cause could not find at the time.. I'm a fair person and customer feel like I'm being taken advantage of being misplaced cause of fire and company does not want to help rectify so I'm going to BBB and Yelp if I can't get this resolved!

Desired outcome: $2500.00 for bad Transmission under Warranty

After speaking by phone to the "manager" Erick of the 4701 S. Halsted, Chicago IL. 60609, location on Aug, 11 2021, I was directed to bring in the vehicle on Thursday Aug.12, 2021 at 8:00 am. I did, he didn't arrive till nearly 8:21, and walked right past me, no acknowledgement whatsoever. After which he acts as though I just wandered in from the street without an appointment. It is now 8 days later and no one answers my phone calls from said aamco store, what is going on at 4701 S. Halsted Street, Chicago, IL. [protected]? Rude and non professional at that location... How can I now trust that my car is been honestly serviced and me not being robbed by these guys?

AAMCO Transmissions Transmission not been repaired, problem has not been resolved.

On 7/26/2021 my wife took our daughter's car to AAMCO service center located on 133 South Euclid Street in Fullerton, CA 92832. Kevin, the AAMCO representative, stated that he would call back once they were finished diagnosing the problem . We had written the following, "Car hesitating when pressing gas. Check engine lignt will turn on shortly after driving and the car will hesitate further. Even when putting gas it will not accelerate. When in this state and parked, the car cannot go in reverse even while putting gas."
Kevin the AAMCO representative called back the same day in the afternoon stating they found the pro lem and stated that the repair would cost around $3500.00. We asked him if he knew that the repairs would be $3500.00 or around this cost and he restated they would be $3500.00.
On 8/3/2021 Kevin called around 04:00PM notifying us that the car was ready to be picked up, we picked the car around 04:30PM, but within three blocks of driving from AAMCO the car began hesitating and, the previous problems start reapearing. We turn around and slowly bring drive the car back and leave the car with Kevin again, he received the keys and state they will check the car next day first thing in the morning.
On 8/11/2021 we called AAMCO to hear from them, Kevin told us that thety will call us when know what was the problem again, he answered the phone call and state, "another part has been failed and they had to order this part, but, they were waiting for this part from the dealer to arrive." On 8/13/2021 we received a phone call but, not from Kevin but Michael from this AAMCO shop, he letting us know that the car was ready to be picked up. We asked Michael what the problem was, and he stated that another actuator on the transmission failed and they have to replace it, and, they had one from another transmission that they were able to use it and it will not be no charge for it. We drove the car to the house and parked, this was on Friday evening. On Saturday 8/14/2021, we decided to drive the car to the market to continue testing if the car was ready for real, but, after 20-30 minutes the car start hesitating and the check engine light come on again, and, the car would not advance when pressing the gas, and worse of all will not reverse again. We brought the car back to AAMCO on Monday 8/16/2021 and Kevin asked my wife to leave the car running until the car start acting with the problem, my wife decided to drive the car aound and, not much after mayve 10 to 15 minutes the car start hesitating, my wife tood the car back and Kevin came out to check and feel the problem for himself, trying to reverse the car but, he was not able to do so, he called a mechanic from there and pushed the car back, he grab the keys and told my wife that he will call when the car is ready.
On 8/18/2021 Kevin called my wife and told her we needed to pick up the car because the problem was the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and that they will not be covering this because it was electronic.
We picked up the car from AAMCO and try to understand why they will not repair the car when they were the one who told us what will be the cost of correcting our complains. Kevin did not show any concern about the matter, and he just state "Have a nice rest of the day", turn his back and walk away, but, before that, he state that, "Your only choice is to taking to the dealer for a recall, or if you want we can take care of it, but, this will cost you $1200.00 for the part and $500.00 for labor." The point is, the car is doing exactly the same symtoms or problems that had before, even after they claimed been fixed.
Post: we contact the dealer and asked if there were any ongoing recall on this vehicle for transmission proble, and, they confirm it is no recalls for this vehicle involving the transmission.

Desired outcome: To AAMCO Transmission service center reimburse what they charge for something they were not able to fixed.

AAMCO Transmissions Tansmission Service

AAmco/9177B Knox Bridge Hwy, Canton, GA 30114, United States
Phone: +[protected]) - issue with 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport.

Below is the documented order of events:

•July 27, 2021 - drop off Jeep. AAmco tech ran transmission diagnostic tests, and identified problems - seals leaking only. Transmission reseal service.

•July 30, 2021, @ 5:30 pm pick up Jeep after transmission gaskets were replaced. Had an issue with the transmission slipping when leaving the parking lot. Also, transmission is not shifting smoothly.

Paid $1041.88 for repairs. Invoice # 112446

•August 2, 2021, spoke to Martin about having issues when the Jeep has been sitting overnight or engine cooled. The transmission clutch is slipping and not shifting smoothly.

•August 4, 2021, still having issues with Jeep setting overnight or when the engine cooled. The transmission clutch is slipping and not shifting smoothly. Went back to AAmco and the tech adjusted the TV cable to get the transmission to shift smoothly.

•August 5, 2021, dropped off Jeep at 11:15 AM and was told they would run diagnostic tests and identify the problem then call me back with a solution to fix the issue. The transmission still slipping when the engine is cooled.

•August 6, 2021, have not heard back from Mike as of 3:00 pm. I called at 3:00 pm and was told Mike would call me back. I called again at 3:30 pm and 4:31 pm and was told the same thing - that Mike would call me back. At 4:32 Mike called me (from cell phone number [protected]) and told me he would call me back in 10 minutes and give me the solution to fix this issue but, he was heading to the airport right now. He did not call me.

•August 7, 2021, Mike didn't call me back yesterday and I don't have my Jeep for the weekend.

• August 9, 2021, I have not heard from Mike as of 1:45 pm. I called AAmco at 1:45 pm and spoke to Martin about the status of my Jeep and what is the diagnosis to fix it. I asked to talk to Mike and Mr. VinBrink (Owner) and neither were in the office today and no one can decide what to do until Mike comes back to the office on Tuesday.

• 1:57 pm Martin called me back with their mechanic to discuss what they think the issue is but they had to talk to Mike to decide what to do tomorrow.

• August 10, 2021, @ 10:13 am I called AAmco to talk to Mike - was told he was not available. I called AAmco at 3:30 pm and spoke to Mike. He said the transmission needs to be rebuilt and would call me when complete.
I told Mike that because the problems were misdiagnosed, that he should reverse the charge for the first invoice. He said the charge had already been processed and it could not be credited back. I thought that was strange because credit card charges can be reversed/credits issued.

All phone calls can be verified from my phone log.

Finally, after 22 days of dealing with AAmco, the Jeep is ready to be picked up @ 2:45 Pm.

Paid $2170.91 Invoice # 112478

The Jeep is finally running normally.

I'm requesting that the first payment of $1041.88 be refunded to my credit card because of the misdiagnosis and the fact that the Jeep was not tested before being released to me. The issue that brought me to AAmco was not resolved at this time.

I know this shop is shorthanded but that should not cost me.

Thanks, Carl Bruffy

AAMCO Transmissions Car storage bill of 420.00

I brought my car into AAMCO on Tuesday to have the transmission repaired. The car was parked there for a week and each time I called they kept telling me that the inspector did not arrive. I have maintenance insurance with Protect My Car. A friend of mine called me and told me that she had a friend that owned a transmission garage and he is willing to fix my car for $3, 600 as opposed to $5400. This was a huge difference in price. I called them to tell them that I was removing my car. When I went to pick up my car, I was informed that it would cost me $70.00 per day. There is a sign in the office that says $70.00 for storage per day, but this sign is off to the far left of the Office instead of up front where it should be viewed by all costumers. I feel should be stated when the person is bringing their car in, and the 2 men at the front desk agreed. The total bill came to $658.00 when they really did nothing. I don't object to paying for the diagnostic, but I ended up paying $420.00 in storage just to have my car sit there in the grass in outside parking lot. Since I am unemployed at this time because of Covid, I am wondering if you can help. Thanking you in advance, Marylou Wing, phone [protected]

Desired outcome: refund at least for the 70 per day parking 420.00

AAMCO Transmissions Not completing the job, honoring warranty

I took my 1996 Chevy suburban in and was told my transmission was going out. It was so I went through with it, had to use a credit card he then asked for another and kept adding new issues. They kept my vehicle for 3 weeks, causing me to Uber everyday. A couple weeks after I received my vehicle the check engine light came back on. Took it in and they said it was fine, cleared the dark light. And tried to sell me on rear end parts, brakes and a few other parts. Light is back on and I've been through 2 jugs of coolant already. Why won't they honor my warranty?

Desired outcome: Fix my truck, I spent over $5,000 with them

AAMCO Transmissions Rebuilding a transmission on a vehicle that required more work than the car worthas worth

On June 2nd I purchased a 2000 Lincoln Continental from a private car dealer in Stuart, Fl. On June 4th I was having problems with the transmission and brought the car to AAMCO 3821 S. US 1 To have the car evaluated. I was told I needed the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I also asked that the car be examined for other problems. I was told the car's transmission was worth rebuilding and agreed to it. After receiving the car back 2 weeks later on June 11 I noticed the from end shimmying. I brought the car for a front end alignment to Midas and was told it needed tie rods and tires, on June 15th. I brought the car to St Lucie battery and Tire on June 16th. Had them inspect the car. They informed me that the entire front end, tie rods, idle arm, ball joints, rear suspension, rear break rusted open, fuel filter rusted, and all four tires rear 2008, front 2010 were all dry rotted. My complaint here is that I asked for the service I received from AAMCO be examined BEFORE I spent $2945.34 on a rebuilt. Didn't your mechanic see the front end when they were pulling the transmission? Why would they replace the parts if they saw how rusted the car was in the first place? Had I known I would've paid for their services and had the vehicle towed back to the original dealership instead. I currently have a car with a rebuilt transmission that is unsafe to drive.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund on the money paid($2,945.34) or an offer to rebuild the broken parts on this car.

AAMCO Transmissions Clutch slave cylinder repair

Brought my Jeep into AAMCO in Antioch CA and they didn't bleed it correctly, I called saying my concern about it simply not going into gear without having to put the clutch to the floor with the tip of my toe, it was obvious at this point, I talked to the lady she was rude, right away saying they bled it 5 times, so it failed in 5 months they did the same repair again, this slave lasted 7 weeks, same problem not bled enough and poor quality parts they use, they refuse to stand by their warranty, and AAMCOS warranty is the only reason I went there, so 967 dollars for nothing, it's family owned techs aren't worth [censored], stay away from their Antioch store, rip offs

Desired outcome: Honor aamcos warranty

AAMCO Transmissions Car inspection

To whom it may concern if anyone:
So today May 3rd 2021 at about 2:40 pm I went to a Aamco on 6508 Escondido Drive in El Paso, Texas 79912.
I have past by it many times and always see it with very little business and now I know why. You see I would like to support neighborhood new local businesses especially if I see them struggling. So this was my second experience going to location the first time was last year but they didn't have a car inspection guy so I went where I normally go. This time I went and the front office girl was very professional and kind but the mechanic named Lorenzo Martinez took about 30 minutes before he even looked at the car then another 30 minutes inspecting the car and to my surprise failed my car and was charged $18.50. Then I took my car about two miles away where I normally get my inspection done and it took 15 minutes and guess what I vehicle passed as it always does. The Aamco shop is very near to my house and would have considered taking on a regular basis and recommend to many friends, coworkers and acquaintances. But after my experience today I will tell all and everyone I know to never give this store any business.
Thank you for you time if anyone read this,
Roberto Gonzalez

Desired outcome: Very disappointed

AAMCO Transmissions Transmission replacement/warranty

Had to have ransmission replaced. Aamco in Rolla Missouri did the work. 36 month warranty was included. I drove back to Wisconsin, where I live. After about 1500 miles, the new transmission failed. I called Rolla AAMCO, and after 3 days they told me I had to get my car towed to an AAMCO in Brookfield, WI, which is about 75 miles. 400+ dollars for tow. Now the Aamco at Brookfield has had my car for nearly a week, and is telling me they are waiting for either the Rolla Aamco, or the company that made the transmission to authorize the repair or replacement. After spending 5, 500 dollars to date, I remain without a car, and having no clear answers as to when or how it will be fixed under their warranty. All I know for sure is that I will never recommend AAMCO Transmissions to anyone in need of a transmission repair.

AAMCO Transmissions My car stolen and totaled while left unsecured at business

Do business with these AAMCO people 2228 N Washington Blvd., Sarasota, FL. at the at your own risk. I took my car in for service on october 27, 2020. They finished the service and parked it unlocked in their front lot. A drugged woman stole my unlocked car from their business in broad daylight, drove away and totaled it by losing control and rolling it over onto another vehicle. The management there first suggested I knew the woman (I don't) and then told me that because I was not there when the theft took place, I couldn't really say they left the car unlocked.

To add insult to injury, the owner presented me with a bill for the work they said they performed on the vehicle they allowed to be stolen.

Basically, make your own judgment after reading this. I know i'd never use or recommend the place because of the negligence. I can also provide police incident report numbers to validate this story.

Replacing the vehicle cost $20,000 above insurance. It would have lasted a long time if not stolen and wrecked due to negligence.

AAMCO Transmissions My husband took his car in two weeks ago and told them that he has car shield and the mechanic told him no problem I work with them all of the.

When the mechanic told my husband not to worry, that should of been a red flag. My husband called car shield and explained to them that he dropped off the car at aamco and they told him that they have to send someone to approve the claim. Three days later aamco mechanic told my husband that the car was done and all of the parts that were changed were there so when the inspector from car shield showed up the first time the mechanic wasn't there. So a couple of days later the inspector showed up again and put in his report that the mechanic had fixed the car without an approval. The mechanic and his supervisor have been telling my husband to apply for their card and when car shield pays them they will reimburse my husband. Every day my husband has been on the phone with car shield and they told him that aamco said that my husband told them that he gave aamco permission to do the work. It's just not right or fair that aamco gets away with being deceitful and manipulating thiefs.

AAMCO Transmissions new torque converter (they said my converter clutches were burned, up) new front pump and a master rebuild on a ford c6 transmission

I have written you three times now to no avail. The first time someone did respond and was supposed to immediately call me back and never did. She mentioned giving this AAMCO one more chance to fix this transmission properly. I did so and now it shifts SO HARD it is chirping the tires in stop and go rush hour traffic normal creeping driving. Also when I got it back this time, (it was manually shifting perfectly after I readjusted the shifter before I dropped it off), it wouldn't even go into reverse to leave the parking lot without a lot of shifting it into reverse many many times. Now I am doubting the work performed was needed! This transmission ran perfect for 5 years. That's when i purchased it from Transmissions Depot in New Port Richey. It had only stopped moving twice and was making NO noises associated with a bad or needing rebuild transmission, after 10-20 seconds of pause it would go normally again those two times within five minutes of each other! I will be taking it to a REAL transmission shop to see what is going on and am considering the media as AAMCO taking advantage of people. Ive been on the phone with them at least 30 times now and had it back to their shop 5-6 times. They are not very professional as the AAMMCO name in transmission repairs goes. Please contact me at [phone number removed]. my name is [name removed] and this WAS charged to a credit card and I feel I did not get the service I paid for. I am fearing to drive this vehicle as the shift is so hard that i'm thinking its causing damage to this regular Ford C6 transmission. Also I was at the AAMCO website when this complaint section popped up. Is this AAMCO TRANSMISSIONS?

AAMCO Transmissions aamco transmission master rebuild service including a brand new forward pump and torque converter (! 00% rebuild)

This all started October 16, 2019. Took it in for checkup because it had stopped moving forward at a red light, then again at my road to turn into my neighborhood when I had to stop to turn across a divided highway. When I towed it in with my neighbor at first it wouldn't go into Drive gear at their shop, (AAMCO). It went into reverse no problem then into drive no problem or noises. A few days later they advised master rebuild including a forward pump and a torque converter. When I first got it back wouldn't shift properly in drive or manually. Did they even test drive it? They blamed everything on from my Hurst floor shifter, my carburetor, user error, and old truck to driving it wrong.? I've had this truck since 1988 and I would think I know how it ran all those years. no problems or breakdowns ever. First time I left it there was October 21, 2019 when they said total rebuild. Keep in mind not one problem ever till the last 1 mile I drove it home that day Oct. 15th. I have talked to them at least 35 times on the phone and had it into their shop at least 5 times since they repaired it. The last time I had it back to them was yesterday January 13, 2020 as per your corporate request to give them one more attempt at getting it right. It was shifting first gear to second gear to neutral then into drive with the gear selector set in drive automatic and it was in drive gear before 20-25 MPHThis last time I took it in it has a brand new Holley carburetor transmission downshift rod return spring and Hurst shifter cable installed and was manually shifting perfectly. Now it has no reverse unless you play with the shifter a lot and is chirping the tires when and if you can even find reverse jerking the truck violently. My old vehicle idles at 600 RPM and shouldn't ever jerk going into a gear. Now it chirps the tires when it shifts driving it around town in traffic. I'm tired of attempting talk and repairs with them. All of my contacts are logged down as well as all correspondence since this all started as per BBB and the state licensing people. When I spoke to you last I was supposed to be called back in 30 minutes which never happened as they were going to contact the AAMCO Zephyrhills, Fl 33541. Now the complaint is in your hands till I figure out how to solve this dilemma as I can not afford to put it into another shop to see what the difficulty is. I am beginning to think all the years I have seen AAMCO transmissions on TV has been false or misleading.
