I am writing here hoping others will share their stories about this woman and her cattery. She now has over 20 and likely closer to 30 female breeding cats and she gives them to anyone who will take them. At least 3 have died of FIP including mine and somehow this woman keeps getting negative reviews taken down. Her cats and kittens carry herpes as well as giardia and as far as I know she has not stopped breeding any of the females who have had kittens with FIP die. We spent a lot of money on a kitten and then thousands on vet bills. I do not understand how this woman is still in business. She tried to blame things on her so called "partners" saying they were the breeders and she simply owns the cats but the video on her website clearly states she oversees all breeding. She's a liar and I'm my opinion a psychopath. Giving zero regard for her animals and for the families that fall in love with them. I hope others will join me here and finally share their stories about this woman. She's a snake and a crook and she's raising and selling sick cats. Now I see she even looked for a "assistant" to talk with her "partners" and families. If you have nothing to do with breeding then why do all the sales have to go through you according to your videos? She doesn't know the colors or anything else about the kittens and yet she'll promise you everything you want to hear and take your money. My advice is ask for her contract up front. She guarantees nothing basically as genetic things are not likely to show themselves in one year. That's what our vet has told us after reading the contract. He said she has managed to take zero responsibility for anything after the kitten goes home. Run away as fast as you can! Our hearts have been shattered by this woman. The scariest part is our reviews get taken down no matter where we post them. Hoping this one stays and encourages others to share their stories. And my vet also thinks she gave all her females out to avoid laws about overcrowding.

I feel badly for anyone having a negative experience from Lori Parsons. I cannot say the same. We purchased a male Ragdoll from one of her catteries about 2 years ago. He (Spencer) is everything that a Ragdoll is supposed to be; which means cool, laid back, limp when picked up, acts more like a puppy than a cat. He has been to our vet for regular check-ups and our vet (we've used for our four dogs for over ten years) has always said he is a very healthy cat. We love our Spencer and we had a great experience with Lori in purchasing him. Now, we are pet people and we take great care of our little guys (3 Yorkies, 1 standard schnauzer, 1 ragdoll...all boys). But, that doesn't mean they don't develop issues, get infections, have health issues crop up as they age (like we all do) and none of that means that the breeder did something wrong. Stuff happens!

OMG MINE IS DYING OF FIP TOO! LORI PARSONS SHOULD BE CHARGED with animal abuse. A complete and utter nightmare. Our cat of 9 months has FIP. When we picked both of our cats up from this cattery, there were 15-20 cats running around, and full liter boxes. AND, they NEVER had our cats vaccinated, until 13 weeks! They never even saw a vet! RUN FROM THIS PLACE! We almost turned around and left when we saw these conditions. but, we fell in love with our kittens. Now one is dying and we regret our decision to come to Lori. We didn't even pick them up at Lori's cattery, they came from another person/house hours away from her. We never even met Lori, she just took our money and didn't hear back from her. Now I've paid $1, 300 for a kitten that has cost us $5, 000 (yep, you read that right) and counting because of their horrid living arrangement for these vulnerable kittens. SHAME ON YOU! We love our kitten, and will go to the ENDS of the earth to save him. Lori Parsons should be shut down and lose her license. We're heartbroken and disgusted that these so called "cat lovers" treat their kittens like this.

Lori Parsons and Laura Haak, from A Ragdoll to Love in Highspire, PA, sold me three kittens from this cattery. When I showed up to pick the kittens up, one kitten in particular looked tiny and emaciated, unlike the photographs that were sent to me previously.

When I returned home that evening I made an appointment with my vet to examine all three kittens. At that appointment (within three days of picking up the kittens, ) all THREE were diagnosed with serious congenital diseases. One small kitten had a heart murmur which the veterinarian immediately diagnosed as a more serious form of the murmur/heart concern. A second kitten was considered a failure to thrive, weighing 2 lbs. at 3 months with the vet expressing deep concern about its future survival and life threatening liver disease. The final kitten, at 6 lbs. had a testicle which HAD NOT descended (at this age/weight, the testicle would not descend), and would require expensive, painful surgery which might create complications later on.

Despite trying to contact them IMMEDIATELY, along with the full medical reports from the cat hospital, no one returned my call for several days. As a family, we were heartbroken. We were becoming attached but deeply concerned about their survival. They said return them within the next two days and we will pay you back.

Seriously and more aggregiously, these women knew these kittens were not well. But they sold them to me anyway. I will continue to seek out other remedies with these two women and I will continue to post on line
until I’m satisfied they will no longer have the power to victimize another family. I’m not finished yet!

I’m sorry you feel that way. I have two of the cats in my home, and they are the sweetest cats I’ve ever had. I can flip them, kiss them and have never had an issue with their vet visits.

If you or others have experienced car health issues, why hasn’t anyone pulled vet records and filed a claim? Small claims court would certainly see the pattern and take steps, so this feels like an illegitimate set of claims, or a rant. Ranting is fine, as long as it’s within legal boundaries.

This sounds personal to me. Logical adults don’t call someone a psychopath because they’re mad about some kittens.

I’m more concerned with this post, in that with one breath, you’re trashing a cattery, and in another, you are privately promoting yours. What’s the name of your cattery? Have you just written this to only cause damage to a ragdoll to love? You understand, writing complaints like this without proof or cause, could potentially have you finding yourself in a court of law for defamation and slander? This is a world of technology, which has hundreds of thousand a of tracing capabilities-just take care that you don’t get yourself in hot water, while trying to get someone else there.

I wish you luck and joy, but sincerely suggest that you live and let live.

My apologies - I thought I read that you are a breeder, BrokenheartedFamily, so my comments about posting your cattery is null, however I stand by the rest. You discussed how so many of the kittens have health issues, but no one has filed a claim, that I can find on the court docket website my career allots me access to. I would be curious to know why you haven't answered her to discuss your issues and if you didn't get the responses you needed, followed up with a lawsuit? It wouldn't cost you a thing if you would win, and wouldn't require a lawyer, so what do you have to lose?

It’s not about “feeling that way”…we have sick cats. Those are facts. Good got you that you got two of the healthy cats. There is a HIGH percentage of cats from her cattery that have serious issues due to overcrowding, not bringing kittens yo the vet, and shared litter boxes with several cats. This is bot a high quality or reputable cattery. Period

Thank you John and Karen. I ask for vet records to give to my vet to see what he thinks and to this date have not received any.

Thank you for logically responding to this comment. I have so many families that have positive experiences and healthy cats from my 10 pus years of owning my cattety.

The woman I believe who wrote the comment, Denise, was offered a new kitten and I would have happily worked with her but she refused. Not much I can do if a person wont work with you.

FIP is not a genetic disease and in the same way cancer in a human can lay dormant so can FIP. You cannot look at a kitten and know if they will get FIP.

If she says from day 1, the kitten was sick, why was I not contacted? I would have taken the kitten back and worked closely with my vet of 11 years in seeing what could be done.

I would even though I do not refund money, if it was something that my vets health exam did not see, I would have refunded her purchase price.

Thank you for understanding where we are coming from and seeing that her comment wasnt entirely factual. Personal issues should be left out of complaint boards for small businesses as they can have such a dramatic impact.

I am the owner of this cattery and have never refused any test needed. I follow my vets protocol for testing and immuniAtions to a T and if a family wants a certain test, i don't have a problem having it done as long as it is paid for by the family.

I guarentee the 1st person brokenheartedfamily is someone I used to work with and I took back my kittens from her because she was not doing an adequate job with my Ragdolls.

Her last comment to me was I will make sure your cattery is destroyed. Its sad that people like trying to destroy others for their own struggles for no real cause.

I have so many amazing families who have bought 2 or 3 kittens from me over the 10 plus years I have owned this cattery. If you contact me, i would be happy to give you names and numbers of some of them.

If this person would email me at aragdolltolove.com, I would be happy to help her in any way I can. I have said this before but she never responds. How can I work with you if you dont tell me what it is you need.

I would love to see her records about FIP and her loss. I would make sure she is given total respect and compassion as I help her.

I would be happy to give anyone my vets name and number. I have been working with him for 10 years and he can give you information about my cats and my cattery. He is a very reputable vet for at least 25 years. and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

I would be happy to talk to anyone and give you my insight, my experiences, my dedication when it comes to my cattery. I am in the business of helping families with their kittens.

I only work with families who are serious about wanting a healthy loved kitten for their family. I will work as hard as possible to ensure this.

Just remember that one negative response from a family that wont getting in touch with to see how I can help in anyway does not come close to the many families who have my well adjusted happy healthy kittens..

I ask once more for this person who wrote this to email aragdolltolove@yahoo.com and let me help you . Not sure why you never respond but I am here and willing to listen and work with you.

Thank you for reading my response.

I am so sorry to hear about your sick kitten. It is heart breaking paying so much money and falling in love with it only to lose it so young. We purchased a kitten from A Ragdoll to love Cattery about a year ago but thankfully ours is still healthy. However we call her our “Ragdoll imposter” she looks like a Ragdoll but that’s it. This cat does not have the wonderful laid back tolerant Ragdoll temperament at all. Our cat hates to be picked up and will scratch and growl to get put down. She also goes after our other cats and growls at them as well... just not nice. I did get 2 other wonderful Ragdoll cats from 2 other breeders... both which are wonderful loving cats and typical Ragdolls . After speaking with another breeder I was told that the queen and king temperaments affect the kittens and so does the attention they get the first few months of life. The other issue I had was not being able to pick up the kitten until 14-15 weeks of age. The kitten only had 1 vaccine just given 2 days before pickup. Kitten vaccinations should be given at 8 and 12 weeks and again at 16 weeks. Our kitten should have had 2 vaccinations before pickup and we should have been able to go in a week to our vet for the 3rd one. Also people who pay $1100 for a kitten need to research the breed. Ragdolls are genetically disposed to getting HCM... its a condition that affects the heart. There’s a test that checks thec2 main genes that could affect Ragdolls. Breeders should be testing their queens and kings before breeding if they are responsible breeders. I asked about the queen of our kitten and the test did get done but should have been completed before breeding this cat. Know the queen and king of your kitten and ask to see the testing certificate for HCM which should be N/N for normal and the general health of both parents. Don’t just buy a kitten from the cute videos and pictures without asking about the parents . Some breeders actually post these test certificates on their websites and other diseases that have been tested for also. A Ragdoll to Love does not mention any of this on their website.

Our kittens from A Ragdoll to Love (Lori Parsons) had ONE vet visit 4 days before we picked them up. One of boys was sick from day one. First night we brought him home, I had to go to the emergency vet. Had we not driven four hours one way to pick them up, I’m not sure what I would’ve done at that point. He ended up at 9 months with FIP. We’ve been giving him GS medication and thankfully it’s working. It cost us $8700 to save him. On top of the $1, 200 to buy him. Their cattery was overcrowded and several cats shared a litter box, I should have run when I got there, but we had fallen in love and driven 4 hours, and like you: waited 14 weeks! Our “seal” Ragdoll looks like a mix. And both cats go not like being held, but they are friendly, fortunately. I regret going to Lori. I hope people think twice.

It’s so funny all the comments you post to take her business down, yet you can’t provide one document to back your claim? You sound like a scammer.
