21st Mortgage FInancial Counselor

I'm filing a complaint against Alaiah Miller, Financial Counselor. I have communicated via email that we would be making a payment on Friday. We tried scheduling the payment online and the system would not allow it because it is overdue. I understand that we are late. We will pay our late fee. The constant calling and emailing from this person is alarming and annoying. Do better 21st mortgage. You should be reaching out and asking if there is something you could do to help us out like some kind of financial assistance. I'm not the type of person that is rude to people but your employee has done it. I will schedule my payment on Friday!

Desired outcome: Stop harassing customers.

21st Mortgage Manufactured home mortgage

This is a horrible company,they always call 2 weeks before my payment is due to ask if I am going to make it,even though I always pay the payment on time.I call to try to get and extension for the first time,because my wife had a pulmonary embolism and is off work for awhile,this company offered little to no relief,and pretty much said pay or else,hoping to refinance ,very,very poor company company.

21st Mortgage Customer Service

I recently obtained a home through 21st Mortgage. Due to acts of God I fell behind on payments for a month and a half. I was able to catch up payments and not even 30 days past due on the current month. 21st contacted me threatening to foreclose on my home although federal law is 120 days delinquent. They ask for a plan to pay the current payment to which I provided them one that they were not willing to accept. They knew about family and friends which was not included in a reference nor in my contract. They violated hippa laws by asking questions. They were careful not to use obscene language but has managed to contact me more than 7 times in 7 consecutive days which is a illegal according to the FDCPA. They claimed that my past situation is unacceptable and they “will move forward!” When asked what their definition of moving forward was and if they were going to attempt to foreclosure on my home. The representative puts her manager in the phone to which she replied yes. Needless to say Federal law says 120 days delinquent I’m not even 30 days delinquent. What I am thankful for is the fact that every is on a recorded line. The fact that they didn’t understand is that some people work in law and has an understanding of law is beyond me. But thanks for your ignorance. I don’t need or want an apology because they weren’t sorry when I told them they they were breaking several laws and harassing the consumer in violations of Federal law

21st Mortgage Harassing me about one month behind on my mortgage payment.

The have called and harassed my husband at work and me when I have been very sixj and in the hospital. After I got out of the hospital my mom fell and broke her neck and I had to take on the responsibility of my disabled father. And I’m awaiting two lumbar surgeries that limits what I am able to do. So yes we got behind on the payments. But we are told if we do not have the other payment-making us one month late, we will be in foreclosure. I have been told that is illegal. I’m contacting a lawyer to get then off by back.

Desired outcome: Them give me breathing room so I can get the money to make the payment and for them not to call me and my husband at least 20 times a day.

21st Mortgage Locked account

Made two payments for July 2022 first payment went thru second payment was stoped by me there was never a return payment for this month so there was no reason for account to be locked out.I need to make payment for August.i don’t make payments over the phone for security reasons and there’s no reason for my account to be locked out in the first place and telling me it was for insufficient funds when that’s a complete lie in your part…

21st Mortgage Customer Service from Dustin Shewcraft.

This happen around March 2021, I’m filing as many complaints as possible because I’m still pissed off about it even though I know there will be no change.

Dustin Shrewcraft is very rude and disrespectful & probably RACIST. His arrogance and ignorance really pissed me off. Questioning my back pay from unemployment as if I was making the whole thing up. Didn’t know a damn thing about what I was talking about as he claimed to. Tried explaining to him how I received back pay but in his mind, I’m lying and back pay doesn’t exist. He just thinks he knows how unemployment works in all states. The way he spoke to me was beyond rude and condescending, I’m shocked at the customer service I received today. The fact that employees can be rude and disrespectful and still keep their job is beyond me. Definitely considering not doing business with them after this. He accused me of lying and thinking that he knows how all unemployment works in every state is what the problem is. His attitude was uncalled for and unnecessary. I tried explaining to him how and why unemployment gave me such a large deposit but he didn’t listen. Every state is different and they all don’t have the same set up and system, I’ve seen how other systems from other states look, it’s completely different than Michigan. He also claimed that I uploaded two different things which is a complete lie and he knows that. That’s not even possible. There is something seriously wrong with that man and he needs to be fired. If you have a recording of the phone call, you should probably listen to it. He’s a complete condescending idiot with no respect and knows nothing about what he claims to know.

Desired outcome: An apology but I doubt the arrogant white guy will apologize.

21st Mortgage Rude service

I call just to tell 21st mortgage about my upcoming payment. Immediately he was rude to me. Asking me why haven’t I been paying and they both payments on the same day. He then to proceed saying I should always have to make payment due to being a single parent and that was excuse. Threatening me with a default and foreclosure letter. Also looking into why I so much behind in February. (other stuff he said but it’s too personal) They don’t know what people are going through on the other end of the phone. So rude of hurting people and don’t care if it do. Long as you pay on time but either you a day late or month late. Be prepared for phone calls. I have never felt so humiliated in my life as today

Desired outcome: Apology/ have some compassion for people. I know you have a job but the way some of the people talk to you is down right disrespectful

21st Mortgage Horrible to deal with!

This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered! It doesn't matter if you are 1 day or 1 month late it's the same rude belittling threatening conversation period. Things happen like covid and you may be a little late and they tell you to beg borrow and not pay other bills ask personal questions and then tell you how they pay their bills on time. I am not 30 days late yet I told I am going into default and they will review my file and decide what to do next and call non stop! I will only communicate with them by email at this point and absolutely hate to have to deal with them at all.. Never would I have gone with this company had I known how ridiculousridiculous and totally disrespectful and rude they are.

21st Mortgage Loan payment, no grace period

I get paid bi-weekly so tend to pay my mortgage in the middle of the grace period. What I thought was a grace period. They harass me monthly and send me ridiculous letters asking me what my intentions with the property are? I have googled everywhere and all most all mortgages come with a grace period. Why did I choose a bank that doesn't have one, yet no late charge goes on till after the 17th. I asked if we could change my due date to the 15th instead because that is when I can have a payment in and they said no that I would have to pay two payments ahead to get the date changed. I think this company loves to harass and threaten people. I will be getting my contract out and reading it over. I don't believe they can do anything about it unless I default by 90 or 120 days. Very rude and would not recommend this company to anyone. I am refinancing in a few years to not have to deal with the harassment and the rude emails and phone calls over a mortgage that is not even being paid late. Do not use this company unless you can predict the future and pay on time every month for 23 years straight since the is no grace period. None not even an hour. And when they do call they are very intrusive and ask absurd questions about your money. Not a happy customer and very sad that I have to deal with them.

Desired outcome: To stop being harassed. How do you not have a grace period to better work with your customers? We are paying you a ton of money in interest you could at least give us a grace period without being harassed.

21st Mortgage Mortgage

Our payment was mailed by our bank. The mortgage company informed us it wasn't received on New Years Eve. When asked why we didn't take calls earlier this week, I explained we are very sick with Covid. Avery asked if we "miraculously got better" today.

Even after proving the check was sent directly from our bank, as agreed to with Graham on the 20th, they are threatening to foreclose on an account that is not even a month late.

We have paid on this account for seven years. Every time they make phone contact with us, they are rude and they set off my ptsd. I am a disabled Marine and I do not take threats or harassment lightly.

This is the worst mortgage company in the world

I see my review was miraculously deleted. I hate thus loan company they are a scam. The most unprofessional and hateful people work there. Their whole Company needs a through audit/investigation. I have a fixed rate mortgage my payments jumped way up. When I asked why they had the nerve to tell me my interest rate went up. About ready to move out and rent from now own.

21st Mortgage Age discrimination in manufactured home mortgage lending

I am currently in escrow for purchase of a manufactured home located in Ontario, CA. I am 70 yrs old, retired, but have excellent credit and a six figure retirement income. I first applied with 21st Mortgage Corporation for a mortgage loan for the manufactured home, and dealt with Justin Trammell. He was rather robotic in interaction, closed my file after an initial approval, just because he needed updated information. I contacted him to provide that info and was approved again. The problem is my loan was amortized over a 10 yr period, which made the monthly payment very high. Again, my credit score is 800+, and i have 4 sources of retirement income. Currently, I'm dealing with Rosemarie Benardello, a Senior Loan Advisor, who provided me with another approval amortized over 17 years, lowering the monthly payment. Rosemarie is not the problem, as she has been wonderful, communicative and alluded to my age as the rationale for shorter amortization periods. This discussion with her relative to age and shorter amortization schedules was brief, and she discussed this as the rationale by underwriters from 21st Mortgage Corporation. Rosemarie is not from 21st Mortgage, but works in a subsidiary company. The interest rate on the loan from 21st Mortgage will be 8+% because this purchase is investment in nature. I have a principal residence and an investment property that have significant equity from which i can apply for a HELOC loan to pay off this loan, but i don't think that can be done while in escrow. I just want a 20+ year amortization schedule for the current approved loan as remedy to this problem. I attempted to attach pdf's of both loan approval notices, however this format will not allow. I can fax or upload to a recommended source if provided that information. My contact information is below for your reference. Thank you

21st Mortgage Late payment

I am behind on my mortgage payment which is less than a payment. Made an agreement to pay extra every month to get caught up. Stimulus check came in with intentions of paying my payments up but other things came up. My conversation with them today was why I did not get caught up with my stimulus check. The supervisor was rude and calling me a liar. Then said he was going to foreclose on my loan. Then hung up on me. He was rude and uncooperative in getting a solution. Kathy is my agent and very cooperative but the supervisor I will not talk to again.

21st Mortgage Harassment

This is the worst company ever ! I have recently fallen behind on payments . Last year due to COVID we were out of work. They call and email
Me everyday to see if I have any money to pay them . They are rude and unprofessional. They meddle and ask questions on how much my monthly income is along with going as far as telling me that . I am behind 2 payments and when I tried to make a payment today they did not accept because I haven't exhausted my options as they say. They told me stuff like go pawn things of value to get their payments, asked me to borrow money to complete a payment they even asked for my COVID relief check and said they wanted to get the money before I went shopping . They are the worst I hate this company and I hate calling them because nothing positive comes out of these ppl . Not sure what step to take from here .

21st Mortgage Unprofessional and very rude

Because my husband lost his job we have been behind and I understand that we have to keep up with them but sometimes it's hard to speak to them because they are sarcastic and and they say they want to help you but make it difficult to work with them. They say just answer when we call okay? We answer again why are u behind? Same answer. Why can't u make the payment? Same answer. How much you getting a month? Same answer. We had other bills that came in plus, medical bills. Their answer"well maybe pay your house payment next time first". So I'm suppose to let my husband medical necessities go no diabetic medicine, no blood pressure medicine, no humira for his skin and bone disease. And yes I explained this to them. They need a class etiquette and professionalism. I will not recommend this mortgage company. Social media will hear of this.

21st Mortgage Mobile home mortgage company

Unfortunately it was only after we were financed and everything was said and done that we decided to do some research on this company after we were verbally abused by a few of the staff. These people are absolutely the most disrespectful people I have ever dealt with. I thought maybe it was just me but after seeing all the reviews on this company I clearly am not the only ones that have been verbally abused, harassed and disrespected by this company. Just today I spoke with Parker who "over talked" me and wouldn't let me get a word in about the check I sent into them. I absolutely dread when I see their phone number come up on my phone when I am a few days late. Around the time the stimulus checks were about to be distributed I was out of work and had no money to catch up on my other bills so I thought maybe they would be gracious enough to postpone my payment. Boy was I wrong, I was told I have to use my stimulus check for my mortgage payment. The very first phone call I had when I was late I didn't know about all their complaints so when I spoke with my account holder (forgot her name) she asked me to go over all my expenses over the phone which I did think was weird because they should have already had this information already. I thought maybe it was just routine to verify everything on my application which. Then I was asked to go over my grocery bill and miscellaneous expenses and I asked the woman why that was relevant and she said "because I want to see what you are spending your money on that you cant make your payment on the day its due". After that was when I lost all respect for the company and their employees. The only person I have not had problems with is Bailey, she is probably the sweetest person in that company. I wish I could recall all the problems I have had with this company but if I did this review would be astronomically long. The only resolution is for this company to go out of business!

21st Mortgage property taxes

This company failed to inform me of delinquent taxes that they failed to pay on property that I purchased. Since I purchased the land in January 2019 I wasn't expecting to pay taxes until October 2019. Needlessly to say the property was sold at a tax auction 3 months after purchase. I would not have had an issue with paying the back taxes but at least be upfront and honest about the situation.

21st Mortgage mobile home mortgage, payment not late, the blaylock's in arkansas

we have not missed any payments til this month January 2020, they called us 01/07/2020 we technically aren't past due til the 16th of January 2020. We will are willing to get January payment to them on January 24, 2020. They were being verbal abusive to me, and my husband. They were asking us what we did with the money for the mortgage. Why we did have it. What bills do we have and pay monthly. which is none of there business. And also saying they couldn't accept a payment arrangement of the 24th of January, and another payment which would be regular payment on February the 3rd. Which would make us current. Talked to 2 representatives and 2 supervisors. With the same answers and results. They were yelling and treating us like we were low life's that were trying to not pay and that wasn't the case at all. I work from home and take phone calls as a customer service agent and would never be allowed to treat a customer like they treated us. They need to learn to work with there customers not be mean and abusive. My husband is 69 and I am 65, we don't deserve to be treated in such a manner. They need to be reprimanded for treating people that way. So someone needs to address 21st Mortgage in Knoxville, Tn. with there attitude, and they need to learn to treat people respectively. 1-800-955-0021.

21st Mortgage illegal foreclosures

Please help! This company has been found guilty of illegally foreclosing on my Elderly Parents home and are still coming after them . I have paid a Lawyer 15.000.00 over the last 2 years and he with drew from the case ! Please someone give me some advice I am out of money and don't know where to turn. There time is running out. 21st Mortgage harassment

Calling every month stating that our payment is due in the first but doesn't have a grace period but on my mortgage booklet says we have until the 16th to pay without late fees. The last I checked that's a grace period! I'm tired of being harassed everyday! The mortgage is paid every month! Why give this grace period of your gonna call and harass me everyday till it's paid. Honestly everyone that has to deal with these [censored] should file a lawsuit against them for harassment. It's not ok and you aren't the only bill people have to pay!

21st Mortgage mortgage/customer service

We initially applied for our loan in mid-February 2019. We submitted our documents and got the initial approval notice and were allowed to move in mid-March with a tentative due date of May 1 on our first payment. We had several problems come up, like the property tax was submitted wrong so we owed more on our down payment, the community couldn't get all of their documents in. We thought we had it resolved by the end of April. We got our call from 21st and we agreed our first payment would be May 15 due to the short notice. There were some more problems, some of the community documents were still missing so we went back and forth and on May 10 we were told our due date would be pushed back to June 1 because of the delays getting the paperwork. I called the afternoon May 13 to check and was told the final document had been submitted but was still pending. I called today, May 16, and was told that our loan was finalized May 14 and that we had a payment due yesterday. We were never notified the loan had been finalized and that our payment was due and when I called today there is apparently no record of the conversation had May 10 regarding my load being pushed out and that there is no way to push the loan out. They told me we agreed to May 15 and it doesn't matter when the loan was finalized, even if it had gone through May 16, the first payment on file was due May 15 and seeing as to how we've been living in the house since March that they don't see what the problem is. We were assured the first time our date was pushed out that regardless of when we make the first payment, we will make the same number of payments, all of the payments will be for a set amount, and that the amount paid into the loan will be same. No one seems to get why we're so upset at the loan being approved Tuesday with a Wednesday due date and when we mention that we were never notified they insist we were, back in April when we agreed to May 15. They say our only choice here is to make the payment now or we can pay an added fee of $92 to change our cycle with the first payment being due June 1.
