192camera.com “unlocked” phone

I bought a Samsung to take overseas, I was told it was unlocked, when we tried to set it up the device was locked by a phone carrier, I tried calling the store and the phone number given was disconnected, for over two weeks I had my cousin go to the store at least 3 times a week to see if they can give me the code to unlock it, every single time she was told that I would get a code by the end of the day, my cousin asked for a phone number to call the store and get the code, the guy gave her a google phone number and the guy never picks up the phone, then she finally got fed up with it (since returning the phone would cost us 35% restocking fee... 35!) so she went to the store and the guy told her to speak to the technician on the phone, she did and got the technician's info, he was actually very quick and helpful, after over two weeks she finally got the right code and the technician said that he was given the wrong IMEI to begin with...

I purchased a small holster camera bag and took home to take on a small day trip, later that day, realized my dslr camera that I wanted to use with the lens was a tad to long, called the story and they said no issue just return. Having to work the weekend I returned on the 7th day, within the guidelines of the written receipt to have the same guy that sold it to me, say I can't refund or return it now. Why I asked it was never used with the tags still on it with original receipt. He said oh, will you bought this 7 days ago at 11:46am, it's the 7th day at 1:02pm, your an hour and 20 min passed the deadline. I got angry obviously the receipts states 7 days, and I thought who has such a stupid policy, they go by the hour of day, I complain, but he said there was nothing he could do he's not the owner and no manager there. Leaving very upset I felt the need to call to complain, however after I googled the company I see nothing but rip offs. Also to make matters worse I now see the same bag retails for about $10 less than I paid. So don't buy from this store, overpriced and horrible customer service. I see they are not in business to stay in business for long!

My mother bought me a Pentax camera when she was on vacation in Florida in 192Camera and the camera came without 2 items that the box stated that came with the camera. I called 4 times and e-mailed 7 times and when I got through one of the salesman told me he had sent the items. After 2 months the camera began to fail. The pictures it took came out blurry. For the price paid for the camera it should have been a better product.

Hi, friends,

the guys at 192 Camera at this address are using their business policies to ripp off clients on a brutal way.
I saw a big "SONY" sign on the outside, so went in on Black Friday expecting some cool offers from Sony.
Instead I ended up buying two Android tablets, they marketed as their "hot" items. They told me that those are their best sellers this year.
According to the salesman, that was the most valued item on sale, which they can sell at a lower price because of the big volume they are selling.
To my surprise, the Arnova 10 tablets they sold me were valued at around $ 200, while they charged me $ 350 each excl. tax. On top of that, the tablets were not at all what they made me believe. It doesn't support the full Android Market. So the next day I went back to return the items. What comes next is the most embarrasing experience ever.
Their receipt say: "All sales are final. No refunds. Exchange within 7 days with original package. 30% restocking fee".
There was no way I could get my money back.
Since I needed a tablet, and had to fly back home the next day, there was no way I could come to a satisfactory conclusion.
After long arguing, the only thing I could do was get another tablet for the price of the two items I returned. And even then they deducted 30% restocking fee.
So to get a Sony S 32, I had to pay again $ 350, because apparently the price of the Sony was $ 999. Very frustated, I learned afterwards that they again ripped me off, because this item is valued at no more than $ 600.
After all I paid roughly (excl. tax.) $ 1, 029 for a Sony tablet valued at a price of maximum $ 600, and all this on a Black Friday (rip-off) deal.
They knew I'm from the Caribbean and had to fly back, so there's no way they can be bothered anymore.

To all you folks out there, watch out. Avoid being lured in a trap like what happened to me.
This store is located near a large mall, so get inside the mall to get your stuff.
Don't risk your hard-earned money with this company.

Hola estos sujetos son unos ladrones estafadores mentirosos y poco hombres, me robaron bilmente 1309 dólares a base de mentiras prometiéndole productos con un descuento el cual no aplicaron proque nunca me dieron los productos, profavor unamosnos para poder denunciarlos y estén tras las rejas

There are complains since 2014 and the place is still open. Last week I bought a computer there and it was the same story described here. They sold me the wrong computer and I couldn't do anything because I went there to receive my money back and they were very, very disgusting. They are thiefes, should be in jail. There are a tag on the products that is not the product and we see it only at home.

THIEFS! They just look for turist that can't bother them after the things they do. It's unbelievable! What can we do? And they are using the SONY brand...
We already called the police and they said we have to go to the court... We were robbed by $2130 USD !

My name is Raphael and I´m from Brazil. At 03/01/2015 I bought a laptop at 192 camera in Orlando (Crystal Lane).

It was a Sunday. Around 8 pm. The store was empty. I was the only customer. I talked with a man that seemed to be the store´s owner or manager.
I said that I had around US 600 to buy a laptop. He showed me a Dell and a Toshiba. I chose the Toshiba. He told me that the laptop had an “Stream” Intel Pentium Processor that was equivalent to the i7, 500GB on the hard disk and 4 GB RAM. It cost me $ 589.99 + plus tax. A total of $ 628.34.

I came back to Brazil. When I was transferring all the programs, archives and datas from my old laptop to the new one I bought at 192 Camera a message appeared at the screen that the HD didn´t have enough space. How weird! How could this happen if I bought a laptop with 500 GB HD of capacity and my old one had a capacity of 350 GB? Well, the answer is: they gave me the wrong laptop! They gave me the Toshiba Satellite L 15 W B1303 instead of the computer I bought. The computer they gave me has only 32 GB on the HD, a Celeron Processor and 1.8 RAM and costs $ 200.00 at Amazon.
I searched at Google and I found out that the one I bought was the L 15 W B1303 wich I can buy at Amazon for $ 420.00. Why do they charge $ 590.00 for the same product? This is crazy! I´m calling and sending e-mails, but thy don´t answer me back. Thiefs! Must go to jail now!

Compre una laptop el 1/1/14 en US$900 despues de recomendacion de un "experto" de la tienda. Me hablo de todo lo bueno de la computadora y la garantia que iba a tener. Pague, firme la garantia, admito que sin leer, y oh sorpresa. No era una garantia, lo que decia era que era un equipo reconstruido, que se vendian tal cual, sin pila (la tenia), sin sistema operativo, etc.. En la casa me di cuenta al ver el modelo en internet que no cuesta mas de US600.00 (nuevo). Ademas me "regalaron un bulto" e insistieron en que me la llevara en el bulto. Luego vi en lo que firme que para reembolsar el dinero (30% menos) tenia que estar en su caja.
Lo peor de todo es lo estupido que uno se siente por haber confiado en esa persona y porque no en el pais donde me encontraba, creia ese tipo de cosa no pasaban.

Son ESTAFADORES! Venden equipos usados o robados como nuevos, te mienten en la cara y luego desmienten todo! Te dicen q tiene garantia y no es cierto. Es indignande lo que nos ocurrio y la impotencia de no poder hacer nada pq ellos mismos te dicen "es tu palabra contra la mia, si no te gusta veni con la policia"

OMG had exactly same experience however i got a Canon 3ti which i found out to my expense would usually cost $650 and no they charged me $909 and be unknowing to the prices here i was stupid and brought it!

They are big time rip offs! Bought Sony Vaio T series laptop over the top price. Cisco had the item for $695 and they charged me $1600! Huge scam artists. Don't buy here!

192camera.com sell an old model at a higer price than a new one

They sell us a Blacberry 8310 as a better option than the Blacberry 9630 that we were asking for. They use their technical knowledge to ambush their clients. They sell us an 8310 at a higher price (U$S 550) than they were asking for the 9630 (499). After an internet search we notice the 8310 is a very old model it has less screen resolution (¨just a little bit¨, according to Martin Mammoliti, the seller) and fewer features. We return four more times to the store in order to change the model or to obtain a refund. Nothing happened.

An internet search shows lots of complains about this store and about the selling ¨strategies¨ of Martin in particular.

My question is who has to take all this complains into consideration. Who has to stop this unfair practices.

To the people who are reading this, please don’t even think to enter 192 camera.com and please don’t be ambush by Mr. Martin with his siren songs.

tabem tive problemas com esta loja. Comprei 3 tablets hp 32G e um celular Sansung. Um dos tablets já veio estragado e foi trocado, mas agora, 30 dias depois já não liga mais. o celular veio sem bateria. CUIDADO, NAO COMPREM NESTA LOJA, NAO SAO CONFIAVEIS.

Amigos lo mismo me ocurrio a mi y nada fue resuelto despues de tratar de resolver mi problema, por el contrario me hecharon como un perro de la tienda y me llamaron la policia, pero finalmente encontre la forma de hacer justicia. Si todos no quejamos vamos a ser escuchados, ya los estan investigando por fraude pero necesitamos escribir nuestras historias al Comisionado Scott Boyd (district1@ocfl.net), al Alcalde Richard Crotty (mayor@ocfl.net) y al departamento de fraudes ( fraudhelp@sao9.org ) para que esto no le siga ocurriendo a turistas inocentes como nosotros.

Hello, my name is Yadira Escribano Caro. I'm from Puerto Rico and last week I was vacationing with my mother and daughter in Orlando, Florida. Everything was perfect until I was swindled by salesmen at a local store. I need to know if I can alert tourists and locals somehow, through a newspaper or other media, about the dishonest practices carried out at this electronics store. The outside of the store carries no discernible, original name; it only says it's a SONY Outlet.

The people in charge of the store are Latinos (Argentineans) that speak Spanish, but all the receipts for their transactions and the merchandise they sell are in English. They intentionally mislead their customers into thinking that all the products in the store are brand new and below retail price, but this is, in fact, a lie; their prices are greatly inflated and most of their merchandise is actually refurbished or used.They display all their products together, but do not make any visible distinction as to which ones are new (if there ARE any new products at the store, that is) and which ones are refurbished or used, not even when giving the product specifications to their customers.

My terrible experience took place on Thursday, August 7th of this year, 2008. I went to take a look at laptops and asked them to show me their smallest models. After being shown a few different models (both Mac and PC) and talking with the salesmen (mainly with the manager of the store, actually), I decided to purchase a Mac laptop. At no moment did they ever mention the merchandise was refurbished, and so when I realized that the receipt they had made me sign in order to complete the purchase said the computer they would sell me was "refurbished, " I asked them to please cancel the transaction/charge immediately. They said that the money ($1, 038.00) had been charged to my credit card and that I had signed, so there was nothing they could do. English is not my native tongue and we were conducting all the business in Spanish anyway, and so my *daughter* was the one that pointed out what they had done after she saw the receipt in the store just minutes after the purchase.

I tried to talk the manager (who was the one who did the transaction) and come to some sort of agreement, but he was rude, not interested in helping me, and dismissive. He presumed to tell me I didn't need a new computer for what I had planned to use it for and that I should just take it and leave the store. At his most cooperative, after we unmasked his fraud, he told me that I could just pick other items at the store and make some sort of exchange. But who can purchase something or make an exchange at a store where one knows that they are trying to cheat the customer? They even suggested I exchange the computer for a Fujifilm camera that they alleged cost the same as the Mac laptop, but when my daughter called a friend to check out the retail price online, she found the true retail price of the camera was less than $300.00. They were trying to cheat and deceive me AGAIN! I was in shock.

While I was at the store, several other customers arrived complaining of similar troubles. The ones I specifically spoke to were Mexicans that had been in Orlando for a vacation and who had, the previous day, purchased two computers and a digital camera. When they got to their hotel, they unpacked the items and realized they were old and used. They, too, did not speak English as a first language, and I'm not even sure they spoke much English at all. They came to return their items, but were also turned away. This is obvious, further proof at the scam that this store is running; they take advantage of customers and use the language barrier to cheat them into buying old, refurbished, pricey items and then saying "there is nothing they can do because the merchandise has already been purchased."

How is it possible that a transaction cannot be cancelled if the purchase hadn't even occurred more than five minutes before? I called my bank in Puerto Rico and they apparently didn't understand my position or the situation, saying there was nothing I could do and nothing they could do either. Now that I'm back in Puerto Rico, they said they will conduct some sort of investigation. This is clearly a case of fraud because I asked the manager immediately to cancel the charge because I realized I had been swindled and cheated into buying a refurbished item that was not only used and old, but practically obsolete (I found out later that the model was released in 2001 and discontinued in 2003) AND whose price was greatly inflated.

THIS IS ABUSE AND FRAUD. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ALERT THE PEOPLE IN FLORIDA ABOUT THIS STORE AND THE INDECENT, DISHONEST PEOPLE WHO MANAGE IT! If there is a way to alert the media, please do so or let me know how I can make that happen. This should be in newspapers, the radio, TV, or SOMETHING so that the public will be informed and stay far away from that deplorable place that calls itself an "outlet."

I still have faith that I might get my money back because $1, 038.00 is not money that I can just throw away or "gift" to unscrupulous vendors that deceive their customers while wearing a smiling face and then start insulting them once the customers have realized what is going on. This is horrible for Orlando's tourism industry because most of the people caught in this web of deceit are tourists that have to return to their countries of origin with a bitter taste in their mouth and a big hole in their pockets.

I truly hope for your cooperation and understanding with this very serious matter.

Yadira something very similar happened to me im venezuelan and they rip us off me and my family and must being punished for that, unfortunately we can do nothing as we are tourists, but i just found that they are illegal alliens working so they can be reported to inmigration and deported to see if they can still being crooks here in latin america which i doubt..

192camera.com buyers remorse not excepted

We visited 192 camera.com on 5-15-09 to purchase a i-pod nano 4th generation. The salesmen took one out of the diplay case and grabbed a mp4 touch camera to compare for us. Never was I informed that I had to be a dealer to purchase the i-pod nano 4th generation at the same cost as Walmart, I asked and got no reply. During the purchase of the mp4 touch/camera I asked the cashier about the store warrenty, he espressed that if I was unhappy I could return this item to the store. I was asked to sign a receipt when I had used my pin # with my debit card, I asked why that neccessary and he replyed that it was for their records.
My 12 year old daughter was with me because she had been saving for several months for this purchase.
After 10 miniutes I returned to the store with the mp4 touch/camera for an exchange because my daughter was not happy the quality of the mp4 touch. The manager informed me that I was not a dealer and he could not exchange for the i-pod nano 4th generation. Being misinformed about the reciept I had sighed, it was a nonrefundable statment of my product. Everything the teller told me was a lie. The manager informed me that my daughter sould learn a lesson from this. Comparing this purchase to a mercedes benz purchase. My company has a buyers remorse of 3 days. I was sure that a 10 minute sale was reversable. But I was wronge. As I googled this company the fraud allerts were many.

Hola amigos soy Janeth me siento ASALTADA, por 192 camera.comcompre un proyector de led Sony VPL-EX100 en la tienda tiene un costo tan elevado comparado con el precio de sony, tuve que consultar algo tecnico y me encuentro con la sorpresa que este tiene un costo de 750 US o 409 Euros, el 27 de julio del año en curso adquiri este proyector en su tiendada de orlando ubicada en el 13605 S Apopka Vinelad RD Orlando FL 32821 con la promesa del vendedor (un chico argentino) de que pagaba solo el vlr del proyector pues por promocion todo lo que adquirimos adicionalmente no seria cobrado un black berry, un porta retrato digital, un ipod y otras cosas. La factura se cancelo por 2.300 us lo cual me parece escandoloso pues sumando todo lo que compramos no alcazaria los 1600us, en la factura todos los precios estan en ceros y nos envolvieron tanto que tan ingenuos no revisamos, he llamado pero cambian los numero telefonicos, no me recibe los archivos para adjuntar la factura y la informacion de sony. Ojala esta personas que nombran nos puedan colaborar.

Dear friends the same thing happen to me and nothing was done after trying to get my money back, they acted aggressive and called on the police but if we get together I think we will be listen I found the right channel to address our claims as they are already under investigation please email your story to their Commissioner Scott Boyd (district1@ocfl.net) and their Mayor Richard Clotty (mayor@ocfl.net) as well as the fraud Department ( fraudhelp@sao9.org ), so send this 3 emails and they will take care of us by not allowing them to scam more innocent tourists.

Amigos lo mismo me ocurrio a mi y nada fue resuelto despues de tratar de resolver mi problema, por el contrario me hecharon como un perro de la tienda y me llamaron la policia, pero finalmente encontre la forma de hacer justicia. Si todos no quejamos vamos a ser escuchados, ya los estan investigando por fraude pero necesitamos escribir nuestras historias al Comisionado Scott Boyd (district1@ocfl.net), al Alcalde Richard Crotty (mayor@ocfl.net) y al departamento de fraudes ( fraudhelp@sao9.org ) para que esto no le siga ocurriendo a turistas inocentes como nosotros.

I had a problem with them, on June 26th.

I've purchase a Sony Battery but I asked them a VGN 470E and I paid for that USD 169.34
when I arrived in home I saw a old battery of other kind of computer
I can't understand as the USA government can let a company like this working in the USA
near to Disneyland !
I saw here a lot of complains and this 192 Camera.com keep working and USA !
They are trust not good person.
Don't leave that they be at work in the country; the law have to do something.
Definelly they ashamed the country.

I would like be aware as I can get back my money as it was done by Credicard.

I have visiting 192CAMERA.com, I have problem with them, on may 11th.
I've purchase a Sony Personal Navigation System, andthe salesman, said me that I can use it here in US, and with an external memory I could put maps fron others countries. It was a lie. they are not good peop'le. I was cheatted by them.
Don't leave that they be at work in the country; the law have to do something.
