1&1 Ionos Avoid Ionos (ionos.com) at all costs - Unprofessional customer care and lack of services as advertised

My experience with Ionos (ionos.com) was not good at all. The customer care was lacking and unprofessional, which is why we decided to cancel our hosting accounts with Fast Hosts and Ionos. I would strongly advise others to avoid them at all costs. The staff were rude and did not provide the services as advertised. We have lengthy evidence to provide within emails to support this claim.

In a previous case, we had a bad experience with Fast Hosts, which resulted in an award for compensation due to their rudeness, lack of professionalism, and very poor customer care. They did apologize in writing for their behavior. We will also be making sure that Trading Standards are aware of Ionos' unprofessionalism and the losses and stress they caused us, as well as updating them on Fast Hosts.

The reply we received from Ionos was inaccurate. The main reason we left Fast Hosts was because they lost a case against us for mis-selling products by their fraud team. They then deliberately lost our websites, and Ionos played a part in this as well. I am glad that the case has now been uncovered, as it shows how dishonest they are. They coerced us by being threatening and abusive, which is unacceptable.

We advised Ionos to close the account, but they have declared otherwise. This is yet another untruth and another error upon error. The lack of trained staff to manage the transfer of a group of websites is evident, and we have email evidence to support these facts. Unfortunately, all our efforts to resolve the issue have been fruitless.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their customer care is lacking, and their staff are unprofessional. They do not provide the services as advertised, and their behavior is unacceptable. I hope that they will improve their services in the future, but until then, I would advise others to steer clear of them.

1&1 Ionos Ionos: Fraudulent Contracts and Shady Business Practices

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Ionos. I cancelled my service back in May, but these guys are still causing me problems. It's like they don't even care about their customers. They've even gone so far as to steal from me and open an illegal account in my name. Can you believe that?

I've been trying to transfer my domain, but they just won't let me. It's like they're holding it hostage or something. I even sent them an email telling them to close the unauthorized account and transfer my domain to me, but they haven't done anything about it. I'm getting pretty fed up with their lack of action.

I mean, seriously, I'm not asking for much here. All I want is for them to do their job and fix their mess. If they don't, I'm going to take legal action against them. I'm not messing around anymore. They have 24 hours to comply with my request, or I'm going to make sure everyone knows about their fraudulent contracts and shady business practices.

It's really frustrating when a company doesn't take their customers seriously. I've had enough of this nonsense. Ionos needs to step up and do the right thing. If they don't, they're going to regret it.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Harassing Customer Service from Ionos: A Review

So, I had a bit of a situation with Ionos this morning. Apparently, they sent me to a debt collection agency for a debt that I don't even have! I had cancelled the domain that I had bought and never used months prior, but even if I hadn't cancelled it, the debt they claimed I had accrued was only ?12. I mean, come on, really?

Anyway, I called them up to try and resolve the issue, but they were incredibly rude and abrupt with me. They refused to even take my details and discuss the matter with me. Instead, they tried to get me off the call for a good 40 minutes, saying that I had to talk to their debt collectors. I mean, what kind of customer service is that?

After being put on hold for the third time, I finally managed to get them to look at my details. Lo and behold, they admitted that the cancellation hadn't taken place. It took them another 20 minutes of silence to rectify their notes. Can you believe it?

To make matters worse, they still expected me to speak to their debt collection agency about their mistake! I refused and asked for an email to confirm that the issue had been resolved. I finally received an email later on saying that "as a gesture of goodwill, we have cancelled the debt/payment". I mean, seriously? I don't owe them anything!

I have to say, I will never recommend their harassment and up-selling tactics. Two members of staff were extremely rude, shouting at me and trying to cut me off from explaining their inaccuracy. It's just not acceptable.

Overall, I would say that my experience with Ionos has been less than satisfactory. I would advise anyone thinking of using their services to think twice before doing so.

1&1 Ionos Terrible Experience with Ionos: Aggressive Marketing and Lost Domain

I recently had a terrible experience with Ionos (formerly known as 1 and 1) and I want to share my story with you. I had been a loyal customer for almost two decades and had always been satisfied with their services. However, my recent encounter with them left me feeling frustrated and cheated.

The problem started when I received an overwhelming number of marketing emails from Ionos. These emails flooded my billing email box, making it extremely difficult for me to distinguish between essential billing emails and junk. As a result, I missed the opportunity to renew my domain promptly. To make matters worse, my credit card had been issued with an updated expiration date, which further complicated the payment process.

Despite my repeated requests to stop sending me marketing emails, Ionos continued to bombard me with them. As a result, I lost my domain, which I had owned for almost two decades. When I tried to reinstate it, Ionos wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount of money, which I could not afford. To add insult to injury, the domain is now being sold for thousands of dollars higher online.

I felt deceived and cheated by Ionos, and I believe that they are guilty of Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP). I urge anyone who experiences a similar situation to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and keep UDAAP laws in mind.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their marketing tactics are aggressive and overwhelming, and their customer service is terrible. If you value your time and money, stay away from Ionos.

1&1 Ionos Ionos Review: Frustrating Experience with Cancellation and Refund Process

So, I recently signed up with Ionos on December 23rd, 2021 and transferred my domain to their platform. They offered me some services with a 30-day money-back guarantee, which I thought was a great deal. I subscribed to their services and then canceled well before the 30 days were up, on January 3rd, 2022. However, to my surprise, even after canceling, they charged my credit card with USD 90.00.

I tried to call their support numbers, but I was met with a mix of machine and human voices that put me on hold every time. I had to hang up after waiting for a long time, sometimes up to 55 minutes. It was frustrating, to say the least. But, I did the right thing and called my bank to warn them about this fishy website business company and asked them to put a check on my credit card.

Finally, after multiple attempts, I was able to speak with a representative named Theo. He informed me that my account was locked and that he would forward my case to the security team. I told him that I wanted three things to be done in 72 hours. Firstly, I wanted my money back, which was USD 90. Secondly, I wanted my credit card details deleted from Ionos.com. And lastly, I wanted my account to be canceled from Ionos since I no longer wanted their service.

I made sure to send these three points in an email a couple of times to record this for my documentation. I also recorded the last two calls for my records. After 72 hours, if these three things were not done, I would pass all my documentation, emails, and call recordings to a lawyer in the USA and file a lawsuit against them.

Overall, my experience with Ionos has been frustrating and disappointing. I hope that they will resolve this issue soon and that other customers will not have to go through the same ordeal.

Over the course of six months, I had numerous issues with Ionos. Their customer service was non-existent, and I spent countless hours on the phone with one unhelpful representative after another. It was a frustrating experience that left me feeling like I was wasting my time.

There were several reasons why I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Third, they will try to upsell you on products you don't need without providing any information about them.

Overall, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their agents are rude and unhelpful, and they will often tell you to "calm down" or give you a dismissive "oopsy poopsy, our bad" when you have a problem. If you want a reliable website hosting company, I would suggest using GoDaddy and getting WordPress. It may cost a few bucks more, but at least you know you are dealing with a credible company.

If you've ever used a domain registration and hosting site like GoDaddy, you might be used to certain business practices that are common in the modern age. However, if you're looking for a company that operates more like they did in the early 2000s, then IONOS might be the right choice for you.

One thing to keep in mind when working with IONOS is that they create contracts for every purchase you make with them. This means that if you pick up a domain for a project that you later decide not to pursue, you might still be on the hook for charges related to that domain. In fact, as the attached image and quote show, your contract may remain active and continue to incur charges even if you don't want it to.

This can be frustrating if you're used to more flexible options from other hosting providers. For example, if you use Digital Ocean, you can spin up a droplet whenever you need it and shut it down just as easily. Plus, if you don't use the service for a few months, they'll even give you your money back.

Another issue with IONOS is that they lock you into long contracts, and it can be difficult to cancel them. Even if you cancel your domain registration, they might still require you to pay hosting charges through the end of the contract. And if you do try to cancel, they might tell you that it's not possible.

1&1 Ionos IONOS Review: Dishonest and Greedy Company Engaging in Corrupt Business Practices

I recently had an experience with IONOS that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. On June 1, 2022, I decided to purchase a website builder and a domain name from IONOS. I was under the impression that the payment would only be $12.00 for one year and then $5.00 every month. However, to my surprise, IONOS charged me $144.00 instead.

Feeling cheated, I immediately filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Thankfully, IONOS refunded most of my payment, which was $107.98. However, they informed me via email that they would be taking another payment of $12.00 from my card within 7 days. This left me feeling uneasy, and I filed another complaint with the FTC.

Unfortunately, on June 6, 2022, IONOS once again charged my card for $107.98. They even attempted to charge me an additional $144.00, which resulted in my card having a negative balance. This experience has left me feeling that IONOS is a dishonest and greedy company that lacks professionalism.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend IONOS to anyone. I believe that they are taking advantage of their customers and engaging in corrupt business practices. I encourage others to stay away from IONOS and to file official complaints with consumer agencies if they have had similar experiences. If necessary, legal action should be taken against IONOS to put an end to their unfair contracts and greedy practices. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and honesty, and IONOS has failed to deliver on these basic expectations.

1&1 Ionos Ionos Review: Shady Business Practices and Hidden Charges

I gotta say, I'm pretty skeptical of Ionos, or as they used to be known, 1and1. They're supposed to be selling domain names, but it seems like they're really just out to scam people. Here's what happened to me: I bought a domain name from them, and I got a confirmation email saying that everything was good to go. But then, a year later, I started getting emails saying that my domain name was about to expire and I needed to renew it. I didn't think much of it, since I wanted to keep my domain name, so I just let it renew automatically.

But then, when I checked my bank statement, I saw that Ionos had charged me way more than I expected. It turns out that they had signed me up for hosting services without my permission, and they were charging me for that too. I never asked for hosting, I just wanted a domain name! When I called them to complain, they told me that it was all in the emails they had sent me, but I never saw anything about hosting. They were just trying to pull a fast one on me.

Eventually, I got my money back, but only because I threatened to write a bad review. It's pretty shady that they only gave me my money back because they were afraid of negative publicity. I don't trust Ionos at all, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you want to buy a domain name, go with Porkbun instead. They're much more trustworthy and they won't try to scam you.

1&1 Ionos Stay Away from Ionos: Nightmare Cancellation Process and Unethical Billing Practices

I'm a marketing consultant and I've been using Ionos for hosting several websites. I must say, everything was going fine until I decided to cancel my subscription. The user interface is a bit clunky, but hey, you get what you pay for, right? However, the cancellation process has been a nightmare for me. I can't even believe what I've been through!

I've tried to cancel my subscription through the website where the contracts are hosted, via phone calls (incoming and outgoing), and even through emails, but all my efforts have been in vain. It's been months since I've been trying to cancel my subscription, and I've made well over a dozen attempts in the past six months. I've requested, begged, and even threatened to file formal complaints and write reviews warning others off, just like I'm doing now. But, to my surprise, I keep getting billed!

I've seen many reviews describing exactly what I've experienced, so it's clear that this is a standard business practice for Ionos and not an isolated error. I'm warning you, please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Their low rates may seem attractive, but their unethical billing practices will eventually catch up with you.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and their billing practices are unethical. If you're looking for a reliable hosting provider, I suggest you look elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did.

1&1 Ionos Unreliable and Frustrating: My Experience with Ionos Web Hosting

I am really frustrated with Ionos. I was convinced to add some extra features a few months ago to boost my website's traffic through SEO. However, when I finally tried to use these features, I found myself constantly being redirected to other pages and being prompted to purchase more and different services. This was really annoying and made it difficult for me to get anything done.

To make matters worse, I spent hours setting up Google Ads, only to find out that I couldn't finalize the process because I didn't receive the cell code authentication. I thought it was a website error, so I called in twice to try and resolve the issue. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally told that I needed to pay at least $25 a month just to use Google Ads, which was another extra cost. I was so angry about my lost hours trying to hack through something impossible and basically being scammed by my own web host.

It's bad enough that Ionos requires multiple layers of subscriptions, but it's even worse that they let you prepare all this marketing stuff on their form pages only to tell you that you can't even use it. This is really frustrating and makes me feel like I've wasted my time and money with this company.

Overall, I would not recommend Ionos to anyone looking for a reliable web host. Their constant upselling and confusing pricing structure make it difficult to get anything done, and their customer service is not very helpful. If you're looking for a web host, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

1&1 Ionos IONOS Web Hosting: A Nightmare Experience with Copyright Infringement

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with IONOS. So, I had this picture on my website that I got from a template on their Web Builder Design Tab. Next thing I know, I get a demand letter from an attorney for $3500, accusing me of copyright infringement. I mean, come on, I didn't even know it was copyrighted!

So, I reached out to IONOS, called them up and sent them a bunch of emails. They told me that they escalated the issue and that someone would call me back "shortly". But, it's been 24 hours and I still haven't heard anything. I mean, what's their definition of "shortly"?

Now, I have to go and find myself an attorney to represent me because there's no way I'm paying that kind of money. Going to court without representation is just not an option. And, honestly, I feel like IONOS is 100% responsible for this whole mess.

I've even taken down the picture and my entire website. I've got screenshots of everything just in case it all disappears from the IONOS site. And, you know what? I'm even thinking about finding a new web hosting company altogether.

It's just frustrating that this could all be avoided if they just returned my call. But, I guess that's just how it goes sometimes.

1&1 Ionos Avoid Ionos at All Costs: My Terrible Experience with Their Customer Support

I have to say, my experience with Ionos (ionos.com) was not a pleasant one. I purchased a hosting plan from them about a year ago and everything seemed to be going well. However, just two days before my renewal date, I decided to cancel my subscription. That's when things started to go downhill.

I received an automated message stating that I still had to pay for the canceled subscription. I was confused and frustrated, so I reached out to their customer support team. My consultant, Arke Cenabr, told me that I needed to pay the invoice and that he would refund me immediately to help remove the automated notice. I reluctantly agreed and paid the total amount, but when I asked for the refund, they told me that they would deduct $70 for the two days of usage of the subscription, even though I had canceled it before the renewal date!

I was outraged and felt like I was being robbed. After many messages back and forth, they eventually reduced the deduction to $20. I still wasn't happy about it, but I agreed to it anyway. However, I still haven't received my refund from them. I've asked them multiple times to refund my money, but they've refused and even went as far as suspending my account and all my services. They told me to open a dispute against them with my financial institution to get my money back!

Honestly, I feel like they're scammers and I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy from them. There are plenty of other qualified and cheaper hosting options out there. Save yourself the headache and avoid Ionos at all costs.

1&1 Ionos Nightmare Cancellation Process with Ionos Hosting Service: A Frustrating Experience

So, we had to make a new website when we got our business, and we decided to cancel our hosting service with Ionos. Let me tell you, it was a real pain in the butt. First of all, finding the option to cancel on their website was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It took us forever to locate it. And even when we did, we found out that we had to call their 877 number to actually cancel.

So, we called and waited on hold for what felt like an eternity. Finally, after 20-30 minutes, we were connected to a representative. But instead of just canceling our service, they tried to convince us not to cancel. They used every trick in the book to try to keep us as customers. It was really frustrating.

Eventually, they agreed to send us the domain transfer code, but we had to be careful. They also offered to update our contact information, but if we accepted that, our account would be locked for an additional 60 days. That meant two more months of fees charged!

We thought we were in the clear once we got the transfer code, but we were wrong. We checked our email and found out that they had canceled our cancellation! Can you believe it? We had to send multiple very long email complaints to get the 60 day hold removed.

Once we finally got that sorted out, we had to log in and cancel again. And then we had to call and wait on hold AGAIN. And of course, we had to endure the hard sell all over again. It was ridiculousness, I tell you.

Overall, our experience with Ionos was not a good one. The cancellation process was a nightmare, and we wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

1&1 Ionos False Promises: Ionos' 24/7 Support Falls Short for Small Business Owner's Website-Building Needs

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Ionos. They talk a big game about their 24/7 support, but when it comes down to it, it's really just the basic, password-resetting type of staff that's available all the time. If you need anything more complicated than that, you're out of luck.

I'm a small business owner, and I was trying to build a website for my company. I asked six different chat reps if tier 2 support was available on the weekends, because that's when I have the most time to work on my site. They all said yes, and I even got it in writing. But when I actually tried to work on my site this weekend, I found out that tier 2 support was not available at all.

The tier 1 guy I talked to said that their site builder was "broken," and there was no one available to fix it on the weekend. He said they'd call me back in a couple of days, but that didn't really help me when I had set aside the entire day to work on my site. I was pretty frustrated, to say the least.

If Ionos hadn't promised me that tier 2 support was available on weekends, I wouldn't be so mad. But they did, and then they didn't deliver. It's not a good look for them, and I'm not sure I'll be using their services again in the future.

1&1 Ionos Buyer Beware: My Experience with Ionos as a Domain Registrar

Ionos can be a bit tricky to deal with, so be careful before you make any purchases. I've been a loyal customer for years and have registered around 150 domains with them. However, I've recently noticed that their prices are no longer competitive, so I've started transferring my domains to a new registrar.

One of the biggest issues I've had with Ionos is their user interface. It's slow and clumsy, and it takes forever to navigate through their pages. Cancelling a contract, for example, requires you to go through seven different pages. If you have a lot of domains, cancelling can be a real nightmare.

I thought I had turned off all auto-renew options, but it turns out there were two that I missed. I didn't think it would be a big deal since I didn't have any valid payment methods on file. However, Ionos still charged me for those domains, even though I had transferred them to a different registrar. They extended me "credit" to do this, and then came after me for payment. Eventually, they sold my "debt" to a collection agency.

To make matters worse, Ionos refused to help me cancel my domains with them. I had to do it all manually, which took me over five hours since I had so many domains.

Overall, I'm not a fan of Ionos. Their user interface is clunky, and they can be sneaky when it comes to charging you for things you don't want. If you're thinking about using them, be careful and make sure you read all the fine print.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Misleading: My Experience with Ionos Hosting Provider

My experience with Ionos was not a pleasant one, to say the least. From the very beginning, I was met with unprofessionalism and unfriendliness. The contracts they offer are misleading and reflect their low standard of business ethics. For instance, they include terms such as "30 day money back guarantee" in emails, but when you try to claim it, they refuse to honor it, stating that "the hosting contract that you have ordered does not have 30-days money-back-guarantee". Why include that in the footer of the confirmation emails then? It's misleading and dishonest.

Another major issue with Ionos is its lack of customer support for the southern hemisphere. If you have an urgent problem with the hosting provider, you will need to wait until their customer service team wakes up before you can get help. And even then, their preferred method of contact is by phone, which is useless if you are outside the small list of countries with their call centers in. This is a major inconvenience for anyone who lives in the southern hemisphere and needs help with their hosting provider.

Overall, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your hosting provider. There are much better options out there, such as Bluehost, which offers a much better service and 24/7 support. It's definitely worth the extra cost to have a reliable hosting provider that you can count on. Don't waste your time with Ionos - they're not worth it.

1&1 Ionos Disappointing Experience with Ionos: Beware of Low Prices and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Ionos (ionos.com) and I must say, I was quite disappointed. At first glance, their prices seemed too good to be true. And as it turns out, they were. I quickly realized that they were fraudsters.

The first issue I encountered was with my password. It simply didn't work. I tried their automated password change service, but it didn't fix the issue. I paid for an account that I couldn't even log into. Frustrating, right?

I tried to log a support ticket, but guess what? Their password doesn't allow a login. So, I had to resort to emailing their support team. But that didn't work either. Their support staff refused to talk about my account unless I used the email registered with them. I use aliases for my emails and have never had this issue with any other company.

I thought maybe I could sort it out over the phone. But that was a nightmare. Their customer disservice has been offshored to the Philippines. It took forever to get through to someone and when I finally did, they hung up on me when I asked to speak with a supervisor. They wouldn't even talk about my account until I provided a pin they had given me. But even then, they didn't recognize their own pin!

Eventually, I asked to speak with sales and managed to get a refund. But it was a long and frustrating process. It's no wonder their prices are so low. I know tech folk who have used their services and they attest to an intolerable customer disservice level.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Ionos. Their prices may seem attractive, but the headaches and frustration that come with their service are not worth it. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable web hosting provider.

1&1 Ionos Unprofessional and Rude Customer Service: My Experience with IONOS

I recently decided to give IONOS a try, as I was in need of email service for my domain and thought their website builder might come in handy as well. They advertised a low cost of just 2 dollars for the first month, which seemed like a great deal to me. However, my experience with them quickly turned sour.

On the day that they were supposed to charge my account, I had only 23 dollars left to last me until my next paycheck, which was still four days away. To my shock and dismay, they took the entire amount, leaving me with nothing. I immediately called their customer service line, but unfortunately, I had trouble communicating with the representative due to a language barrier. I asked to speak with a manager, but was hung up on before I could do so.

I called back a second time, trying to remain calm and polite, but once again, I was hung up on when I requested to speak with a manager. This was incredibly frustrating, as I needed that money for gas to get to work over the next few days. I called a third time, and was told that there was no manager on site, but that someone would call me back. Unfortunately, I never received a call back from them.

In the end, I had to cancel everything with IONOS the very next day. The customer service representative assured me that my money would be refunded within hours, but almost a week later, I still had not received it. This was a huge inconvenience for me, and I regret ever trying their service.

Overall, I would not recommend doing business with IONOS. Their customer service was unprofessional and rude, and the fact that they took all of my money without warning was a complete rip off. In the future, I will only do business with companies that provide American-based customer service. This experience was a valuable lesson for me, and I hope that others can learn from my mistake.

1&1 Ionos Website service

This is the worst company on the planet. They should not be allowed to do business or operate. I canceled a website and was billed for 7 months afterwards. Every time I called, I got a different run around. No one knows what they are doing or talking about at this company. They do not keep records of any previous conversations, so know one can track down anything. My websites would go offline. Everyone gives you a different story. There is no escalation department at Ionos. You are stuck talking to a bunch of people whom at first seem knowledgeable. You will think they know what they are doing. Do not be deceived! When you call back next week because the problem is not fixed but worse, they will once again sound good but it will never be fixed. Your website will never function properly. Oh and they will not credit you back for all of their mistakes. Every dollar that you invest in this company will be wasted.

Desired outcome: Close of this business!
