May 17 I had a CTA. The nurse gave me 3 dosages of Betha blockers to get my heart rate below 65 they put me inn the Donut machine and put iodine in my veins. It did'nt work. They took me to the room again and gave me another dosage. They took me to the CTA machine again and they gave me another dosage intravenous this time. They did the CTA finally,
I told the nurse that I was dizzy, she told me that they put a lot of medicine in my veins (I was fasting since the night before) to go and eat something and I will feel better.
They never told me I couldnt drive and she was walking with me to the exit. (I was alone) when I fell and hurt my forehead. I told her I was dizzy she should have use a wheel chair. I told her I was alone she new.
I ended up in the emergency room with a big bump in my head.
THEY need to change the instructions and advise patient not to drive.
Is 48 hrs and I still feel the effect of the medicine in my body.
Did they followed a protocol about the amount of medicines in my veins?
Desired outcome: check with the nurse to see if they did the right thing.AND change the instructions for this test. Somebody should drive the patient.
